"Nice Tahoe Home
Nice home, well equipped. Convenient to south Tahoe and Tahoe City. Filtered views of lake. Nice deck with BBQ and hot tub. Only negative is that it overlooks a very busy road and therefore the traffic noise is quite loud. Kinda takes away from the peaceful ambience of the lake and woods."

"Nice and convenient house near the lake
We had a very nice stay at the lake house. It was very quiet even though it is close to the road. Kitchen and deck were great as was the hot tub. Just be aware that the pool table is not actually full sized and the cue sticks are tiny with no felt tips. We are not serious about pool so it didn’t really matter. Overall a very cozy and roomy place to stay."

"Lovely quiet getaway
We had a wonderful home. The home is well cared for and on a mellow location. Walking to Meeks Bay is the biggest bonus of all. It takes less than 10 minutes and it’s one of our favorite beaches.
The beds are cozy, the house is clean, even the stove is nice. Eating and grilling on the back deck is lovely. The hot tub is a bonus! We’ve stayed twice and will come again. "

"Great location
Our family of 3 adult children and one son-in-law stayed in this lovely home. The place was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, blender, utensils, but there were zero condiments in the fridge. Also, we were only allotted 3 garbage bags, 3 pkgs of dishwasher soap and 2oz of dish soap for 6 days. I attempted to contact the management team prior to arrival if there was a hair dryer, but never did have personal contact with anyone (there is a hair dryer). Couches were comfortable and loved that there was plenty of seating both in the dining room and on the deck. The hot tub was clean and worked great, a nice place to be after a long day of hiking. "

"THE CABIN WAS GREAT . . . EXCEPT
The cabin interior is aesthetically pleasing with all the knotty pine, massive stone fireplaces, and all the windows, plus it is beautifully decorated and the deck is wonderful with peeks of the lake through the trees. And the guest cottage is a real plus for guests! The cabin is, however, just above the highway so renters should be aware there is a lot of highway noise. That said, the place could have been better equipped in some areas - such as the kitchen needs a set of mixing bowls; the rough bathroom floors need more mats; there should be more information available on how to run the duel system TV; and although they were "OK", the beds were not all that comfortable. The master bed, in particular, had a big lump in the middle of it that kept us rolling to the edge on either side. Overall, it was a pretty good place and the location can't be beat - especially if your beach destination is Meeks Bay! I might recommend this rental to a friend, but I would let them know the downsides to it and let them make their own decision about it."

really nice home. games need updating. need a few more dishes, like bigger bowls for mixing or is pretty close to the water, I wouldn't walk there with kids because of the busy road. not a far drive to the water. Had a great time!"

"Amazing cabin in a beautiful part of the lake
Drove up to Tahoe for my girlfriends birthday, got snowed in there for a week with over 4 ft of snow. Felt like we were in a snow globe! Cooked a lot of meals, watched dvds, walked around the neighborhood and got engaged in the snow. Was one of the best weeks of my life "

"Very clean and family ready
This house was very clean. We were able to sleep all three kids in the main house with us, but they loved hanging out in the guest house. The house is a 10 minute walk downhill to Meeks Bay beach. You can see Lake Tahoe through the trees from the deck. The kitchen and bathrooms are all clean and up to date. "

Nice home for a family or couples to share. Location is great for access to some of the best state parks at Tahoe. The hot tub is great. Beds are comfortable. Only downside is the lack of usable WiFi. The deck, grill, kitchen, front room and the guest space separated from the main house are all fantastic. "

"Nice but needs work
On the whole this property met all of our needs, it could use a few revisions, such as an exterminator. Those big Sierra Nevada ants were everywhere inside the house, including the bed. It was an ordeal to get my daughter to sleep every night after we found an ant in her bed (multiple times). There were also June bugs and mayflies indoors. Bears paw marks were on the windows and tracks in the dirt (clearly nothing one can do about that!) The beds are also 500 years old - way too sift. Will not he staying here again until those items are changed, otherwise, o enjoyed the spaciousness and location of this rental. "

