"Average Stay
We don't mind paying extra to stay at Channelview because of the privacy and security of the gate. Unfortunately the security gate was not working during our entire stay which allowed non quests to come and go on the fishing pier. The room was great but the fishing was not so great as these non quests were camped out at the end of the pier for hours at a time. "

It was nice to walk into the condo and see it so clean and shiny and new. The remodel after the storm looks great. The condo had plenty of towels, most everything we needed in the kitchen, and then some. We had another wonderful stay. "

"Beautiful but not for senior citizens
Room was beautiful, beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped. But somethings need correction. We had to wash the bathroom and kitchen towels and washcloths. Not enough for our 4 day stay. Advertised an elevator but it quit working on the 2nd day and no maintenance available to report it or correct it. Called Hospitality and the guy we talked to was ZERO HELP! Said he didn't work for the properties??? Then why was his number given for reporting maintenance issues. FINALLY on Monday the elevator started working but no one informed us of that.Yhe main reason i rented this property was for the elevator. I'm 74 years old and don't take to climbing stairs. To top it all off, the advertised lights on the pier went out at 3:43 am just as the fish started biting. The living room TV wasn't set up properly when the owner? Bought it. Maintaining came on 1st day, had to reconfigure the TV setup but we still had to use 2 remotes. Bedroom rug was curled up at the entrance creating a trip hazard. Maintenance just rolled it down, no tape etc. Next morning it was curled back up. Old people don't need any trip hazards. No weekend maintenance support. "

"Nice property
We stayed in 204, kitchen well stocked, seating and beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens. There was a nice "starter kit" of soap, shampoo. 2 problems; there are no blinds or draperies on the large living rm windows, so at night there is no privacy. Also TV remote isn't working & has been on order since 3/18/21. Mgmt was very responsive to our service request, but that didn't fix the remote. I would rent again at Channelview, but probably not 204 if they don't add window treatments. "

"Great Condo, close to everything
Overall very good stay. Great condo and location. One suggestion is to make sure to give guests the correct gate code. Also two days to get hot water in shower fixed is to long. Loved the trip and will definitely be back."

"Channelview 2020
We have been staying at Channelview for many years. We have love staying here in the past. The repairs and changes made to pool and replacing the old office building was a great improvement. We were in room 204, which most furshings seemed new, in fact I thing we must have been first people to stay since it was remolded. When we turned on the Hot water there was air coming out of the faucet for several minutes. The water temperature was barely warm from shower or any facet. The placement of the Microwave under the counter is a terrible place for a Microwave. To difficult to try to operate.
There was no information on WiFi sign on or and information on Cable TV channels availability. We are not sure if we will stay here or somewhere else when we return to Port A.
One of the other thinks that we disliked was the required wristband for guest. The property is now Gated so why have wristbands? The Port A Escape's office needs to improve their communications. We never received the txt mag with instructions on how to get our property keys and the gate code on the paperwork was NOT correct. We had to call to get the correct code to open the gate. I am not sure I would recommend this property or not based on our stay this time. "

"Ask before you book.
Slip & slide carpet in familyroom. No padding. Broken glass globe on lamp, "dead" bulbs, non working clock & clock radio, dead cockroach in bedroom & flying gnats in kitchen & bathroom, door stop under bathroom door (pesty), closet doors off track, refrig/freezer froze up & we were interrupted by repair people (only second one knew what he was doing & fixed it, cruddy kitchen cookware/utensils/dishes/glasses, cigarette smoke in hallway penetrated into unit. It's all broken, fix it!"

"good location on ship channel
First this unit had terrible internet service! Also I had to go outside to talk on my cell phone. The unit could use some Updates and paint. But the area was quiet and the condo was comfortable. We were stuck in the elevator for about 10-15 minutes. So I really didn't trust going on it again and use the stairs. It was nice to have the parking garage and we felt safe in the unit. "

"Channelview 204 Vacation 2017
The unit was very outdated - probably hasn't been updated since the building was built! There wasn't even a plug-in in the bathroom for drying our hair after taking a shower! The review of the unit said that the washer and dryer was just across the hall. That was not true at all! The laundry facility was on the 1st floor at the end of the building. For the amount we paid for this unit, we did not feel it was worth it at all! We have stayed in time-share units MUCH nicer than this unit. Would not stay there again!"

"First time in Port A
Very charming rental. Our stay was even more pleasant because of room 204's charm, cleanliness and funtionality. Everything you need and a nice view to boot! The private peir experience in the evenings was awesome. There were fish, dolphins and pelicans each night.
Overall it was comfortable accommodations and clean. Loved the king size bed!"

Loved the location and condo was clean but VERY dated. The bed seemed a little worn out...the shower needs some updating. But it was clean. In the description of this condo a washer and dryer was listed. There was not one in the condo... disappointing. Also didn't realize that not all the condo's were lacking balconies. I would not come back if i couldn't rent a condo with a balcony. Also 4 check in is too late in afternoon, fortunately, I was able to check in around 2 but only because i was persistent. "
