"Nice for the Price
Overall convenient location. This particular unit is a bit dated and could use new kitchen supplies such as pots, pans and a coffee pot. The current selection is limited and has seen better days. :( TV is living room is a bit small if trying to have family movie night... having an couple extra blankets would also be nice - bedding is very thin and light and after a day of sun and ac a blanket while watching tv is soothing
PS - the entry code is 7 digits long which seemed a bit much and hard to remember "

"Not the best stay
I was there 5 nights and 2 nights I was unable to sleep due to extreme noise in the pool area. The first was at 2 am and was resolved within an hour of my call to management. The 2nd time was far worse and I had to call 3 times. The pool gate needs a lock and onsite management or security "

"Not good
We stayed during the Easter Holiday weekend, 3 day weekend and were met with fleas. Even though management was open and it was Saturday- they could not do anything to help relieve the situation except let us know they will get an exterminator out on Monday. My nephew, husband and granddaughter were bit. They ended up staying with another relative. It was a horrible experience. "

"Friends &family vacation
We had a great time. Weather was amazing. Our only issue was my showers were Luke warm at best. The dishwasher door would not lock, so we ha d washed everything. The left front burner on stove did not heat. Pillows could stand to be replaced. Other than that it was great."

Annual beach weekend with friends, and although it called for rain all weekend, we still had an amazing time and enjoyed the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. Always friendly staff and very accommodating. My go to place!! "

"Just okay room
The room was okay, the dead fish smell from the kitchen was bad when we first walked in got used to it as day went on. The shower in the main room was TERRIBLE! You could hardly wash your hands from the trickle of water coming from that shower head and expect us to shower our whole body? Everyone used the other shower. Not happy. Coming to El Constante since the 90's first bad room. First & last time rending this room."

"Worst stay I've ever had here
I've stayed here many times, this was the worst experience I've had. Both beds in the two bedroom unit were broken, soon as you say on them you were in the floor, looked under the bedframe and the they had the beds propped up with a single 2X4 block. The toilets would have to be plunged after every use, including "Fast uses". The experience was so bad, we left a day early just so we could get some sleep. Never again, stay away from 234"

"Surprise vacation
Upon arriving, our surprise was that the unit had a terrible smell in it. We opened the patio door for some air, and it improved. Soon we figured out that the smell was coming the furniture in the LR and from the kitchen sink that was plugged so tight if you ran water in it both sides of the sink filled up. If you ran the disposal, black stuff flew all over. Two of the three bathroom sinks were very slow running. You could only open the microwave door about a third of the way because it hit the wall. Burners on the range were not hooked in, and we never tried to use it , the tub in the main bathroom upstairs was black and worn so badly we went and bought mats to put in the tubs because we wouldn’t stand in a tub that was that terrible looking at all the knobs on the bathroom, sinks and tubs were plastic see-through, and they were all filled with black mold . One of the three legs on the triangle coffee table in the living room was broken. We decided we would only be there four days and we would spend most of our time out of the unit and eat our meals out. And that is basically what we did. I was very disappointed And felt I had wasted the money I spent to come here. The beach there is beautiful. The pool in the community is beautiful. My husband and I had stayed in a different unit back in 2021 and it was very clean. I was so very disappointed , I don’t believe I will go back. "

"Nice place at a decent price!
It's a slightly older place (1980s?) but it's in pretty good condition. Some condos could use updating. Right on the beach, but you need a car to get to stores. Friendly, helpful staff. We plan to visit again. "

"Nice place with great beach access
Our unit was clean and sell stocked with a mish-mash of old dishes and cookware. The beds were comfortable and the TV/internet was fine. We had a poolside view and enjoyed some time on the balcony. We never spoke to or even saw any property managers but didn't need to. The automated system of communications was very good. We'll be back, but next time will shoot for a beach view."

"Beach Vacation

Condo was nice. Grounds well maintained. Excellent beach. My only complaint is the outrageous cost for my 2 small dogs. Would rent this condo again. Miss the old was of more personable service. Everything now done online/text. Oh couldn't get grills to work which was a bummer for me. Was going to be first burger in 10 mo's. Great stay."

"Weekend in August
We came to drop off our son at college and spent the weekend at this great location. We can walk to the beach and they're also pet friendly. This is our second time here and we will definitely be back."

