St Pete Beach - Beach Information - Fun Things to Do - Tips

St. Pete Beach is a true beach resort city on a barrier island just west of St. Petersburg, Florida, in the Gulf of Mexico. Your St. Pete Beach beach house will give you access to one of America's best beaches, not to mention top-notch shopping and culture-rich entertainments.
St. Pete Beach has idyllic Emerald Coast beaches, complete with soft white sand and clear blue-green water. In 2018 it was voted in the top 10 of TripAdvisor's Best U.S. Beaches. Since the beach faces the Gulf, the water is placid. A sandbar makes for gentle waves that are great for swimming, even for kids. Pass-a-Grille Beach is among the longest undeveloped public beach in the country, meaning that the setting is natural and the beach isn't crowded. You can rent a cabana or bring your own outdoor chairs from your St. Pete Beach beach house.
Popular watersports in St. Pete Beach include parasailing, stand-up paddle boarding, jet skiing, and windsurfing. You can charter a boat for expeditions for fishing or snorkeling, and you can sail in search of dolphins at sunset aboard luxury yachts. If you want to get up close and personal with aquatic life, you can visit the Swim with the Fishes indoor aquarium where you can literally swim with the fishes. When you've worked up your appetite, you won't have to go far to enjoy a good meal or drink, as there are a number of bars and restaurants along the beach.
St. Pete Beach has a lot to offer off the beach, too. Nearby St. Petersburg is the home of The Dali Museum, which has the largest collection of Salvador Dali artwork outside of Spain. Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach has several art and jewelry galleries and a host of specialty boutiques that are a shopper's dream come true. Live music and unique cafes and restaurants round out a perfect day out from your St. Pete Beach beach house.
