The condo is nice. It's perfectly located - right on the beach and within walking distance (few min) to shopping/dinning. Bikes are a big plus. You can ride on the beach or on shaded trails.

The view from this unit was awesome. Very clean and well maintained and decorated. Love the open kitchen, the balcony was set up, chairs for beach and bikes included with rental was a nice perk. My husband appreciated that the elevator is now up and running. The ease to the beach was also wonderful. Was a very relaxing and nice trip. Thank You"

"First HHI visit
Location and view were unbeatable! Some maintenance is required on the screen slider as it opens and closes roughly and will actually lock on its own! My husband was out on the balcony and had closed the screen, it locked and he couldn’t get back in without me opening it from the inside. The front entry door appears bent at the bottom corner beneath the handle leaving fairly sizable gaps along the side and bottom. The rest of the condo was clean and was fine to stay in."

"Great location!
Pros: Terrific location! Walking distance to restaurants, grocery, and lots of shops. Comfortable bed. Loved the bikes!
Cons: Needs a deep cleaning. Grout in the tile floors is very dirty. You can see daylight under the front door. Balcony seems unstable. "

" Rent has increased by over 61% :(
Loved my winter stay. Location and view is spectacular. Unit had folding beach chairs, bikes, unit was very clean and all inorder. I have no complaints. Unfortunately the rent has increased by over 61% so had to find another more afforable unit for next year of which there were several with same view and location at Breakers, so I am grateful I can return to this wonderful location next Winter. "

339 Breakers was perfect size for the 2 of us. Great location on HHI, and the view of the beach/ocean from the large balcony was phenomenal. Unit is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed (except sheets for the fold out sofa so ask ahead if you will be using it). Management company was very quick to respond to questions before the stay and needs during our stay. Was an ideal vacation!"

"Breakers 339
The unit was nice but not too clean. There were dirty dishes, the pull out sofa was dirty, popcorn and other debris on the floor, no pillow cases. I called Island Rentals of HHI and they seemed rude like I was bothering them. We were also absolutely not able to check in before 4pm, whether the unit was ready or not. The ad also said the pull out had a brand new memory foam mattress. It was not new, evident by liquid stains that had soaked thru to the bottom side of it, and was more a piece of foam than a mattress. You could feel every metal bar under it. "

The condo was perfectly situated with lots of restaurants and shopping across the street. Also across the street from the bike path. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was limited in pots and pans but other than that, a great place to stay."

"Satisfactory. Clean the Bathroom Better.
A cozy...very cozy...condo in a great location. Tastefully renovated, probably about 5 years ago, and showing distinct signs of wear/tear from heavy usage. Well stocked and ready when promised. Dealings with the rental company were good. The biggest ding I have for this property is the cleanliness of the bathroom. The floor and floorboards were caked with dirt and grime. It was really bad. Needs a DEEP clean. I will recommend this property only after the bathroom is properly cleaned."

This was our third stay at the breakers and we liked this unit better than the others. The view is amazing, the unit updated and clean. Glad to see they're installing an elevator, just wish it had been working while we were there since this unit is on the 3rd floor."

"Location Great, Property Awful!
Other than the location I can't say anything nice about the unit we stayed in. Our first disappointment when we arrived was that there was no elevator and we were on the the third floor! We had to climb 48 stairs to get to our unit, which took several trips when unpacking our things.
The floors in the entire unit were filthy. Every time we walked barefoot the bottoms turned black. The air conditioner while it cooled left all of our clothes and linens feeling damp. The tub drain was so slow, you stood in dirty water while showering.The cleaning crew must have known the problem, because they pulled out the drain plug and left it on the tub edge. The glass door runner was broken, which caused it to stick. Oh, and the bathroom door didn't completely close!
When I opened the cabinet under the kitchen sink the wood panel in front of the sink fell off! The two stove burner trays were encrusted and so black I don't think they were ever cleaned! The patio sliding glass door lock was broken and the supposedly new sofa sleeper was uncomfortable and needed a cleaning.
Our first morning we found out he toaster was broken, because the only way to stop the burning was to pull the plug!
They did replace it when I complained and also offered to send someone up to do repairs, but I declined because I wasn't going to loose beach time, and I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my things unattended.
The final straw was when I decided to wash the sheets and pillow cases midweek and found that there was NO mattress cover, NO pillow covers and both mattress and pillows were stained! It literally made me feel sick. I documented all of this with photographs and intend to send them along, with a quote from the contract they sent us stating,"...WE ARE METICULOUS WHEN IT COMES TO CLEANING. ADDITIONALLY, WE TRY TO ADDRESS ANY MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS (E.G., AIR CONDITIONING, BATHROOM AND KITCHEN REPAIRS, ETC.)DURING THAT TIME SO THAT YOU ARE NOT DISTURBED DURING YOUR STAY.

