"Very musty smell

"Time Travel does exist.
No longer will my son have to ask me what it was like to grow up without Internet or Cable TV since it didn't work for the first three days we were there. He also won't have to ask what it was like growing up poor with appliances that only had two burners working and shelves that fell out of the refrigerator when we opened the door the first time. (The silicon caulking that was holding them in place must have gotten hot, since the refrigerator took a whole day to cool down.) Aside from these issues, the building management was apparently in the process of replacing the siding on our unit from 8 to 4 every day. We can now identify by sound the brand, size and operator of the various staplers, nailers and drills that they used. When the maintenance man came in on Monday to fix the internet and cable, he couldn't even hear the technician over the phone at Spectrum to fix the modem.The picture of the ocean on the inside of the wall was moving so much we were getting sea sick. But at least the elevator was in operation for 4 out of the 7 days we were there. Please realize that if you book an ocean front unit at this property, the elevator does not let you out on the same level as your unit. You will have to go up or down stairs. The view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful. We were on the third floor and had some fun conversations with the workers as they went up and down their scaffolding which was attached to our balcony roof, with a very loud impact drill. At checkout, everyone apologized for the inconveniences and said that the manager would be in touch to offer some compensation. No one bothered to get in touch with us. There are just some condos that you can tell whether or not the owner cares about it. This is not one of those units. I kid you not, the hole in the toilet seat was smaller than a Styrofoam plate! It reminded me of a training potty! (Another thing my kids don't have to try to remember.) The location of this unit has a lot going for it. But, it "

"NICE CONDO
VERY NICE CONDO. IT HAS PLENTY OF SPACE FOR EVERYONE. I REALLY LIKE THE LOCATION. PARKING WAS AN ISSUE BECAUSE OF RENOVATIONS GOING ON OUTSIDE. BATHROOMS NEED TO BE UPDATED. STOVE/OVEN ALSO HAS ISSUES. OVERALL I REALLY LIKED THE PLACE."

"Fantastic Stay
It was so simple to pick up our check in packet, despite the fact that we got in town later in the evening. There was plenty of parking available and the stairs/elevator made it easy to get to our 3rd floor corner unit. The little alcove was perfect for holding our umbrella and chairs and keeping the sand out of the condo proper. The condo itself was the perfect size for our family. We loved the screened in porch and how easy it was to get to the beach."

"Location is great, everything else so-so
Check in location asks no one to come in until 4:00, but they close at 5:00. Dozens of renters show up at the same time causing lobby pandemonium. Chaos.
1elevator, was out of order on check in day.
Everything had to be carried up to the top floor. Then off to buy groceries for the week, and you guessed it, carried all up stairs to the top floor.
3 bedroom condo inside was in generally good shape, a little dated. Balcony is screened in and a little shaky feeling. Affects view a little, but cannot take any pictures of ocean at all from balcony.
There were used tissues and Qtips under the bed upon arrival.
Pool area does not have any tables, only lounge chairs. Oddly, there is not even a trash can near the pool area. (Sounds picky, but you notice how often you need a trash can when there isn’t one around).
Parking is tight. Small property.
Overall, we had a great time and didn’t allow any of these things to ruin a good time, but didn’t feel like this property or room should have been priced the same as comparable sized but nicer properties.
Will look for something different in the future. "

"Beach Retreat
Waking up to the sound of ocean waves and coffee on the porch overlooking the ocean, was such a special time for our family. The condo rental was clean, spacious, and well stocked with kitchen supplies along with comfy beds. We definitely would rent this condo again!!"

"For the Price, It was Great!!
The property was a little musty smelling when we first arrived, but with a candle or two, it was fine. The screen on the balcony was a little annoying because you couldn't take pics from the balcony but we adjusted and just got plenty of exercise walking down to the beach. There wasn't a decent frying pan, that I could find. The teflon pan I found had burnt stuff all over it so consider bringing your own, wished I would have. I loved the location, being on the 3rd floor corner unit, I felt a little more isolated than some of ther other units. Being from the mountains I like my space. All in All, for the price, I was pleased and would definitely consider renting it again!!"

"Wonderful location
This was a last minute rental that fit our last minute budget. Having rented many other properties for beach vacation in NJ, I had certain expectations.
The location is wonderful, the closeness to the beach is so helpful when carrying all your stuff. The building it’s self could use a little TLC. Not bad just dated. The unit had a full size washer and dryer and a great place to keep all your beach supplies. The rugs in all the bedrooms were new. Although the rug in the living room was not, our feet never got dirty like some of my past places. That being said, there were some things that need dire attention and updating. The shower in the master as well as the toilet needs repair. The shower requires some cleaning attention. The drawer in the kitchen with the utensils did not open making it hard to get forks and knives. The back splash had plexiglass cover the wallpaper behind the stove. Great idea so grease doesn’t ruin it but there is now some sort of mold behind the glass.
I have addressed these issues and others with the rental company and they are suppose to get in there to check it out and do a heavy cleaning and advise the owners of the issues needing to be addressed. I would not rent this particular unit again but I know it could be worse. The view is amazing!! I could look at it everyday. The porch is screened in. Great for bugs but hard to see clearly through and you can’t lean on/over the railing. It’s an end unit so there is a lot to see. We loved North Myrtle beach so much, we almost bought our own place."

"Great location
First, this property is at a great location. There was lots of people on the beach in both directions but this area was not too crowded. My only complaint, it wasn’t the cleanest. As soon as we got there we went to the porch and the chairs were covered in dirt. They cleaned up pretty easy with about 10 minutes of work. Also went to use the blender and brown liquid came out of the bottom. Would stay here again for the location, but hope it would be cleaner next time."

"Ants! Ants! Ants! Musty smell
Very musty smell in unit. Ants in kitchen. Killed ants everyday despite several ant traps in unit. Did not want to place any food in kitchen. Cooktop had puddles of grease underneath burners. Spent 2 hours cleaning stove just to wipe off grease. Didn’t have supplies to scrub properly. Kitchen did have all necessary utensils, pans, dishes. Unit also very dusty. Wiped layers of dust from louvered doors on utility closet. Bathrooms needed updating. Master bath only had small standup shower. Furniture, carpeting, and bedding were all fine. Just needs to be thoroughly cleaned. "

"Beautiful view, kitchen needs help.
Cant beat ocean front, and we were very pleased with the location and views from the condo. Bedrooms great. Bathrooms and kitchen need updating. Wouldn’t cook there, as it seemed dirty. Also had a nasty run in with the rental agency. Very vehement that I made a mistake bringing three cars. Got in a nasty fight trying to get another pass. Worked hard trying to not let it ruin my vacation. Agent yelled at me; was a bad experience. People at the complex itself were lovely. Wouldn’t stay there again mainly because of the rental agency. Beware."

"Bike week rental property.
Hello everyone, myself and 4 others from my bike club stayed at this condo and as we had expected the place was really nice and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. We had no issues with noisy neighbors therefore getting rest was not a problem. The staff at North Beach Realty were very professional and kind. When I did call about one of the two minor issues we had they quickly to care of it. The other issue was the towels were linty. To sum it all up it was a great place to stay and I’ll recommend it to my family and friends."
