"Beautiful beach rental
Nice, clean place.
Only issue was the entrance keypad. Recommend cleaning before rental so numbers wont stick. Do appreciate the quick repair service.

"Nope
This rental had amazing potential..perfect location but alot of little things that would keep me from booking it again. This place needed a really good cleaning, not just a wipe down but a cleaning. The bathroom constantly smelled of stinky urine and no matter what I did I couldn’t get it out. The washing machine was filthy. Full of sand and black grime it was repulsive. The dishes and the stand for them were also filthy. The sofa bed, well we shouldn’t even call it a bed, was more like a torture device. There’s a huge dip in it making it practically unusable. Unfortunately for my daughter that was her bed. After our first night I regretted booking two other night we were ready to go home. Do not recommend to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy. "

"Another Great Experience using (Property Management)
We continue to have a great experience with Padre Island Escapes. This is our 4th year using the company for our vacation rental. My wife and I cannot praise the (Property Management) team enough. Everyone is helpful and courteous.
I definitely want to recognize CJ and the maintenance team. We stay 3-5 months at a time, and sometimes encounter appliance breakdowns. CJ engages the right resources needed to fix the problem quickly! Very very great service and effort!!"

"Loved the Location
We had everything we needed and the layout with the bunk beds was great. Quiet unit. The bathroom smelled like pee so we bought enzyme to clean around base of toilet. Wished it had newer pillows but we brought ours. Decor and kitchen were nice. Just wish it was overall cleaner."

The stay was good and the location was good. The only issue I had was with the sight cleanliness. The grounds were not picked up and had a lot of litter and the dumpsters were full the day we got there so trash was piled in front of the two dumpsters for 4 days and it stank and there were flies and gulls everywhere and trash strewn about the lot. I personally picked up trash two days"

"Needs sidewalk
We had a wonderful time at Villages by the beach. We were also pleased with (Property Management).
The only difficult part of our trip was transporting our squirmy little boys to the little kids pool/splash pad, when there was no sidewalk to walk on. There were only pavers spaced far apart with LOTS of gravel. I know (Property Management) doesn't own the entire property but adding more pavers or a sidewalk would be HUGE. Also, I hope the playground will reopen soon- it did not appear damaged in anyway so I am not sure what "renovations" are being done on it."

We based our ratings on our personal opinions and experience.
Things that we enjoyed about our stay .......
*walking distance to the beach
*quick fix to the light
* great communication through email leading up to the stay
*pool was nice
Things that we did not enjoy about our stay.........
*upon arrival, we waited an hour before getting into our condo
*did not feel like the room was clean ( sand in chairs, lots of hair on floor, bathroom smelt like urine)
* front porch filthy with balls of hair and sand
Personally In order for us to recommend this property, it would need.....
* cleaned and sanitized
* vacuum furniture
*organize games and cards as if they haven’t been played with yet..
* made to look more welcoming/ home like, candles sprays, complementary fruit bowl... something...
*Cleaning supplies
*swept porch
After all it is a house, and attention to details would have been nice.

"Loved our stay!

"Horrible Place to Stay
Hi - This is a horrible place to stay. I was supposed to come Thursday (July 23) and stay through Sunday (July 26). But I called on Wednesday (July 22) to cancel because of this bad hurricane/storm that was coming. I know it wasn’t 72 hours in advance but I wasn’t sure how bad the storm was going to be until the last minute and I cancelled for me and my daughter’s safety. What disappoints me is that you won’t give me a full refund or even half of a refund back for these types of circumstances. I will never stay at your location or recommend this to anyone again. Shame on you for “punishing” me when I was thinking of our safety."

"Cute little rental

"Great for families!
We are familiar with the island, but had not stayed at this location. It was awesome. The 2 pools were great for my kids. It's super close to the beach and you can drive right up to the water. The condo was very clean and tidy and there were no issues at all."

Great location. great pools. Kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with NOT rusted out overused pans and utensils. Plenty of everything AND things that were actually useful. King bed still squeaked but they fixed it ASAP. "

This was a great place with lots of room. We took our two Labrador retrievers and they had plenty of room to lay about. The bed itself was comfortable, but the springs on the older bed frame squeaked horribly if you moved in the bed. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would book it again if we want to bring the dogs with us."

"Village by the Beach
This spot was absolutely perfect. Very clean town home with everything we needed for a beach vacay. Close to the beach so that in the early morn we'd get up and take a quick run on the shore. We drove with our chairs, beach gear just b/c it's easier to carry but definitely walkable. Able to grill one eve and the kids had fun at the pool. Our pup was able to join us which made the trip even better! Definitely plan on staying here again and would recommend for friends!"

