The fabulous Keawakapu Beach is just a short 10 minute stroll from the Palms at Wailea. This beach is world famous for its great snorkeling and long walking beach. The Palms at Wailea is a gorgeous property; lush with tropical landscaping. There is a large pool and hot tub that is perfect for sunbathing and has a magnificent view of the ocean from the pool area. It is located on the coveted inner circle with lovely tropical landscaping of palms, flowering ginger and hibiscus and the babbling brook that flows down the hill.

This unit is most desirable for its proximity to the pool and the expansive lawns of the inner circle. It has level entry just steps from your designated parking place. It is fully air conditioned. There is a king bed in the master and a queen sofa bed both with pillow top mattress pads. This condo has two full baths, lush towels and high thread count linens, a fully equipped kitchen, featuring Cuisinart cookware, coffee maker, 4 slice toaster, rice cooker and an Oster blender for those relaxing tropical drinks. The condo has its own washer and dryer. There are 2 TVs. The TV in the living room is a 40 inch flat screen LCD , DVD player, free high speed internet with WIFI.
Unit 1209 provides easy to carry beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach mats, a tote bag, sand pail and shovel, 2 boogie boards and a large cooler on wheels. The covered wrap around lanai can be accessed from both the living room and bedroom and is surfaced with new Italian porcelain tile. It has a dining set, sitting area with love seat, chairs and coffee table as well as a Weber gas BBQ grill and two lounge chairs with cushions. In addition there is free long distance to the US mainland and Canada. Sleeps 4.

Only complaint were the neighbors above. We could hear the sliding door open every time, coughing, tv and the chair movement. Such a beautiful complex with the open area below the pool and short walk to beach. "

"Pretty Good
We have stayed at the Palms at Wailea before and we know that many of the units might need some renovation. This unit has has a new master bathroom and the powder room got a new toilet and sink. Overall, the unit was in good condition, but the floors were a little dirty upon our arrival. It was fairly well stocked, but not the most organized or consistent dishes and glassware. But we found everything we needed. I think the problem was that the owner had just sold the unit and so she hadn’t really invested much time in making it ‘homey’ like other units we’ve stayed in. Overall, it was fine, and I would guess that the new owners will add some nice touches."

"Holiday in maui
The only problem I had was property was sold and agent needed to come in while we were there , their is no safe at this location and our passports and cash are not in safe , he came in did what he had to do buy left the sliding door to patio unlocked . Nothing was taken but this is why you don’t let people into your place when their is not a safe present . The only other thing that it did not have was a beach , we had to pack up our gear and drive to beach, other than that place is clean ,washer ,dryer should be upgraded other than that place is quiet ,clean nice area "

"Palms at Wailea 1209
Generally happy with property, but only after 2 maintenance fixes. Air conditioning made annoying rattling sounds - made sleeping difficult first 2 nights. Maintenance showed up and diagnosed a rusted diverter valve in compressor/
condenser. Temporary repair fixed problem.
Telephones rarely worked, but were replaced in our second week.
Rentals Maui very cooperative.
Condo good choice for avoiding direct summer sun.

The bad - (not the fault of the property owner) on the inner court at the Palms, sound would carry a long way. Proximity to pool (about 80 yards) made use of the lanai difficult and uncomfortable; there was a constant flow of shouts, yells, children squeals, and crying. Afternoon naps here require earplugs in the bedroom.
I called Outrigger management and they would not help.
We like the property itself but would never rent again because of the noise."

"The Palms is a beautiful, cheerful spot
We enjoyed our month long stay very much - went by too quickly. This location is great for beautiful walks in several directions in the mornings. The beaches are not far away and it will nice to have a food market at The Shops next year. 1209 was neat, clean and well appointed. The comfortable bed, pretty bedding and beach supplies much appreciated. All I wanted for was a proper ironing board and cover. We have stayed in this unit before and other than bemoaning the price increase we love it."

"Great condo, great location, great time!
This was our second stay in this exact unit (#1209) in the past two years (first with our 1-year old daughter, this time as a couple) - needless to say, this is our favourite place to stay. The location is great as the beaches on this side of the island are our favourites and you are only a short drive to other popular destinations. The condo itself is perfectly stocked, clean, and bright. We enjoyed our regular walks to the beach to watch the sunset each evening. We highly recommend this condo!"

"Beautiful Complex - Very well maintained
I enjoyed my stay very much and would not hesitate to recommend The Palm to others. My only issue is the location. I love the beach and having easy access to it. As spotless and well-manicured as The Palms was, it was still a 4-5 block walk along the sidewalk to get to the Wailea oceanfront walkway. Also, there was no view of the ocean and sunsets from my unit.
I do not want to sound like I am a complainer, as I had a really great time, but since you are asking for my opinion, I must say that in the future I will search out condos located right on the ocean so that I don't have to walk alongside vehicular traffic to get to the beach. I want to be right on the beach.
Had great service from Kathy Englert. All the paperwork and arrangement for keys was very comvenient and would not hesitate to deal with her again.
However, next time I want to wake up and go to sleep to the sounds of the waves crashing in!