"A perfect beach get away with your pup!
It’s the perfect little beach condo to bring your pets!
Pool side is amazing (get towels from the office) The pull out bed was comfortable. The beds upstairs need to be looked at. The legs are cracked, we had to fix the bed while we were there. The mattress is fine though.
The kitchen utensils are completely random but I had everything I needed. Could use a new set of cups even plastic would work.
The AC worked great and all the ceiling fans were nice. It could use a deep cleaning and replacement shower curtain! Luckily you aren’t there to spend a lot of time in the condo!
North Padre Golf Cart rentals are the BEST!
One thing I love about this property is the gas bbq area, hoses to clean up from the beach and to clean the golf cart.

The condo was filthy, the tub was filthy mold & stained, it was filthy, the pillows were stained yellow, their was a filthy mop & broom left in the kitchen between the stove & refrigerator that was full of Hair. The back porch door was not able to lock. Very disappointed with that condo. "

"Won’t rent this condo.
We stayed there Fri- Sun. Nice location, but very loud, because of pool parties till 2am both nights. Not the best option when you stay with the little kids. Overall the place was clean, except balconies glass doors. They were so dirty that you barely can see through! Master bedroom bed was very squeaky, every time you turn the sound wakes you up and bad uncomfortable mattress. I’m sure there are nicer condos at this complex with the owners that actually care if their guests feel comfortable and want to come back. Not this one."

"Escape to Padre
Had a wonderful 7 day vacay! This is our 2nd yearly visit to El Constante. Beautiful scenery, rooms and on the beach access. The pool and spa are great! Short drive to Laguna Madre or Port Aransas as well. We will be coming here for years to come! "

This is the worst place We have ever stayed at. It was dirty. The furniture is worn, frayed, stained and should have been replaced years ago. The chairs in the balcony should be thrown away. Never again."

"Will not stay in this unit again.
This is our third stay at this condominium. This is a unit we will not stay in again. The furniture did not seem clean. We brought in our own chairs to sit on while on the balcony because the chairs for the unit were so bad. Appliances very dated. Items in the kitchen were not good. Even the knives had rust on them."

"Usually great, not so much this time
We stay at El Constante every year and this is the 1st terrible experience we have ever had...Microwave broken, nasty stains/mold in all kitchen drawers, cracked, uneven and outdated tile everywhere, toilet overflowed and they could not send housekeeping, after maintenance, in a timely fashion so we bought cleaner and cleaned ourselves, most of the pillows were stained, the said there was no washer and dryer in the unit even though you could clearly see it behind a locked door, oh and there was old gum on one of the bedroom floors upon arrival...I have NEVER complained about El Constante or padre Escapes before but all this happened on different days and all the were willing to do was to give me $200 (basically my pet deposit back) after the pillow, gum, and microwave incidents, but I paid as much (plus dog deposit) as every other stay I have ever had and this was the worst experience I have ever had there. In fact the only bad experience we have ever had there. "

Unit 234 was very out dated, The restroom in the common area did not have a locking door knob which was a problem when we had six people staying there. The restroom in the main suite upstairs had a broken door knob that caused guest to stay locked in the restroom for over an hour. The sinks were all very slow draining indicating major clogs. The refrigerator had a leak inside which wet all the groceries in the fridge. After submitting a complaint I’m still waiting for management to reply to my complaint and it is three days later and no Response yet. Although the location is Ideal it was lacking in accommodation. "

"Padre getaway
It was nice. Our condo didn't have a broom or mop and if staying several days on the beach you know sand will come in with you. so we had to go buy one. I was scared to use the extra blankets and pillows because they looked just thrown in closets. And outside chairs were broken. Blinds were missing slats so outside pool lights would come in at night. "

the 2 couches were very dirty, I cleaned them as bet I could.
the dishwasher was good , the other winter Texans were very nice again the staff at padre escapes was very understanding and excellent all the time
this unit needs a good gleaning and some fixing up

the couches were dirty. even after I tried to vacuum and clean them; the washer did not work, but I used the laundry room t was great
the hot tub was full of kids and noisy we left early do to a family emergencey no refund was
offered, to bad not much else it is a well located place and the beach is always good
again the ladies at the desk tried and were so kind we appreciate them,but we will not be back.

