Loved the location and overall the condo was great. Needed some repairs (dishwasher was not anchored in and tipped over, toilet seat bolt was broken in one bathroom, and floorng in kitchen had cracks). Would have like some table lamps, especially in bedrooms. Otherwise, pool was great, access to beach was great. "

"210 El Constante
Overall stay was nice. There were only a few complaints that I let office know while staying. They offered to fix them while we were there but it wasn’t urgent. The door on the closet in the bedroom overlooking the pool wasn’t on track and fell when we opened it. The drain on the shower only bathroom was draining slow but it did drain. Upstairs does stay quit a bit hotter than downstairs we took fans and that helped some. For over half our stay our room smelled like marijuana, we told the office just so they didn’t think we were smoking in our room. They did offer an ozone air purifier for the room. The dryer vent was packed full of lent, easy fix just didn’t look like anyone has cleaned it in a while. The condo was well stocked and the washer and dryer saved the day. Location was perfect and easy to access the beach. Pool and hot tub were nice. I would stay here again. "

"El Constante Room 210 was nice / Pool was very rowdy
We loved room 210. The house was clean and not cluttered. The reviews before complained how uncomfortable and old the pull out sofa is. The reply on the reviews was the sofa had been addressed. It has not it was very old and uncomfortable. I would not say it sleeps six if the sofa is not replaced it should say it sleeps 4. We have been staying at El Constante for years and never seen the pool so rowdy and honestly scary. There is no code from the parking lot to the pool so people are coming in off the streets. We counted 22 people Saturday and 21 on Sunday with out wrist bands between 3 and 6. They were blaring music on both days extremely loud so it was hard to talk to the family around us. The night guard looked so stressed when he got there both nights at 9 and tried to enforce people in the pool wearing wrist bands they got very hostile with him. If the gate had a code like GulfStream does next door this could help prevent this problem. My sister stayed at Gulfstream and the pool was monitored and relaxing. The guard should be coming in at 4 on the weekends instead of 9 to help enforce that the people staying there are actual guest and wear wrist bands. "

"Recent Stay Review
I have been bringing my family to El Constance for years. Overall the stay is pleasant, rooms are clean. We spend a lot of time at beach and in the pool. Only one thing that kept occurring which has never happened is the unessesary mass texts about noise or whatever. One night I was awoken with a 3am text about how the pool is closed and its past quiet hours. We stayed by the pool. No one was there all night and yet the only thing that woke me up, as well as my parents in their room was a text at 3am.. that was inconsiderate... "

"Excellent First Time Experience
This was our first time staying on North Padre. It was also our first experience with (Property Management). We had an excellent stay! The property was clean and comfortable, with good beach access. Highly recommend Celsita’s Mexican food!"

"Great location
We stayed at this complex last year and enjoyed the location and ease of access. I think the unit we stayed in this time was more to our liking due to having an island instead of a bar in the kitchen. It was modern not overly cluttered and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that I would recommend is to update the stove, the burners do not lie flat and so there are really only 2 that you can use. One other thing about the complex is that the pool and hot tub had more debris in it then I remember last time. Would definitely stay in this complex and unit again."

"Great Value Fall Get-a-way
We stay at these condos at least once per year. They are a great value for location. This unit is the closest unit to the beachfront units. It was clean, nice and updated. It is also one of the only units we've stayed in with a washer and dryer available in the unit. The beds aren't the most comfortable, for us anyway. This could be partly due to the sheets used. They are hard and rough. You might prefer to bring your own. There is a regular coffee pot (not kuerig type) but no filters, so plan ahead for these things. Pleasant office staff. All in all, worth the cost."

"Nice and comfy
My family and I stayed here for 4 nights it was a nice get away. This condo is upgraded and nice. Yes, Toilet paper holders were not holding but not a big deal. I have rented other condos but I love that his one is nice and roomy! Great view to the beach and pool from the balconies. I took one star from cleanness because the housekeeping left one can of trash in the house but i called the front office and they quickly came to take it out. I will be back next summer with my family. "

"Dissatisfied customer
It was about 2 in the morning, the fire alarm went off. It scared us, the kids were crying. We called the after hours line and yes maintenance showed up an hour later but we were still inconvenienced. I asked for a discount or compensation of any kind. The toilet paper dispensers in both restrooms were broken. The water spout in the bath tub was loose. Please check room for these things and repair them before the next customer comes in. I will definitely write a review about this."