"Nice, clean and comfortable
The condo was as pictured. No surprises in the room itself. The pool was nice but one gate was difficult to open and the other one was not locked at all. The kiddie pool was smaller than pictures. I would like to bring my dog since it is pet friendly but increased costs make it too pricey. Dumpster was overflowing. Other than that it was nice. AC worked well and kitchen was well stocked. "

Well setup Condo for a 1 bed 1 bath. Bunk beds were great, couch was very comfortable but a thin uncomfortable mattress when folded out into a bed. We used the bunks instead. Very well stocked kitchen, huge ice maker in the fridge. Nice TV,s. Would stay again."

Overall a great place... Unit was exactly as described on website. Staff was quick to respond & repair a broken toilet handle. No complaints & we have booked again for 2020 with (Property Management). "Pierces on Padre
We had a lovely month's stay on North Padre Island at Village By the Beach. We could walk to the beach and had a very pretty heated pool on the property. We cooked out at one of the grills at the pool. Our unit was clean and cozy. We had a fun holiday. We ,especially enjoyed restaurants near the water such as on Bob Hall Pier, Snoopy's Doc's. A friend really enjoyed Scuttlebutt's for blackened seafood. We liked the Texas Aquarium, the National Seashore and the lovely Bayfront drive in downtown Corpus Christi."

"Great complex, adequate condo
We've stayed at this complex before and it is our favorite. Great location, great heated pools, dog friendly. We have stayed in a unit a few doors down that is the gold standard. And compared to that other place ("Casa Pez Vida"), this unit falls short. The main differences affecting our stay:
Inadequate hot water heater (not enough for one shower)
Undersized dresser
Dirty shower liner
Shower drained very slowly
Rusty shower curtain rod
And a tiny, corroded 1-cup coffee maker. (Which meant we had to drive to buy coffee every day. A great beach vacay for us includes zero driving).
In short: this condo was adequate but we'll be sticking to our gold standard condo from now on."

"Great Get Away!

"Nice place!
We had trouble finding the right place because each row has the same numbers and we turned into the wrong row. We called the management company and didn't get called back till the next day. Fortunately, we figured it out. Management was apologetic. The rental was roomy and the televisions great once maintenance helped me get them working. Spectrum went offline the night before and they needed to be rebooted. The fan in the master was noisy and maintenance said they would put in a work order. It would be nice if we didn't have to leave by 11:00. Management did text that we could arrive earlier than 4:00 pm. The location is good, the pool nice, although it was a rainy, cold weekend. Overall it's a good place despite the glitches. "

"a wonderful family beach condo
The condo is brand new. There is even a fresh smell as if, it was recently built. All fixtures, decore, furniture is new. Awesome Samsung TVs, incredible lg washer and dryer. Even, the pillows make you want to live there. The pool is great. The only downside is, it's not port Aransas where everything is a block away. However, this place is far nicer than our usual place, sand castle. It was far, cheaper as well. I wish I could say more but, overall it would be a nice place to own."

Our condo at Village by the Beach exceeded our expectations. We are a family of 4. The condo with bunk beds was perfect for our family. The condo was clean and the management company super helpful. My kids loved the pool and the location is close to Corpus Christi as well as the beach. We are already talking about a return trip here next summer!"

Overall the stay was wonderful. The pool is nice and close to the unit. The unit was clean. There were a few small things but they would not deter us from renting again. The dishes didn't seem to be clean. I'm not sure if the dishwasher isn't great or if they weren't put through a wash. We just hand washed what we needed to use. Their is a nice laundry basket in the bedroom but it is unfortunately full of mold. It is hidden in the closet so I am sure it hasn't been seen by the cleaning company to remove. The pool was a nice break every day and it was clean and the area around the pool was well taken care of. It was very quiet and relaxing. "

"Beautiful condo
We thoroughly enjoyed the condo! The cleanliness all the amenities and the closeness to the beach. Why we wouldn't stay here again though is the check in time is too late at 4 p.m. as well as there were items we know we left and they were never returned that's a huge Integrity issue for us. And they sent us to the wrong condo which created a lot of stress with us unpacking getting there in finding someone else in the condo and realizing we were sent to the wrong unit"

"Family spring break
Property was exactly as described. It was very clean and had all of the basics we needed for our stay. The area was quiet and my 3 kids had plenty of room to play inside the condo. "Beautiful property in a great location
The condo at Village by the Beach was everything in the photos, but better. It was immaculate when we arrived, everything was in an excellent state of repair, with nothing broken or wonky and nice new appliances. It had everything we could have needed, including a very well stocked kitchen. It was a nice size, open and airy, but cozy. The furnishings were of good quality and decor was tasteful. (Property Management) was easy to work with. There was construction going on behind the unit, but it wasn't actually very noisy, and will very soon be finished (it was progressing quickly). The pool area was pleasant, the beach was a quick walk, and the other people staying in neighboring units were quiet and friendly. The walls must be fairly thick, since there were dogs staying in adjacent units, but we never heard them at all. Not a peep. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay - one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. "
