CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel more than 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date (60 days prior to arrival for monthly rentals), the reservation downpayment will be returned, minus a $100 cancellation fee. For example, if a $300 downpayment was paid, you will receive $200 dollars back.

If you cancel within 45 days of arrival (60 days prior to arrival for monthly rentals), there will be no refund unless we are able to re-rent the property for some or all of the time you committed to and refunds may be less than the actual revenue paid. We apologize, but properties are hard to re-rent, as many people make bookings far in advance.

For reservations made within 45 days of arrival (60 days prior to arrival for monthly rentals), payment is due in full at time of booking in order to confirm the reservation, and the cancellation policy as stated above will apply. A cancellation becomes effective from the date that it is received in writing, fax or e-mail.

"Excellent Location
Excellent location. We arrived early evening after a full day of flying had a delay in our check in. Once in condo it was nice. Clean and well equipped but dated. We also had another condo in the same building which was much more comfortable and updated so we ate and spent most of our time there. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Overall if a few improvements were done it would be a prefect option. Location and view are beautiful. "

It was a cute little condo. The problems we found were the bed was very uncomfortably. The couch bed was very comfortable. The sound proofing was nonexistent and the wind would whistle through the condo and was very loud. We weren't allow to turn down the air any farther then 70 degrees but the temp in the condo never got down to 70. It was a constant 75 degrees. Which was to hot for all of us."

"Well-located condo for 2 people with views of beach
My friend and I really enjoyed staying at this property. The location was excellent; the condo was really clean and very well-equipped with everything we needed while on vacation. The people we dealt with were all friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. I loved the fact there was a view of the ocean, even though it was a couple of blocks off the beach. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay there next time I visit Waikiki.

"Waikiki for a song
Kani ka pila happen twice a week on Waikiki Beach. You can see this same beach from the lanai but you’ll have to walk 5 mins down the street to strum your uke and join the jam session of an evening. Swimming is very safe in this area.
The view from the lanai is awesome! You can watch the surfers as you enjoy your beverage. The kitchen is small but I cooked Thansgiving dinner there. The beds are pretty good and linens are plentiful. I was worried because I have a bad back, but I slept well on the pullout. Concerns re TV and cooking utensils were dealt with immediately. The only annoying thing was the high pitched whistle from the ill fittings doors, when the winds were blowing hard. Management efforts didn’t do the trick. My husband managed to fix it.
The unit could benefit from timed switches on the bathroom and shower fans. It would save energy, and allow you to leave the unit with the fan running, knowing it would shut off automatically. Unit could use a thorough cleaning. Surfaces were great but Lots of bits under the couch and bed from previous tenants. Pots were stuffed in cupboards with lots of grease on the bottom too. A scrub pad available would have helped. Who wants to buy SOS pads and clean up someone else’s mess?"

"Waikiki apartment
Lovely well maintained apartment only short walk to beach, shops & bus stop.Enjoyed breakfast on balcony with view of Waikiki beach. Head of security was very helpful with tuning in TV. All staff very friendly. Really appreciated the early check in we were able to have as we contacted the property manager as soon as we arrived at the airport. Would have appreciated a couple of brochures/street map about attractions & how to get there.Otherwise a most enjoyable stay.Highly recommended."

This was our 2nd stay in the building (1st time was a different unit). Prime location, you can easily walk to all of Waikiki's attractions. Loved the views from the lanai. Kitchen area is very small but adequate for preparing light meals."

"Another Good Rental at Waikiki Heights
We have stayed in various condos in Waikiki Heights throughout the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. The location is close to Waikiki Beach, downtown Waikiki for shopping, restaurants, groceries, farmers markets, etc. The condos have always been clean, well-equipped and the view is great. "Clean and close to everything with all amenities
Bus stop just 1 minute walk outside of the condo takes you to everywhere (shopping centre, zoo...etc). Close walk to the beach. The apartment comes with everything required (an over abundance of towels, toilet paper, tissues...etc). The room at the back was quiet enough with only random noises from other tenants on the floor when they're waiting for the lift.

Only one small comment was that we were told to get the security guy downstairs to call the property mgr to let us in when we arrived. The guy had no idea and didn't really want to do it, so we ended up wasting around 15mins before he would call and then another 5-10mins before she came down.

Would definitely stay here again."