This particular condo was very nice. However, the sofa sleeper was nasty. It was wet/ and smelled like urine. If you don’t need the sofa sleeper than this place is for you. Also, dryer did not work. Don’t offer or advertise if things can not be used. I would not recommend. "

"Perfect little condo
This was a very nice condo with great proximity to the ocean. I honestly have no complaints. The house was in tip top shape. The A/C worked great. Condo 210 was bigger than we needed with 3 balconies, three bathrooms, and two bedrooms (plus plenty of sleeping space in the living room). It was just me and my wife staying there but it was comparable in price to a small studio and the extra room was just a bonus.
The pool was clean and well kept, the hot tub was beautifully relaxing. Of course the ocean was awesome and we were half a mile from a jetty with excellent fishing and snorkeling. There were thousands of sea turtles you could swim with near the jetty and it was an awesome experience just be careful of the rip currents inside the channel. If you know how to deal with rip currents you'll be just fine (don't panic and swim perpendicular to said current).
Like I said, no complaints from me!"

"Great Eacape
El Constante is our favorite get away! It’s got everything for the whole family to enjoy. We love to watch the sunrise off the beach with our cup of coffee and take pictures. The Jetties are in walking distance as well. The rooms are comfortable and have great views! The booking and staff are awesome! We will be visiting a lot more often!!

We really enjoy El Constante and plan on making it an annual trip! Staff with (Property Management) are always helpful and courteous. We love the easy access to the beach and pool. We stayed in an “ok” condo this past trip. We’ve had better. Updates needed. Bed was small, blinds need to be replaced with better ones and curtains especially for master bedroom where security lights keep the room too bright for good sleep. Appreciate the ”early check in” but found a cheese ball under a chair right as we walked in. Not a big deal, but makes me worry how clean the place really was. "

The location is great. The rental property is as described. The interior decor of this unit is very dated. The entire unit could use a deep cleaning and freshening. Not all burners on stovetop worked and it needed to be cleaned. The provided box fans were dirty. The washer/dryer was convenient. The beds were comfortable enough. Easy to check-in/out and exterior areas were clean."

Have stayed at El Constante for 25+ years. This is the first time our room was hot on the top floor. Had to use fans. The internet Wi-Fi did not work and one lady needed it to do critical work. They kept saying it was fixed but it kept going off."

We had a very nice stay at the El Constante. We have stayed in this condo before so we sort of knew what to expect. We would come back. Front desk was wonderful!! Can’t say that enough! Property was clean! For the condo, no matter what the setting is for the thermostat, it is warm sleeping at night. The sofa bed is probably okay for young kids but not for an adult. It is uncomfortable. I was worried that I would break the handle on the microwave since it isn’t stable. Again, knowing this we would still come back."

"Not our favourite condo
We love the rentals there but this one was not fun! There were pills under two different beds, nail clippings on the carpet and the master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. When we go on vacation we want to be with our children and the rooms need to be safe. Also the parents need to relax with a comfortable bed."

"Great Vacation
We had a great vacation at El Constantine. The staff there couldn’t have been more friendly and hard working. Our only complaint was that although the property was clean it was run down and is need of an update. We had to call service multiple times to repair things. The service people were great and responded right away."

"Power Failures
Multiple power failures and boil water orders, We picked the worst week in history to be in Texas. Management tried but the whole state had become a third world country. Hoping they offer a partial refund since the condo was unlivable without heat, power and drinakable water. Inside temp was down to about 45 when we finally gave up and left. Had not had power for several days, and it appears power was out in the area for at least 5 more days."

