"Very bad experience
We were going to have a late arrival as my 7 yr size ld was sick and we had informed Padre escapes on time in the morning. We were assured that the keys would be left with the watch man of the Gulf Stream property. However when we reached there at 2am and met the security we were told he did not have the keys. Plus we were told that apparently our names were not on the reservation. We had two kids and an elderly parent and In the middle of the night we have to find accommodation at another hotel. We had to pay more around $350 for this late night booking at another hotel.
The following morning when we called up the padre escapes office nobody seemed to be ready to acknowledge the problem and somebody just went ahead and canceled our whole reservation.. one of the people who were talking to since morning just left for lunch and we had to repeat tge whole story to others.. This was preposterous! Then later after us calling them several times they booked us back into the same property and at the same rate. No aologies or compensation were provided to us and it was horribly to see that kind lack of accountability!! Will never go back! "

"Guajardo family trip
We had the most wonderful time. There was plenty of room in the condo and two night we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves it was marvelous. My husband who never likes to go anywhere wants to make this an annual trip with the family. Thank you for always being attentive and present for anything we needed. We will definitely be returning soon. "

"Beach Paradise
Great location. Right on the beach. Beautiful sunrise each day. The condo was clean and perfect for our needs. We didn't use the kitchen as we ate out each day, but everything we needed was there. I highly recommend this place. The people in the office were polite and the grounds keepers were friendly."

"Oceantastic
We had a wonderful time staying at Gulfstream. It's so easy to go from the beach to the pool. The pool was large enough for a lot of people. The room 213 was beautiful and decorated like home. It was very clean. My only complaint was the windows from the bedroom looking out on the ocean were so dirty it was hard to see out of them."

"Laguna Madre Fishing Trip
We really enjoyed the place, and the location was awesome. The only complaint is trying to figure out the living room tv. We had 3 people from 3 different age groups that could not figure it out and we finally had to call maintenance."

This was a 60th birthday girlfriend getaway! The ease of check-in was perfect, calling to ask question after hours was followed up the very next morning! Great customer service from (Property Management). The owners of the condo did a wonderful job and we were all very comfortable in the very sere, well appointesurroundings.only thing needed was a new coffee maker, this one kept dropping g grounds into the pot. "

(Property Management), GS 213 was a great experience. 4 adults stayed and we had everything we needed. All staff was friendly & attentive. Condo is a few steps from the Gulf, can hear the waves outside. Only thing that would've made it better would have been a screen on the door in the living rm & and an opening door with screen in the bedroom facing the Gulf. "

"Overall good.
Only thing we didn't like was the limitations on the amount of towels and such that we were allowed. There were six of us staying and was difficult to manage that. We were also only allowed four rolls of toilet paper for our stay. A couple extras would have been nice, especially with four kids. But overall it was a nice place and we were very happy. The view and proximity of the beach was great. The exterior of the building when we drove up was a little scary but the condition of the interiors was great and the staff was awesome to deal with. Loved the pool. Washers and dryers could have used some help. Had to pay the dryer three times to get our clothes dry. "

"Beachfront Convenience
The unit was as close and convenient as described. Loved being able to walk out (or drive) to the beach or enjoy the view from the balcony. Many restaurants are nearby. Beds were comfortable, unit and the grounds were clean. Plenty of starter supplies. Only improvements I could suggest is more dinner plates and some newer pots. "

"Padre 2021
Overall, our stay was great. The condo was clean and just what we wanted - right on the beach. Loved the murphy bed in the front bedroom as it gave the perfect amount of beds for our whole family. Response for one problem was quickly addressed by the onsite property maintenance. The other issue was hot water in the kitchen, but we opted to let that be addressed after we departed. Loved the games and the beach "stuff" available for use. Having restaurants and shopping nearby was great. We even got in a morning at the aquarium and enjoyed a golf cart rental for exploring the beach areas. Would rent this condo again."

"Great stay
Fantastic stay. We have stayed all over the island for forty or so years and this has a great location with phenomenal proximity to the beach. The room was well appointed and was perfect for our family of 6. The beach access road is right around the corner, but is not necessary as the beach is close enough to carry or wagon tarps. We will return in the future. Did I mention you can get from your front door in San Antonio to the sands in front of the condo in 2.5 hours."

