"As advertised
Unit was clean and had a good amount of space. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Be sure and bring things like salt and pepper and sugar. The view of the ocean is nice. The king size bed is not very comfortable and the guest bathroom drain does not work well. Besides that, the access to beach was very good and the pool is very nice. "

"Vacation February 2024
Overall, we were satisfied with the unit and we have reserved it for a future visit; however, there are some issues which we would classify as nuisances.

The floors were swept but needed to be mopped. There was soot buildup on the ceiling near the air vents in the living room and master bedroom. There was also soot buildup on the air vents, especially the main return air grill at the furnace closet. The upper east wall in the master bedroom had significant dust buildup.

The balcony and kitchen blinds should be replaced. Slats fall out of the balcony blinds when operated. The kitchen blind is missing slat.

The guest bathtub backs up with water. It appears the drain plug mechanism needs to be replaced.

There was a warning to not set the air conditioner below 74-degrees to avoid freeze-up of the unit, which makes the bedrooms warm at night, and there are no ceiling fans.

The Spectrum TV remotes do not work properly in the living room and the guest bedroom. Also, there are no television-specific remotes for these TVs. The internet seemed very slow, which created some streaming issues.

The refrigerator has rust on the side, which is a cosmetic eyesore.

The dining room table has been brush-painted and the surface is rough. There is also some peeling along the edges.

There is also an electrical breaker issue with the dishwasher."

We enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. The condo was clean. They were doing repairs on the buildings. We had great view of the launch from Kennedy. "

"A little effort goes a long way
View of construction next door, plus loud construction at the property itself all week - but that's unavoidable. It's the little things though: if you provide TP, spend the extra $2 for some that's thicker than see/poke through. An extra $20 and provide pans that are non-stick. Extra $2 for oven mitta that actually work (wife burnt her hand badly because they were so thin - non functioning). Fix the ice maker so we don't have to get bags all week. Spend the $9 for toilet flapper that doesn't leak 24/7. People usually fly in - provide a couple of quality beach chairs and a cooler (you're welcome next guest, we bought those and had to leave them). And finally, might wanna take care of that obvious mold growing on the vent cover in bathroom that I breathed in all week. "

"Amazing Rental - So Lucky!
This rental was stunning and lived up to our expectations. We visited Cocoa Beach to vacation with our family, enjoy the beach and surf. The location was amazing, the view from the balcony was unbelievable - too bad Artemis didn't launch, and the surf was perfect for the family. The apt had everything we needed. We were able to prepare food, do laundry and enjoy sunrises. We were in such a need to spend time as a family and this place made it happen.
We hope to be lucky enough to stay in this unit again.

"Great time and location !
I brought my family down for Spring Break. We found the property, cleanliness and location to be excellent. My only suggestion would be the unit needs a new AC unit. Being limited to 74 degrees, when it is 90+ outside will make it quite hot. Especially at night on the top floor. The views of the beach and coast were awesome !"

"Sandcastles 704
Overall, a very nice vacation. We've stayed at Sandcastles in various units many times over the years and absolutely love the location.

Building – Sandcastles public areas are very clean and well maintained. The pool is excellent. The beach is wonderful, and access is easy.

Cleanliness – The interior of the unit was spotless, but the balcony could use a good scrubbing. Also, the balcony light needs to be repaired as there are exposed electrical wires.

Amenities – The appliances looked new and were in excellent working condition. All the necessary dishes and other kitchen paraphernalia were present and in good condition. Plenty of bath towels and bed linens, although we could not find any beach towels. The beach chairs that were present were in poor condition. The electronics were functional, but old. WiFi was good.

Decor – The overall decor has a beach vibe. The furniture was clean and in good condition. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, but very dated in appearance.

View – The unit is on the top floor so you have an unobstructed view. It faces north, so it overlooks the buildings next door, but it still has a nice view of the ocean and beach. If there are any rocket launches, you can watch from the balcony.

List of the issues with the property:
Bugs in the Kitchen
Plumbing issues in the second bath (water not draining in tub)
A Real Estate Appraiser showed up and let himself in with no notice. Glad we were dressed.
Refrigerator froze food and we had to throw out frozen eggs and salad
Light switches in 2nd bedroom did not turn on lamp
Primary bedroom closet light did not work
Dining room chair broken
Floors were dirty. an hour after showering and walking barefoot in the apt my feed were black.
Coffee machine broken and we call Lee - she said she was on it and we never did get a coffee machine. So we purchased one ourselves.

"The beach
The beach was very nice and clean and the view from the condo was very nice. The condo is in need of updates and repairs, as well as having tiny bugs in the kitchen area. There were several broken beach toys and chairs in the condo that needed to go to the dumpster. Overall experience, considering very reasonable price paid and the last minute availability, the condo was acceptable."

"Disappointing
The condo was disappointing. The master bedroom mattress was terrible- it seemed to have a large hole on one side. I specifically asked the owner via email about the mattresses based on a previous guest's review. The reply that I received regarding the mattress was that "it's a matter of preference". A mattress that you sink into is not a matter of preference. We also found a blood stain on a blanket and one of the large vents had a thick layer of dirt/dust on it. The location was good in that it was close to the beach. The condo was outdated and could use new mattresses, rugs, and linens- plus a deep cleaning. "

"Spring Break 2021
We had a great stay at Sandcastles 704. The unit had everything you could need. The pool was warm and clean. The beach was beautiful. Great location, close to everything. You have to have a key to go in and out of the gate to the beach and to the pool which was nice for safety but a little bit of a pain too. We had 2 keys and 6 people so there were times we couldn’t do what we wanted for lack of a key. You should add more pictures of the beach and pool to the advertisement for this unit. I only knew there was a pool from reading other people’s reviews. "

"Very nice condo with a great view
Very nice condo with lots of space. Condo does need some routine maintenance like replacing light bulbs, drain cleaner, etc. One thing to be aware of is that the balcony is on the north side (no sun). The beaches are endless and great for walking"
