"Weekend stay at La Gaviota
We, along with our friends, having been staying at La Gaviota twice a year for many years. This condo is always clean and comfortable. This visit we noted the unit has been painted a refurnished with new kitchenware. Wonderful stay. "

"Family Vacation
I really like the house,it was really clean, the view is amazing. The place is really secure all doors have locks and gates, they do have an alarm , I was not informed when I pick up the key but they did put the alarm code in red #'s on my paper. The place is by a strip club, did't bother me because the place is far from the noise, you will need to be outside entrance to hear the music. I like how it has a garage,is big enough to put two cars if you got good parking skills, I drove a dodge durango & my aunt a truck 150 we were able to fit both inside with my husband parking skills. it is a rocky area where the water is , I do recommend water shoes. I normally stay in las Conchas ,this was a good place even though there is no security like other places I staid, It was really nice. "

""Turn at the Strip Club" ??
I should have known what we were in for when the office gave me directions including "turn at the strip club". Not a great neighborhood, to say the least. Obviously, there's a reason they don't put the condo address on their website.
They also didn't warn me about the home alarm system - and we experienced about 5 minutes of ear-piercing noise for me to find the code notation on the bottom of the information sheet they gave me at the office. 30 minutes later, a maintenance man showed up - on the beach-side - asking if we needed help with the alarm. Um, it's off and you're a bit scary.
The photo of the beach patio is fairly accurate, but.... the condo inside was not well-kept. Leaky faucets, dingy/dirty floors, sinks, showers, toilets. There was no curtain on the window facing the beach (where folks walk by all times of day and night), so we had to hang a sheet. It was sort of like camping. Their ads said TV and there was one - but no cable (and no VCR/DVD player either, so what good was the TV?). When we made the trip over to the office to ask about the TV, they informed me that there shouldn't have been a TV in the condo since there was no cable service. The wi-fi DID work, however.
Checkout instructions were a bit over the edge for receiving your deposit refund, including "you must sweep, close all curtains, drapes, doors, windows, clean this and that well, our cleaners do NOT wash dishes, our cleaners do NOT take out trash, .....". Not that we were at all messy, but we would have left the place much cleaner than we found it if we had followed all of the instructions.
Overall, not impressed. We should have paid the extra $40-50/night to stay in the more modern, well-kept, Sandy Beach resort area. Next time."

"Gaviota 10/6/17
We have rented in Mirador for years and this was our first trip with Gaviota among our numerous condos we rented to accomodate our family. It was a clean simple condo that was comfortable and pleasant to stay in. "

"La Gaviota right on the beach
Right on the beach close to old port fish market. Condo was clean and well stocked. Tv had no channels but wifi worked."

"Cute affordable beachfront townhouse
Cute, cozy house perfect for 6. Beach is literally steps away but there are a lot of rocks.. water shoes recommended especially for kids. A/C works great, fridge leaks a little and doesn't cool too well but the freezer works just fine. Toilets, you have to hold down the handle till water disappears but almost every beach home, plumbing is the same. No washer or dryer so make sure to hang your towels and not throw them on the floor. Wi-fi doesn't work but that wasn't a huge issue for us. Also, t.v. works but no cable or dvd player. Spacious car garage so you feel safe knowing your car is well secured as well as the home. "

"A tranquil and serene location right on El Mirador Beach
Overall, we were very satisfied. However, we did have refrigerator and freezer issues the first day as it started leaking all over the kitchen floor. We had to move the food to the coolers until the repair man showed up to fix it. After that, it worked fine. Plumbing is an issue with the Master Bath as you have to hold the handle down the entire time until the toilet finally flushes. Beds were very comfortable. Very close to town (5 min drive) to the Port and fish market areas. Futon could use a little attention. We've stayed in this area before so we knew in advance to bring good water shoes for the ocean because it is very rocky and you can easily get cut up pretty badly if you slip and fall onto the coral. When the tide goes out there are great areas to explore for crabs, octopus, starfish and other sea life. The beach is pretty private, no resorts around. The vendors and Banana Boat still show up though, which we enjoyed. I have two complaints about the garage... It would be nice if renters we given a garage door opener instead of having to unlock the gate and go into the garage to open the door. The single vehicle garage is very spacious as my F-150 fit with ample space all around it. However, there was a lot of debris that fell from the ceiling onto my truck as paint chips or other pieces of the ceiling fell. It could use some attention to prevent damage to other vehicles. We stayed 5 nights and never once heard noise from the strip club directly behind us (we read a lot of reviews that complained about the noise before we stayed). The club was open though, because we drove by several times. Also, the Lexus swim-up bar (attached to Pink Cadillac) across the street from the strip club is our favorite place! We go every time we stay in Rocky Point, and it's in walking distance from this condo. It's low on business, so they close up during some days of the week, but the pool is clean and service is great!"

"Mirador property
Upon walking into the unit it was obvious that it hadn't been rented or cleaned for a while. We had to call the office and demand they send cleaners over. You couldn't even see out the windows! GREAT LOCATION! Comfortable beds! Yet, there is no functional TV nor Wifi. I called several times regarding the nonfunctioning Wifi to be told "It's Mexico Wifi doesn't always work." Yet my friend who had a condo about 10 units away had fabulous fast wifi! In the future I will rent a VRBO in the Mirador area!"

