This is a beautiful ground floor spacious condo with a new king size bed in the master bedroom and a new queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room and two bathrooms. Because of the unique sea life tile floor, custom mural painting and decorative accents it is called “The Under the Sea Retreat”. It is fully equipped for all your needs and more. The kitchen has full size appliances and there is a washer/dryer inside the unit. The owners take pride in their unit and work frequently and hard on keeping it maintained. The unit is located in the central courtyard and is close to the entrance of the pool and spas area where also are located the ice machine and exercise room.
Same day bookings (meaning arrival is within 24 hours of making the reservation) requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.
Unit 6-108 is a 1 Bd 2 Bath unit with a great location in the complex. Beautifully decorated with artful touches makes this condo one of the nicest in the whole complex. Split system A/C in both the living room and bedroom makes for cool summer nights. It has a full kitchen, Cable TV, Apple TV, and high speed internet service.
Please Note: The Kamaole Sands Resort charges a $40.05 resort fee upon check-in. This fee include use of all complex amenities, Wi-Fi, parking, etc. The resort fee is in addition to and separate from any charges quoted by Rentals Maui Inc.

Love this place the grounds are beautiful and maintained impeccably as usual. Have stayed here many times it’s very family friendly and offers a lot . My only suggestion which I realize would be that Condo owners be held to a more higher standard. As I mentioned we have stayed at Kamaole 11 times now and we have had a few units that were not nice one was infested with roaches but thank goodness we booked with a company I do believe it was VRBO it was many years ago and they moved us to another unit no question asked. This yr the unit was sub-standard but clean it has all original cabinets, carpet etc. simply put its time for a complete facelift. When vacationers come to Hawaii and have spent several thousand dollars they are expecting high standards and if there not they camp on the shore lol. When I was in the hottub one evening this visit a man and his wife from Canada were upset he told me his unit was infested with roaches and he had no recourse because he rented directly from the owner he was there for 3 weeks and had spent $10,000 Canadian this is another case of slumlord renter. I realize this does not happen often but it is a shame that it happens at all and if it does the owners have to be held accountable by the managing company of this condominium. If a renter damages something they are held responsible! Ok all that being said I would certainly stay here again and recommend it but with a little caution only because of these slight concerns. It is certainly wise to book through a rental agency such as VRBO. It sure would be nice to see Kamaole Sands become a unified operation.!!!"

"Second Time and We'd Come Back
This was the second time we stayed in this unit and it was great again. What we loved most was that the kitchen is stocked, there are tons of sleeping mats, beach chairs, boogie boards, buckets, masks and snorkels. We really appreciated not having to look for these things or purchase them. There are a few upgrades from last year: air conditioning in bedroom and living room (although we didn't use it once), and a new blender. We did have some issues with playing movies on Netflix (the kept constantly freezing so we couldn't really watch them, but not a big deal. We loved the proximity to the pool although we didn't go there much (VERY crowded and a lot of loud people). Maui is getting busier and busier so we generally retreated down to Makena or some of the lesser known beaches. Altogether a great unit, great value, great experience for our family of four."

"Highly Recommended!
Comfortable, great location only steps from the pool, and the unit provided beach towels, beach chairs, a sun umbrella and beach toys too!

One note for future renters: the sheets for the pull-out sofa bed are in a box in the bookcase in the living room.

We come every year during this time and always try to book this same condo. The second we walk in it feels like home.
fully equipped with everything you can think of, a quick walk to the beach, the sound of the birds chirping in the morning and coffee out on the lanai.
As hard as it is to leave, we are always looking forward to coming back.

"Home away from Home
I have stayed at Kamaole Sands several times with rental Maui,The staff is always very helpful and they are great with hospitality. Our unit was 6-108 and it was clean and very homey!!!! The location is quiet and very private. We truly love it their. We did have a bathroom fan not working and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom would not go to the higher speeds like the one in the living room so it did make sleeping more difficult. Having the Netflix was an added bonus so relaxing in the evening with a movie was wonderful. Overall it was a great stay and I would go back again and again. Much Aloha to all."

