"Cozy townhouse
Cozy setting as indicated in pictures. Kitchen is well stocked. Plenty of extra blankets & pillows. One thing to be aware of is the uphill walk from parking lot is rough and uneven and could be an issue for those with mobility problems. We enjoyed our stay and it was just minutes from the wedding we were attending. "

Everything was great for our stay... just lost 1 star for a lumpy mattress, but other than that... we had a great stay here.

"Wonderful!
I was in town for a 100 mile trail race and needed somewhere for me and my support crew to stay before, during and after the race. In total there were five adults. The location was good for what I needed - only about twenty minutes to the main access point (Diamond Peak) and cheaper than Incline Village. The lake was a very close walk! And I hear the hot tubs were great. Sadly, they close the hot tubs on Sunday and Monday so I wasn’t able to enjoy them post race - one reason I was excited to stay here, so be aware of that if that’s what you’re looking for. The place itself was quite nice. The second bedroom is actually a spacious upstairs loft with a queen bed for two and a smaller twin/full size bed. The downstairs bedroom is private with a very cozy king bed. We all went to bed around noon the same time so the second bedroom behind an open loft wasn’t really an issue. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. All in all I would recommend it! "

Although the condo was a bit smaller and darker than I'd expected, it certainly is very comfortable and well appointed. We all slept very well on the two king beds, and the kitchen had more tools and dishware than we'd expected - updated appliances helped us to prepare our own meals. We did have one issue with the stovetop, which I think still needs to be repaired, but I was able to get in touch with an on-call service rep pretty quickly. Overall we had a very restful experience here! Good quality location."

"Awesome Rental / Great Location
I’m so happy we picked this Condo for our week stay at Lake Tahoe. We were 10 minutes walking distance to the lake. The Condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with quality appliances, dishes, pots & pans and all the utensils needed to cook meals throughout the day. The Weber gas grill was great for cooking out . The loft was roomy enough for our 2 young adult boys to sleep and the Master bedroom had a very comfortable bed. There was a variety of entertainment on the tv with several streaming channels with live network channels. We had access to the large well maintained community pool and a pair of hot tubs plus a game room, ping pong, pool table and tennis courts. Also, I was very happy we stayed on the North Shore. It was very laid back with plenty of family activities not to mention the night sky where you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye. I strongly recommend this unit for a Couple or Family of 4."

WE were visiting our daughter who lives in this complex. we loved the location-5 min or less walk to the lake/beach, 2 minutes to tennis court.
there was a broken light in the bedroom, but when i emailed the property manager someone came over within hours and got it repaired same day; there was also a broken cord on the window shade, but that didn't significantly affect us. would be nice to have a night table on both sides of the bed (not just one). great comfy bed and pillows.nice bathrrom with great water pressure in the shower. there is a wood burning fireplace but no wood. extremely clean.the only disappointment was the bath towels were as hard as cardboard (the smaller towels were fine/soft)."

Our stay was quite enjoyable here. Close to Lake Tahoe, convenience store, and a few restaurants. Nice little trail right out back. The only thing that was disappointing was there was no firewood for the fireplace. I have a ton of wood at home that I would have brought had I known, but normally a rental with a fireplace provides wood. This was really disappointing to us. We ended up buying some low quality wood at the hardware store. "

All in all it was pretty clean I still wiped everything down with bleach wipes because of COVID-19. I did grab a dish from the cupboard and it had food still on it not sure if dishwasher was cleaning properly we had washed everything. The place was quiet it had an OK view the walk was short to the beach which we did enjoy. We were unable to use facilities even the pool which they told us we could but then somebody got sick and it was closed bummer.Place was OK size for family of four but loft was very sunny kids couldn’t sleep in LOL we would rent again."

Check in was a disaster. Texted to get in early by2 hours. No response. Then at 4pm, Condo wasn’t cleaned yet. Then cleaners cleaned in under 30 minutes. Which was quick but I worried it wasn’t though Enough w covid. Then something smelled and smoked when I used the oven.I cleaned the oven myself. Pots and pans ,utensils were old and difficult to cook with."

"Amazing facilities, beautiful location.
After a very tiring road trip, it was wonderful to arrive at Driftwood to find a warm and inviting place. We loved how there were so many lovely facilities like a full kitchen with all new appliances, strong hot shower, even large log beds which completed that feel of a cosy log cabin. We felt very comfortable. The ability to light a fire and enjoy that whilst looking out to a beautiful snowy landscape too was lovely. We would definitely come back again. "

"Extended weekend in Tahoe
We really liked condo. It was clean, well supplied & comfortable. The location was perfect for getting around the lake.
There were only a few issues. Despite hearing gas come out for the fireplace it wouldn't light & neither would the grill. I had to cook out steaks on a skillet. I'm glad there was one there.
We did got to the club house & use the hot tub. Very nice.
It was a good idea to leave the keys in the lock box whenever we went out. Always assured us that we could a least get back in."

