We had a great time at the Casita de first blush when we arrived we were a bit disappointed that it's not really obvious from the photo's and marketing that it is NOT directly beachfront, it's behind the house in front but still will a nice view and dedicated path to the beach. The casita was clean and even with some minor problems (no power in one room, a broken fan switch), it was great. "

"A lovely property
We had a great 5 day stay at the casita. The property is well maintained with a really large patio overlooking the ocean.
My only negative feedback would be:
- Lack of dishwasher
- Lack of counter space. The kitchen is pretty tiny and there is no real "living room".
But it was perfect for our small family of 3! "

"Birthday get away
Property needs a little attention,a bit of crumbling concrete and missing tile. The only door in or out of the Casita (sliding door) was so difficult my wife couldn't operate it. Slider screen fell off onto the patio. No broom to clean up tracked in sand. No beach towels as offered for use and purchase. No dish cloth or sponge for doing dishes. These items may seem trivial but were a bit inconvenient.
Very comfortable bed and brite white sheets and towels. Plenty of hot water was enjoyable."

"Absolutely sick to my stomach. Never again.
This casita was the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life coming down to Rocky Point. The Casita description does not mention the fact that it is owned by the Oceano Rentals owner which made the first night stay very uncomfortable. I was only able to sleep 2 hours without noticing the owner was walking the property. In addition, he is an exhibitionist who stripped down naked on the side of his to bathe and wash himself after taking a dip in the ocean and my 2 daughters witnessed this act. there is no privacy wall and his blinds were opened where we can see the owner of Oceano Rentals walking around in his underwear from room to room. I returned the Casita key the next day and the Owner of Oceano rentals is refusing to refund my money.
Please pay mind that the description for this Casita is not true to what it is described. The bed is a twin, and not a king. There is no Keurig machine for your coffee when it states to bring it down. The lounge chairs are old, ripped and is a falling hazard. The door is not updated and is a risk for Intruders. The cutlery is cheap and not enough to prepare meals. I do not recommend this place to anyone with children. "

When we arrived in Rocky Point, Oceano Rentals informed us that our original booking was being worked on and that we were being upgraded to Casita de Paz . when we arrived at the location the upgrade was fantastic . the house was very clean , ample space, BBQ outside and very calm atmosphere. very short stroll to the beach. all and all would I stay here again ...Yes I would . I have rented several properties from Oceano rentals and they have never let me down . Thank you Oceano for always taking care of me . "

"Charming Accommodations and Great Staff
My previous trip to Puerto Peñasco was somewhat of a let down, but my husband wanted to spend some time at the beach again so I agreed to return. My friend suggested booking through VRBO. She said she had good luck with them, so I took her advise.
The little Casita that we stayed in was ADORABLE and absolutely emasculate. It was facing the water and just a few steps from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm not much of a beach person but nonetheless, I'm looking forward to our next trip!"

"Lovely trip!
The house was lovely and so was the beach! My nephew had never been to Mexico so when he walked through the gates to the house he was awestruck by the beauty. Everything was clean and the staff over at Oceana Realty office were wonderful. I needed to have something printed and scanned and they took care of it for me in a quick minute. They were just absolutely lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. We came down to celebrate my nephews 19th birthday and he said it was the best birthday he had ever had!! I would highly recommend this property and this company to rent a place in Mexico from. Thank you for such lovely accommodations!!! Oh, and we barely even felt the effects of COVID. Although, the real estate office and pretty much everyone in Rocky Pointe was diligent about masks, sanitizer, checking temperatures and being very cautious."

Great Patio and great access to the beach. Lacks some kitchen items and general things for your stay if you are cooking etc. No hand soap in bathrooms, no paper towels and very little cookware but if you are not spending any time in the kitchen it won't matter! Loved the view! "

This was a superior casita and steps from the beach. My son and I were able to snorkel and kayak.
The terrace was spectacular and there were large windows in the house for great ocean views. I would leave right now and go back!"

