"Great Beach Location
Our vacation to Indian Shores/Rocks was amazing. Sand Castle II is in a very quite and convenient location. The beach is steps away. Ground at this condo are well maintained and the pool area is great. Florida Lyfestyles was great to work with. The kitchen in the condo was wonderful and the unit was clean. The balcony was large and provide a perfect place to watch sunset and dolphins playing in the water. The bedrooms are satisfactory but need new blinds. Anyone from across the street at Caddy's can see into the unit since part of the blind was missing. Nothing prevents the parking lot lights from shining in all night. It was great to have a washer and dryer in unit! I would stay again. "

"Sandcastle ll Unit 2506. DON’T DO IT!
The view from the balcony is beautiful, however, that is the only positive aspect of this unit.
This unit is dirty and dated. It is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and an overhaul. The floors were filthy and the baseboards are battered and have not been cleaned in a long time. The counters in the kitchen had crumbs and dirt on them, cupboards had food stains on them and the fridge and dishwasher were not wiped on the outside. We started our vacation by buying cleaning products and cleaning floors/kitchen. Dining chairs were hard and uncomfortable, one had a broken leg. Balcony furniture is very old and broken or falling apart. The loungers were so dirty no one would sit on them.
Other issues: Pillows were yellow and disgusting (we bought new pillows) the dryer did not work properly, toilets were poor quality and did not flush properly, the building front entrance is never locked. Anyone could have access to the elevators and the units.
There are not enough chairs at the pool and the chair saving went on everyday. Some days no one even sat in those saved chairs.
This is a pure definition of an over-used, over-priced rental!"

"Location good, condo shows wear and tear
Pros - Location, view, comfortable beds, updated kitchen, comfortable sectional.
Cons - although updated some areas, walls, baseboards, windows (paint chipping off frame, etc. showed a lot of wear and tear, clean, but old ground in dirt in corners and around doors/windows, LR slider wobbled when opening and paint chipping off, refrigerator door broken, burn in BR shade and blanket, plugs fell out of a lot of the plugs, front door and lock rusty, burnt-out hall light to name a few things. Seems odd to put money into some of the areas, but completely ignoring others."

"Nice rental
Needs some TLC. Slider is off the track and very difficult to open. Blinds are missing or broken. Cooktop light doesn't work. Missed an overhead light for the dining table. The wrap around deck with two loungers was very nice."

"Beautiful View
We had a great time at Sand Castle II. This condo was an end unit so the breeze on the balcony was great. The beach and weather was also perfect this year (no red tide). Everything in the condo worked and we didn't have to call anyone for anything to be repaired. Everything we needed for our vacation was included in the condo. I would rent this condo again."

"Great Week at the Beach
The condo was just as described. The decor is a little dated but it's not an issue since we spent most of out time at the beach and exploring the beautiful area. I highly recommend fixing the glass door to the balcony from the main room. It is extremely hard to open and loud. Other than that, the condo was clean and comfortable. "

Good layout but very dirty. We couldn’t walk around without getting our feet black. The corners need attention too. The maintenance guy was good. Disappointed that beach towels were not provided. Tv controllers were missing batteries. DVD didn’t work. No cleaning products to freshen up the sinks and baths. We even had to request a broom."

"Beautiful view
Overall we had a great week at Sand Castle II- unit 2506. The location and view can't be beat! The kitchen has been nicely updated and we had all the utensils, equipment we needed. There were a few items that could have been better. We had no tv or internet when we arrived. We figured out the 9 remotes after the first day so the tv worked but the internet did not work until Tuesday when the office figured out they had given us the wrong id/password. The unit was clean except for the floors. Our socks were black after only a couple of hours so we mopped the floors ourselves. The patio door was difficult to impossible to open. The men were the only ones that were strong enough to push it open/closed. "

"Great Location
The owner sold unit after we had originally booked but we were able to continue with rental. We had a great time in a great location. Once we figured out the wifi info was incorrect all was good. Unit could use some updating and a thorough cleaning, could also use an exterminator to deal with an ant problem, plus additional wash cloths wouldn't hurt either (6 people, 6 wash cloths). After hours check-in went well and check out was simple, very little interaction with the lady at office. This unit suited our needs."