"Driftwood: Family with kids Summer 2018
Our family has discovered the Carnelian Woods HOA, and the various rentals. Perfect for summertime, and wintertime fun. The Driftwood unit is perfect for families wanting to enjoy onsite summertime amenities, such as the pool and hot tub (no outside food/drinks/alcohol apparently), tennis courts (closed due to resurfacing), and other common area features. The units common area living area is comfortable and as pictured. Kitchen is remodeled, but with minimal additional touches, such as spare Tupperware/food storage, foil, plastic wrap, and pantry items. Not a deal breaker, but other rental units have had more equipped kitchens. No Smart TV onsite, which is a nice touch to have, so guests can enjoy their subscription based apps when winding down for the evening. The upstairs loft is spacious, and includes a toilet and sink. It would be a nice touch to install a sheetrock wall, and enclose the loft, and turn it into a bedroom. This would allow guests who are in the living area, to continue on with their evenings, without additional noise disruption. The Weber grill is hooked up to natural gas, and works well. The unit does not include a handbook for guests to review policies and best practices. Other units have typically included such. This unit 15 and is located between adjacent units, although the upstairs windows allow additional light in the living area, which is nice. In order to increase airflow on the summer days, a couple of box fans would be a great addition. If you are a light sleeper the ceiling fan in the loft, is out of balance and makes noise. Finally there is no dining table, but the countertop is spacious and well appointed. If the owner continued to accept feedback and improve on the unit, it would continue to be a choice when we want a 1 room and 1 loft option at Carnelian Woods."

"Great vacation home!
The home was in perfect condition, the pictures are very accurate. We traveled as a family of four adults and the home was a perfect size for us. Two king sized beds were a great feature compared to many rentals we've stayed in with queen or full sized beds. There were also plenty of extra blankets and pillows to use if needed. The main bedroom does not have a ceiling fan, but there was a medium oscillating fan in the closet that we used, which was really nice. There is a ceiling fan for the loft area.
A really nice touch was individual size boxes of detergent for use with the washing machine, as well as new and wrapped bars of hand soap and a new small bottle of dish soap. Nice touches you would find in good hotels.
This was our third time visiting Tahoe in the last four years, and the first staying in Carnelian Bay. It was much quieter than South Lake Tahoe, which we liked and close to Tahoe City, Truckee, Tahoe Vista and Sand Harbor, which we spent a lot of our time in. If you plan to spend a lot of time in South Lake Tahoe, or near Heavenly, there can be quite a bit of driving. Either way you go around the lake is at least a 45 minute drive one way. We encountered road construction on both sides of the lake during our visit as well.
Overall we loved this home and highly recommend it."

The house was great the property was ok and the property manganese were very strange/ in welcoming. I think it’s wired that you have to deal with two different companies instead of just the owner. We didn’t use any of the electronics but the internet worked fine for us. "

Great location-close to many restaurants and beaches. Slept like a baby on the king bed. We found the unit to be cold in the living room. As soon as we turned down the heat, we could feel the cold air coming up through the floors just in the living room. The bedroom was carpeted so it was nice and toasty. I would rent this again, but only in the summer. "

property management was very easy to work with and was very responsive. from date of booking through phone call for early check-in, communication was excellent. property is located between Tahoe city and Kings beach. ideal location because we were staying for local ski resorts and proximity to stores and restaurants. All were at the farthest 30 minutes away. Property was well appointed. Other than groceries, there was nothing missing or needed. We were surprised to find the unit also had a stacked washer/dryer which came in very handy. "

First of all, thank you very much for the support when we were getting there. We did a mistake not attempting for the keys of place and we were very well assisted by the owner of location.
Staying in a such beautiful place is always a pleasant experience. We stayed with the whole family for skiing at Squaw and were very much enjoyable.
We look forward to visit again Lake Tahoe, maybe, on summer or spring.

It is very well located to go skiing to the best ski centers in the area.

"Updated amenties and comfy beds
We stayed here in 2015 and it appears the appliances and the downstairs bathroom have all been redone. Everything worked well with the exception of the bbq was out of propane, the upstairs bathroom toilet runs loudly, and the dvd player did not work. Beds were comfy (aside from the one twin upstairs) and unit is very quiet even though it is one of those closer to the main road which we chose on purpose to haul our kayak across the street easier. Unit seemed very clean including the light colored carpeting. Would definately stay here again. "

"AWESOME HOUSE!
The property that we rented was a house for 5 people. It was just as described! Very clean, carpeted, heated. Came with 2 king sized beds and a twin sized and a comfy sofa. Bathrooms are modern and clean. Plenty of bedding to keep warm as well. The loft was amazing as well. The hot tubs were super clean, but only downside was that it closed pretty early at 8:45 pm. Would definitely rent again!"

This was a great vacation..the condo was even nicer than the pictures on had everything including paper towels in the kitchen..dishwasher soap. Dish soap.....everything we needed was there.even matches to light the real fire place...decor was very nice..there was a bear theme threwout the the whole felt like home..cosy....warm...and so many blankets we could have survived a bblizzard without the heater on"

We have stayed at Carnelian Woods many times in the past 30 years and have found the accommodations to be comfortable, clean and well-kept. Sleeping comfort was lacking this time. The mattress pad and sheets did not fit the bed. The sheets were very thin and terribly worn, the elastic was stretched out completely and the mattress pad was too small for the size mattress. We woke many times during the night to replace the pad and sheets. This made sleeping very difficult. In spite of the lack of sleep the rest of the experience was very good. "

"Comfortable condo and great location
We really enjoyed the condo and the amenities, particularly the beautiful pool, which we had nearly all to ourselves. Construction work being done the parking lot on our last day made packing our vehicle very difficult, but other than that, no complaints."

This property is very nice. It's in a good location for skiing and food. I would have liked to see some spices and Cooking spray stocked as well as shampoo.
The only other down side is for a two night stay the Cleaning fee was just about the same amount as the 2 night base amount. The cleaning fee shouldn't be that much"

"Our Labor Day stay
The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, the TV was great, and the place had everything two people would need. The wireless never got a strong enough signal but we used the ethernet cord to connect, which worked out fine. The rugs were
a little dirty, probably from skiers. Having the tennis courts, pool and hot tub was fantastic. The location is a little out of the way, but on Labor Day weekend, that was plus."