"Beautiful Maui
6/108 Kamaole is a great condo with a lovely outside area . The whole complex
has beautiful gardens and the Kamaole Beach 3 is wonderful for swimming and snorkelling with up to 5 Turtles swimming with you. We were within walking to
Coffee shops , Thai restaurant and Mooose Mcgillacutty for happy hour .The local bus is handy to get to Foodland for grocerys but to see more of the island a car is needed."

"Acceptable after fixing sofa-bed at own expense.
This condo unit was generally in a clean acceptable condition with a most notable exception: the sofa bed was unusable for two adult to sleep in (small kids maybe okay) as it sagged so badly. We ended up buying a large sheet of plywood to put under the mattress to fix it, purchased at our own expense from a hardware store in Kahului.

Some of the furniture is old (some of the drawers in the main bedroom didn't work properly) but otherwise the unit was satisfactory.

The resort levies an additional $35 charge (plus tax) for using the pool and BBQ facilities. We stayed a week and had to the pay the fee, only to discover later that a $35 fee is a monthly rate (if staying longer than that). To make matters worse, the pool was closed for the day on Friday for a private event yet no reduction in the fee charged was forthcoming. Other places we have stayed at have NO extra fee for use of the pool and BBQs.

The BBQs have no roof over them, so are unusable if it rains (which it did several days of our stay)!

So I would not recommend this condo unit (due to sofa bed) nor staying at this complex (even though it looks nice).

We left the plywood for use by future guests but the rental company said it was going to charge us to have it removed. After I complained, they agreed not to levy an additional charge since the sofa bed was not viable. So I would be happy to deal with the rental company in future.

"Great condo at an awesome location!!!
We are quite happy with our stay at Kamaole Sands complex. The unit is conveniently located on the first floor just few meters away from the pool complex and a short walk to the beach. The complex is maintained really well.
The two rooms are quite spacious and there is good sound isolation between them.
The only suggestion we have for the owners is to replace some of the kitchen pots/pans, since Teflon coating has many scratches, which can't be good for the health of the guests who decide to cook."

"Maui Delightful.
This is the third time we have stayed in this unit...and it works so well for us. We love being on the fist floor next to the pool. The unit was clean and maintained, and stocked with all the amenities we needed. We feel safe with the security gates and on site security. We recommended a near by unit to my sister and her husband. It was nice to be so close together. We liked eating at the Pita Paradise in Wailea. (Greek food). "

"Great vacation in Maui
The unit is perfectly decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed however it could an update. The couch was uncomfortable, but as a bed it was comfortable. The unit could use few other minor touch-ups. Overall this was a great unit in a great location. It was just what we needed and would come back.

One irritating inconvenience was regarding payment for this rental. The final payment was to be sent by money order or U.S. Debit card, being Canadian I paid by money order. This seems very dated and was inconvenient, you may consider other methods for the balance ie , credit card or e-transfer. I've stayed in many rental homes and the was the first money order request. "

Unit was very clean and the kitchen supplies were more than adequate - the furniture was uncomfortable in the living room and especially the lanai-- wondering if a box of Kleenex shouldn't be included in the starter pack. On another note the children's pool was colder than the main pool. That was a disappointment"

"Accomodations were adequate but not spectacular.
While this unit looked nice on-line, its general physical appearance was somewhat dated. Bedroom bathroom fan was loud and irritating, bed was minimally adequate but not great, air-conditioner on times in 80 to +90 degree weather was a big humbug, and access door to beach equipment on lanai was locked but not secure. Kamaole Sands facilities were otherwise quite nice. "

