"It Seemed Like A Wonderful Dream!
My wife and our family (six in total) began looking several years ago at celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. She had been to the Bahamas as a teenager but I've never actually even been out of the country.
We used Google Maps and YouTube videos to scour the coastlines of every country. After two years we settled on the Island we felt had the best beaches, Eleuthera.
After deciding where to go we began our HUNT for the perfect place to stay. I can honestly say I scoured the Island for our PERFECT place. We definitely found it, The Beach House.
The Beach House was even better than the photos and French Leave Beach was stunningly beautiful. The water on French Leave is as clear as the water in The Beach House's pool. If you are looking for a pink sand beach we never saw another beach that was any more pink. Everything about the house and the beach was better than we could have wished for. There are no words to describe how happy we were with everything.
The owner, Michelle, sends a letter after you rent the house with directions and additional information (right down to a suggestion on renting a car). They are there to greet you and roll out the red carpet. She and her family are great. was very helpful throughout the whole process as well. We worked with Matt and the tips and advice he gave were spot on.
The Beach House is one minute from Governor's Harbour but seems totally isolated. The Buccaneer Club Restaurant (our favorite) was three minutes from the house and Tippy's was only three minutes in the other direction. The Beach House is also centrally located and was a great base for our journeys to both the northern and southern ends of the island.
The people of the island were incredibly welcoming and always friendly. We are from a small town and the island definitely has that vibe.

"We went to Heaven!
I started coming to Eleuthera in 1987 and have been trying to come back ever since. This is our family of 5 w/ 3 grown children, fourth trip and we will Never Stay Anywhere Else! We have found our home away from home @ The Beach House with the MOST wonderful host we have ever experienced in Michelle. There is no better location than French Leave Beach and this home makes you feel like you're in a movie. It has everything you could possibly need for your beach vacation. Well stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. AMPLE beach & bath towels. Every beach toy you can think of for adults, teens, & little ones. The covered beach shelter is amazing and a welcomed respite from the sun. We look forward to our next stay. Our only goal is to stay for 2 weeks this time."

"The Beach House Experience
The Beach House far exceeded our expectations. The online photos are accurate. The location was perfectly situated within steps of one of the most beautiful beaches on Eleuthera. The pool was perfect for a quick dip. The house was fully stocked with everything you would need. The owner, Michelle, was, by far, one of the most interesting and attentive individuals we have ever encountered in a rental property......bottled water and ice were always available. Any matters of concern were immediately addressed. Overall, our week was wonderful and we will definitely return. Eleuthera is a place of peace and quiet with some of the friendliest people we have ever met."

"Paradise
I cannot find more sophisticated words to describe how wonderful experience we had. The property is beautiful and beautifully located. Gazebo, house, beach... dreamy. Just wish there were smaller waves on the beach but that could have meant mosquitoes. You must stay there if you want to stay in paradise. "

"Wonderful house and location
Very professional and convenient, house was clean and kitchen well stocked. Location and beach are absolutely outstanding, and so nice to have a pool with covered outdoor seating. Just wish the outdoor seating was able to be lit up at night. I do recommend bringing own soap/shampoo/conditioner as it is not provided. Lots of pool/beach toys and chairs. We can't wait to return. "

"The Best Beach House
This house was absolutely amazing! The perfect spot right on the beach. We loved the covered area right by the pool. Everything worked great for us. There are not many options with 2 equal king rooms for 2 couples and this had that and the Authentic Bahama decor was great! We had Totacina come out for Swedish massages and Brenda D. cook an incredible dinner for us. The power did go out a couple times but I’ve heard that’s not uncommon. The water also went out on the island but the homeowner was very accessible and got her plumber out to get ours fixed very quickly. We had a lot of difficulties with the airlines and Matt the pm was great with providing other options to get there. We finally made it to the house a day late but we were so thankful to get there! We would visit again without a doubt. "

"Great Location, Great House, Great Beach!
Had a wonderful stay here. The owner Michelle was very helpful We stayed with our 3 kids that are all 10 and under. They loved the pool and the beach and had a blast! There was a bunch of beach toys there which was awesome for the kids. House was fully stocked with everything you need. Beach was just steps away from the house. The beach is absolutely incredible and only saw a few people each day. Fun snorkeling just a few steps away down the beach. The property is very close to town and everything you will need. I cannot recommend this property enough, we had an incredible time here and cannot wait to come back."

"Doesn't get better than this!!!
Firstly, I would like to begin this review by stating that this was the 2nd time we've worked with Matt and Pam at Eleuthera Vacations. Great folks!!
The Beach House is a wonderful place to stay. The full remodel of this home dates back a number of years and it is beginning to show a little wear and tear. But this simply adds charm to an otherwise wonderful place to holiday. The beach is a mere fifty steps from the back deck and you will find a gazebo or cabana on the deck with cushioned benches and over stuffed pillows that offers a welcome respite from the sun but keeps you enveloped in the sounds of the ocean and a beneficiary of the ocean breeze. The home is owned by the madame proprietor of a very fine local restaurant who is a "hands on" manager and is dedicates herself to making certain that one's stay is enjoyable and problem-free. Our only complaint are the bed pillows since we prefer down to foam. But . . . guess what? We've already paid our deposit for a week's rental for 2023 and we will simply bring our own pillows for our 3rd holiday through Eleuthera Vacations in so many years!! Now . . . that tells you a lot about customer satisfaction, yeah?"

