This Villa consists of a pristine 2.5 acre white sand beach frontage area. Moloa'a Bay was the site location for the TV pilot of "Gilligan's Island".

Here is where the USS MINNOW and its crew originally shipwrecked. This may be as close as you will come to living on Gilligan's Island.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION

In the event Guest cancels a reservation no later than ninety (90) days prior to scheduled arrival, all monies will be refunded, less a cancellation fee of $175.00. In the event Guest cancels a reservation less than sixty (60) days prior to check-in, Guest shall forfeit the Reservation Deposit and shall be responsible for paying all remaining rent and taxes, with the exception of the cleaning fee and Security Deposit (if applicable). All cancellations must be made in writing (emailed or faxed cancellations are acceptable). We do not make exceptions.

No rental refunds will be given for early departure or late cancellation. RE/MAX Kauai will not be liable under any circumstances, including substitutions, to refund Guest for any unused portion of booked accommodations or services.

Changes can occur after a reservation is made as a result of sale of unit, remodeling, mechanical failure or servicing. Should the Rental Property be made unavailable for any reason beyond the control of RE/MAX Kauai, RE/MAX Kauai will use its best efforts to provide Guest with a substitute vacation accommodation of equal value. If no other rental property is available, RE/MAX Kauai shall notify Guest and refund any payments made as soon as possible.

Guest understands that Owner retains the right to sell the Rental Property or change management companies at any time. In the event the Rental Property is sold or transferred to new management, Guest understands that RE/MAX Kauai is under no obligation to provide a substitute vacation accommodation of equal value. RE/MAX Kauai may however, at its option, act as an intermediary between Guest and Owner to look for a substitute vacation accommodation of equal value. If RE/MAX Kauai is unable to find such accommodations, this Agreement shall be cancelled and terminated and RE/MAX Kauai shall refund all payments made under this Agreement. Guest understands that RE/MAX Kauai shall not thereafter have any liabilities or obligations to Guest arising out of the unavailability of the Rental Property and/or the alteration of Guest’s travel arrangements.

Except as provided above, reservations are non-transferable.

RE/MAX Kauai may terminate this Agreement upon the breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement by Guest or any occupant of the Rental Property. In the event of such termination, Guest shall not be entitled to the return of any monies paid to Owner or RE/MAX Kauai. Upon such termination, Guest and all occupants in the Rental Property shall immediately vacate the Rental Property.

RE/MAX Kauai in its sole discretion reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any person(s) and/or to rescind any contract for accommodations or guest services.

"Property is deteriorating
Salt water is obviously destructive, but many issues we saw were not a result of that. The toilets leak, and seats are broke, PS3 did not work. Home sound system did not work. Ice maker did not work, a repair man came, but did not fix it, so I fixed it myself. There are more issues, but not enough room to put them all in here. Basically, the view of the ocean is great, but the house needs a bit of work, mostly simple things, so I am not sure why that is not being handled."

"Idyllic setting
We've stayed in this property as a group of 10 people. It's our big family reunion. The house is on an idyllic setting. It's right on white sandy beach. The property has provided everything needed for the stay including beach chairs etc. Living room/ open plan kitchen and balcony has amazing sea view which really makes the stay very pleasant. The cottage offers more privacy being in the back of the garden and it's perfectly self contained. We're very much enjoyed our stay there. "

"Moloa'a Bay Villa and Cottage
This was a perfect rental for our family of 12. The one area of the beach was particularly suitable for the little ones (with supervision, of course). It was nice to have sand toys and beach equipment available. The views were lovely and the area quiet. The kitchen was well-equipped and suitable for preparing meals for our large group. We had a very enjoyable time and would love to return to this location."

"Wonderful private retreat on the beach!
We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The homes were beautiful and the view -- amazing! We ate almost all our meals in since we wanted to be home as much as possible. We woke up early each morning to catch the sunrise and enjoyed snorkeling a wave riding right our our door. Will return! Having both the main house and the cottage was perfect for our extended family, giving everyone a bit of privacy when desired. Never turn a TV on once, but there were several if someone wanted to watch movies on a rainy day. We were fortunate to have warm weather and sun every day. Loved the upper east side location as a base for exploring the island."

