"Good times
The place was clean and organized. Could see the beach and the pool. Any time I called with a question the staff had all the answers and were very nice. The bathroom door knob didn't turn but would open and close properly. We never got locked in or out. Thats the only issue. Would rent this room again. "

"You expect me to clean but are charging me an $89 cleaning fee?
It’s a great place right on the water which we LOVE. However, the rules ask us to start the cleaning process upon departure when you are asking us for an $89 cleaning fee. AND more than the hotel charges per night. Kind of ridiculous-don’t you think? Btw, we always leave the place pristine, so the $89 charge for the probable 45 minutes that your cleaning person is inside- is highway robbery. "

"July's get away
The rentals location was close to the beach.Fully enjoyed the time there. One suggestion would be to have extra pillows and sheets for the pull out sofa bed. Other than that the rental was perfect for our stay."

"Great location on a budget
The location and the price sells this unit.
I always appreciate the clean bed promise.
There were only a couple of things that could be improved and would be an easy fix. One is dust the top of the fridge. This unit is cute, but it comes with very little space for panty items, etc. The top of the fridge would have been a good place for extra items, but it was very dusty. The other issue I ran into was this particular unit did not have a broom. I think it’s essential to have one in each unit considering amount of sand that one could bring into it. Otherwise, overall experience was great!"

"Eclipse stay 2024
I always rent from El Constantine I’ve tried 7 different condos. Condo 113 was very clean and comfortable. The AC was a bit noisy and the bedroom was so bright at night, with a outdoor lamppost right outside the window, made it hard to sleep, maybe if there were black out curtains instead of sheers it would have been a better night. Otherwise everything was very nice and comfortable. "

"Great place to stay!
The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept it! We slept later than we ever have the first night! The second night the upstairs neighbors moved in with a kid that was having a track meet in the morning and the parents were stomping around. I guess it’s a trade off between having noisy neighbors on your ceiling or hauling you stuff up the stairs. The unit was very convenient. It is a little dated with the fixtures and bathroom but the furniture is new. If it were my place I would spend the $20 to get a new toilet seat since the one has two chips in it. My only complaint was I wished the parking spaces were numbered. If we are allowed 2 spaces, why was at least 1 in front of our unit not available? We would stay there again. "

"Mini vaca
The condo was clean and a walk away from the beach. I wouldn't mind staying again but on a slow day. The kids above us kept stomping around, the parking was not assigned parking so we would have a hard time finding parking. Golf carts were not parked in designated area and would take some of the parking. It would have been great if they were to assign the parking spaces there on a busy holiday. Other than that, I did like the place. "

"1st Corpus trip
This was our first time in Corpus C. and this was TRULY a beachfront property. The room was more spacious than seen in the photos. The kitchen was equipped with all of the necessities for cooking. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the room was quite spacious. The only thing I would add, is a drain stopper for the bathtub. It was such a short walk to the beach which was great since we had 2 little ones. Conveniently close to the pool and the kids loved it! One thing we look for at a beach vacation is convivence and this property provided just that! The staff was friendly and all of the guests we met were great. The access road is right next to the parking lot making it super easy to load our stuff up and drive it to the beach. We loved our stay so much we booked a 2nd trip back for September. Highly recommend this property, we hope to bring more friends and family here! "

"Cinco de Mayo vacay
Absolutely wonderful. We could hear every step of the person walking upstairs which got a little irritating. I would put a darker curtain on the bedroom window to cover up the lights from outside. I like it really dark in the bedroom. But overall the location to the beach literally right out the front door. The room was nice and clean. You didn’t have to bring anything for the kitchen. It had all kinds of pots and pans, utensils, cups. Would definitely stay here again. Just show up and have fun."

"No lamps or nightstands
The morning before I arrived, almost all the furniture was replaced so it no longer looks like the photo on the website ( with tan sofa and two chairs in living room). This wouldn't have been a problem except they removed the end tables, nightstand, and all the lamps and didn’t replace them. When I complained, they brought a couple of extra end tables from the office but didn't have any extra lamps, so I went and spent $40 on a couple of lamps from the dollar store. (I took them home with me so the next guest will have to bring their own). There was a small plastic drawer storage unit in the pantry that I was able to use as a nightstand. It was really annoying that the unit was not fully furnished. At least the new bed and sofa and loveseat were comfortable and the unit was clean and functional.
The dining tables and stools are the same, they did not get replaced.
I also think there should be heavier curtains for the bedroom window, the thin white ones do not do a great job of blocking the light from the security lamp outside the window at night, even with the blinds closed. I draped extra beach towels over the curtain rods so it would be dark enough for me to sleep.
The TVs are ok, they have cable plus you can log into the apps for YouTube and Netflix if you have an account. But the TV in the unit next door where my parents stayed offered lots more apps including Amazon Prime and Hulu. This unit is fine if you just care about the basics and having the main furniture to sit and sleep and being close to the beach. I would personally choose a different unit next time."