"The Beach House is Everything It Promises to Be
We stayed at the Beach House in January and it was great. With three spacious, comfortable bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and views for days, you can't go wrong. Definitely get the pool heated, because January can be a bit cool and windy. The home is in a fabulous location, super close to Governors Harbor and ON French Leave Beach. The home is very well appointed with everything you are going to need to relax and reset. We'd definitely book here again. And, the owner and her family are friendly and super responsive. No wonder this house is almost always booked."

"Awesome house and location
We stayed at the beach house in governor's harbor on French leave Beach which was the perfect location. There were three couples and the house was perfect with each bedroom having an ensuite. The house was perfect for six people with a well-equipped kitchen and open to the living room so everyone could socialize. One of our favorite places to sit and have a cocktail was outside under the pergola but the short walk to the pink Beach was spot on. Matthew the property manager and Michelle the owner or a delight to work with and I would highly recommend this property to anyone and we will probably be back!"

"A Perfect Place...A Perfect Vacation
We are home owners. Based on the high bar that Michele has set, I now have a list of items that I will need to get to make our rental as great. Every item of convenience and need is provided and the property is amazing! Our family of 5 explored the entire island, lounged at the pool & incredible beach, ate well and danced at the Buccaneer Club. It was just what we needed and Michele made it extra special. "Fabulous House on Beautiful Beach
We have stayed on Eleuthera many times in the past but The Beach House is by far our favorite to date. The house and pool are perfect -- and we loved sitting in the shaded cabana next to the pool catching the breezes and the lovely view. We were there doing remote work which worked well. We had the beach to ourselves most days . . . Thanks to Michele who was so helpful with any questions we had."

"Great location in Central Eleuthera
We had a great vacation at the Beach House. It was a bit windy most days but we went across to the other side of the island and it was fine. The house is in a perfect location being in the middle of the island. It is also on one of the most beautiful beaches, French Leave. The house itself is very comfortable, big spacious bedrooms as well as common spaces. The outside space is also amazing, with a large deck, pool and covered sitting area. There is also a covered area down on the beach with beach chairs. Michele is a wonderful host and made sure everything was just right. We loved going to the Buccaneer restaurant just down the street. It is very convenient and has delicious food and a nice outdoor patio. This property is also close to Tippys, 1648, several grocery stores and a gas station.
This is a 5-star rental and we would definitely stay here again.
The property manager, Matt, was really helpful with all of the Covid requirements. He provided contact numbers and clinic locations for the required testing."

"2nd time at The Beach House, Excellent Vacation Rental
We had another great stay at The Beach House in April 2021! We had originally booked for June 2020 but had to reschedule because of COVID. Rescheduling was a breeze. The house is amazing, has amazing views, amazing kitchen, amazing pool, etc. We will definitely be going back. "Best property on Eleuthera!
I had visited the Beach House a few years back when it was a restaurant, so I was very familiar with the beautiful location on Frenchleaf Beach. The conversion from a restaurant to a rental property is really amazing. This house is cozy, warm and gives you the feeling that you live on the island, and are not just there visiting. The owner, Michelle Johnson, and her team treated us very well during our stay. Waited for us with two bottles of wine and a few other items to get us going the first day - what a beautiful experience - we highly recommend this property.

This home is simply perfect. This is a well appointed home that had everything we needed for a casual multi-generation vacation.
We have visited Eleuthera many times and this time was anything but normal but our stay at the Beach House made this family vacation worth all the hurdles of getting there. We will return !

One of the nicest homes we've stayed in in Eleuthera. Very clean, comfortable, roomy and well equipped. The property management was spectacular and was quick to respond if there was an issue. Nice having a pool to use as well as being oceanfront. Location was not too far from town but far enough to be very quiet. It was like having our own private beach! Highly recommend!!"

"The Beach House on French Leave Beach.
We had a wonderful vacation on Eleuthera. Having never been on this island before much was new. The many beaches were as advertised, powdery sand, miles long and very few other visitors. It was a short walk or drive to the village of Governor's Harbour where we could purchase supplies. There were several restaurants nearby that served excellent Bahamian fare often accompanied by live music. It was exactly the low key slow paced experience hat we were looking for."

beautiful place in a beautiful location. Close to town. Michelle the property owner is super helpful! I cannot say enough good things about this House/beach. House is well equipped with everything you need. We cooked meals here easily. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. The beach had a covered area and beach chairs. Sand was soft and water was very refreshing and clear. Highly recommend."
