"El Constante
This was my 2nd vacation at El Constance and it will not be my last. My family came here to celebrate birthdays and a good time was had by all. I rent 3 condos and they were clean and well stocked. One of the condos had a couple of problems but they were addressed by management promptly. The pool and hot tub were clean and the oceanfront views are the best! Can’t wait to come back"

"Clean but does need updating
The room we stayed in was nice. It was clean but the room could use some updating/ repainting overall. There's rust on the front side of the refrigerator, rust in the freezer on the shelf, the vents could be repainted as they look super old and the paint is chipped. All the kitchen knives are dull, one of the pans is missing half a handle.
However, its in a perfect location to the beach and pool. We did enjoy ourselves. "

It was my first time traveling and staying by myself. I felt very safe during my stay. They provide security walking around. I really appreciate that. I stayed in room 111. It was very clean and well supplied. "

"It was just OK this time.
Would def not stay in the bottom one bedroom again. Man upstairs had heavy foot fall and stomped around all morning up until the middle of the night. Def lost sleep over this. Ran out of toilet paper late one night and did not have an extra roll considering I had 4 people in my unit. Normally don’t mind the loudness but wanted a quiet vacation and had extremely loud people and blaring music at the pool. Love the property though."

"Short stay on the beach
The location could not be beat. A very short walk to a pristine beach. The condo was so so. Although, basically clean, the furniture was in dire need of updating. The most offensive lack of cleaning, however, was in the vents and ceiling fan. Gross. The vent on floor level in the living room looked like blood had been spattered in it. This spattered look carried over to the refrigerator. I might recommend this accommodation because of the cost and location after I had thoroughly explained the concerns listed above. "

First I booked this unit by mistake thinking bed was king bed since the other units there were king size. But mistake was mine for not looking at the details on booking. But the unit itself was old looking and smelled of mold maybe due to old carpet or dark spots on ceiling. But location is perfect cause beach is amazing "

"Horrible condo, (Property Management) Staff worse.
Broken, worn furniture, small hard bed, rug bubbling up and filthy, ice maker not working, vacuum worthless. Pantry locked so we had to store our food all over the kitchen.The (Property Management) Staff knew the condo was in poor condition and did nothing to move us to a decent condo. Clearly, they are only concerned with the condo owners and Not the renters."

"Weekend Stay
The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. It was very hard and I couldn't sleep on it the second night. I wind up sleeping upright in the brown chair, what little sleep I did get. The cushions on the sleeper sofa are very worn out and you sink down into it and it was very uncomfortable as well. The carpet was stained as well. I was not happy with this rental as I was with the one I rented in July."

This place is nice. I've been staying here for here. My only complaint is some updates need to happen. There was some rust around the vents. But, other than that, I had a great time. No loud neighbors and the location to the beach is great."

"LOVE El Constante!
Over the last 25 years, we've stayed at El Constante probably 8 times (with big gaps in between vacations to CC). It's been 12 years since our last (my kids were 15 and 10 then) and I couldn't wait to bring them, and my 2yo grandson, back for fourth of July to stay RIGHT on the beach. We all had THE. BEST.TIME. The condo itself is nice and provides everything you might need (except salt/pepper/oil/etc). The pool is nice, the laundromat was clean and the lady at the office was absolutely SO SWEET! We didn't get her name but she answered all our questions, offered suggestions, provided info, and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job, as did the 2 phone reps i spoke with. We can't wait to come back!

"Very pleasant
The one bedroom/bathroom condo was perfect for a mother/daughter/granddaughter trip. We stayed in 111 and it was close to beach and pool area and our neighbors were quiet. We did come during the week. We’re definitely going to be coming back here. The only thing I’ll warn mothers with little ones don’t bring big wagons to put your stuff in just drive onto the beach, because the steps getting down to the beach are super steep. It’s not easy getting your things and kids up and down those stairs. "

We didn't have hotel reservations & it was getting dark when we ended up at the dead end road of El Constante 111. Im so glad we did, our stay was wonderful. Short walk to the beach and staff real nice."