"Great week at perfect spot on beautiful island
We just spent a week at the end of May at this property with our family. The home was just steps away from a great beach. The beach was nice for walks and also calm enough for relaxed swimming and snorkeling. It was also within a short driving distance from many of the attractions on the north shore. The view from the deck was fabulous and the landscaping was very impressive. The property management team was quick to respond when we had a problem and the property was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had several great meals with the wonderful view from the house. We also untied the guest cottage and that worked well for our family. We would recommend this property for a nice, relaxing vacation."

"Wonderful week in Kauai
My family had a wonderful time at this compound. The main house and guest house arrangement was ideal for giving the various generations the space they needed. The main house has some maintenance issues with some of the bedroom fans hitting the light figures when they turn. We also got to know the landscaping crew pretty well as they were there each day. "

"Near perfect house and location
Everything about this place was fantastic. The main house worked well for 3 couples- 2 with a small child each. Plenty of room in the spacious bedrooms and closets for everyone. The baths are slightly dated but very clean and functional. The kitchen is large and modern and well stocked with all essentials. The living and dining areas are wide open and perfect for gathering. The view from the house and large porch/ deck is spectacular and the beach is literally just steps away. The beach has great swimming and snorkeling. My brother and his wife stayed in the cottage and had exactly the same great experience. They had TV issues but the manager acted promptly to solve the problem. I don't hesitate to recommend this place and really hope to have the opportunity to go back again. If it's possible, the property is even better than it's description and pictures."

"Kauai vacation
Other than breaking my ankle on day one ( hiking on the island ) it was a terrific time. Beach is sheltered so all the little kids could safely play in the water. Beautiful secluded beach and wonderful views. Kauai has a lot to offer and our property was a good home base to our vacation. I can even recommend the island trauma center highly."

"Very satisfactory experience; few things to make it better
We were a party of 7, 2 of them using the back cottage. Our stay was very enjoyable. Just a few recommendations to make it better: central air conditioning system in large house is somewhat noisy; could be better to have separate more modern systems for each of the different rooms. Some bathrooms have small tiles finishings on walls and lavatory tables, which I think could be modernized to look nicer.

"This is a beautiful place to stay

"Ultimate Vacation Relaxation Opportunity
I really hate to say too much; we will have to compete with all of you for our next stay. This is a great spot, with a fabulous house, that has the feel that you are way off the beaten path, even though you are only 2 miles from the highway, and maybe 6 miles from good restaurants and groceries. We were lucky with weather for our late January stay; I understand sometimes the rains can take over. The surf is high, and beautiful when the winds come straight in, but we also had several days where things calmed down, and we could swim and snorkle, which you must be cautious about, especially in the winter. We started every morning with a beach walk - only a few other folks around. We stopped looking for other beaches after just a couple days, wondering why go anywhere else. We hit the beach early, and some of the shoreline is in shade from overhanging trees. There are reefs along both edges that do break up the surf, so there are opportunities to get a bit wet no matter what. Hiking trails start from the beach, and we tried some, but not all. They do lead to some great views. We could see whales in the ocean from our deck, and if you hiked to the points, you were even closer. There are 25 or 30 houses in the neighborhood around you, although you can't tell that from the house. It appears to be the best place on this Bay; but if it isn't, you won't complain. Bring your GPS for your car, and put this house as your "HOME", to help get back after dark. "

"What a week!
We rented both the main home and cottage for a week. There were 7 of us and we couldn't have been more comfortable! It was clean and very well maintained.

We spent a week relaxing on the beach and snorkeling in the bay. It was remote enough to be very tranquil, but close enough to town to drive everyday.

Sitting on the Lanai and watching the sun rise (jet lag allowed us many sunrises) couldn't be more relaxing.

We would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful stay on Kauai."

"Every time I visit I fall more and more in love
I have been renting this particular house for special occasions (Christmas, parents' 50th wedding anniversary, my 50th birthday, etc.) for over 15 years. The house and guest house are perfect for groups of 6-10, and the bay is off the beaten track so it gets very little tourist traffic. The bay features great snorkeling, boogie boarding and hiking, so there is no need to get into the car. If you do want to take in the sights of Hanalei and the north shore, it's a short 20-30 minute drive. In many ways, I consider this to be my home away from home and I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Kauai. "
