"Wonderful Stay!
We were there to celebrate some birthdays and El Constante did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time despite the sofa bed being broken (even after maintenance came to "fix" it and the bathtub did not drain well. The sofa was old and had stains on it and it was very uncomfortable to sit on. The bed also felt old and lumpy. We still had a wonderful time and will be back. We just won't book 109 again."

"El Constante Unit 109
The unit was nice and comfortable. We had a pretty decent view of the beach even though we were on the dunes’ side. We sat on the patio enjoying the ocean breeze and watching the waves roll in. Everyone there was friendly. Management company was great and responded to my inquiries timely. "

"Best Location, Great Property!
I've wanted to stay at this property for a while and it did not disappoint! The unit itself was sparkling clean and well equipped. We were a first floor unit and being able to park right in front of our room was really helpful. We were right around the corner from the amazing pool area, which we loved. This pool/hot tub were immaculately kept, there were always chairs available, and the fun shape allowed a lot of folks to be in the pool at the same time without it feeling crowded. And of course, right out the door is the beach! So nice to not have to drive to the beach; so handy for a quick walk on the beach; so handy to roll your wagon to beach to set up!
While we did have an issue with the keypad on our door, I had a very quick response with (Property Management) having staff onsite. Every onsite staff member that we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay and will come back!"

"No power weekend
It was good. I had some issues independent from the rental, but wish you could had helped in some way. We didn’t have power in Saturday. I had bought food to prepare but couldn’t. It got spoiled. I had to buy food for the whole day. If you could had offered anything showing your care for the people renting would have make a difference even an extra hour to check out... 10% discount next rental... even 5% something significant that shows you care... "

"Padre review
We had a great stay! We loved the proximity to the beach, the seawall, and the planned activities provided. Our only complaint was that the bed was very uncomfortable. We had to buy a mattress topper."

"Weekend getaway
The overall all stay was nice. The property was nice and well kept. The only complaint I have that the mattress was too firm. I know that there is a preferences on the mattress but this was rock hard and I did unfortunately not get the best sleep during my stay. "

"Worst Experience
Have stayed here 4 years now. But this last stay the week of 9/9/24 was the worst. We had on and off again wifi connection. Which means no TV reception. But the worst of the stay was the condition of the pool and hot tub. The pool was not heated and it was in awful condition. All kind of insects and filthy water conditions. So bad it was a health hazard, so for three days of our stay the pool and also the hot tub which was also so filthy could not be enjoyed. The last day of our stay I was able to speak with the pool attendant and found out he was off the past two far as advertising a heated pool forget that was very cold and we have stayed there before and it has never been that cold.Front desk personal were useless as far as helping resolve these matters.I feel I should be Compensated for this bad experience since I payed a good chunk of money for the stay."

"Beautiful Property & Location
This was a Beautiful Property and a Wonderful Location. The Staff was just Awesome and very Professional, Courteous and Helpful. The Condo itself was Clean and Well Organized. Our only Issue we had from our Trip was With the Excessive Noise from the People who were Staying
in the Condo Directly above us. Despite Repeated Requests by Management for the Occupants to be Respectful of Others who were Trying to Rest and Enjoy their Vacation, the People Persisted in their Rude, Loud Stomping and Running above our Heads. We had to leave to Come Home and Sleep in Peace. So again, Beautiful Place, Location and Facilities..... But Beware of Rude Neighbors with No Respect for Others."

"LOVE THE BEACH
EVERYONE IN OFFICE WAS VERY NICE.THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS NEEDS A NEW CAN OPENER,THE ONE WAS OLD DIRTY .MATTRESS IN BEDROOM NEEDS UPGRADING TO GO WITH THE BEAUTIFUL UPGRADE UNIT .# 109 has a nice view .You could see a little bit of the beach .I would stay there again ."

