Rodd Mill River Resort
Rodd Mill River Resort is about a 20 minute drive from the Beach House. To get there, turn right onto Route 14 to Campbellton, turn left onto Route 145 to Bloomfield, right onto Route 2 and left at Route 136 to Mill River Resort.
This resort offers the Mill River Golf Course. This mature forest course is the discerning golfer's dream with 18 totally different memories for both the high and low handicap player. Wide rolling fairways, well bunkered greens, subtle elevation changes and numerous lakes and streams make each hole a new challenge and a pleasure to play. Whether the par 3, #3 along the river is to your liking or the entirely redesigned par 4, #18, the many enhancements add a new dimension to the Mill River golf experience. As can be expected you will need to use your entire game as you venture around this parkland setting. One of Prince Edward Island's most popular and affordable playgrounds. Miminegash Harbour Road is only five minutes away when you turn right out of the driveway. There you will find Tremblay's Store & Post Office and Deagle's Convenience & Gas Bar and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church
You can take a 25 minute drive to North Cape and visit their Gift Shop, Windmills, Boardwalk, or have lunch or dinner at the Wind & Reef Restaurant. Turn left onto Route 14 when you leave the driveway, turn left at Route 161 and then turn left on Route 12 to continue to North Cape.
Visit the bustling town of Tignish only 20 minutes from the Beach House. Here you will find Co-op Groceries, bakery, liquor store, Credit Union and check out Clohossey's vegetable stand on Route 14 just past Route 160 - Ascension Rd.
To get to Tignish, turn left onto Route 14 out of the driveway and proceed until you get to Route 160 where you will turn right. Then turn left onto Route 2 to Tignish.
Turn right onto Route 14 towards Campbellton, turn left on Route 145 which will take you to Bloomfield where you will find Foodland Groceries, Minh Wang Chinese Restaurant, KFC and Kent Building Supplies.
This town is another option is you are looking for a liquor store. It also has a bakery with eat-in service and a CIBC bank. Turn right onto Route 14 out of the driveway, take a left onto Route 152 to Intersection with Route 2 and continue on Route 152 to Alberton.
Summerside is the Islandâs second-largest city and has all the amenities youâd expect. Harbourfront Theatre attracts world-class entertainers and plays host to many great festivals and events. A lively boardwalk allows visitors to shop and dine beside the ocean and just down the way at the College of Piping, performers show off the Islandâs Celtic roots with energetic displays of dancing, piping and drumming.
