This large 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo is located on the 6th floor of this complex. It is approximately 1475 square feet of comfortable living space with a 30 foot private balcony that overlooks the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The master bedroom which faces the beach has a King size bed. The large guest bedroom has 2 Double beds. The living room has a Queen size sofa sleeper and a recliner for your comfort. There are 2 TV's, DVD/VCR and High speed internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size washer and dryer for your convenience in a separate laundry room.

Cancellations to any reservation results in forfeiture of $200.00 advance rent deposit. Changes to the booking have to be made Thirty (30) days prior to arrival for Short Term reservations. Sixty (60) days prior to arrival for Monthly reservations. Once final balance is paid there are NO REFUNDS due to cancellation. If you have purchased Travel Insurance with CSA you would need to contact them with questions regarding claims.1-866-4018

Full payment is due fourteen (14) prior to arrival for SHORT TERM reservations. Please make payments in the form of traveler's checks, bank money orders, cashier’s checks, or a personal check if not we will bill your credit card on file for these charges.

We stayed in 609 for 3 months. We enjoyed it very much. The colors are beautiful and the new master bathroom is wonderful. Also our guests loved the extra door to the second bedroom. Said it felt like having their own suite. Please, please hang the medicine cabinet that’s in the master closet in the master bathroom"

"Great location!
The location right on the beach was great. The condo was nice and clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. A couple negatives, dishwasher was gross and rusty on the inside so I hand washed all the dishes. One side of the kitchen countertop was sagging a couple inches from its original location, this was very noticeable because you could see where the wall paint stopped and the caulk was torn between the countertop and wall. The one shower head was pretty clogged and didn’t hardly spray. Overall I would still give this a good rating because the beach was great it slept a bunch of people. This was why we choose this property. "

"609 is fine, but rental company is problematic
We stayed at Surf Dweller through Alicia Hollis last year and had no problem but year was different. We had booked Surf Dweller 102 this year specifically because it was on the 1st floor. When we arrived 5/13/2023, we did what we always do when checking in to a motel or condo, we checked for bugs before we brought anything in. One of the beds in the guest room had a dead bug between the egg carton mattresses on the bed. It looked like a bed bug to me, but my daughter reverse image searched and she thought it looked like a cockroach nymph. We also found a live cockroach crawling on the headboard of the bed in the main bedroom. There were dead cockroaches along the baseboards and live cockroaches behind the refrigerator. We called the after-hours number and the young man on-call was very responsive and had us in a new condo (609) within 30 minutes. He advised that staff from the office would call us Monday to discuss the issues with 102. He was really the best thing about our interactions with Alicia Hollis Rental staff. Condo 609 was bug free and was where we ended up staying all week. The condo is out dated (except for the main bathroom which looked to be newly renovated) and could have used a paint job and the carpet cleaned. However, fancy isn't our main concern so it was fine. Everything worked as it should and above all, it was clean and bug free. Back to the situation with 102. No one from Alicia Hollis Rental company ever called us after we were moved. When I dropped off the key on 5/20/23 I asked why no one had contacted us and was told that the staff member and the owner inspected 102 and there were no bugs. When asked about the bug on the bed, she said, "that was just an old dried up thing." She continued to insist that there were no bugs in the property. We had pictures we emailed her confirming the presence of bugs, but we received no response from that email. I wish I could post pictures here."

"Wonderful Condo on Ft Walton Beach
We rented Surf Dweller -Unit 609. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable as well. I loved the sliding doors to the porch off the master bedroom. The bathrooms were clean and had lots of storage space. The kitchen had everything we needed. This unit could use a little updating, but was wonderful. "

"Our stay in at surf dweller
We did not have a tv remote in master bedroom.
Beds in guest room had either been broken and tried to be fixed , but they were not level. Alot of issues with previous renters.
Chris from office called and told me about them and the maintenance person came and looked at all the issues and wrote them down. I really appreciate that. Our grandson and his family were in this condo.
The master bedroom ac doesnt have good air flow , the room stays really hot in there. It needs to looked at . All the vents need to be cleaned out."

"Spacious, comfortable, great view and access to beach
The location was close to the beach and a great mid point between the end of the island and the pier. Beach was clean. If weather was not good for the gulf - the pool was a great option to hang out. Another review mentioned the carpet was dirty and had stains. Would concur on that - but overall the condo was clean. "

"Review of Surfdweller 609
Overall,we were satisfied with our stay. We give the living room and bedroom an A. The dining room furniture a B. The kitchen paint is beautiful but an amature job. Very old cabinets. I bought some cereal and serving bowls which we left there. Also untensils are not up to standard. The guest bath has new wallpaper but the floor is really bad. The master bathroom gets an F. The bedroom lampshade on the right needs to be replaced. Property was clean. The view is wonderful.
Our property manager professional Chris gets an A+. She is professional, works very hard and is extremely nice. Yes I do and have recommended this property"

We were under the impression there were TVs in both bedrooms. One room did, but one didn't. That room, which we were told the TV was broken, was in a closet in the room. When we arrived at the room, one of the bathrooms was locked. There was also another closet that was locked. We figured it was a closet we were not to enter. On the last day, we shined a light in that closet and apparently there were towels in that closet that I assume we were to have used?? The most scariest part of our trip was my diabetic husband was trapped in a hot elevator for almost 30 minutes. The stuck elevator happened to several families during the week."

"Great place to stay for family and/or business travel
Surf Dweller is our favorite place to stay in Ft. Walton. All of the suites have 2-bedrooms, a full kitchen and great views overlooking the beach. This particular suite had a tile floor in the entryway and kitchen, making it easier to keep clean, and a laundry area with a washer and dryer. We appreciate that they accept a per diem rate for business travel. The real estate office was very helpful and easy to work with."

"Wonderful experience!
We enjoyed our experience very much. Found our accommodations to be very comfortable and loved the proximity to the beach and restaurants and town. We found our sofas to be worn and a little more than dated. The toilet in guest bedroom had worn out hinges and rocked off floor a little. These improvements would be great, however, we found our stay to be wonderful despite these needed updates! Thank you!"

"Family Crowd
Nice enough of a rental, since that's how people appear to treat the entire family oriented resort. Be prepared for lots of kids, noise, slamming doors, and the kind of messes people like that leave behind. The unit above this one must have laminate or tile floors throughout because you can her every chair scrape/drag, running/leaping children, and dropping of shoes."