"Great Getaway
Great location and perfect for end of summer couples getaway. Awesome sunrise views to sit on balcony with coffee and enjoy. Shops and restaurants are plentiful and near. Elevator was down which would’ve been nice being on third floor. Overall we highly recommend this place. "

"Great place, great location
We were very pleased with everything about our stay. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. It was great to have the washer and dryer. Condo was also close to shopping, and restaurants. We enjoyed waking up to the sights and sounds of the ocean and eating fresh steamed shrimp on the balcony."

We loved our time here at the Breakers in North Forest Beach. The views were excellent in our villa and the location to restaurants and shopping was so easy to walk. The stairs were plenty when moving in but easy to manage after that. Had a wonderful time."

"Great Unit for Couple's Getaway
After a long cold winter in NJ and COVID restrictions, HHI was the perfect post vaccination getaway. This unit was tidy, nicely furnished and the ocean view was fantastic. This rental is central to Coligny park with restaurants, shops, bars, and grocery store right across the street. The bikes included with the rental were a nice bonus and the bike paths are great. This unit is on the 3rd floor (46 steps) so we got our exercise, but they were working on installing an elevator while we were there. The only things I would have added to this unit are a permanent coffee filter, and a comfy mattress pad. We would rent this unit again for a couple's getaway; I think it would be tight for 4 adults."

"Best spot on the island
The condo was as described. It was immaculate. It was well appointed, the kitchen is well supplied and there are plenty of towels and sheets etc.
it would be prudent to warn guests about the flights of stairs as the elevator is not working. Not a problem for us but prior to my knee replacement it sure would have been. Also one day the maintenance people were actually in our deck with their equipment (very loud) it was ok because we were on the beach and then were leaving for dinner but again prior warning would have been nice, a simple more or text. We had trouble with the cable company with cable going on and off. My husband had to reboot TVs almost every time we wanted them on, totally get that, we experience same often at our own home.
The unit is perfectly furnished and we had a great vacation and plan to come back. Hopefully next time we can use the elevator to pack n unpack as I always bring way too much stuff ��

"Relaxing week
The unit was exactly what we expected from the booking. Plenty of storage and the amenities made our stay very comfortable and pleasurable. The view from the balcony was awesome. The carpet on deck needs to be removed as the floor was wet hours after a rain. Will definitely plan on renting again.

"Beautiful Condo 339
This unit at The Breakers was absolutely beautiful & very close to the ocean.. Was able to just wake up & look off the balcony close.. Definitely well worth checking into new memories at The Breakers each year as we’ve had for the last three.. Totally loved 339 & enjoyed the opportunity to call this our own for the week we were here.. The bikes were actually here this year & easy to find for our pleasure unlike the last two years we stayed at The Breakers (different units) We definitely plan on returning next year for a family vacation hopefully 339 if available & look very forward to making more memories at The Breakers! "Great week at the beach!
Our first time being oceanfront and completely loved 339! If any complaint at all, an elevator might have been helpful but the other exercise up 3 floors was much needed as well lol! Charming and as about as close as we wanted to be to Coligny. Our family has been coming to HHI for years and always been close to Coligny :-) wonderful and relaxing :-)"

"Perfect spot on the beach
We very much enjoyed our stay in 339 The Breakers. The unit was clean and nicely decorated, and had a great view of the ocean. We had a problem with the coffeemaker, reported it to Island Rentals, and by the time we returned later in the day had a brand new coffeemaker waiting for us. We would rent this unit again."