"Fantastic Holiday in Waikiki
In November 2014 we stayed in a one bedroom condo at Waikiki Park Heights, a large building in Waikiki, close to the beach. We were very satisfied with the location, close enough to the beach and we could see the water of the Ocean from our spacious balcony. The unit had a new kitchen and bath room and everything that we needed to make a meal was there. We liked the layout of the rooms, and the bedroom was toward the back of the unit, so the street noise did not disturb us in the morning. We also liked the central air conditioning, as we did not have extra noise. Everything in the unit was clean and well maintained and towels and even beach towels were there. The whole building was clean and well maintained, and the security employees very friendly. From here we had only a few minute walk to the beach, and we found stores and restaurants close by. There was the Pantry for food and a quick meal,or Stores in Kings Village where they also had a Farmers Marked twice a week. We hiked a few times to the top of Diamond Head and enjoyed our stay in Waikiki very much. We recommend this property wholeheartedly to friends and others. Dietrich and Ute Klaue"

"Excessive wind noise
Weatherstripping on door and window badly needs to be replaced. The wind noise each night inhibited sleep. We had to stuff newspaper between the door and frame to reduce the shrieking sound of the wind. Not acceptable at all.
There were termites in the bedroom which were removed during our stay.
Kitchen was barely useable. No food prep area. Sink was too small to wash dishes."

"EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT
We stayed in apartment #1511. It was a slightly older unit and thats we scored it 4 out of 5 stars. The unit was great, as we stayed nearby last time. The views were spectacular everyday and the staff were fantastic. Security guards are always there to help (24hrs) but never needed...Hawaii is just a family safe area. Walking distance to the Zoo and Waikiki beach and just about everything else.Fantastic amenities are provided from Boogie boards, snorkels and even everyday spices in the kitchen, they've just thought about everything, plates , cups bowls, cutlery etc..... The pool is just the best, Secure and CLEAN..The bedroom was spacious with lost of storage and 2 tv's doesnt hurt. We will definately be back to stay. But it does need to provide internet as our freinds staying with us had it in #1206. And for a couple of dollars extra i would stay in a different unit ...it makes all the difference when you need to book your activities.THANK you for a wonderful holiday."

"The condo was clean and had a beautiful panoramic view of Waikiki Beach and the Diamond Head.
The down side of renting the condo is that no refunds for the first night although I stayed there for six nights. I booked the condo for seven nights but due to my plane cancellation I was delayed for one day to get to Honolulu. "

"Holiday in Paradise
The only small negative I would provide was that the bed was extremely hard otherwise the unit and Barbara was excellent along with the security staff who were always very helpful. When we had a minor issue with the toilet Barabra arranged to get it fixed
quickly. I would recommend this unit and its location to any fellow travelers. You are located only 2 blocks from the beach and close to the main business strip and eateries."

"Should there be a set of standards to expect when renting from Captain Cook?
I doubt this comment will ever reach the public but, here goes. Maybe I will hear from Captain Cook.
The rent has gone up from $1,800/mo to $3,000/mo since our representative joined Captain Cook. We pay $155 for cleaning (we buy all the cleaning supplies for our own use),and have to buy an insurance policy for $45 in case of any damage. In the last 6 yrs. there have been no upgrades to the furniture, same sheets (with holes in them),terrible cutlery(until I bought new),old towels,well used pots& pans,hasn't been painted except for the old original kitchen cupboards,we buy new bed pillows every year, sofa & pillows are not clean, dirty oven,two cheap plastic chairs and rusty table for lani(deck)furniture, old mismatched lamps (there was only one in the bedroom, our rep gave us an old one from her apartment),etc. The TV in the bedroom is small,fuzzy and so old the color is either green or brown. This place needs a good cleaning(walls washed). When we asked about upgrades, we were told the owner doesn't want to spend any money. If we hadn't found bed bugs last year, the old bed that rolled to the middle would still be there. I feel that Captain Cook should set some standards for their rentals so we know what to expect. Cleanliness, decent sheets and towels, bed lamps etc. Is this too much to expect? If your staying for a week or two these things might not bother you. We stay for two months and after awhile all these things do become an issue. Like sitting on a hard sofa etc. etc. I'm told I'm getting what I pay for, yet friends are staying in a completely remodelled room, all new furniture and paying the same as us. Their room made you feel like you were on a holiday, not trying to make do. "

"I did not have a good vacation! The room was very dated (old) I did not think much of being approached by ladies of the night on the street!!
I did not like the fact that I would have to wash my towels myself!
I did think it was a good location. BuT IT was a dissapointing time probably the worst time I ever had!!!
And I left early I asked for a pacial refund and I did not get one!!!"

"Great location
We stayed in 1511 at the Waikiki Park Heights. We had a great condo. great view. We went to the pool everyday and it was nice and clean and not busy at all. The only issue I have is that some of the condo's were doing reno's and they started at 7am instead of 8am when there were suppose to. Also on the 2nd day whenever we went into the toilet area - which is separate from the vanity and shower and had its own door, it smelled like sewer. We scrubbed the toilet but it always came back. slight smell but you smell it - that was the only issue. other than that we had a great condo and would go back."
