We really enjoyed staying at El Constante !
Everything was clean, the view was excellent. The only thing I could suggest to the owner to put up some type of curtain in the bedroom to block the light from the parking lot."

Room was very clean and kitchen was full of devi es we could actually use. Only issues were the pull out couch was broken so either you sleep with neck pointing down or sit up right. I had to sleep at foot of bed to even be semi comfortable. Also both ceiling fan we noisy. "

"Bed feels like concrete
The ocean proximity and pet friendliness was perfection! The bed feels like you are sleeping on concrete. Bring earplugs bc the AC roars like a dinosaur out the bedroom window. The ceiling fan clank clank clanks. There is Zero insulation between floors and it sounded as if up above neighbors were bowling from 9pm -midnight. You can hear every foot shuffle and every sneeze from your neighbors."

Condo is a short walk to the beach. Condo needs new furniture and an overall update. Being on the first floor, you hear on the noise from the unit above. The best part of the condo unit is that it is right on the beach. "

"Super easy beach access
This condo is so convenient- you can go back and forth to the beach with ease. Kids can grab a snack in the condo and then go back to the beach for more play. The pool here is awesome."

"Quaint room walking distance to beach
Room had a smell to it, pull out couch should be replaced as it’s broken and on its last leg, pots aren’t safe for use as they all have scratches and plastic cooking tools with melting edges. Shower was dirty with no extra TP, only one extra towel for four guests and wasn’t aware until the last day that there are pool/beach towels for use as property guest. Library was cute and nice bonus. Loved the heated pool and jacuzzi. Quick walk to beach with shower to clean off. Parking was safe and good. Loved the easy check in and check out process. Fan in living was broken and only on lowest setting, wish we could’ve turned it higher. We paid for location and convenience, which is what we got. The room could just use some upgrades. Would recommend property again. Be aware there must be stairs right above this room because it was constant walking and stomping. Not much property owner can do but it was keeping us up at night. "

"We didn’t stay. Husband got sick. You wouldn’t let us reschedule.
My husband got sick before our set dates and when I called about rescheduling, they said no. Originally the dates were set for when the hurricane came in and they did a mandatory evacuation of all people who were not citizens of Padre Island. We didn’t make the drive down because of this. They didn’t refund us. We reschedule. My husband got sick so we didn’t go. And they wouldn’t refund or let us reschedule again. "

"Needs updating
Pictures online are not recent. Couch is completely wore out and the bed is as hard as a rock. Checked out a day early because of the bed. It was worth losing the nights stay so we didn’t have to sleep in that bed another night. "

"Great location for us.
We had a great stay. The location was great for our activities and the areas we visited. It was a nice easy walk to the beach. The parking was nice as we parked right in front of our door. Although a few people around us took up two parking places but it really didn’t affect us. The unit we stayed in was clean and well maintained. Although the fold out couch was a little uncomfortable.
The bed was nice and on the firm side but it worked great especially since we both like a firmer mattress. I had the pleasure of saying hello to the neighbors. Even though the ones that were staying on the second floor directly above us did not look like dancers, it did sound like they were having a dance contest or some other shindig. They did thankfully quite down though late in the evening.
Property management did let us know and kept us up to date with a hot tub issue they were having, so kudos to them for good communication. Over all the stay was great and I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from them again. We didn’t use the pool or the hot tub, or any other services there so I’m unable to give feedback on them. "

"Great Condo on the Beach - Dog Friendly
The condo is located on right on the beach with parking right in front of the condo to unload all of your beach gear.
The condo was very clean and has the basic cooking items needed to prepare meals.
We especially liked that the unit was dog friendly.
My only suggestion is that the unit needs a new mattress.
This is our second time to stay in an El Constante condo and we would recommend it to others looking for a beach get away."

"April Stay
Overall it was a nice stay and nice place. The 4pm check in time and then lack of responses about checking in early left us wondering and waiting around. We almost thought the place was a scam and we wouldn't have a place to stay. The water heater doesn't keep warm for very long. We had to alternate shower times. There were not any beach towels and basic amenities like shampoo. I assumed it would have had them, but not the end of the world. The location was nice and the beach was a lot of fun. "

"Island Getaway
The condo was clean and was a good location on the first floor. One thing that we had an issue with was the WiFi connection never worked. I tried both user names provided and kept getting an error the unit not found. I called the office and they suggested I reboot the system which I tried but received the same error. The condo was very convenient to get to the beach area."

