Waterfront on the Annisquam River in Gloucester, this exceptional vacation rental boasts wonderful views of the river and of Ipswich Bay. You will never forget the sunsets seen from the deck or from the delightful gazebo. This home has a custom kitchen, spacious open concept living/dining room and lots of windows. There are two master bedroom suites with full baths on two separate floors as well as other additional sleeping areas. There are water views from just about every window. Multiple deck and terraced patios overlook the water and the beautiful grounds, with perennials and a gazebo for outdoor dining on those soft balmy evenings.


The historic village of Annisquam is less than a mile away. Downtown Gloucester with its great restaurants and seafaring treasures is four miles in one direction and Rockport and Bearskin Neck and the Shalin Liu Performance Center are just five miles in the other direction where you can easily explore many of the local shops and restaurants that the area has to offer.


GROUND FLOOR


Living/Dining Room: The large, open living room includes plenty of comfortable seating with spectacular views of the river and beautiful yard. The dining area includes a contemporary dining table with seating for 6 people. There is also a library filled with a variety of books and a comfortable working nook with a desk just off of the living room.

Kitchen: The custom galley kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, storage and countertops for food prep.

Half bath 1: The main floor half bath has a gorgeous stained glass window.


SECOND FLOOR

Master Bedroom 1: The second-floor master bedroom has a Queen bed with an ensuite full bath, a walk-in closet, and has water views.

Full Bathroom 1: The upper-floor master bath has a European-style, walk-in shower and a soaking tub.


GARDEN LEVEL:
Master Bedroom 2: The lower-level master bedroom has a Queen bed with an ensuite bath, a flat-screen tv, and river views. Natural light fills the room from the large windows and sliding doors to the lower-level deck and yard.

Full bath 2: The second master full bath features an enormous walk-in shower

Laundry room: The laundry area includes a washer/dryer and plenty of countertop for folding. It also connects to the garden level master bedroom.

"Great location, large 2 bedroom
Overall it was a suitable vacation rental. Location and view were excellent. Large bedrooms and baths. Fully equipped well stocked kitchen. Negatives were odor when we arrived that lasted until midweek. Should have been aired out prior to arrival. Door lock broken on back deck. Kitchen cluttered with
owners stuff. We were supposed to put trash in purples bags but none provided. Almost no tv stations, not even NESN. No ac downstairs so had to leave slide door open all night so no security. I wouldn't even mention most of these things but owner is asking for a hefty price so I feel I have a right to ask for better service in some respects. In spite of these issues,I would probably stay again."

"Very Nice.
We had a wonderful time. The view from the back deck in the morning and late evening was wonderful. Kitchen was well stocked. The store on Washington Street had great lunch items. We got in a little early, but the cleaner/realty woman was professional and worked with us. Thanks. "

"very disappointing

Initial experience looked great. You walk into the house and see beautiful views of the river and the house was nice and open. On the second day When my children arrived, our daughter stated there were ants on the counter by the baby food. The next day I spotted a bug on the counter and discovered it was a German roach. That day we killed roaches on the kitchen counter, on the wall behind the dining room table, a roach on the wall going downstairs, on the couch and downstairs in the laundry room. We notified the company that the house was infested with German roaches. The lady from Atlantic vacation homes stated they were not German roaches but maybe another buy that comes out when it's damp, but they would send an exterminator. Orkin came two days later and confirmed our worst fears. They were active German cockroaches. He was asked by AVR to contact the owner, which he did. The Orkin man was telling her that he sees live roaches throughout the house and the owner was stating that it wasn't possible. He told her ,Lady this house has roaches. There was no further follow up or contact by either the owner or Atlantic vacation homes on this issue. And beleieve me it was a real issue, every time you open a draw or cabinet you brace yourself. Also one air conditioner on the third floor is not an air conditioned property. Totally mislead and disgusted with the conditions. We had no choice but to finish our vacation in that home because it was paid for in advance. The biggest disappointment was no follow up from anyone and the denials. The took our money and ran.