"Average and in need of simple updates
We stayed for 9 nights. Very happy with location and the condo was clean. The condo is in need of a few inexpensive updates to make the stay a bit more comfortable. The TV in bedroom we think the picture tube is going out, and had to turn it off and on several times. Hair dyer & ironing board are broken. Condo only provides 2 beach towels. When doing activities every day a couple more would be nice. All the beach chairs are torn and we were really to scared to use thinking we break them. Last day the control knob on washer broke and could get our last load on clothes cleaned. Also bugs are a huge problem this year. I do not think this is a condo owner problem but a Condo association issue. Each morning and night we had to spray counters and always killing bugs. Even were in dish washer. We have stayed at Kam Sands several times and never had a problem this bad. We had friends staying in BLDG 4 and they had same issue with bugs. "

"Fantastic Condo and the BEST location ever!
We will return to Kamaole Sands again. The condo was cozy and clean with everything one could need for a 'at home feel' and a great stay. The unit is ground level - a few steps from the pool & jacuzzi's and outdoor shower, our assigned parking stall was 30 seconds from the front door, the BBQ area was a 1 minute walk from the front door - it was beautiful, well stocked and far exceeded our expectations. Kamaole Sands itself was more of a resort than a condo complex which was a pleasant surprise. It has a concierge where one can book all their activities, there's an internet cafe at the front office, the staff were friendly & helpful, the grounds and gardens are impeccable - the fitness room was nice, there's a juice & smoothie bar beside the pool - this is a first class property. We could not be more impressed. The reservation process was a bit painful - there are far too many staff members assigned to one person's reservation process so my emails (when they bothered to respond to them, that is) were always sent by different people and the result was mass confusion as to whether they received our money on time and / or what to expect when we arrived at the condo. The staff at the resort was astounding, but the staff at Maui Rentals was not great - even offensive in how they responded to me. I would have given the management company a lower rating except for one girl who was more than helpful & kind when I finally called after waiting a week for an email from them. I had never been to Maui before and was soooo relieved when we arrived to learn that everybody was super friendly and the management company's unfriendliness was the exception, not the rule! "

"Great vacation home
We really enjoyed our time in Maui and this condo was a great home base. It was huge for 2 people! The location was great, right across from the beach and walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Kihei as well as Wailea (since it is on the very south end of Kihei). We really enjoyed being on the ground level and eating on the lovely lanai. Hopefully we'll be back!"

"Dated but Comfortable
Overall condo was fine but is needing upgrades. Older TV, one element on stove didn't work, rugs and upholstery in need of cleaning. Bathroom fans and air conditioners need cleaning and maintenance. Lots of kitchen tools etc. but many dishes were chipped and cracked.
Owner of condo was very helpful and friendly in supplying password so we could use the wireless internate. "

"Great place; unprofessional booking agent
Kamalole Sands is a great property, ideally situated, with excellent amenities. I have zero complaints about the suite we booked: #6-108. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of gear (snorkels and fins, sun umbrella, etc.) to enhance our stay both on and off the property. Kathy, the booking agent from Coldwell Banker created some unnecessary hassle and stress for us on check-out day. Checkout was at 11 am and we dutifully returned from a beach jaunt, bags already packed in the condo, to find that the code on the keypad had been automatically reset: we were locked out and yet, by our watches, it was only 11:04 a.m. There was zero grace period. We spent the next two hours, along with on-site Kamaole staff (who don't take care of this specific condo but went above and beyond to assist us, and who were friendly and supportive in the process), trying to call Kathy on her office phone number and emergency number. She was unreachable and never returned messages left with her, explaining the situation. Thankfully, the on-site property manager was able, through a variety of efforts, to finally unlock the door so that we could gather our belongings. We never ever did hear from Kathy, whether to offer some explanation or apology for the inconvenience. (Further, on day one or two, we called Kathy to find out how to access the in-suite safe because a key hadn't been left with us. She never returned our call.)

It appears that once the credit card cleared and the money was paid, Kathy washed her hands of us. So, I would recommend this property but not this particular condo solely because of the agent."

The only problem we had with this rental is the bed was to firm for us. Other then that we had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again. lol... we will bring a foamy for the bed."
