B31 at the Kona Isle is an amazing top floor condo in building B. This corner unit has had considerable upgrades made by the home owners that include: All New Furniture, Vinyl Plank Flooring throughout-No more carpet!, Quartz Countertops in Kitchen, Cabinet Upgrades, Freshly painted interior!
The condo has an Ocean View From the Lanai & View of Hualalai Volcano Mountain as well! Great View of the sunrise from lanai looking east and ocean looking west.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

"Beach Front
We have stayed at Kona Isle a number of times and love it! This unit was clean and as detailed. The only issue was this is a wonderful unit unfortunately next to the stair well which is also where the bedroom is, and could get annoying. However, that would not stop me from staying again. "

"Great Place, Be Wary of Management Company
Our stay at Kona Isle was wonderful! My boyfriend and I were here for a week in March and loved the location of the place, the ease of access to the pool, and reading on the chairs while looking at the waves crashing on the shore. The apartment complex also has outdoor grills, which was an added bonus. The unit has a lot of potential to be amazing, but it's in need of some renovations. That being said, we loved our stay and would recommend for the lower price point. I'd suggest to buy at least a more comfortable bed, though, and perhaps freshen up some of the linens, etc. My biggest complaint was the management company, who did not provide good customer service. When I called the office, they assured me that my security deposit check ($1000 for one week!) would not be cashed unless there was an issue, but I found out a few days into my stay that they did cash it (they never told me, instead I saw on my bank statement). It was quite stressful and shocking to see $1000 out of my account without explanation. While I eventually got my money back two weeks later, it was quite a strange way to do business and left me with a weird feeling due to Knutson's lack of communication."

Overall this property is very run down, however if you're looking for a good cheap option in the heart of Kona, this should be considered. The rental company did their best to help and refund as needed, so I am greatful for that."

"Older but comfortable
Don't need high luxury and want a good deal? This might be the place.

Everything was clean and the location and pool were great. The unit was not just dated, but some items on the older side. A/C works great in the living room, but being a wall unit doesn't extend its reach to further parts of the unit--that should be expected. That said, no problem sleeping as the evenings and mornings are pleasantly comfortable and there's little need for the A/C then. Pool was great and it's a nice stroll down to a great view of the ocean. Once down there, turn around and you get a sweeping view of Mauna Kea. You're close to downtown Kona and Magic Sands beach as well. Easy check in, and we barely saw a single bug. For Hawaii, that's surprising!"

"Great stay for its money
We stayed here for 6 nights (only). Overall, it is a nice room with plenty of perks inside, just look around the room and go open all the doors :). Sofa and especially the mattress is quite old, so you may want to be hardly exhausted to sleep on it :). Many people to whom I talked, have chosen long-time rent/stay here, which convinced me to get back next season with my family. I liked the BBQ area and morning coffee at the deck :). Swim pool was not crowded and deep enough for my height :). Overall I would recommend this cozy place to consider for the stay."

"Loud AC

Old and rundown unit, needs major renovation. Rusted metal everywhere, dryer had excessive lint, dilapidated furniture. AC runs 24/7 and drowns out TV (need to have volume very high). No view. Abandoned pipes on kitchen wall. Towels very worn. Good hot water and pressure. Good toilet paper. After reservation completed, was then made to send $1000 cashier check or pay $49.99 for damage protection."

"Great Kona Condo
Great condo for the price! It was clean and had everything we needed. Nice clean ocean front grounds and bbq area with pool. All rental info and management were easy to get A hold of and helpful.
Great location near shopping and beaches. Assigned parking space a plus! Keyless door entry was nice as there were no keys to keep track of while on outings or at the beach (wish my rental car was also keyless). This condo saved us enough money on our trip that we were able to take a helicopter tour over the active lava flow!
We will be back!

"It Worked
The property management company was great and we were able to book at the absolute last minute, as in booking from the plane during the taxi out to the runway. We knew we would have little choice in availability due to our last minute trip and this unit is what we got for a reasonable price. The unit is well worn and dated and in need of an update or extreme deep clean at the least. The unit has been labeled as "the most vintage" in the complex for good reason. Other units in this particular development are very nice and we would certainly consider staying there again in one of the other, more updated units. The property overall is very well maintained with a great pool and barbeque area right on the water. The location is good with easy access to Kona and the surrounding area. If you go to Hawaii to hang out in your condo then this is not the unit for you. If you just need a place to sleep, shower, and keep your food cold while you enjoy the ocean and island then this unit should be fine. "

Well, the location is beautiful and the grounds and pool are well-kept. The condo, however, is tired, and needs an upgrade. The mattress is shot, the pillows are shot, and the hide a bed mattress is shot. The tub is slippery and no bath mat available.

"Needs some TLC
We were disappointed in the condo because it needs some improvements. Some of the electrical outlets are not functional, the fan in the bathroom is noisy and the frig is noisy, the sliding door doesn't look. There is limited counter space in the kitchen. It does have a comfortable bed. The TV is the size of a postage stamp and you hear the noise from the road and parking lot. "

"Great Place!
This vacation rental was great for the price. Was clean, but could use some updating. Initially, I was confused with the doorknob lock system and the key box.
Also, there was only one window air conditioner, which needed to have operating directions written out. We spent the first night without because we thought it was broken!This condo is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator or ramp to bring your belongings to. Was a struggle getting heavy luggage up those stairs.
The man made "beach area" was sufficient to catch a few morning rays, but you definitely cannot swim here! The pool was great and beautifully maintained.
The views are just gorgeous. ..the flowering shrubs, the beautiful greenery against the pool and ocean are spectacular! the ocean waves crashing on the rocks at night was so serene. Great sounds to fall asleep to. This condo is just a short walk from downtown Kona , which made our stay even more pleasant!

As I have been in this unit before, enjoy the simple goodness of this location. Other than having a phone with out service it was a good time. The lanai carpet is worn which is in need of replacement. I miss that bed already.