"November birthday vacation
We rented 2 units in the Sand Castle 2 building for myself, my husband, our children and our grandchildren. We celebrated 4 birthdays throughout the week. We had a fabulous time! Both units were great! The pool area was nice and so was the beach. Indian Shores has a lot to offer. We had fun catching the trolly right outside our complex. We are coming back next November!"

"Ok place with a good view and a nice beach
Major complaint: the dryer took several cycles to dry clothes. There were not any rugs at inside any of doors so each time you went on the balcony, you brought sand in. The lady at the company was rude upon check in as well as check out. The alarm system was faulty. We were awoken at 3:30am and evacuated then again at 7:30am for a faulty alarm while the 10th floor alarm didn’t work at all. "

"Beach Front Condo
We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We loved the views, pool and hot tub. We loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies. There where three things that we think need to be addressed. The door walls are very old and hard to open and close at times, the mattresses need to be replaced and the additional fans need to be cleaned. Over all I would recommend family and friends to stay at the unit. "

"Family Vacation
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. Beautiful view from the corner unit. We purchased two beach umbrellas and left them at the unit for others to enjoy. I would most definitely recommend this condo and location. The owners were wonderful to work with when we had to cancel last year due to COVID-19 situation. "

"Indian Shores is a Little piece of Heaven
The fully stocked and upgraded kitchen was great and the view from unit is fabulous. Having two bathrooms was great. Living room couch is not the most comfortable but the dining table is large and lovely. The beds are on the firmer/harder side. The balcony furniture is pretty outdated and one of the two loungers was badly stained and they could use more chairs out there – it is a large balcony and great for breakfast and lunch while enjoying the ocean view.
The location is great with Caddy’s across the street and many restaurants on Gulf Blvd to choose from. Grocery shopping was only a few miles away and we found a great place for fresh bagels (St. Pete’s Bagel Company) in Largo. Always love going to John’s Pass a few miles down the road and Clearwater is very close as well.
Overall, a good trip!

"Great place, helpful people, but wasn’t cleaned
We loved the setup of the room, loved the view and balcony, but when we arrived, the door was wide open and the AC was not working. There was sand all over the floor, kitchen counter and dining table so it appeared that it wasn’t cleaned. When I called the office, they said it was mopped and cleaned but if it was, they were not thorough at all. They were great about sending someone out right away to get the air fixed, but it took longer than it should have because one of the doors to handler was locked and they didn’t have a key.
But even after all that, we still had a great vacation and loved the room. "

"Nothing short of AMAZING!
My husband and I decided to take our children on our first family vacation and this condo was nothing short of AMAZING! This location was perfect! It is just a short drive away from any attractions you would like to do. Shopping was very close. The view was BREATHTAKING!! We could have stayed on the balcony and just have been happy! The beach was everything we wanted and the kids were so happy. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back. My kids cried when we left because they just wanted to stay. Five Stars hands down "

"Beautiful view
We visited for the beach and it delivered, our condo was a very nice place to stay. I appreciated the owner provided beach chairs as the chair rentals were kind of out hand to rent for the week. I would definatly suggest a stay here.

"Enjoyable beach vacation!
What a wonderful 3 BR condo on the Gulf! The condo is clean and comfortable and an unusual 3 BR! We had trouble with the dishwasher but it may have been user error because it was relatively new. The dryer is old and frustratingly took 3 cycles to get things to dry. The balcony furniture was also a little disappointing, but everything else was great! Getting the key was easy, the pool was clean and fun for the kids and the location in Indian Shores was awesome! I've already recommended this unit to a friend."

"2 week stay
Stayed at sandcastle 2 for 2 weeks still not enough time. Enjoyed the sunsets and walking the beach looking for sea shells. Seeing dolphins and boats. Would have like to hit up the hot tub but after seeing kids under 13 in it why would u want to go in. Saw one baby in a swim diaper go in there. I like how there are signs up but parents can't read or dont care. Must be the new kiddy pool. Lol. I like to see more management on duty more control over the policy. Trespasses coming from the caddys pub to access the beach for a picture of the sunset. "

It is a great unit in a nice area. Very comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is beautiful. The only things that could improve the stay is a new coffee pot (took a hour to brew) and to check the dryer that takes forever to dry things."