"Our El Constante stay
First time staying there. We were impressed with the unit itself as it was recently renovated. We enjoyed the pool. However, we were kept up because of the noise from the pool area after it was supposed to be closed at 10:30 pm. Our unit was on the first floor, you can see the pool from windows, there are lounge chairs right outside the unit. We were annoyed and couldn’t sleep until 1:30 in the morning from people sitting outside talking. They were also teens swimming until midnight. No one from the property there on site to enforce the rules. We called the property and left a message. I did not call the emergency number because I didn’t think this was an emergency, didn’t think this was a police situation. When we checked out, I gave them my feedback and confirmed no one from the property is there to enforce the pool hours. I thought I should at least get one nights rental fee refunded but the front desk lady said she could not approve that. She said she would let HOA manager know. I told her we would not be returning. "

As always, enjoyed my trip down to the coast. The property was nice and staff are friendly.
One suggestion for the owner of #109, you need a new mattress. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, could feel the springs - felt like a couch bed.

"The perfect location very close to beach and pool
Overall had a great experience with the exception of the people above us moving furniture/running till 2 -4a.m. both nights. But that's not the properties fault. For the 4 of us it was perfect! There was a dog together in the chair not sure how long thats been there. But this is probably the 4th time I've stayed at El Constante and each time has been in a different room. I absolutely enjoy my stay every time and every time the staff has been the best!!"

"The beach is my happy place!
Mostly the stay was good. We just happened to be there during the cold bad weather Texas had in February. No electric, condo is all electric, and no water for a couple of days. They had a water line break after the storm. We spent one night sleeping in our car on the beach for warmth. Now that I have the bad out of the way here comes the good. Condo was clean and comfortable. The bed was good and we were very close to a great beach. Things could have been way worse. Many people in Texas had it way worse than us during the storm."

"Great Location, but Elephants upstairs....
Overall condo was updated and nice. No washer and dryer in unit. Although the property had one onsite the washer's were broken most of the week.
Pls be aware your on the 1st floor of a wooden structure condo. At times it felt like there was a herd of elephants running around above us. Luckily we were out most of the day and they went to bed fairly early. "

"Perfect escape with this Gem and its ocean view
From booking to checking out this place was amazing. The staff was so helpful and the rooms were updated and clean that I will most definitely visit again. Emily at the front desk went above and beyond and helped me out when I explained that I was getting the condo for my husbands birthday. She went to the store and got balloons and a cake so when he showed up, it was all set up. She did a excellent job of making sure our stay was memorable. Everyone was so pleasant, and the view of the ocean right outside our room was so peaceful I didn't want to leave. Thank you Emily and everyone here, I can't wait to visit again. "

The unit we stayed in was very outdated and we could never connect to the WiFi. The fixtures in the bathtub had mold inside the knobs . Location to the beach was great and we enjoyed the pool . The unit needs a makeover . "

"Disappointed
We were expecting a wonderful experience but it wasn't. The air conditioning to the bedroom wasn't working was told the air guy said to close off other vents or partially close them. DIDN'T WORK!!!!! THE FLOOR was not clean. Five minutes after we arrived we all had filthy feet.the stove burners were not all working either. When the maintenance man called to come look we were at the pool and we were so fed up by then I told him to check it after we left. I returned to the office to let them know the air still wasn't working and nothing. Didn't offer another room. We have had a very difficult year and this was our only chance to get away.what a disappointment. We also had very loud people above us. Stomping stomping stomping. Wish we would have had an alternative. "

"Great beach location
Awesome beach access and location. Nice pool. Overall really nice complex. 109 was reasonably priced and I would definately recommend and stay here again. That said, 109 HANDS DOWN has the WORST room rental BED ive EVER tried to be in. Wife agrees. The pull out sofa was better even with the classic break-back bar in place. Also, please paint once in awhile to update and hide the gross black moldy corners. And, the $5 Walmart mini-blinds..... no light or noise or look-in control. Please update with some beach appropriate non-absorbant curtains. The TV/cable NEVER worked, but i did not report or request help as my tween kid had a game console, and we benefitted from the TV hiatus anyway. Otherwise 109 was fine, really. "