We loved the location of the condo, but the bed is old, extremely firm and uncomfortable. It is very noisy, so hard not to wake the other person in the bed when moving. Any decent memory foam mattress purchased from Amazon would be better."

"The family had a great time! But ...
The room was really nice, really need to have renters with dogs and kids stay on the bottom floor. That was the hardest part of sleeping was all the noise they made sounded like furniture was being moved. Other than trying to sleep the room was nice and AC worked great. The pool was nice beach was even better, would like it if the drive on the beach wasn't right in front of the condominium. We had kids and people drive to fast on the sand. Never saw security, people at the pool not wearing bands and kids unattended jumping off the dolphin statue. Kitchen needs more appliances. "

We really like the area but won't stay in this room again. There was glass (a lot) in the floor of the pantry, kitchen anad we found some in the living area the next day. The bed was brick hard - we managed by taking the sofa bed mattress out and placed it on top of the bed mattress. The bathroom sink did not drain well. "

Overall the location and convenience to the beach from the room is great, the kitchen is also fully functional but the sofa bed was not functional - So the management gave us a rollaway - But it was too small and the mattress was very uncomfortable and squeaky - The springs hurt my back and I did not have a good sleep. The queen bed mattress in the bedroom was also super squeaky and uncomfortable - We have an 18 month old and every time I twisted or turned the baby woke up due to the noise. so I moved to the sofa and then the rollaway but I wasn't able to sleep well on both the nights"

Very nice and clean. The only thing is that our pillows were worn out and the mattress needs to be replaced the bed made squeaking noises. It was hard to get comfortable the mattress was very lumpy. I would recommend as long as the mattress issues get fixed."

"Right on the Beach BUT Very Thin Walls
Property was right on the beach with easy and quick access to the beach from the property and from the public beach access road which is right next to the property. The layout of the rental was perfect for a small family and included all the essentials needed for a stay. The property was clean upon check-in and the staff was very kind and welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked with all you need- functional kitchen. Extra blankets, pillows, and sheets were in the rental and the decor and furniture in the rental were accommodating and quaint. Our biggest issue was the very thin ceiling walls and the pull-out couch being broken and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on (for an adult). The thin ceilings made it very difficult to enjoy being inside the rental property. Unfortunately we had inconsiderate upstairs neighbors who stomped, ran up and down the hall, moved furniture, slammed items on the floor and let their children stomp through all hours of the day and even late into the night (past quiet hours - until 2 am!). Thankfully we spent the majority of the day at the beach and didn't have to deal with the noise but at night it made it very difficult for my 6 and 9 year old daughters to fall asleep (thank God for our sound machine on full blast). I suggested a new pull-out couch because you feel the frame while sleeping on top of the thin mattress and the end of the bed would lean up with any pressure put towards the head of the bed. Overall, its a very cute and clean property, but just a toss up of whether you will have considerate quiet upstairs neighbors. We look forward to return to the El Constante but trying a different property unit (upstairs). "

Awesome. I know there was work being done so I was prepared to walk a ways to unload and load my truck. Workers were pleasant and did not bother me with their working. #117 was the One Bedroom - Dune Side - Perfect walk to the boardwalk, beach, and pool. I have stayed many times but will request this unit each time I book. Inside was beautiful and well supplied. Only praises for this unit and the staff! "

"Too many calls from management
It was one call or text after another from the day of check in until check out. We were on vacation not wanting to babysit a telephone and if there was no response another call or text was sent. Paperwork all done via computer on day of, more paperwork in the morning. We got in at 3AM and calls were coming in at 8AM about additional paperwork. Check out was at 11 at 8AM calls started again. We inquired about an additional night night which would have been 4 nights that unit was not available but another one was but it would require a 2 night minimum even though we had already been there 3. Forget it!!! We gave someone else our money. Vacation is vacation and for me it is without daily contact on a cell phone. I feel like this system needs to be revised."