Overall we had a great time. Having said that there were a few things that could definitely be changed. The major issue we had was the quality of the mattresses. There wasn’t one night when we got a good full night sleep due to tossing and turning on the bed trying to get comfortable. There was a one inch pad provided in the master bedroom that still was not enough. There were other small issues but nothing that couldn’t be looked over for a short time we were there. Other than those things the condo is in a great location close to many restaurants and convenience stores. We have stayed in Indian rocks beach area before and we will again the area is great. "

"Super clean and well maintained.
This was our second year staying in one of the Sand Castle buildings. Once again we had an amazing week. We are a family of 4 with two young kids and being so close to the beach is the best! This particular unit was very clean, everything worked well and well maintained. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes/utensils/pots etc. Washing machine and dryer worked well. AC worked perfectly."

"Gorgeous Gulf View
We just spent two weeks at Sand Castle II in Indian Shores and had a wonderful time. The condo was exceptional with everything you could ever need for cooking a meal. We mostly took advantage of the many nearby restaurants. Caddy’s Pub is just across the street and the trolley stop is right out front. There’s a washer and dryer right in the condo and we did have to wash towels and washclothes frequently."

The property was great in terms of location in a quieter part of the gulfyet easy drive to more lively parts. Also, the condo was very nice with a well stocked kitchen, roomy master and sufficient sized bedroom 2 and ok bedroom 3. The view was excellent. The building itself seems old and rather dull but the condo unit is pretty much up date. There were some issues with the tv’s and support was provided. "

"Great condo with amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico
We spent a week in this great condo, facing the Gulf of Mexico. Theview was amazing, we enjoyed having all our meals on the balcony, with incredible sunsets everynight. The beach is nice too, white sand and not too much wave. The water was so warm!
The Sand Castle II is a big complex, with lots of condos rented, so the beach and the pool weretoo crowded for us. People leaving stuff on the beach, putting music during the day, kids in the jacuzzi... not very relaxing! That was one of the downside of this rental.
Also, we ran into a few issues (missing corkscrew, tv and DVD player in the living room not working) but all those problems were fixed by the agency in a timely manner. The condo is great for a large family since it has 3 bedrooms, but the bathrooms are quite small. Also, the condo could use a good cleanup and could be modernized (old furniture). The AC in one of the bedroom is so minimal it feels like it's not working. "

The property was great. This is the second time we've stayed in this property and specifically chose it this time from past experience. The kitchen was well equipped, rooms adequately furnished, sitting area had a nice couch and LCD TVs in all rooms. The ice dispenser needs a more through cleaning as there was signs of moulds on the external part. We had a great 2 weeks here "

"Perfect for families
Communication with office and the owner was great. Condo is well maintained, you can see owners have invested in lots of updates over the years. The condo was well cleaned with fresh linens upon our arrival. There were a few dusty areas like vents which I had to wipe myself.

"Somewhat disappointing
When we arrived we noticed some issues that dealt with cleaning as well as items in need of repair. We contacted the owners who forwarded our list to FL Lifestyle and in their defense they tried to correct three out of several problems during our stay. We paid extra to stay in a unit with a washer/dryer, and an entire week+ went by before they sent someone to "fix" the dryer, but it didn't help that much. The dryer would take up to 90 minutes to dry a few items. The refrigerator's ice maker wasn't working and that also required repair during our stay. In addition, a threshold between the dining room and living room was so loose you could pick up the entire thing. FL Lifestyle sent a repairman but after he repaired it, it did the same thing. There was a lot of dust in the unit, kitchen and bath cabinets were delaminating, refrigerator door was rusting, glass cabinets were fingerprinted, oven was dirty, cooktop was dirty, etc. decorations needed sorely updating; silk plants dirty and worn.
the unit certainly had potential to be upscale, but was in need of someTLC. I would recommend this property if these items were taken care of. "

The property was in an awesome location. Good bar/restaurant across the street and close enough to Clearwater and Johns Pass. A little crowded when we went this time, but it is Florida. If we had a maintenance issue, it was promptly attended to by the maintenance company.

