My vacation here was perfect! It wasn’t too crowded and it was peaceful. The condo was clean and had everything we needed and in a great location. It was a short walk to the beach and our view was beautiful from our balcony. I believe a mattress pad would be helpful for the bed, but it was fine. Overall, I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back! Oh, if you need anything from Walmart, make sure you stop before you get there."

This was our 3rd year at Daupine...our 2nd at the Inn!
Tim the Manager goes out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Jeff the maintenance man catered to our needs and even came the next day to make sure we "were ok" We love the property. Only complaint is we wished there were a table and chairs dining height on the deck so we could enjoy our meals outside! "

"Work trip
My trip was a work trip and I did not get to enjoy the normal vacation experience. The best part of my stay was the accommodations as the Condo was quiet and easy to rest. However, the worst part about our stay was the lack of support by the Condo staff. There are 3 beds in this rental two of which are bunk beds, and there were 3 of us staying in this unit. When the ladder broke for the top bunk one of us was then relegated to the couch. After being reported it was not fixed. There was also a broken chair in the dining area, so be careful those things might still be broken for the next guest!!"

"The Inn at Dauphin Island is a must stay location!!
I can’t express enough how impressed my family and I were with our condo rental at The Inn on Dauphin Island. Our unit was very clean and up to date and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools you need (glassware, utensils, pots and pans, etc.) to make your own meals. Access to the beach was easy with the well-constructed wooden walkway. And the two pools were very clean and well-maintained. Dauphin Island itself is a wonderful little town with very low traffic and congestion and multiple ‘mom and pop’ restaurants where you can get fantastic local seafood and pretty much anything else you can imagine. In a nutshell everything was wonderful and we are already planning our return trip to The Inn next year!!"

"Fantastic get-a-way!!
This was my husband's 1st trip to the Inn at Dauphin Island (my 2nd). He said he never wants to go anywhere else!! It was perfect! The condo was amazing, great view of the gorgeous beach, very well stocked with anything you need for cooking if that's your thing. Bed was very comfy, furniture nice. The staff at the front desk was great, very friendly! The best restaurant is Dock side/Pelican Pub. Great shrimp baskets and friendly staff. I would definitely give the Inn at Dauphin Island and the whole trip a thumbs up!!"

"Dauphin Island Getaway
Wonderful! We originally booked condo 412 for 4 nights. We had such a great time we asked if we could stay an additional 2 nights. The property staff were very friendly and accommodating and arrangements were made for us to check-out of 412 as originally arranged and check-in to 408 for 2 more nights - which we did. Overall stay was enjoyable. Views were amazing. Entire island is quiet, peaceful, laid back, and very family friendly. Unfortunately, Covid-related employment issues affected the island's restaurants just like everywhere else. We will definitely be back! "

"Condo and Staff was nice - policies and beach walk, not so much.
The condo was very nice. A little smaller than expected but the bed was good, the AC was great, and enough kitchen utensils to start a restaurant. It is a LONG WALK to the water. I measured over 300 yards. Carrying chairs and umbrellas and coolers was hared. There is no trash cans on the beach so you have to bag up your waste and carry it all the way back to the pool area. The clean up policy is extreme. Wash and dry your linens, run a wash of your towels and RUN and EMPTY the dishwasher before you leave. What is the service fee for? Who has time to pack up and get out by 10:00 and have time to run and put dishes up. Most places just want you to run the dishes. That raises a concern on how clean some dishes were as many may have been just rinsed. "

"A Little Disappointed
Because of the recent Covid scare, we thought we'd get away. The location was great. The beach was great. The view was great. Bringing most of our food and snacks with us, we cook A LOT. Inside the condo there were no measure spoons, there were no measuring cups, there was no whisk, not enough serving utensils, the ice machine barely worked, we had to constantly buy ice, the light in the freezer was out. We paid good money to stay during our vacation. The **** air conditioning never went below 74* - we ate our food and sweated, we took naps and sweated, we went to sleep at night after taking cold showers and sweated. Kept the curtains closed and sweated. Kept the ceiling fans running constantly and sweated. It was ridiculous and we were miserable."