This place was absolutely perfect for my husband and 18 month old son as well as myself. Walking distance to the beach on our private pathway and a spectacular porch to spend our evenings on. The place could use some much needed T.L.C.,like a new screen door, stove & fridge, small leak in roof in master bedroom, some new linens would go a long way as well. The stove was a bit of a hazard; it literally was shocking us as we tried cooking pasta on the stove which is not the safest thing for guests, and could harm someone so please keep this in mind, but other than this we truly loved this rental! Thank you!! "

"A wonderful Jewel in Rocky Point.
We had a lovely time. We especially liked the access to beach. The veranda was lovely. A few suggestions. Provide bottle water. I forgot shampoo and thought there would be small bottle provided. Also some concern with using stove. No vent? Very clean. Screen door kept falling off which we reported when we left. Little special details I hope you will consider. Scale of 1-10 an 8."

Overall, the Casita we stayed in was very nice. If afforded easy access to the beach, was very scenic and well situated, and provided a nice place to stay. The only criticism we have is the internet did not work the entire time. We paid a lot in fees to stay at this accommodation and would like to have had functioning internet during our stay. It was not to be. Aside from the none functioning internet (why I only give some ratings three stars), it was a very good accomodation."

We were down for two nights: a Thursday and a Friday. Met the owner and enjoyed a brief chat.
The place is comfortably furnished and appointed. The patio has a good ocean view and is a great place to spend some time.
Some Kitchen supplies were not available as in other places: no sugar or paper towels were available and had to be purchased.
The DirecTV was inoperable. Not a big deal.
We would rent this property again.

"Rocky Point GetAway
It was nice. ran into some strong winds, blowing sands and soft dirt but the 1100 mile round trip bike ride was great, the Lord rode with us!
The toilet flapper chain broke but we did not call it in. The TV had issues but we called and the handyman got it taken care of. We did have some issues with the old coffee pot overflowing. Maybe it needs to be cleaned with water/vinegar or just get a new one, they are cheap. My 2nd time there and we will probably make it 3 next year. Thank you"

Beautiful and wonderful! But this place is close to the water and the rocks and coral are a challenge to navigate and swim even in the highest of tides. That was the only drawback, I had to go down the beach to swim at times. "

"Weekend Birthday
Just a long weekend. I read reviews and wonder if they are doctored....not on this Casita. Plenty of room for 4 and a great view. The kitchen is small if you plan to visit the fish markets and like your own cooking. The rocks are fun for exploring but no beach for the kids and swimming. The Spring-breakers had taken the harbor area by storm. We are quite people and liked the privacy of our walled compound. Pretty place. They clean everything, so take everything you would need if planning home meals. We will be back. "

"Peaceful and great location
Casita was lovely and a perfect size for 3 girlfriends. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to fix small meals and snacks. Bathrooms had beautiful tile work and stained glass and each had 2 sets of clean towels. Water pressure is great. The extended patio and view were shady and exceptional. You can walk right out the gate onto the sand and wash off in the outdoor shower when you're done. We had one maintenance issue with a plugged toilet and Oceano sent someone out within 40 minutes to fix it.
Pros: perfect location, safe, quiet, nice view, good tidepooling and shell collecting area, responsive rental company, great price, a/c and ceiling fans work wonderfully to cool the casita off, great selection of patio chairs
Cons: some minor repair work should be done (especially to broken tiles and loose door knobs), curtains were old and would look much better replaced with blinds, spotty WiFi (expected in this area), beach is very rocky here - can swim a little only at the highest tide, beds are sleepable but pretty firm, lounge chairs not very comfortable
We would definitely rent here again and recommend it to others."

Peacefull. Clean house. A couple of minor things w the house and I let the staff know upon check out. Wifi not so good.
The ocean/ beach was beautiful. Loved the sound at night.
Definitely not a swimming beach as there is a lot of rocks.
We drove to a private beach where friends were staying.
I felt safe there.

First I want to say there were ants. We could not but anything on the counter even to cook. Although there was very nice dishes and pots/pans the cooking utensils are in need of replacement. Bed is hard. Stove top out of 4 burners only 2 worked (sometimes). The place was clean however. This is my 2nd time staying here. I do not think I will be back. "

GAVE THEM THE KEY THEY SEAD THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN FIX THE PROBLEM CHANG THE LOCK AND FIX THE SHOWER HEAD IT CAME OFF NO CALL ALL DAY AN NIGHT.SOME ONE CAME AND LOCK THE DOOR WE LEFT OPEN INCASE.LUCKY WE LEFT A WINDOW OPEN.THEY LOCK US OUT. AND NO CALL. THEY TEX ME AT 12:45AM SATERDAY MORRING ASKING IF I GOT THE KEY I DID NOT TEX BACK.10:30 AM SATERDAY MORRING SOME ONE CAME OVER WITH A KEY PS. "Great stay if you don't mind a Rockey beach
We had a great stay and the property was perfect ! The only bad thing I can say is this property is on the Rockey end of the beach the water never covered the rocks not even at high tide so other then that we loved the casita just next time we will rent something further south where the beach is sandy ! That said everything else was simple and just as expected !"

