The Honu (means Turtle) Bungalow is a downstairs 3 bedroom, 2 bath spacious air-conditioned bungalow with a spectacular outdoor slate floor Lanai with a main sitting area with beautiful outdoor furniture to relax and enjoy your morning coffee and a large outdoor dining table with 6 chairs. The Honu has a barbecue to enjoy some of the Hawaiian delights.

Conveniently located 2.3 mile south of downtown Kailua-Kona pier, 1 mile from town and 10 miles south of Honokohau Boat Harbor.

Hale Hoku, is located within the unique, private and gated Kona Beach Bungalows Estate. This Estate is considered the only private, oceanfront, vacation rental Estate on the Big Island of Hawaii and can accommodate up to 34 people. (15 Bedrooms and 11 baths).

The homes, all on the same Estate, can be rented out separately for couples or family getaways as well. All of the beautiful bungalows share the estate’s common grounds, the lava rock saltwater pool and Jacuzzi, lushly landscaped yard overlooking the Pacific Ocean, enchanting koi ponds and barbecue grills.

Nearby, you will find Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, dolphin and whale watching and other ocean activities. Minutes to a wide assortment of restaurants and shopping, and a great home base to explore the many wonders of the island including Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, coffee and macadamia nut farms, artist communities, and more!

Down the street are snorkel and surf beaches. Very close to town and activities, seconds from the shoreline, just a short walk to watch turtles, surfers and beautiful sunsets.

A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation (Ironman and Holidays have no refunds). Cancellations made sixty (60) days prior to arrival with written notice shall be given a refund minus a $175.00 cancellation fee. A $250.00 cancellation fee is in place for homes. Cancellations or changes made within sixty (60) days of the arrival date shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less security deposit) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the cancelled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

CSA Vacation Rental Insurance has been made available with your reservation. Vacation Rental Insurance reimburses for pre-paid, non-refundable expenses due to certain unforeseeable circumstances that may jeopardize your vacation investment and force you to incur unplanned expenses. We strongly recommend you purchase this valuable protection. If declined, you acknowledge you have read and understand our cancellation policy and choose not to purchase Vacation Rental Insurance on behalf of all occupants.