"Unit needs some upgrades
Overall a pleasant experience. The unit needs some upgrades. Just a bunch of small things that add up to be a headache.
Mattress is springy and uncomfortable. Scuffs all over the walls make it look dingy. Only 4 plates but tons of bowls. Trashcan with no lid, so you smell what you threw away. Outlets in bedroom are in inconvenient places. $200 spent at Walmart would fix the place right up. Gallon of paint, new trashcan, some power strips and a couple of sets of plastic dishes would be helpful.
The location is great. Next time I will book a new unit. "

"Texas Beach Fun
Unit 111 was perfect for our stay. It is comfortable, not brand new, but it is clean and has everything you need to cook and relax. The beach is directly on the back of the condo. Sitting out front drinking coffee each morning to the sound of the crashing waves was the best. It was not accessible but we didn't request. Pool is nice. Quiet at night, lots of folks and kids during the day. You can drive directly on the beach and they have excellent mobile water wheelchairs."

"Location was amazing, room was ok
I have stayed at El Constante before and loved the room we had so I knew I wanted to come back. Unit 111 we was subpar. Although I knew the room was clean it felt dirty because of the overall condition. Unit 111 had a rusty refrigerator, uncomfortable sofa sleeper, gross carpet, damage to ceiling in the bedroom, terrible chairs on the patio, and the bathroom was gross. Although this particular unit didn’t meet my expectations , my family and I will be returning in July but in a different unit."

"It's alright
The condo was alright. Needs updates. Appliances are rusty, mold spots near tub and I had to wash the dishes/utensils before using. Don't think anyone checks those. Bed was very uncomfortable."

"Fun, relaxing, beach
The unit is basically right on the beach. It has everything you need in the kitchen to make a meal. The saltwater pool was amazing and heated. It is shaded from the afternoon sun. The only bad thing I can say is there are cheap plastic chairs on the front porch instead of comfy chairs like other units. The staff was friendly and helpful and always smiling. Beautiful place to vacation."

"Noisy rooms, dirty beach and BRING YOUR EAR PLUGS!
We have stayed here several times and loved it! This last time was completely different. The condo itself was lovely. Just noisy as can be! Im not sure why it was so loud the entire time! We had to get ear plugs TO SLEEP! Plus, the beach was soo stinky that we had to go miles down the beach to get cleaner sand for my grandbabies to swim in. The beach wasnt dragged like normal and too stinky for anyone to want to hang too long at the beach
Pool was full and we had to get out at 10pm. Upstairs was so loud with each check in. We were there 10 days and I highly doubt we will be back after renting 3 units. Very disappointed."

Management was great. Unit we stayed in was nicely furnished and clean but there was mold in the bathroom.

"Best vacation!
My name is kathy. My first experience with padre escape was an overnight stay and I was completely hooked. The cleanliness of the facility and friendly staff had me coming back with family in tow. I brought my grown children and grand children for a 2 night stay and rented 2 condo side by side. We had a fantastic time at the beach and made great memories for the entire family. I love the set up of the condos with all the perks of home but on the beach! Also their pool was available and this was so much fun. I will definitely recommend padre escape to anyone visiting and will definitely be coming back. Thank you padre escape!"

"Weekend Break
We had a good rental experience. The place was clean, property also, security guard at night. Location is the best with only one side with hotel and the other with nothing. Pool was clean and beautiful. Check in was convenient and price was excellent.
Pillows for bed were very thin, mattress in living room was ok, mattress in bedroom was full size but listing says queen. If you need extra toilet paper, bring your own. Light on pool stays on with only blinds and no curtains to block the light all night from bedroom. "

I have stayed at these condos many times and understand the insides are usually dated but the location makes up for it. The unit we stayed in was by far the worst furnished and least stocked of all. Kitchen didn't even have Salt/Pepper, no matching plates ect. TV's are tiny and bed was awful. "

1st floor condo. Direct access to beach. Slight ocean view from the little patio. One. bedroom one bathroom with a sleeper sofa and full kitchen. TVs in living room and bedroom. Direct access to the beach. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool area. Easy access to lots of restaurants and stores. Easy drives to Corpus, Port A, and Rockport.
Would definitely stay here again!"

"Too much air
The condo was comfortable with the exception that the air conditioner would not shut off. Constant air. Either too cold or to hot. Also expected to find hair dryer which there was not. So not a good combo freezing air and wet hair. Frying pans could be replaced. But loved furniture very comfortable and cozy. Would suggest for this condos and others is to install some hooks. A lot of thinks to hang up after the beach. "