"Wonderful Place
We stay at El Constante every year and never been disappointed. This was our first time staying in a 1 bedroom and we loved it! The room was super comfortable, easy first floor entrance to our room, no stairs to climb with our bags, convenient parking right in front of our room. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes, plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The sofa couch was comfy, the bed in the bedroom was comfy. The room was clean, cold AC and had everything we needed. Easy check in and check out. Very short walk from our front door to the beach. Overall, very happy with our stay. We will be back next year! "

"Unit 113 - El Constante
We stayed in unit 113 and it was not as nice as other units. Verys small bed and the couch sunk in really bad when you sat down. Very Uncomfortable. We also found silverfish in the utensil drawer.
The staff is always awesome and very helpful!! I would not recommend this particular unit."

It was great! The beach was outside our front door. We didn't have to use our vehicles. We walked on the beach at night and had everything we needed a few steps away. "Girl's trip.
I thought the rental experience was wonderful. Had stayed at El Constante several times previously. Staff and access to condo was excellant. The unit appeared clean. As we are retired nurses we are aware of areas of concern. Noticed that air vents were covered in large layer of dust as were the fan in bedroom. One cabinet in kitchen was not secure and uneven near the stove. Overall it was a good experience. We loved the location to the shore."

Hospitality from front desk and the offices at Padre Escape have always treated me with kindness. To be able to keep my father's annual beach tradition for so long and at the same property have been a blessing. The new paint and the updated floodlights have definitely made a difference! Really like the property overall location is great however the unit had some minor issues such as the refrigerator leaking water and dirty dishes being put back in the cupboard , TV in master never worked. We didn't report the items until we checked out as we understand that there is a shortage of help and some things get overlooked. We would come back maybe different unit. "

Nice and close to beach. Heated pool and hot tub a big plus. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful. The curtains in the bedroom let in a lot of light from security lights outside, had to put towels over the window to get some sleep. My boys said the sofa sleeper mattress was very thin and the bed was uncomfortable. The sink in the bathroom took forever to drain. You have to hold down the handle on the toilet for a long time to get it to flush. Never received a text letting me know that my room was ready."

The condo was lovely and the pool was perfect and the beach was right there. But, if you are unlucky, your upstairs neighbors will come home at 2 am and march through the place at top volume. Daytimes were wonderful."

"A trip to remember
Didn’t like not being told that we weren’t gonna have any water for hours.
When I called to complain, I was told I should have received a message. Shoettly after that call I got the message.
We had to cancel our plans for that day because of it. I was expecting something more than an apology; perhaps compensation for one day. Having a family of 5 makes hard for us to do anything without water.
Didn’t like the workers remodeling the blue building peeking inside our door and window everyone they would walk by. Creepy to say the least.
Parkin was also an issue due to the same construction crew blocking off an entire section. Don’t be handicapped stuck having to go down the stairs and going around... made for a challenge but not impossible.
Other stays have been 5 stars all the way. Perhaps they have a change in management or maybe they were just off a bit. "

"Bit of a disappointment this time
I have vacationed at El Constante once to twice a year since 2011. This was the first time I was not fully satisfied with my stay. I booked unit 103 on the front of the condo. I really like to stay in the front units only. There was a booking mistake, and we were moved to unit 113 on the side. That was a big let down. I have a 3 year old, and he couldn't sit at the bar height bar stool kitchen table, so he had to eat every meal on the floor. Our garbage disposal was broken, and in the middle of the night began wafting an overwhelming smell of rotting food and stagnant water back into the condo, so it had obviously been that way for a while. I called the after hours emergency number, and I was told no one would be able to come fix it until morning, so I had to fix it myself, as no one was able to sleep with the horrible stench. Thankfully, I had recently remodeled my kitchen, so I was familiar with garbage disposals. The hot tub was not heated. The lady at the front desk was very nice and apologetic, and I felt bad ranting to her about all of my issues. I figured one bad stay in almost a decade of vacationing here is hopefully a fluke. We will give it another shot in September and hope for a better outcome. "

Absolutely, fell in love with this unit, and if I could afford to buy this beautiful unit...I would!!!!!
Everything you need at your finger tips including beach accessibility. If your walking up from the beach there's even a faucet for you to rinse off your feet. We took our bikes and instead of riding on the beach, we rode of the sea wall/boardwalk all the way to the end.
The staff is courteous and on the ball. When we checked in we were offered beach towels at no expense (just turn them in before check-out).
I can hardly wait to go back!!!

The unit was fair, the furniture lacking. The table and chairs were not adequate for any company...the chairs very uncomfortable. The colds winds came through the windows even with the blinds closed and the drapes drawn.
Once we adjusted to the lack of storage space it did work. The closet in the bedroom was nice and big but I couldn't put anything on the shelves because they were filled with other things. "