"Review of Stay at El Constante in Sept/Oct
We have stayed at El Constante for about 25 years. The staff and location are the main reasons we keep going back. Savannah McGrath is an awesome manager and she and her staff are always friendly and helpful. As a former hotel general manager in Dallas I know that the staff reflects the managements attitude so that says a great deal for Savannah. The room we ended up with because of the renovations did not have an unmatched view, just a view of the pool and the opposite condos. I understood that our room was being changed some months back so it wasn't a surprise. However, being on the pool was noisy and people on the weekends would stay well past the closing time of 10:30PM. Usually until midnight or later. Also, because of renovation the water was cut of for several hours 5 different days. Other than those 2 disappointments that were unavoidable by the staff, the stay was wonderful as always. Will be back. "

"Could had been better
This is my second time staying at El Constante, first time was last year in a different room it was a 3/5 experience, but this time it really made me realize this will be my last time. The fact it was a pet friendly condo doesn't mean its okay to be dirty, since we as customers are paying extra fees because of that and because we care enough to pay so our pets can come with us it should have higher standards to avoid plagues,etc. Carpet was disgusting full of stains and sand/dirt from previous visitors. I don't know who is in charge of the cleaning ladies but whoever it is needs to pay attention before letting customers get into condo. Furniture was soooo old, dirty, full of stains, it makes me wonder where does the money goes since it seems it hasn't been replaced in the last 2 decades. Condo had an old people smell I had to buy some air fresheners. I dont remember my last stay being so bad, but this time was awful. Good thing I only spent mornings and nights. The only positive thing is still the location, the pool and grill area, other than that its not worth it."

"Greatly Dissapointed! - Outdated & Lack of Owner TLC
Our family has stayed in other El Constante units over the past 5 years and Unit #234 was a HUGE let down. We would have immediately switched to another unit if available. The tile grout downstairs is mucked, kitchen tile counter top is missing pieces, kitchen cabinets are visibly worn, bathroom vents are poor, water damaged ceiling in dining area, missing paint on walls, large caulk gaps in bathrooms, broken moulding around front door, damaged bottom seal on sliding glass door just to name a few. Home maintenance and upgrades are greatly needed in unit #234 and we were happy to return to our 24 year old home in Schertz, TX has experienced over 200,000 hours of pets and children. Unit #234 has great potential but we've marked it off our future vacation list. "

"Month in Padre Island
Had a great time, location was superb, heated pool and hot tub made the colder than usual days very enjoyable. Being right on the beach was fabulous. Our unit was dated but clean and had most we needed and we enjoyed. Some repairs were needed and staff attended to them right away with a smile. Only issue was that this unit lacked some basic things that we had to buy and management said they'll see if they could reimburse us which they never did up to now. Still hoping. Being a month stay, an extra $ 70 or so didn't hurt but it should have been stocked better with basics like potholders, hairdryer, not enough glasses, dish drainer etc... were not provided. Unit should have been checked better for the basics. But overall, for the price, I'd rate it fabulous. People seem to come back year after year and we met a lot of the regulars who were all very friendly and fun. Nice cozy place. If we come this way again, we'd stay again and try to find a more modern unit but if not, we'd take this one again. Had a great month. "

"NO CHOICE BUT TO TOLERATE
IT WAS A GOOD STAY EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT WE HAD A ROOM FOR SLEEPING 6. THE 2 BEDROOMS UPSTAIRS WERE ACCEPTABLE. THE DOWNSTAIRS SOFA SLEEPER WAS A JOKE. THE MATTRESS HAD TO BE PUT ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE THE SOFA DIDN'T HAVE ANY SPRINGS TO HOLD THE BED UP. WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH LINENS FOR THE 6 AND WHEN I WENT TO ASK FOR BLANKETS AND LINENS THEY WANTED TO COME UP AND SEE FOR THEMSELVES THAT I WASN'T LYING. THAT'S WHAT PISSED ME OFF. WE DIDN'T PAY $1000 TO BE QUESTIONED ABOUT A FREAKING BLANKET, TOWEL, OR SHEET. MASTER TOILET WAS CLOGGED AND THEY NEVER SENT UP A PLUMBER."

"Disappointing stay at EL Constante.
We stayed for 2 nights during a weekday and spent $624. The cost is over priced considering the following: Master bathroom toilet leaked and had puddles of water on dining table downstairs, no additional pillow cases in closet where we slept on pillow cases without cover (gross)! Master bed "sinks in" when you sleep and squeaks, and I came home with bed bugs on my rights side of my body. If y'all are charging this much $$, then your service, product and amenities should with higher standards. "