The vacation was good but the unit was sub par compared to some of the one's we have had. It appeared dusty on arrival, it was not stocked well, the beds were terrible and the flooring was done efficiently. The view was fantastic and the balcony is spacious, but had a broken chair on it. Overall, the vacation was good but the unit was not our favorite."

"Great view
The location is perfect. Lots of restaurants, places to visit, and shopping. Close to John Pass where we shopped and rented jet skies. Lots of fun! Tropical Storm Colin went through. The condo was very nice. It has three bedrooms and each one is decorated nicely. Beach towels were provided along with a beach umbrella. The pool was very crowed so we were not able to use it . Many families standing around in groups. It seemed like someone's backyard pool party. Sand castle I was quieter and not as rowdy."

"Ideal beachfront location, beautiful wraparound porch views
My family and I had a wonderful vacation, we loved the location and sitting out on the large porch in the mornings and evenings. The recently updated bathrooms were also very nice (with the exception of the height of the track for the shower door in the master which I scraped my head on, at 6'1", several times before I remembered to duck when stepping out). Everything inside was very nice and clean. One small issue was with the dvd/vcr combo in the living area - I got a Redbox, but it wouldn't play on the DVD player - not sure if it needs a software update or is just broken, but an easy fix and a very minor inconvenience in what was just a perfect vacation week for us with the weather and crowds that weren't bad at all for a holiday week."

"Middle aged frat boys with unsupervised adolesence children
This was the 3rd time we stayed at these condos, this time was a nightmare. Arrived at the condo to find dirty hair covered bar of soap left in M/B shower, my son found a dirty drinking glass under his bed. One of the closet doors to the laundry was hanging off, tried to fix it but no tools. A large group of middle aged adults who let their children run wild, skateboarding around the pool and bouncing a ball off the side of the condo under one of our bedroom windows. Apparently rented on condo for themselves and another condo in Sand Castle III for the kids as the kids were running back and forth from condo to condo. They would not rinse off their feet after the beach and would then sit in the hot tub so the hot tub was out of service until the repair man could come and fix it. Elevators didn't work, one gentleman got stuck and had to call his wife for help. Amplified music from condo under us. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation not the place to stay. If you are looking for a place were all the rules are made to be broken go for it. "

"The Perfect Family Vacation
We had a wonderful experince, the condo was more then we could have hoped for, three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen, the view from the balcony was breath taking, and the rap around view of the inter coastal waters was perfect. This unit is suitable for all ages, my grand children played on the beach all day and loved swimming in the Gulf and in the pool. The property was very clean and well looked after every day with pool area was cleaned and the decks and chairs were washed. The condo is located close to everything, The Pub right across the road has excellent food and is suitable for children. There is a rental shop close where you can rent boats, bikes, etc. I would recommend this condo to all ages and love the end units with the rap around balcony. "

"Escape from New York Winter
We have been coming to this condo for seven years, primarily for the fabulous view of the Gulf. The place is clean with a well equipped kitchen. Florida Lifestyle makes reservations and check in and out very easy for us. The neighborhood has an abundance of great restaurants. On rainy days we enjoy the many fine museums in downtown St. Petersburg."

"A Great Vacation Rental
From the ease of booking, to the ease of check-in and the ease of check-out, everything about the rental experience was positive. The unit (2506) is well maintained, well equipped and offers enough space to enjoy family time and privacy when needed. The gulf front balcony wraps around the north end of the unit and affords spectacular views of the gulf, the beach and gorgeous sunsets. The water pressure in the master bathroom was awesome. Of note, the master bed mattress is very firm and the dryer usually took two cycles to dry a medium-sized load of laundry. Overall, the unit looks just like it does in the photos and the location is very convenient and easily accessible. We ended our 10-day vacation feeling relaxed and rested."

Everything about the condo was great.
The problem I had was with a man at the rental office. I was told over the phone that I could come and check in and then pick keys up at 3pm if not before if room was clean. This man comes outside where a number of people were waiting and proceeds to basically call us a liar and not to come back until 3. I will be bringing this to the owners attention."

Location was lovely.
Dryer Lint Filter was not cleaned, lint was built-up in receptacle - Definite Fire Hazzard.
Master Bedroom mattress needs to be replaced.
Verticles on slider were falling apart. Reported to office.
Unit maintenance should be more detailed, much sand on floor by the A/C unit.
Building Maintenance is deplorable with much litter and dirt in the walkways.
Guest Parking is not monitored, noticed many cars parked for the day with no GUEST TAGS.
Left a week early due to an emergency, Office staff was not even concerned as to why we were leaving.