My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter visited from Australia. My sister and brother-in-law from ID had not seen them in 5 years so we decided to meet in Tahoe. This was a great place for that meeting. Well supplied home in a beautiful location. Close to Meeks Bay and a short drive to Stateline. Everything went smoothly from checking-in to check-out. We were very satisfied. "

"Perfect winter getaway
We wanted a nice isolated cabin getaway with snow and mountains, and this house was absolutely perfect! Views were gorgeous, the house was extremely comfortable, and we had a blast. I was a little uneasy about dealing with a property management company rather than an individual homeowner, but First Accommodations was great (they always responded within minutes while we were there). All in all, amazing stay, and I definitely hope to repeat this trip again someday in this house."

"Nice house with custom design touches
The house was as advertised and perfect for two families with grade-school aged kids. Adults in the main house and kids in the guest house worked beautifully. The hot tub was great after skiing. Location is perfect for Homewood. WiFi didn’t work for us and the pots and pans need refreshing. Otherwise, we loved the house and the custom rustic finishes. "

"Perfect winter hideout
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this super comfortable home. We enjoyed over 40" of snow. All the major ski areas a short drive away. This was the perfect house to come home to. Two fireplaces, one gas warms up the room instantly. Hot tup, 3 comfortable bedrooms with full baths, well equipped kitchen, large deck with grill and 40 inches of snow! First Accommodations was at the other end of the phone each time we reached out. We'll be back. "

"Nice and cozy
Very nice property with ample room for 8 guests. The fireplace in the living room added a cozy touch. Conveniently located with a nice view of the lake from the back deck.
The rental company was prompt to respond.
The only downside was that the wifi doesn't seem to work, but cell service in the area is fine!"

"A wonderful Westshore Find
Firstly, the First Accommodations staff were very prompt and in their communication throughout the process of first booking the property and then during our stay. The cabin was clean and perfect for our group and it was extremely quiet and close to the lake.
The hot tub stopped working at one point and First Accommodations addressed and fixed the issue that day! There is a path down to the beach that took us a little while to find but once we found it it was extremely convenient. There were some issues with the house where we struggled to work the lights and the internet was extremely slow for us. Overall an extremely wonderful experience and stay!"

"Good Location
Great location...able to walk to beach down the street and down a dirt path to Meek's Bay Beach carrying a light load. Liked that the property is on one level. A bit dirty on the outside and deck is dated and not in good shape. Patio furniture is very old. Kitchen was not well organized and only 4 place mats for an 8 person home. There were very few glasses and no wine glasses...but Trent on the management team was kind enough to bring us new ones. They need to fix all the fans in the home and TV's were hard to work with no instructions. We loved the outlay of the home and had plenty of room...but it could have been a little cleaner. We would come back again ... for the location but hope that the house would be cleaner and more updated if we were to return."

"Great house
The house was great. Nice and clean and cozy. The only issue was the deck was very dirty with pine needles and bottle caps and some garbage. The patio furniture was a bit dirty as well. Luckily my husband found a blower in the garage and he did it so we could enjoy our morning coffee on the deck. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Perfect retreat
Our stay was comfortable, convenient and relaxing. We were in the area for a wedding at Meeks Bay resort, so this was a perfect place for 3 couples + kids. The location was perfect for our weekend, and would ideal for anyone wanting to spend time in Meeks bay, or just relaxing at the house with gorgeous views. The only negative was the smokey sky from the fires in the area, but luckily it didn't effect our view too much. "

"Great location and great property manager
We stayed at Irongate Lodge (there really are well-fashioned iron gates) Aug 12 - 18. This home accommodates a large group, with two bedrooms and several queen sofa sleepers in the main house, and a queen a sofa sleeper in the guest house. The property is well maintained, the main house has a large kitchen, family room and dining room. The kitchen and family room are an open space, so entertaining is easy. The location is perfect: 10 min walk (or less) through a neighborhood path to Meeks Bay, close to great hiking and vistas, and of the beaten path enough to be quiet. The PDQ Tahoma Market is 3.3 miles north, and has everything you would need in a pinch.
We had a wonderful time with family. We were in the main house with 2 of our children, and rotating family stayed in the guest house. I would take off in the morning to swim in the lake (Consider a wetsuit for this. It's a bit bracing.)
One of the best things about our stay was First Accommodations. Trent and his team were very responsive to any requests. We are impressed with the quality of the people and the business. "