"Wonderful retreat!
My partner, a friend and I had a great time at Casa de la Paz! We enjoyed being right on the beach. The house was perfect. We bought seafood two nights from the fish markets and had sea food feasts made in the kitchen and on the outside grill. The AC kept it comfortable dispite the heat. The house was clean and comfortable. Great view from the patio. Relaxing. The management was excellent. There was a problem with the shower head and they fixed it that day. The house ran out of water. Within hours the truck was there to fill the tank. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a great retreat. "

"Perfect little Casita
Casita de Paz is a great little guest house on a larger property. It is behind the main beach front property, but the shared yard is great, there is a huge patio, and you can still see and step easily to the shore. The amount of space was perfect for the two of us (perhaps too much, since we didn't even go in the second bedroom). The bedroom was very comfortable. The location is very close to the entrance to Las Conchas, with easy access. We went into town for food and shopping a few times a day and swam and lounged around on the beach the rest of the time."

"Christmas time.
Our stay was great. The weather was so cold. Didn't get to spend any time at the beach. If you rent this house, make sure you turn on the water heater. We went a day and half with no showers because we didn't know this had to be done. The location is kind of far away from the Fish Market. Since we wanted to drink we didn't want to drive so we had to get a taxi at $20 a time to take us there. "

Casita De Paz overall was nice but when we arrived the stove was broken, which was huge factor for us in deciding to book this place. We went down to the property management office and they said they would come before 5PM that day to fix the stove an open a bathroom door that was accidentally locked with our things inside. We went out to town and came back at 5 after 5. Nothing was fixed. I went back to the office and they were closed.
Eventually we got the bathroom open ourselves, and the stove was never fixed. I mentioned it at check out and they promised a discount at the next booking which, for me may be a very long time.
Aside from the above mentioned issues we had a very nice, easy stay."

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place. A/C, Wifi, amenities all great. We had a hard time finding the house number in the evening, but it is easy to get to Las Conchas otherwise. We would recommend this wholeheartedly and Oscar at Oceano was extremely helpful with recommendations, places to purchase local fish, etc. The beach directly in front of the house was extremely rocky and good for looking at tidal pools, not swimming, but a few miles further down in Las Conchas there is just sand and tons of access to the beaches. "A Fantastic Rental Choice
Grrr... I wrote a long, glowing review of this place (it's fantastic), then the webpage froze... Here it goes again...
The property is great. If you are looking at a rental in Las Conchas/Rocky Point for the beach, the access, the patio, or the property overall - this is the place to rent.
The rental is the 'guest house,' right behind the 'main house' - which is on the beach. From the 'guest house' you have a clear view and walk directly to the beach - you don't even need to bring your shoes! Also, this property is right at the part of the beach where the rocks end and the sand starts - that means at high tide you don't have to worry about stubbing your toes on the rocks that are on much of the rest of the beach. Also, at low tide, you are right next to all the cool tidal pools (we found star fish, octopuses!, tons of hermit crabs).
There is one main room (a kitchen/living area), then two bedrooms off of that. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom, whereas the other bathroom is off of the kitchen area. The house has everything you need (towels, silverware, pots and pans, good AC). There are large windows in each room, which makes it really pretty to look out into the nicely landscaped yard. The patio is fantastic - probably one of my favorite things. It's very large and covered - so even when it was 100 outside, it felt nice and breezy under the patio.
Okay, I don't want you to think they are paying me to write this. Some of the stuff felt a little dated. For example, the two lounge chairs on the patio had seen better days. The kitchen drawer for silverware needed to be repaired... But that is me LOOKING for something to critique. Think about it - are you considering renting this place for the location, the beach, and the patio, or are you renting it for lounge chairs and kitchen cabinetry!?
Yes, rent this place - you won't regret it."