"Highly Recommend!
We were overall happy with our stay at 2506. The condo was large enough to accommodate our group. The location was perfect, with The Pub directly across the street for many meals and relaxing for drinks. The beach is beautiful, and relaxing to listen to while lying in bed in the morning. We had a very busy agenda and weren't around as much as I would have liked. The kitchen is very pretty and I wish we had been there more to use it. Water pressure was GREAT. One thing I would tell other renters is to be prepared to supply everything. We have rented many places on the beach that came stocked and you replaced what you used in regards to supplies - toilet, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, etc. We had to get back out the very next morning to stock up. Since there was nothing left behind we are assuming the cleaning staff takes it all home. I took as much home as I could! This needs to be indicated on the website but you don't know it til you get the check in sheet from the agency. The condo was pretty clean, a little dusty, no big deal. The pool was nice. Overall, you can't beat the price and the location for hitting all the places St. Pete Beach area has to offer. Tons of easy shopping just over the bridge. October is a great time to go to Florida! Stock up on beer and liquor from a store down by St. Pete Beach...the local stores are SUPER expensive!

"Perfect Vacation Spot
This is the second time I have rented Sand Castle 2506 for a relaxing beach vacation with my wife, my grown children and my grandson. Although I needed no encouragement to reserve this unit for a second time I had little choice because my family pleaded with me to go tot the same condo this year.
Fond memories of our first stay created a bond that made us all feel at home in that place. This unit stand apart for us because of the wrap-around balcony, the 5th floor views and the clean and comfortable furnishings.
Even though we are quite familiar with the Gulf coast from St. Pete to Clearwater, we love the Indian Shores area most. Having the beach right outside your back door is only the beginning. The fact that this spot provides the ability to walk across the street to The Pub for meals or drinks is great as is the convenience of the boat and scooter rental next door to The Pub. The location of Sand Castle 2506 could not be better.
As I approach retirement I know I will be spending more time in the area and intend to bring my family to 2506 Sand Castle for future vacation fun. I know my family will give me no other choice!

"Canadian vacationers
I would just like to say the vacation was great. The location of the unit was ideal. You could sit on the balcony and watch the dolphins in the morning and just before dusk. The unit was great and fit our needs just perfectly. The building itself while clean is a bit tired needs a little updating.neould definitly go back to this unit!"

"Sand Castle 2506
We love coming to our condo and look forward to coming again next year. A couple of suggestions -the mattress in the first bedroom (the one with the double bed) is very very hard and would like to see a pillow top on the bed to make it more comfortable to sleep on. Also that bedroom gets a little stuffy and would benefit from a ceiling fan or a portable fan on the nightstand. The blinds could be replaced in all the bedrooms as there are slats missing in some and the light shines through or doesn't close all the way. The king size bed would benefit from a pillow top on the mattress as it is also a little on the hard side."

"Our winter escape
The view from this condo is fabulous. The kitchen is well equipped. With four TVs and free wifi, all our guests were comfortable. The staff from Florida Lifestyle was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were quick and easy. We have been coming here for five years and hope to continue renting here into the future."

The only blip was the dish washer only being available for the last 2 days and the rental company not taking an issue with the doors to the balcony seriously at first. "

"Beachy Feel
Nice unit it has updated baths, master bedroom. Guest bedrooms need new flooring. Great corner unit view . Nice sectional leather couch accommodates a lot of guests. However a little more attention to detail when being cleaned. I spent a few hours wiping down splattered kitchen cabinets & walls. Inside of trash cabinet had a lot of trash on floor a d even a dirty old diaper. How do you miss that?? Housekeeping issues !! Love to return next year & see unit fully updated !! "

Condo in good location, new TV's, nice sofa, bathrooms small but updated, nice kitchen, some new furniture in bedrooms but mattresses were very hard and we would prefer new comfortable mattresses with old furniture. Also sliding door to balcony very hard to open and close. We come to this area every year and would not rent this condo again unless mattresses were replaced. "