Enjoyed the beautiful beach views on the balcony and the relative quiet of the island. This first trip to Dauphin Island did not disappoint. Unspoiled, quiet private beach meant it was easy to find a spot on the white sandy beach every day. The room was more than adequate for our needs with bunks and sleeper sofa for the kids While the master was perfect for adults. One and a half baths meant there was not a problem with multiple people in the condo. Fit 6 people perfectly. Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed (especially the coffee pot and blender) and having a washer/dryer in the unit at the beach is SO helpful! Renters Definitely Should feel comfortable renting this unit and enjoying a beautiful beach experience! "

We arrived on time and our key wasn’t in the lock box. We had to call the then wait for a call back emergency number then wait for a call back then after 45-60 later someone showed up and gave us our keys. Acted like it was no big deal. Came back down and found another family dealing with the same problem. Condo was good but the couch was very uncomfortable. "

We really loved the condo. It was a very good size with everything that you would need while on vacation. The only problem that we had was that the washer and dryer in the unit was not working and we arrived on Saturday and they didn't have a new washer and dryer delivered until Thursday. It would have been nice to have been able to do some laundry while we were there. There wasn't even a mention of any kind of discount made due to the amenity not working. Other than that we loved the condo and the location."

We loved Dauphin Island in general for the laid back, family friendly atmosphere. The condo was the most completely furnished place we’ve ever stayed. The pools were quiet when they were supposed to be + clean and warm. Food was good at each restaurant we visited. Aquarium was a treat as were the sunset and lighthouse cruises on The Duke! We will be back!!"

"First trip but definitely not our last
Our first experience on Dauphin Island was dubbed "The best vacation ever" by both kids (ages 16 and 7) before the end of day one. The slow pace and non commercial nature of the island was ideal. Our rental met our needs perfectly and only added to the calm. The fourth floor offers an amazing view while still keeping you moments from the beach which we visited several times a day. We saw many more animals than people on those visits. Definitely stop in Mobile for groceries, but otherwise this was the most stress-free vacation ever."

"wonderful getaway
We've been coming to the island now for 28 years. We have enjoyed each & every year.
Started in houses on the West end and over the years we have migrated to the condos.
We have come to "The Inn" for the past four years. If we didn't enjoy it we wouldn't return.
This year we had Tropical Storm Cindy to contend with, but we just sat on the balcony and watched her.
We have already made our reservations for next year and I am counting down the days.
Come and visit, you'll be back again and again."

"A "Just Chillin'" Trip
Decided to make a last minute trip to DI and relax and soak up some Beach/Island Time. Found Inn 408 and booked during Mardi Gras week. Very few folks (and fish caught!) around which provided lots of beach space. It was great. The Inn provides a short walk to the Beach and 2 pools just out the back door. Great place, location and view (except oil rigs-but oh "well"). Would definitely stay again! "

Our room, The Inn 408, was in great condition, clean, and right on the beach. The view was amazing! We loved the fully stocked kitchen because we were able to cook our own meals. Having two bathrooms was also a plus. The staff at The Inn were friendly and generous. We were staying there on our honeymoon, and they brought us a bottle of wine. The Inn has a great location close to restaurants and gift shops. Dauphin Island in general is a wonderful, peaceful place to visit. The Island has a relaxed atmosphere and, in October, isn't very crowded. We loved it! We'll be returning, and we'll be staying at The Inn! "

This condo was perfect for our family, nicely decorated, clean, great view and located on a part of the beach that felt like our own without any crowds. We actually had what seemed like miles of beach to enjoy with very few people. we charted a fishing boat went to Fort Gaines, Estuarium and ate at all of the restaurants on the island. Islanders restaurant was by far the best. "

"A Great Vacation Getaway
Our family enjoyed a week and enjoyed every minute.
The kids loved both swimming on the beach, and swimming in the pool.
The beach was nice and not over crowded. In the evening after the sun had set the kids enjoyed looking for crabs on the beach (bring along a flashlight! :-) )
Also highly recommend Skinners Seafood where you can order fresh seafood and they will even steam it for you right there if you wish.
The property managers were very nice and it was quick and easy to check in and out."

