Was a little concerned about the $30 fee for checking in early.
Kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed.

"Very relaxing stay, very conveniently located off beach
The condo was lovely. It was a very relaxing stay even though we had our two toddlers with us. Love the location of the condo specifically close access to the beach, and great access to the pool as well. The one complaint I had was that the non attached bathroom water pressure when using the shower specifically was super slow. We all had to share the master for showering purposes, but other wise very nice place. The decorations were tasteful, but not overbearing for the kids to mess with. Will definitely consider this condo when we return next summer. "

"So so beach experience
The condo was clean but the beds were uncomfortable and we experienced an electrical problem after hours. The issue was resolved the next day but would of felt better if there was some sort of after hours assistance. I probably would stay again but in a different unit because of the uncomfortable beds."

"The Perfect Place

"Very Happy
The condo was nice and clean. The downstairs TV had lots of channels but, the upstairs TV had about 3. Also, the A/C was mostly for downstairs. Very little went to the bedrooms so, we had to have the ceiling fans running full speed at night. That was very noisy.
Otherwise the place was very much to our liking and we will/would return again."

"You get what you pay for so buyer beware
We wanted to stay on the beach and knew that the the public beach access road was right next to the complex, but that also meant that most of the beach goers were large groups of day trippers. It was crowded on the weekend with lots of competing loud music. The unit next to us was a large group of 20 somethings who partied into the wee hours of the morning.
All of this MIGHT have been overlooked if it hadn't been for the overall uncleanliness of the unit. After all, the complex doesn't control the behavior of renters. Despite supposedly being "recently renovated" and yet nothing looked new, there was a layer of grime on everything: the dining room table, the railing on the stairs, the cooktop. There was oil (from the tar balls on the beach) on the tub floor. Carpets upstairs that had seen better days....15 YEARS AGO! You almost didn't want to walk on them. Didn't even feel like they had been vacuumed anytime recently let alone shampooed ever. The curtains were coated with dust across the top. Rust, rust rust everywhere:the metal freezer shelf was completely rusted over, the curtain rings were rusted, AC vent covers we're rusted. The arms of the couch were threadbare. I could go on, but you get the point.
I typically bring a few cleaning supplies with me, but I generally only use them to clean up after myself. Why did I pay a cleaning fee at all. Next time I'll pay $75 to $100 more per night and hopefully get something nicer. I guess this is the real consequence of inflation.
The girl at the checkin desk was friendly. Only talked to her once, but she recommended a couple of good restaurants. "

"Good for a Quick Trip
We used to spend every summer here growing up. I have so many pictures in the pool with the dolphin, so many photos of different units, we loved it. We came for the weekend for a quick fishing trip. The weather was not wonderful so that's what made us spend more time in the unit than we had planned. In doing so it just became apparent how outdated the beds are, the carpet, the bathrooms. It was ok for the price and the amount of time we went but I wouldn't stay for the week like we used to over the summer. Especially with summer prices I would be upset if I spent that amount of money for the quality of the place. It just is pretty dated. They made efforts after hurricane harvey but it could use more. The king bed was pretty uncomfortable and very low to the ground. The pull out bed was pretty bad as well a very thin mattress and we had two teen boys on that. Overall it was ok for a two night stay just wish they made some effort to make modern up to date improvements. "

"Great value get-a-way
We've stayed at condos at this location too many times to count. As usual, it was a good value for the money. The condos are always nicely decorated, clean and spacious. There is often a musty smell, but being near the beach, it can't really be helped. It disapates once you have the air and fans running and have opened the doors a few times."

"Great condo with an excellent location
This was our first time staying at the El Constantine (211). The location was perfect and right on the beach. The condo itself was pretty comfortable. Our girls loved the pool as well. We would definitely stay again. "

"Great getaway for locals
Even though we live in Corpus Christi waking up in the beach is so much better. We celebrated my husbands 60th with family and friends at cur local bar Pelican Lounge, enjoyed the beach Saturday, the pool afterwards and the beach again Sunday because we were so close. "

The location was great but would've been nicer if condiments were included. Listing does say to bring specific items but this is the first rental I've stayed at where I had to bring my own salt/pepper, coffee filters, coffee...and they only give you 1 bath towel per guest"

"Great Beach Vacation
This was our second time visiting this resort location. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The unit was very clean and well prepped for our arrival. The furniture was comfortable. The only negative was that the internet service was unusable. After following the steps to connect to the Wi-Fi the error of no internet service available was noted even after restarting the modem and the router multiple times."