Nice Condo- Did not like that there were no paper products- No dish soap/dishwasher soap. Was asked to wash dishes before we left- I was on vacation- and had paid for cleaning service. 1 towel per person for a week. 1 bath mat for 2 bathrooms. Beds need to be replaced, at the very least the mattresses, they are very hard and worn out. Blender didnt work, what a bummer as we bought smoothie wines at St Johns Pass and couldnt enjoy them, there was a spare one in the cupboard but that too was broken (looked like a manufacturing defect. Light is burnt out in master bath. Door lock was hard to open from inside, so we only used the deadbolt. We survived Tropical Storm Debby, but the first 4 days were ******. Need to have more games/things to do when weather is bad. We stayed at this unit last year and it has a great view of the beach and had a great time this time not so much! Went on a dolphin excursion which we only saw 5 dolphins and couldnt snorkel at all."

Overall we were pleased with the rental. Plenty of amenities, so many great restaurants close to the condo. The beaches and pool area were great--so clean and well-kept. Our only criticism would be that all the beds were pretty uncomfortable. "

When we arrived we were a little disappointed. The furniture is outdated and the ceiling had peeling paint everywhere. It was not the "luxury condo". That was described. The place was not the cleanest either. The dishwasher did work well for us and the fridgeand washer and dryer worked just fine, there were two blenders, and neither one worked. When we arrived, most of the lightbulbs were out, but they did bring us new ones promptly. I would just have thought that would have been checked before our arrival. The location was great and the balcony was a perfect view. The bathrooms were updated and nice We were not unsatisfied, but it was definitely not as nice as I had thought from the online pictures. "

"review of Sand Castle 2506
Overall the condo was pleasant, but there were some aspects that I found could use some improvement. Specifically: the master bedroom sheets were of very poor quality (pilling) and therefore uncomfortable, the bedspread was dirty (bloodstains on it). The carpets in the bedrooms needed cleaning and it felt unpleasant to walk on them with bare feet. The clock in the MB did not work at all and there were no clocks in the other bedrooms. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes at all and we had to rewash them. It is a corner unit which is great, but the corner window was so dirty we could not see out of it and bought our own window cleaner so we could clean it ourselves. In the pool area the walkways to the beach need to be power washed as they are grimy and sticky. The pool was clean and so were the rest of the common areas. We travelled with 3 other families who stayed in other units in the building which were significantly better maintained. "

"May 2012 stay at Sand Castles 2506
Loved the location and the condo was spotless when we arrived. BUT...dishwasher didn't work the whole time we were there, blender didn't work, Air conditioning went out for a day (which they did repair) and washer wouldn't drain and no one ever contacted us after reporting it. It eventually drained on its own after over a day. But we couldn't use it after that. Just alot of "things" weren't in working order. Also our parking place was taken several days by work crews blasting out the front entry way and so they parked the "trash wagon" in our spot. Price was very good but we booked for next year at a higher rate but at a place we know keeps their condos in working order."

"April 2011 Vacation
We had a very nice time. The location was just what we were looking for with a short drive either north or south for additional activities. Biggest disappointment was that the blue lounge chairs in the photos were not included with the rental unit. Additionally, the rugs in the bedrooms have seen better days. It would have been nice to have a binder explaining who things worked (like what to do with our garabage) as well as local restuarantes and activities. "

"Unit needs maintenance and updating
This is a great location and beautiful beach. However, this unit needs a lot of attention. The wraparound balcony is great, but has minimal furniture which is old and the table is rusted. The dishwasher overflowed the first time we used it. Quick initial response from a repairman, but because a part had to be ordered, we were without it the rest of the week. The worst problem was the discomfort of the beds - most were terribly hard and uncomfortable. I slept on the sofa most of the week. In general, the unit needs maintenance - we couldn't read at night in the living room, as the one electrical outlet where a lamp could be plugged in didn't work. I expect all this will be attended to, as the management staff was very helpful and responsive. The reservation and check-out process is very smooth and accommodating."

I think some things should be taken care of in the condo the shower curtain especially was molded and gross. The only thing that concerned me was there was a water main broke and we never new exactly how close we were to it and never new about using the water I think it would have been nice to know or had an update to us about the situation.
