We have been coming down to okaloosa island for years and this has been the cleanest unit we have rented. We also live the location and easy in and out of condo. The rental company was super helpful and we knew exactly what was going on when and where with great communication!! We definitely will book again"

"Just what we needed for bringing family to the beach!
My wife and I were looking for a place to take our son and two granddaughters, and this layout worked well for sleeping space. Access to beach, pool and outdoor bathroom was convenient, which was especially helpful when weather or surf conditions limited our time in the gulf or on the beach. Furnishings were a bit dated but the unit was certainly serviceable, and our fellow vacationers were friendly. I'm sure this will be a good fit for other families as well."

"Gulf Dunes Unit 302
This unit was absolutely beautiful. Clean, comfortable and electronically functional (everything worked)! Glad to see that the pics on line accurately depicted what was in the condo. A huge plus for us were the high chairs & table on the balcony. You can see over the railing providing an unobstructed view, which is great compared to chairs that sit lower, which cause you to look at the beach through the rails. Big selling point for us. Overall, we just loved this unit and will hopefully be able to return again and again!"

Nice condo. Even though it's a 2 bedroom, there's a 3rd small room with 2 single bunk beds. Pool was warm in early March. Easy walk to restaurants. Outdoor grills on the property could use some replacing, kinda rusty. "

Stayed for three weeks. Weather was great..the view from the balcony, right on the beach, was awesome!
Great location, lots of restaurants, bars, museums within walking distance. The beach is "postcard" material. Condo was clean, well-stocked, and updated. Also, took advantage of their deal with daily activities - no cost to golf for me!"

"Beautiful location but not the best Condo
The AC did not cool at all in the master bedroom.
My husband did not have a good week due to his back hurting. On the third day my hips started hurting so I know it was from the very hard mattress we had. The location is great and I would definitely stay at Gulf Dunes again but not in this Condo.
Also had trouble with the elevator but I reported it and it was taken care of.

"Love this condo and location
This was our first time staying at Gulf Dunes. The place was very clean, fully stocked and the bunk beds were a nice feature. The condo is close to the stairs so you can walk down or take the elevator. We loved the balcony in the mornings and at night. You can hear the kids from the pool but it’s not bad at all. Beach access is so close only a small boardwalk. The elevators can be slow and smelly but you are at the beach. There are only a few carts so it can be a wait the day you check out. Everything was easy to book, no issues. We did laundry every day, so bring some extra detergent. We will definitely be staying here again. Love that it’s so close to many restaurants and grocery stores. Loved watching the fireworks off the pier. I love that the beach chairs are set up into rows and not U shaped. They started putting chairs out around 730/8. All the chair guys were nice. Our only complaint was that they never scrubbed the beach after the storm and there was a ton of seaweed on the beach. This condo is super family friendly. So if you are looking for a condo for just adults this is not your place. We hope to come back next year! "

"Amazing trip!
Our condo was exactly what we were looking for. We loved the view of the ocean and how close we were to the beach. The balcony was a good size and the chairs on the balcony made it perfect being so comfortable. The first load I put in the washer there was a strong smell throughout he condo but I talked to the front desk and they sent us afresh to use in washer. Once that ran we didn’t have anymore problems. The condo was everything we expected it to be and we loved it! Our chairs was put out every morning for us. We had a very good stay will be staying here again. "

"Great view,clean,non crowded,great parking
The condo was very nice,it was very clean,beautiful view, plenty of room ,I would stay in this condo again,the only issue for us was one towel per person, we did bring an extra towel each, I had to do laundry every day on vacation, to have plenty of towels, the instructions did say we needed towels, I didnt realize how much extra work it would require not to bring plenty of them. The issue with packing plenty of towels, is that we didnt have enough room to pack for alot of towels. The beds were too firm for us but if you like a firm bed you will love it, thats just a personal preference, the beds were clean and very nice. Check in and out were very easy and parking was great, not too crowded or close and thats a big deal to us, the beach was beautiful and not crowded.We loved the beach chairs being included, Also our room temp was very nice. Thank you."