"Grandson’s first beach visit.
This was the first time we ever used a rental property for a vacation. The photos and descriptions helped with our decision to rent. Unfortunately there discrepancies in both. We did get a message, the evening before our stay, that the hide a couch was broken, but an inflatable bed would be available. The cushions on the couch were almost pushed so flat and angled forward we could not use it to comfortably sit in the tv area. That made for limited comfortable seating downstairs. The photo of the cushions on the couch were nothing like we had. In the descriptions it was noted there was a trundle bed in one of the rooms. Our grandson has issues sleeping too far from folks so the trundle bed was ideal, but there was no trundle bed. We ended up using the large inflatable bed in the second bedroom, not made to put in a small room with a queen sized bed, limiting the space in the room. But we made it work, and he was happy. There were some other minor issues that need to be addressed, but the condos are of an age that things happen that the management company needs to keep up with. We are used to hotels, so only having one wash cloth and one bath towel per guest for a three night stay seems unreasonable. Over all, the convenience of location, the condo, the views from the room, the pool, and the staff were great. We are talking about another stay, but not sure it will be in 211. We will make sure the photos and the descriptions are correct so we won’t be disappointed the next time. "

"Great Place!
It's got its quirks but its definitely a great beachfront option. All condos in this area are old, so finding a good one can be challenging, this is one of the better ones we've stayed in. Only complaints would be the beds are relatively hard, sliding door was very hard to open and close and there were a lot of hanging cords around TV areas. Otherwise, great! View is great, pool is great, access to beach is great."

"New Updates Suggested
This is my third trip to El Constante. This was the first time that the unit was not up to par. There was obvious water leak damage in the ceiling, outdated furniture and worn master bathroom tub. Cobwebs on the ceiling fan, no pantry to store items and missing refrigerator door shelves. I will not rent Unit 211 again. I will however return to El Constante. "

"family vacation
The place was very clean and within walking distance to the beach so I didn't have to drive anywhere while we stayed beside the store or to see the sights. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be making this our go-to place every time we come to visit Corpus. There did appear to be some damage to the ceiling from maybe a possible leak from the upstairs bathroom in the dining room corner by the bar, other than that everything else was GREAT"

The condo was dated in some places but has been nicely updated. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living room furniture was very nice and comfortable. The master bedroom was amazing, large, en-suite bathroom and comfortable bed. The second room was very spacious and loved having the extra pull out bed but as a side sleeper I found the beds a little too hard for me. The dresser also smelled a little musty. We had a nice view of the beach and the walk out was short. The pool was large and had plenty of room to spread out and the staff were all amazing and helpful. "

"Salvaged vacation
We were booked into Rm 210 for 5 nights. When we arrived the a/c upstairs wasn't working, on-site management wouldn't move us but had 2 loud room a/c units put in. That night we discovered bed bugs so half of family slept on the floor downstairs. 2 toilets clogged next morning while we waited for Padre Escape management to come "inspect" our unit. He discovered dead bed bug carcasses so let us move to Rm 211. We had to haul all of our things down stairs and then up again to the new unit. Horrible start to our 39th Wedding Anniversary but thankfully Rm 211 was very nice. On-site management was horrible. No apologies for anything. Corporate management was a little better. We stayed at El Constante last year and it was wonderful. Unit 219 was great...we were just trying to get closer to the ocean..."

"Weekend get-away
The condos are very tight and balconies close together - so when the individual
Next door smoked marijuana on the balcony the smell
Was as if he was smoking in our unit. It made it impossible to use the balconies except early in the AM. The unit below us has 3 dogs and they stayed on the porch below us ... and were happy to greet us when we walked onto the balconies. The unit itself was fine. They do use a linen service and the sheets did not fit the king size bed - were too small and would not stay on-
But they corrected that when we asked them to. "

"Great place on the beach!
We loved the proximity to the pool (which was super clean every day) and the beach. All the views were amazing and also separate from the kids rooms for some quiet adult time! We loved the 2.5 bathrooms having 3 kids and 2 adults. The only drawback was the ac was not the best upstairs in the bedrooms, think 80 upstairs, 65 downstairs. Thankfully there were box fans to help cool it down to sleep. "

"Fun-filled location for Winter vacation in Texas
Been going to El Constante for about 15 years. Perfect location right on the beach with 1 mile boardwalk along the front. Weather this year was not the best but the Winter Texans always have their fun. The pool is heated and consistently warm. Property exterior is being updated. Units vary in condition and pictures can be viewed on (Property Management) website."

We enjoyed our stay at El Constante. Easy access to the beach for swimming and to the jetty for fishing. Pool was nice and well maintained. The property we stayed in, however, was dated and in need of some general upkeep, i.e. replace toilet seat in half bath, blinds were hard to open and were missing panels, living room ceiling had a softball size bulge from a water leak, paint throughout would make it look nicer as well. Construction was ongoing in other parts of the complex but did not bother us. I will recommend El Constante and will probably go back in the future."
