It is easy to get to from area airports and is 30 minutes from Tampa International with Clearwater Beach to the north and St. Petersburg Beach to the south.
Short hike to John's Pass with its many restaurants. John's Pass offers charter fishing and wave runner rentals. There is also an old fashioned boardwalk with interesting shops.
Busch Gardens (30 minutes), Disney World (90 minutes)