"Good location, but unit needs updating
Overall this property was okay but I'm not sure we would stay here again. The short walk to the beach is great. The pool was nice but little smaller than expected and we didn't end up using it because it was too crowded. They don’t clean the rooms each day or replace the towels, but they will exchange your towels for you at the front desk, I liked that as I don’t need someone entering my room each day to make the bed and tidy up. The unit description "unmatched beach view" simply isn't accurate. The unit has a view of the beach access road; there is a slight beach view if you look down the row of rooms. This unit also needs updating badly. All the furniture is old, and both the bed and pull out couch were very hard and uncomfortable. Additionally, there is a large microwave installed over the oven but it is broken, and instead of fixing it there is a second microwave on the counter, taking up valuable space. Our family members booked another room (same size) for the same price but it was much nicer and more comfortable, recently updated with more counter space in the kitchen. However the biggest issue we had with this property (and the reason we probably won't return) was the booking/ payment policy, and the complete lack of a refund policy. We were required to pay a deposit at booking, then pay the full amount a few weeks prior to our stay. That wouldn’t have been an issue if it weren’t for the lack of a refund policy; we had to pre-pay the full amount and we would have lost all of our money if we had needed to cancel. If you require 100% of the money to be pre-paid weeks before the stay, you need to allow for at least a partial refund. That's a very unfair policy that the management team needs to reconsider."

"Subpar
Ground floor was helpful...but not a beach view unless you stand on the porch. Great view of the cars in the parking lot.
This unit was incredibly dirty. We noticed several things right off the bat (couldn't check in until after had to be "inspected" first...that's a joke. There was a screw on the floor as soon as you walk in, glad I was wearing shoes...granted it was hard to see on the dirty floor mat inside the door. A huge ball of human hair in the bedroom (easy to miss? must have been because I had to point it out). There was blood on the bathroom door, a stain on the couch, had to wash every single dish we used prior to using (lots of dust and some grime). There's much more but I am tired of thinking about it.
I immediately called the management company and they apologized and said they would send housekeeping back out and for the inconvenience they would move our unit and upgrade us. We saw another unit and loved it...clean, great view. However, when we said we would take it they tried to charge us a couple of hundred more dollars for the upgrade. Mind you this is almost 3 hours later and we're tired and HOT...Texas in midsummer. When I spoke with the manager she said she would have her manager call me but instead only made the first person call me back and say she was wrong and I was getting a great deal of 20% off the second unit...yet I was still going to be out of pocket even more money. Ranting now but it aggravated me. Never got the call from the manager like she said and had to beg for a discount on the first unit. I was not going to pay full price and spend two days cleaning for them (especially since you pay a cleaning fee).
Side note...when they sent housekeeping back I pointed out the issues I immediately saw, they took pictures and "cleaned it in 2 minutes flat. I went out and bought cleaning supplies and corrected it for them.
Oh, and the bed is REALLY uncomfortable. We will not be staying in this unit EVER "

"Coming to El Constante for 30 years
As always our stay at El Constante was enjoyable. The staff is the best. The condos are always immaculate and stocked with the basic necessities. It is a wonderful place to stay for families. This is why we keep coming back. First with our children and now with our grandchildren. The only negative comment I have is while it is wonderful that it is receiving a complete makeover be prepared for the noise and obstruction of views that comes witb renovation. "

"Dumpy Awful Place
We stayed here with every intention of going to the beach right outside the property but with the constant craziness of the public drive to the beach adjacent to the property it was just too much. The room was dirty with mold in the window sill, the ceiling was paper thin (you'd think giants were upstairs, but they were just children), and the whole place under construction (I wish I had known beforehand). The pool was always full of people not even staying at the hotel; one lady who was staying there literally passed out in the pool while we were there.... not fun. We were happy to check out at the unreasonably early 11am."