"Problems with Condo
Great location and condo was clean but there were problems. The oven didn't work - first morning breakfast did not happen because oven not working. It was repaired when we returned that evening. Needed wi-fi for work to be done Friday. Did not have wi-fi entire weekend - still not working when we left. These were aggravating problems that caused time away from our plans. "

Me and my family absolutely loved our stay!! My wife and daughter had never been to an ocean and when making our reservation we based it on the proximity of the beach. This condo is right on the beach!!! Enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub too!! The only recommendation is to put a laundry soap machine that sells small boxes of detergent. "

"Nice Stay
We enjoyed our month long stay in room 213. We had various issues in the beginning and we were VERY satisfied with (Property Management) and their response. Issues were taken care of immediately.
We do wish we would have gotten a higher floor because you can hear everything down below. We did not know you could drive on the beach before we arrived and we were disappointed because you really couldn't enjoy your balcony view with all the cars blocking it and the noise that came with it. This went on from sunrise until into the night and sometimes overnight.
We totally understand that a hurricane messed with the beach, but the WHOLE time the machines were outside our condo with the beeping from 6AM to about 4PM. With my husband having knowledge in the heavy construction business he said it could have been done in a week and a half easily. Really ruined it for us!!
The boardwalk was great! We rode our bikes daily and walked every day on it. The pool was SUPER! Very relaxing. We liked the hot tub and the shuffleboard court a lot.
The unit was decorated very well and provided everything you might need to cook with. The best thing was the floor to ceiling windows!!!! That was the main reason we decided to book the unit and they did not disappoint. "

"Great location
We picked this unit for it's location right on the beach and were please with the view and easy access to the beach. The Air conditioner was not working upon our arrival at 2pm. The property was able to fix it by 9pm and it cooled off enough for us to go to bed that night. This was a short stay for us so was disappointing to have to deal with a serious maintenance issue on our first day. The air conditioner unit was very old, dirty, and had a leak which would have been easily detected if maintained properly. The complex and unit itself could use some updating, but it was clean and neat. The complex staff were all very helpful and friendly. Nice pool on the backside of the property."

"early Oct visit
The condo was adequate and for the price point, reasonable,but there were issues. The silverware was terrible, I think plastic would have been sturdier. There were not enough dishes & we had to wash often. The cookware was adequate but clearly had seen it's prime & was a bit ragtag. The knives were terrible & could not cut veggies or meat without major effort & ragged effect. Luckily we brought a good one with us. Serving bowls were plentiful which was appreciated.
There were some maintenance issues (ceiling light out in the bedroom, hot water in the kitchen took 10 minutes to get hot, & issues with the coffee maker). However, the staff was very helpful & responded quickly & cheerfully but could not fix any of the above. The staff in fact was a high point - every single one was helpful, friendly & a delight to deal with. I liked that sheets & towels were laundered & vacuum packed & the condo was very clean. The bathrooms were nice overall but the toilets a little balky. The AC worked well, another big plus. Info beforehand was spotty & not clear - the murphy beds were not adequately described & we got conflicting info on laundry facilities, ice machines, & how many steps to the beach each time we called (the steps to the beach are important to know - if someone mobility issues they are difficult to maneuver & made a beach wagon impossible) - things it would be good to know in advance). The rugs in the condo were curled up in several places & created a trip hazard. This would be dangerous for kids. Otherwise, the interior was nicely appointed.
Great location, nice pool area, & accommodating staff were big pluses (they even came up and helped us when we had trouble with tv remotes). I have stayed here almost every Padre visit for 40 years & found things a little run down this time. However,
the staff, proximity to Mustang Island State Park and the fact only 2 condos are in this immediate area were big benefits. The beach was groomed da"

A very nice rental property, right on the beach. Everything was as advertised and we experienced no real problems. My main recommendation is that both king bed mattresses be replaced as they are very worn out and lumpy. Loved the views and the management company was excellent. We will be coming back for as long as possible.

"Awesome beach escape
This was our second stay at this vacation rental. We consider it our beach home away from home. It’s right on the beach allowing easy access whether you want an invigorating swim or just to sit by the water soaking up the sun and sounds of the ocean with your favorite beverage. It soothes the soul and provides respite for a hectic life. The hot tub and pool are awesome alternatives. We will stay here again."

"Great experience
We stayed for 4 nights. The experience was awesome. Omg the view was splendid. We got front beach view which was something very important to us.
The room was well equipped with everything you need, including hand soap (even though I brought my own because in the past the other condos I stayed at didn’t) , which is very rare. Little things like that count when you are on vacation.
The rooms were very pretty. There were 2 king sized beds, one sleeper sofa, a bunk bed, so this condo would accommodate many people. We go to the beach at least once a year and so far this Rental has been the best one. We will definitely come back again. Thank you owners for being so considerate. Loved the artwork and pictures and decorations in the rental. ❤️❤️❤️"

"Vacation
Very nice place, and we had fun on the beach. The location right next to the beach was a plus! Only thing about the rental property I did. Not like was that I paid for an ocean view which we had off our balcony, however the master bedroom big windows which could've displayed a nice view were so dirty you could barely see out of them. I asked to have them cleaned but they could not do it while we were there. I was a little disappointed on that cause of the money I paid to rent the condo. "

"Nice little condo on the beach
We had a great time in this condo. The place was nice and clean, well furnished. We loved that our balcony faced the ocean and was just a short walk away. The pool area is great for kids of all ages, they even have a small toddler area. They have grills set up by the pool and a laundry room. We loved this place! "