We had a great time. The condo was perfect and clean and it had the view that I was looking for. Only down side was that we were unable to do the free excursions because noone ever answered the number for booking so we had to go out and find other places to do excursions. "Golf Dunes Condo #302
Condo #302 was an excellent unit, in great condition, and very clean when we arrived. All appliances and equipment (especially the air conditioning) worked well and the unit was just as described. Although we did not have any problems with the unit, all of our contact with the property manager and employees was cheerful and all of our questions were promptly answered. Favorite eating places were, in no particular order, Anglers,The Cowhead, Props, Rockin Tacos, and The Shack (Original Waterfront Crab Shack). Activities included the Gulfarium, ice cream at the Okaloosa National Mini Golf, and racing and videa games at Wild Willy's Adventure Zone. I would definitely recommend the Gulf Dunes which is operated by Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc and the entire Ft. Walton Beach area."

"Great vacation
We truly enjoyed staying @ Gulf Dunes in unit 302. We have vacationed on Okaloosa for over 10 years. We have stayed @ Island Echos, Water's Edge, Waterscape, and Azure. For the price, this unit is a great deal. My only complaint is the layout of the master bath/bedroom/closet. The three doors all collide and it can be frustrating. Not a huge deal but something for the owner to think about...maybe a pocket door or sliding barn door :)"

"Noisy week no sleep
We have stayed at several rentals through Brooks & Shorey and this was the first time we were awaken all night from noise. After two nights we had enough and complained to the lady at the front desk. The next day I got an email from management to call the police if it continues. Personally I think management should have handled the noise issue, we were guests on vacation!!!!!"

"Annual family getaway
This is a less expensive alternative to the the higher end condos in the area, such as Azure. It is less like a condo and more like a hotel. Pool is small. Outside areas are not as manicured and nice as you would expect for this area. Not bad for the discounted price you pay."

We had the best time! Our trip was during Hurricane Nate. Brooks and Shorey called to tell us about the hurricane shutters. We had no problems at all. In fact, the condo was perfect. Great location to Publix and easy drive to other shopping and restaurants. The beach was beautiful and the free beach chairs are so nice. This was a great vacation. I will book with Brooks and Shorey again and will recommend them to my friends. "

"Great place to stay!!
We had a wonderful stay at Great Dunes in this condo. The condo is in a great location near many attractions. The condo itself was very clean, could use one upgrade on kitchen supplies as some were broken and a better coffee maker as well. The only downfall was the bugs flying everywhere on the balcony we must have killed over hundreds they were quite annoying, hard to control Mother Nature though. We will definitely stay here again no place Is perfect and we love the quiteness of Great Dunes!!"

It was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with just about everything you could think of. The best part, however, was the view from the Gulf-front balcony. It was breathtaking! "Gulf Dunes Okaloosa Island vacation
This is the 2nd time I've stayed in the Gulf Dunes condos on Okaloosa Island and both stays have been awesome! Brooks and Shorey Resorts is the management company that handled my recent stay and they made my vacation so relaxing. Very easy check-in and check-out and went above and beyond to make my vacation a great experience. Would definitely book this condo again. The area is more private than many Florida beaches with easy access to Destin and Ft. Walton Beach areas which have many restaurants, stores, etc. Already wish I was back at the beach!"

We had a wonderful time staying in GD 302! The condo was very clean, decorated well and very comfortable. The kitchen was lovely and had all the things we needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice as well. The beach view was amazing! We watched several Dolphins swimming from the balcony every morning. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

The third floor condo had a beautiful view of the beach. The condo was clean and was well-stocked with china, glasses, cooking utensils. In fact we have reserved a condo for next summer at Gulf Dunes. We ate at a lot of seafood restaurants, either close by or over in Destin. "The Back Porch" restaurant was particularly good, as was the "Surf Hut". "