"What a great week!!!
Property was clean and comfortable. WiFi didn't work, not a big deal for us. No working TV, also not a big deal for us. Comfortable beds, living room furniture needs attention, but useable. Porch furniture not as pictured, but the two chairs and table were comfortable. Retaining wall between condo and water was not my preference, but again, all in all, worth the $ and had a great week. Garage was great, never worried about my car. Thanks Oceano"

"Great Place, Great People
It was great. It was right on the beach. It was clean and when we had a small problem with the internet, they got it fixed quickly. Granted, you have to understand that is's near some bars, so it was a bit noisy at night, but it was in a great location, so it was worth it."

"Terrible
We didn't have water for several days

The stove didn't work

Toilets didn't flush toilet seat not screwed on do I slide off the toilet and fell into the shower

Front door would lock

Refrigerator leaked water

Maintenance was at the house everyday but failed to fix the issues we reported

The house didn't have pots to cook. I had to purchase everything from the ley

There was no water outside to rinse off the sand

We had a death in the family and had to leave a day early and the owner of the property didn't want to credit that one day for a future stay. They said it wasn't there problem

"Worst Location, House needs serious repairs/upgrades
Not aware that the house was located directly behind a strip club, and across the street from the party area. Music blaring until after 330 am. House needs serious repairs and upgrades. Master bathroom wouldnt flush properly. Shower in hall wouldn't work properly. Tiles loose on sinks, in shower. Paint was chipping. Place looked like it had been empty/abandoned for sometime. Beds were uncomfortable. Linens looked like they needed to be washed and could definitely be replaced! The house didnt have a broom or mop! TV didnt work. House had a foul odor to it, had to go out and buy candles and air freshener. Would not recommend this to anyone at any price. A little money invested into this property would make the location seem more bare-able. "

"la gaviota
right on the water! super dreamy. a little cove of sand for easy dips right out front. less tidal movement with lovely tide type pools exposed at low tide. place felt safe and had a handful of vendors strolling by each day. the place itself was cute and clean. it did have a few outlet troubles and was missing a lock. the kind neighbor lent us an extra and did say that it has been broken into several times and that locking all gates is good. with this is seemed very safe. wi-fi worked. great adventure walk up the hillside and over to a great waterfront restaurant and happy hour place on the hill. recommend that for sure. great spot! can't beat the price and being right on the water. "Fallbreak 2015
We've been staying on the Mirador beach for years. This condo was satisfactory. It needs a few repairs (bathroom sink had a nonstop leak) and maybe a few more/new skillets, pots. A dvd player would be nice to have as well. Also, we were not able to get into the condo until after 5pm. Check in was 4pm. The ladies were still cleaning and we ended up just asking her to leave and not mop the floors. Everything was clean and in order. It was a satisfactory place to stay for the price."

"Not very good

Hola,

"Short stay
This condo was clean and the beach was right out the back door. However, we did not know that we were in 'the entertainment district' which meant that from 8:00 PM until 3:15 AM we had to listen to the bass and do from the club on the next block. The bass resonates into the house, so there is no escaping it. We tried closing everything up, but the beat was still there. Also, the air conditioning had issues, so the coolest it got was 79 degrees. It was the most miserable night ever. We left the next morning at 9:00 AM. Upon leaving, there was cups, beer cans and beer bottles thrown all along the street that is used to enter the property. It was really disgusting. I suppose if we came down to party, this would have been the perfect spot, but we came down to relax and enjoy nature. This was definitely not the place for us. "

"Mirador mahem
Miridor condo in bad need of repairs and maintenance. Was clean but very worn. A/C did not work, although we were probably first to use for warm season. Omar at Oceano did help us greatly."

"NOT WHAT IT SEEMS
THE PICTURES REALLY DOESNT SHOW THE INSIDE THAT WELL.WHEN I ARRIVED I PICTURED A REALLY NICE CONDO. IT WAS REALLY OLD INSIDE, CURTAINS WERE OLD AND DIRTY AND HANGING OFF IN THE LIVING ROOM.THE BLINDS WERE REALLY BAD AND OLD SOME WERE BROKEN AND COULDNT CLOSE THEM. THE FRIDGE LOOKED LIKE HAD RUSTED BULLET HOLES REALLY UGLY.THE LIVING ROOM COUCH WAS A FUTON VERY UNCOMFORTABLE THIN FUTON MATTRESS. THERE WAS NO GRILL TO COOK ON THE GRILL, I HAD TO MAKE MY OWN WITH ROCKS. COMPARED TO THE OTHER CONDOS NEXT TO ME THIS WAS REALLY OLD AND RUNDOWN.NEEDS TO BE UPDATED! THE LOCATION WASNT TOO BAD BUT AT NIGHT BE PREPARED TO NOT SLEEP DUE TO VERY VERY LOUD MUSIC AND ITS BEHIND A STRIPPER BAR NOT GOOD FOR CHILDREN."
