This upgraded second floor condo at Kona Shores has everything you need to enjoy your time on the Big Island of Hawaii! This is a corner unit which provides an extra window with a peekaboo ocean view! This Studio condo features a full kitchen and full bathroom with upgraded bathroom vanity and new appliances. There is an extra spacious Eastern California King sized bed along with a Queen sized sleeper sofa to accommodate up to 4 guests.There is plenty of seating in the living area, a flat screen TV with cable, complimentary Wi-Fi, plus a screened in lanai with outdoor seating. There is a new Air Conditioning unit to help cool off from the tropical sunshine after your Hawaii excursions. The floor plan is as follows: you enter through the living room with the bathroom to the right, from the living room you enter the bedroom/kitchen which shares the same space, the lanai is off of the kitchen/bedroom. There is just a door way with no door between kitchen/bedroom and living room.

The Kona Shores condominium complex has an ocean-front pool with a cabana, two bathrooms and a charcoal grill for barbecuing. It is the perfect location to hang out and soak up the Hawaii sun and watch the gorgeous Kona sunsets. You can possibly spot the famous 'Green Flash” at sunset as the sun sets behind the horizon. The Kona Shores is a popular location for visitors due to its close proximity to beaches and to the heart of Kailua-Kona with restaurants and shopping right along the water’s edge. Some of the activities you can find on the Kona Coast include beaches, luau’s, farmer’s markets, art galleries, jewelry shops, restaurants, boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, boogie boarding, and deep sea fishing; just about every water sport you can think of! There are also several great golf courses nearby. With so much to do this condo makes a perfect home base to relax after all of your vacation adventures or you can just have a relaxing day lounging by the pool.

There are rent-able bikes available across the street from Kona Shores. There is an assigned parking space and laundry facilities that are compatible with the PayRange laundry facility app.

Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

"Kona Shores 221
Small but clean and nice place with beach accessories. Pool was right on the ocean with access to a lava rock cove we could sit on and watch the waves and spectacular sunsets. The king bed was comfy, but the pull out couch mattress was like many a pull out; uncomfortably thin and springy. Luckily they had an inflatable, double high queen mattress, but that’s where they lost a star. Extremely well located to the downtown, tourist central shops/resto’s strip, with beaches under 10 minutes away. Would go back for the sunsets alone!! "

Sorry for the delay I did put it into Verbo. However, the condo was clean and in a great location to Kona. The management staff was fantastic. If there was an issue, they were there to handle it. The Wi-Fi went out and immediately fixed. The property is close to the water with a pool and central. I would recommend this location and will stay there again.

"One week in Paradise at Kona Shores
We stayed at the Kona Shores condos and loved the property and the proximity to Kona. The location is easily walking distance to Kona. The property is nice and well maintained. We never swim in the pools in Hawaii because why would you when you have the ocean? However, it's such a great view looking over the ocean that we had to! The unit has a comfortable bed and really had everything we needed. Also, the A/C unit was definitely appreciated as other units we have stayed in did not have. This is our 3rd time renting from Knutson & Associates and we have had nothing but good interactions with them. They are a professional company and definitely take good care of their customers. You will not be disappointed if you rent this place. "

"Not up to snuff
This was the first disappointing stay that we have had on VRBO. No in apartment washer dryer. Sheets were old and cheap. They did replace with some new cheap sheets. Bugs on arrival. No TV in bedroom. No AC in den. The den was hot. "

"Perfect fit for our 18 day stay
We have stayed at Kona Shores before in another unit and, while the footprint of the unit is the same, the room configuration is different. Instead of entering the unit into a bedroom, where the seating/living area is in the kitchen section, the furniture is reversed. It was not unpleasant to sleep in the kitchen area since this is where the A/C is, so it’s cooler and more comfortable to sleep. The mattress is good, too. There are 4 ceiling fans , though none on the balcony which was too warm to sit for any length of time. The kitchen is very well equipped and I cooked every day. The bath shower was powerful and welcoming after a day at the beach. The laundry was nearby and very clean. I never had to wait for a machine. The pool and lounge chairs were a great way to watch the incredible views. Thank you to Knutson & Assoc property management and also to Brad, the constantly working on-site manager."

"Kona vacation
We booked a condo in Kailua Kona. We enjoyed our stay. There was only one issue that the sliding patio door would not lock. I reported that to the management company and they said they would have maintenance take a look at it. The only thing I might suggest as far as check in, they indicate to park in number 62. They should tell you that number 62 is behind the building so that you eliminate driving around trying to find it. It was great that you provided snorkeling gear for us to use. "

"Overdue Maintenance Required
I reached out to the property management company and let them know of the maintenance was required and they said that they are working on addressing the issues but I would rent this property only with extreme caution. To begin, it's falsely advertised, t is NOT a one bedroom - it is a studio. There was a broken faucet (that severely cut me) in the shower, missing window panes, cracked light fixtures, etc. that made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing. The photos of the property are not of its current condition and do not show that it's a studio; additionally, there was a printed message that looked fairly old stating that the property required maintenance and that the property managers were aware of the condition of the property (but why wasn't maintenance done?). Additionally, we found hair (not our color) and stains all over the apartment and linens which made us feel very uncomfortable with the cleanliness."

"Great Stay
The apartment was clean, the lanai was a great touch for drying beach towels, etc. We used the kitchen a lot so it was nice to see a rice cooker, toaster, coffee pot, and all basic kitchen supplies with a large refrigerator. The pool was nice and clean with access to the ocean view. Parking was assigned so we didn't have to worry about finding our own street parking.

If you have an extra guest staying in the living room, it gets reallly really hot in there with the AC in the other room. That was uncomfortable at night.

"Had Everything we needed plus more!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at your 221 Kona Shores Property. King bed was super comfy, kitchen was well stocked, and the extra beach items (chairs, umbrellas, coolers, snorkel gear) was a pleasant surprise. A/C worked perfectly. Property is located very close to downtown and one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. Pool/BBQ area was a great place to relax and watch the amazing sunsets. Thanks again for a great stay. We stayed in unit #221 and it was perfect for me my hubby and 2 kids..they had everything we needed in the condo to accommodate us..we are simple so this condo was perfect..the pool is absolutely great!I think the only thing i was worried about is not making too much noise it's like a retirement place and my 5 year old can be playful and loud..we didn't get any complaints but it is more of a quiet property which is fine..we were hardly at the condo..all in all we loved the unit nothing fancy for us the ocean path and pool by the ocean is fancy favorite part of the condo was the lanai��oh and the AC was perfect!!Mahalo for a great stay we definitely recommend to stay there...Aloha!!"

"Good place but TERRIBLE management team would stealing your money
The place itself was not bad, but the terrible management team was such a disgrace!

We paid our cleaning fee + insurance fee as part of the booking fee. After which, our property manager charged us additional $500 after us checking out. When I reached back to understand more, the staff tried to blackmail us by saying he could easily charge me more + if I don't accept this, he would charge me more + he has always been able to charge more whenever people tried to fight the amount...

When I asked him why I was charged on my credit card even without my authorization, he claimed that he could charge us however much he wanted, and he texted me to let me know...

On top of these, he has been very rude and racist, who did not know how to speak to people with respect.

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone because of the management team. "