We just had a wonderful time. Wanted peace and quiet and we got it. There was just 2 in our party. Our unit slept 6, but unless some were children, it would have been too crowded.Our distance was the shortest to the beach. A plus for us!!! "The perfect beach getaway
Both The Inn and Dauphin Island were a bit of a shot in the dark and we couldn't have been happier. Only a few hours after our arrival we were wishing that we had booked for longer. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. Everyone had space but we still felt like we were a family. They have some of the most beautiful beachfront that we have seen in the Gulf and far less crowded than FL can be even in the off season. The staff went above and beyond on several occasions to make our stay perfect. We had the relaxing feel of staying in a home with the perks of a rental. The gated parking lot added to an already safe feel. Many people live in The Inn and they pride themselves on making it a family friendly location. This is the perfect anti-PCB vacation. Don't look for go-carts or parasailing here. Shell collecting, fishing, and sunsets on the beach are some of the most exciting activities and that was exactly what we were looking for!"

This was our family's second time staying at the Inn at Dauphin Island. We first stayed in 2009 and fell in love with the place, so we decided to come back in 2015. The island is perfect for those who want away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our kids loved finding huge seashells and crab hunting. The condo was perfect. It was beautifully decorated and well maintained. The property management staff was very friendly and helpful. We love it here and will be back! "

"Quick Weekend Getaway!
This is the first time we have stayed on the island. It was a last minute trip and the condo just happened to have an opening. The booking staff were very helpful and professional. We loved the location and our stay. It would be nice for the property to build a new walkway down to the beach area. The current one is mostly covered in sand and hard to navigate while carrying your beach stuff and with little ones. Other than that and the many dishes in the cabinets not being clean we had no issues. The remainder of the unit was clean, comfortable and it was also well equipped. We enjoyed our stay! "

"A fun week for the kids in a second "home"
The unit we rented was our home away from home for a week. It was clean, functional, and equipped with all necessities for a vacation stay. The interior was appropriate for the beach theme of our vacation and the kids said that the bunk beds were very comfortable. The big bed was, too, but the pillows could need some cleaning. The view was outstanding from the 4th floor, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The two pools were clean and well maintained. We would rent this unit again for another stay at the Gulf."

Came here for our honeymoon just to get away to a nice quiet beach for awhile and do nothing after planning a wedding. The views were fantastic, although we weren't too excited to see the numerous oil rigs out in the distance. But the service was fantastic and my only real complaint was that the lock on our deadbolt was very sticky and difficult to lock/unlock. "

We came to Dauphin Island to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in late Sept. Just us, Thursday to Tuesday. Our 1 room condo was the perfect size, clean and all the amenities. When we were not on the beach, or out and about on the island, we were out on our 4th floor balcony, where we had a perfect view of the beach and the gulf. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with and questions. We were so satisfied that we decided to return in June 2014 to a two bedroom unit with grandchildren. Thank you all for a wonderful and beautiful experience. If you are looking for an affordable getaway without all the hoopla of the big getaway places... this is it! Absolutely Recommended!!"

Before our trip to DI we were told that there was nothing to do on the island. That suited us fine, but we found things to do. We sat on the beach, walked the beach, explored the town, ate locally,and took naps. What else do you do when you go to the beach?
Although the condo could use some serious cleaning, it was well appointed and comfortable. We will return and bring our family."

"Family Vacation
Great unit. Perfect location. We saw dolphins almost every day in the water. The unit was clean and bed was very comfortable. The view from the deck was fantastic. Staff at Inn were great, friendly and helpful. The pools were nice. We had a great time and would highly recommend Dauphin Island! The furniture was a little dated, but was nice that there were 2 chairs and a couch for our family. Would definitely recommend this unit and The Inn. Went for a boat ride on The Duke that was fun. Take a flashlight and hunt for crabs at night, the kids really enjoyed it! "

"Wonderful 7 at 408
Everything about the rental experience was smooth and just as stated in the agreement and on-line. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The Inn and the island are nice and quite--but plenty of activities to do other than the beach. Our deadbolt was difficult to unlock, and we let management know before we left. The condo was clean and very well supplied--everything we needed to stay for the week. One needed improvement: cleaning up the water just off of the boardwalk. It rained daily, and within a couple of days the area just beyond the boardwalk stood in knee-deep water about 20 feet out. You had to wade through "nasty" water to go out to the beach and again coming back to the condo. It seems that sand could be added to build up this area and alleviate this problem--it was just unpleasant--especially at night."