"Lake Tahoe west shore home
Our family had a very nice stay at this lovely home just above the banks of the west shore. We loved the design, decor and amenities to include the hot tub. It seems that a large community perched just above the lake would have some sort of beach access but private property separates these homes from the lake.The short drive to Meeks bay proved to be our best option to enjoy the lake front.The location was perfect for exploring the west shore to include Emerald Bay, Tahoe City and Squaw Valley. Would love to return sometime for some winter fun."

"Delightful, comfortable, spacious home near Meeks Bay
We were two couples (celebrating our 40th anniversaries) & making our first-ever visit to Lake Tahoe. Our accommodations at this property were excellent. Huge windows in all the rooms afforded great, sunny views of the woodsy surroundings. We enjoyed the large comfortable deck for breakfasts and lunches ... and for just relaxing. The kitchen was huge and very well equipped. After lots of great hikes (Eagle Lake & Falls, Emerald Bay and Sugar Pine State Park as well as down to Meeks Bay Beach and Marina) we really enjoyed a dip in the hot tub each evening after dinner. House was spotless and decor was very attractive. We would recommend it highly."

Property description was very complete and accurate. The property is quite comfortable, very clean, with hot tub well-maintained. The property manager was very accessible - good customer service. The one drawback for us was the 4pm check-in, and 10am check-out, which means the customer really loses 2 days at the house. A later check-out (perhaps even one hour later...) would have been appreciated."

"Great Location, Quiet, Clean, Lots of Space
We stayed two nights. The interior is more luxurious than the usual places we rented, and the hot tub was definitely a plus. Two fireplaces -- one gas, one wood -- were available to give the place a nice and cozy feeling for the cooler nights. We really enjoyed the location and walking distance to the beach."

"Amazing home !
The house is beautiful, it literally makes you feel at home . It is quiet and tastefully decorated with a lot of nice details from a local artist . The guest house is great and independent, and the rooms were even bigger than I imagined . One of us ended up sleeping in one of the sofas and it was very comfortable . By the time of our vacation we didn't figure out in advance the resort we were skiing in, so location was good for us . Keep in mind it is a 45 minute ride to Squaw and more than an hour if you are going to Heavenly. Homewood is nearby but had few snow . The jacuzzi is amazing, but you need to bring towels. Be sure you are out of the property at 10 sharp, otherwise the cleaning crew can be rude. But the management was good, everything spotless. "

"Great Getaway!
We had a great time at Irongate Lodge. The house didn't completely meet our expectations based solely from the online pictures. This is an older house that has been recently renovated. 99% of the property is clean and well-maintained. The house is in a great location with several attractions nearby. The bathrooms are new, nice and clean! The beds are very comfortable. The jacuzzi was one of the reasons we picked this house but unfortunately it was a bit dirty (hence the 99%). We brought our 21' boat which fit nicely behind the driveway gates. If you have a boat the closest launch is at Obexer's. The water is to low to launch at Meeks. There is an old fussball table in the garage but it's falling apart so be careful with your kids around it. If you want to play pool bring some chalk for the cues. There is a note that the refrigerator takes 24 hours to cool down... be patient... it's true but when it does it's nice and cold. The only TV that supports HDMI (for your Xbox) is the master bedroom. The wireless internet does not reach the room attached to the garage. Overall we were very happy with the house and it will surely be on our future rental list.

"Meeks Bay Vacation
This was our second time staying at this house during the summer and it was very enjoyable. The house is decorated beautifully and the house and cottage sure roomy enough so that our family of 5 and a guest have plenty of room. The only recommendation I have is to supply more plates and we were missing a pitcher for juice. We've had rentals so I know it's sometimes hard to manage kitchen supplies but more of those two would ha d been helpful."