"Not for 6-terrible AC
No Elevator-with 6 of us, loads of stuff created multiple trips to unload & load for our stay walking up & down stairs with heavy coolers, bags, fishing equipment etc.
Upstairs bedrooms roasted while downstairs froze as AC is clearly not adequate for space.
Kitchen is not stocked well for cooking or eating-only 4 of flatware & plates-had to purchase paper plates & plastic flatware so we could all eat at the same time. Counter has multiple knife marks as the singular cutting board is tiny. Kitchen could use a refresh.
The place was clean and all sheets/towels were wrapped in plastic so we knew those were fresh. The office did allow us to gather fresh towels each day.
Wasn't terrible, but will not return to this location. "

Not our first time at El Constante, but our first time in #210. Loved that it was just right up the stairs and the only unit that direction. AC vent in living area was closed - reason being, as we discovered, to get some cool air to the upstairs unit. That would be my only complaint."

We enjoyed our few days stay in this property. We love how close it is to the beach! The property is older but the management company is doing a good job in keeping up with it. Overall we enjoy our stay!
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware but there is no seasoning or general things to cook with. It is understandable with the current covid situation. Be sure to bring in your own oil and seasoning, along with shampoos as they only provide bar soap."

We booked in for 5 nights. A/C was not working upstairs so they brought in room units. It was still hot. Found bed bugs that night which is totally unacceptable. On-site management was not helpful and didn't really show concern. We finally got moved to another unit 211 the next day. It was okay and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. Should have been moved the first day when unit 210 was not livable. "

"Great location steps from the beach and side gulf view.
Unit 210 is a great location and is quite comfortable (sofa bed is not super comfy but will do for kids/teens). We would definitely stay here again! The description was accurate and the property was clean. It's not new, by any means, but has been well maintained. We were very satisfied with our stay. A recommendation would be to change the services provided: with the cleaning fee charged, it would seem reasonable that guests could only bag the garbage and not also have to haul it down to the dumpster. This is a small concession that would make the last moments on site a little easier. "

The decor was noted to be more outdated in person than the pictures on the website. There was paper noted under the ceiling fan fixture downstairs. The carpet on the stairs had sand noted on arrival. The property stated they were in the process of updating the outside.

"In need of repair
Our stay was fraught with issues. Blinds were broken, dining chair was broken, door didn’t close right, fan light would not stay on, side of fridge had food spatter on it and I found some old food in one of the cabinets. Also did not hat WiFi for half our stay.
Cabinets were stocked with most things we needed."

"Lovely and Convenient Condo
El Constante has been our go-to condo for North Padre since we were kids. It is still a wonderful place to stay and the perfect location on the beach. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The only issue is that you may need to make sure to wash the dishes and the silverware before using them the first time. The previous renters may not have cleaned them well. But other than that it was great! We are returning next year! "

I stayed 3 months in 210, very comfortable, great view, wonderful warm pool for the winter months. The staff and workers from (Property Management) were very helpful and professional. There were a few minor maintenance issues ( loose deck rail, stove burner not working and slow internet) all problems ,except internet were promptly repaired. They are resolving the Internet problem with new equipment and it should be much better when that is finished. Hope to come again next year. "

"Not worth the money
We've been coming to El Constante for years. The staff always went above and beyond making the almost $300/night for a two bedroom well worth it. The beach was private and cleaned of seaweed and they rented boogie boards and other water toys on the beach. One time we checked in around 9 or 10 pm, and my friend was pregnant and the bed was way too hard for her. They not only moved us to a different room around 11pm, they physically helped us move. Now, with this brand new management, they are only there until 7pm and not a moment later. The power went out on the entire island. Not their fault obviously, but when it came back on only one of the three buildings had power. Luckily it was our building that had power. But our neighbor who did not have power called the emergency line and the lady hung up on her when she tried to explain that the power was back on for everyone else. Hardly anyone was staying at El Constante. They should have moved them to the building with power immediately because it was so hot that a heat advisory had been issued. Also, the beach is now public and full of trucks and trash. Also, our DVD player did not work, though they replaced it the last day. The ladies at the front desk were very kind. But it irritates us that we pay the same amount of money for less service and a ****** beach. If it was $200 per night, it would be worth the service and the public beach. We may as well pay for two rooms at the Holiday Inn and get daily cleaning service. "

Rooms have always been comfortable and clean. Kitchen is decently equipped. Only one discomfort of having to run box fans to cool upstairs. But nothing intolerable. Staff is courteous. Pool is sweet!"