"Mother - Daughter Trip
Breakers 339 was a beautiful unit! We have been coming and renting all over the the island for 30 years and needed a smaller condo this time since there were just the 2 of us. We wanted something near Coligny with great beach access. It didn't disappoint. Decor was perfect, amenities were great and when we had a small issue with the TV on Saturday and was taken care of immediately. These owners care about the condo! Everything looked wonderful and we will definitely return. "

"Needs a little TLC
The unit was fantastically decorated as well as had a great view and location. That being said it was severely lacking in the cleaning department. It may be that I'm a property manager so I have an eye for these things but... The baseboard moulding was filthy, the lights above the vanity mirror in the bathroom were caked in dust, the shower curtain was stained and the shower had a dirty ring around the bottom of it. The vents we're also in need of some serious dusting. Lastly, the inside of the coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned. "

"Great Rental
This is a cozy and comfortable condo. Though it is small there is a lot of storage space. Their is no oven but there are burners and a microwave. It is perfect for 2 people. The view is spectacular ! My only suggestion would be to replace carpet on the deck. It really has seen better days.
This was our 50th anniversary celebration. We had a great time. Everything you need is within walking distance, restaurants, shops and a grocery store.
Br prepared for walking up and down the stairs to the condo. There is no elevator. This was not a problem for us. "

WONDERFUL AND RELAXING The ONLY thing we were VERY DISSATISFIED with was the washing smelled like mold and mildew..We tried cleaning it several times and even brought a washing machine cleaning tablet but it still smelled!!! It smelled so bad, it made you gag!!!"

"Don't stay there
I didn't stay there. Thought you might have communicated with your customer service folks and known that. The patio sagged when you stepped out on it, (made you wonder if it was going rot right thru) I needed to step outside because of the mold which eventually caused me to have an asthma attack while I was still trying to deal with the customer service folks. I left and went to the Holiday Inn."

"A place to sleep.
We have been to Hilton head 8 or 9 times now and each time we have stayed in a different breaker villa. While the location of this one which faces the ocean and is 1 of the better views That's about as far as it goes. Our children slept on the pull out couch which was horrible, very used. The beach chairs that were at the unit were ripped and broken so they were not usable, The attic access was falling out of the ceiling, and the unit lacked an oven. Overall It was a decent stay as it was simply a place to lay our heads We would never rent this unit again. The unit next foor was being renovated during our stay so there were sounds of drywall sanding, carpet being installed etx... The pics are very decieving. The Property was spotless when we arrived, cleaning company did a great job. "

"Great HHI Getaway
Very pleasant stay in a well appointed oceanfront accommodation. Everything we needed was within a short walk. The beach, grocery, unique clothing boutiques (Bennali's & Fresh Produce) and intimate dining (The Vine) were all within minutes of the front door. Everything within the unit exceeded our expectations and was up-to-date. Perfect for a couple looking to relax at the beach. "

"Perfect getaway for two!
My husband and I really enjoyed our end of summer getaway in Hilton Head. 339 Breakers had everything we needed for two people. More than two people would definitely be crowded though. Bed was comfortable, the washer and dryer came in very handy, and the kitchen was perfect for what we needed. The room was updated very nicely. The closet space in the hallway was perfect! Love that they took out the bunk beds for this added storage. We also loved that the bikes were included. Only gave 4 stars on condition because the couch was not very comfortable. I can't imagine having to sleep on it, which is why I say it's great for two people. Also, the location was perfect! Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!"

Condo 339 was beautiful! Loved the view of the beach! It has been recently renovated and has brand new appliances. Loved having the front load washer and dryer! The patio deck was roomy with comfortable chairs. We have no complaints and will definitely book again. "

"Great beach condo for a couple!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at 339 Breakers. The best part is definitely the location and the view. The beach access is so easy, and it is also close to a lot of restaurants and shops. We spent a lot of time on the balcony, which did not seem unsafe or sagging at all like one guest had mentioned. The unit is small, without an oven or a dining table, but this was fine for us as we planned to eat most meals out. We did cook breakfast in the condo every day, and lunch a few days. It would be cramped with more than 2 people or maybe 2 plus a child. The unit was perfectly clean in our opinion, and we did not appreciate any mold smell like another guest mentioned. The complex was quiet, and while we didn't spend any time at the pool it seemed nice. For the price this was a very nice unit, especially with that beach front view! One suggestion for the owners is to consider a DVD player and some movies as it would have been nice to have this on some cooler nights. "