"post-Hanna incompetence
It could have been much better if the management team at (Property Management) had been been willing to move my young family and I to a room that had electricity after power was restored for most of the building. It was very, very hot and humid and my family did not sleep the first day, night, or next day. There were units with power that were available but nobody was onsite to confirm that they were not, in fact, damaged. Consequently, other little amenities such as clean bath towels, were unavailable, too. The location for El Constante was great, room 117 was wonderfully decorated and worked for our family, but the lack of electricity was unbearable and completely avoidable. I'm fairly certain that it was just an administrative chore that they did not want to do, and it actually didn't matter what the cause was, they didn't do it. Moving us two doors down would have changed our whole experience."

Overall a good place to stay. Unit was very clean and good size. Bathroom had it’s issues. Toilet was leaking and shower head was busted. Apparently it was not important enough to fix till the next day. Units are old so you can hear every step your upstairs neighbor takes. I would definitely recommend this condo. "

"Great vacation on the beach!
Our unit was clean and nicely decorated. Everything was in working order. The bed was comfortable. I wish the chairs on our front porch had been more comfortable as I really love to sit outside in the morning to drink my coffee. I was surprised that the TV had Netflix and other streaming services available as well as good WiFi...nice touch!"

"Beach Retreat
We have been coming to this location for several years now. The location is perfect with the beach directly in front and location close to neat places to stop in to eat or drink. The units are stocked with necessary items for your stay and overall the furniture is nice and decorations pleasing. The units are spacious and there is a main pool that is close to the ocean view and offers an outside shower area to rinse feet etc. On this trip; however, the little tropical bushes in front of the lower levels were being cut down to the ground, and replaced with rocks. Very unattractive and exposes the front porch to people walking by. The plants were said to have a fungus and that they were drying slowly. They removed all the brushes and were not replaced- just cut to the ground. Rocks... The unit this time smelled of cleanser; however the tub area and floor tile in the corner was not as clean as it has been in the past, the carpet was not very clean nor under it and the shower rod was old with some corrosion- in need of replacement... The outdoor chairs were an upgrade and a nice touch!"

Neither of us had been on a vacation in years (post divorce) and we really looked forward to our stay. we were not disappointed. the kitchen was perfect for the two of us and was equipped with all the cooking utensils that we needed. even coffee filters and some tupperware that the previous tenants had left behind to pay it forward i guess. will definitely do this again. "

"Weekend getaway with limited space!
We always go to Port Aransas and decided to try this location from a referral from a friend. The room itself was spacious and in great shape. The location is awesome… Right next to the beach. The only complaints we had were that the other people staying brought trailers with golf carts and took up all the parking. We went out to eat, took a drive on the beach and caught a movie… By the time we got back it was 1 AM. There was no parking whatsoever. We circled the parking lot three times, and counted 10 spots filled with golf carts and trailers. I spoke to the front desk the next morning and they said that there are regulations to where they have to park trailers and ATVs at another location. Upon checking in, they said that they have nighttime security, it just looks like they would have enforced the rules a little more."

"Retired Arizona Couple's North Padre Spring Vacation
We always wanted to
see the Padre area,and El Constante looked great online. After Hurricane Harvey, many nearby hotels were either closed or under reconstruction, but El Constante was in great shape, and improving the courtyard area with new gates and pool deck. A beautifully heated pool and adjacent hot tub, oceanfront...close to the Bob Hall Pier, National Seashore, wonderful restaurants, stores and Catholic church too. The staff, especially Samantha, Christy and Larry were so friendly and happy to answer questions or just take time to tell us about our unit and the area. I want to thank them for their kindness and professionalism! Our condo was excellent, being on the ground floor made it easy for my husband having a walking disability. Extra's in the unit like toiletries, extra towels, pillows, blankets were provided including daily beach towel rentals. We enjoyed a relaxing vacation without spring break noise at an affordable price. In the future, we plan on securing a 2 bedroom,3 bathroom, two story oceanfront condo to spend time with the grandchildren! "

"Enjoyable Yearly Visit
My wife and I enjoy this location. We have fun visiting the beaches. This is the first time there was some confusion and delay at check-in. I knew there was a problem when the first words from the desk clerk at check-in was "unfortunately your room hasn't been checked." We had to wait outside the room. Did not get offered to wait in office area with cool AC. Otherwise the room was great."
