"Shorewood 539 stay 9/30/23-10/7/23
The unit was not clean. There was mold in the bathtub, the shower door would not close tightly. The shower bar was bent. the master bedroom toilet was not clean. There were knobs missing, a broken mirror, the HVAC vents were disgusting. This unit hasn't been maintained well. The outside landscaping was well maintained. The pool was good but the hot tub was constantly used by children under 12 yrs old which was against the property rules, which was annoying. The location was excellent. Having a washer, dryer and dishwasher was great. "

"Great location, views, and ease of process
Everything as described. Very easy entry and communication was great. Place is very clean with great views. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is wifi is spotty and no community grills (this is my fault for not confirming - we like to grill and assumed there would be community grills as most properties have). Would stay again and plan meals accordingly. "

"Hilton Head Shorewood Unit 539
The unit was clean and well located. No issues there. The elevator broke down, and despite repeated attempts to contact Sea Turtle Getaways, the was a tepid response from them and no concern for our plight. We had to climb five floors for two days - the elevator was finally fixed the night before we left. "

Condo was well-equipped and had everything we needed to make meals. Main living area was beautiful but the bathrooms definitely need updated. The air-conditioner was a bit louder than normal but it worked very well."

"Luxurious & Close to the Beach
Beautiful, spacious top floor condo with a huge super private balcony and a gorgeous view of sunrise, ocean waves, and sunset. Walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants, and a quick drive to less crowded local restaurants. The welcome spread from housekeeping was a nice touch. Would stay again. "

"Large Two Bedroom Condo with Nice View
We enjoyed the condo. It was clean upon our arrival and had everything we needed for the week. View of the pool and ocean from fifth floor is beautiful. Internet was nearly unusable in terms of speed - shut off wi-fi and just connected to internet on cell network. The walk to the pool is a bit of a journey from this unit; it would be nice if there was a more direct route. "

"Wonderful stay at 539 Shorewood
Had a wonderful stay at 539 Shorewood! The balcony view is better than in the pictures. Steps away from restaurants and shopping. I got around on a bike for further trips on the bike trail . Everything I needed was in the condo. Clean and ready for relaxing. Great views! On a beautiful beach. Management company was easy to work with. Quick responses prior to trip and I didn’t have any issues while staying there- except me losing a key and they came right over and let me in ! Thanks again! Can’t wait to go back!!!"

"Great Location!
The location was perfect and we could not have been happier. A couple housekeeping items were minor and the welcome kit did advise they would take care of any issues, but we didn't feel this was necessary, as they weren't huge issues. Would have liked a hair dryer. Can't remember the last time I rented a place with no hair dryer. Would also have liked perhaps a mini liquid dish soap and cleaner but not a huge deal as we were walking distance from EVERYWHERE! Overall would definitely go back and would recommend. "

"Extended Stay Opportunity
We were disappointed when the condo we had rented at Shorewood was not available for us to extend our stay so I started searching for other accommodations. In my search, I found 539 Shorewood and it proved to be a very satisfying find! We were a little worried because of some prior reviews we had read but to extend our vacation we took a chance. What a surprise when we opened the door!! The condo was very clean, bright and roomy with very nice furnishings. Yes, the kitchen appliances and w/d are older but they were very clean and work fine so not a problem for me. The view is fabulous and there is a large balcony making a perfect morning coffee spot! We were very pleased and will definitely consider renting this condo again. "

The location was fantastic. The pool and ability to walk to the beach were great for our kids. Our unit was out dated and had black mold all over the vents. They were responsive about quickly cleaning it up but our unit then smelled of chemicals for the rest of our stay. "

"Great Condo
Overall, we were very pleased with this unit. The view and amenities of the complex were dynamite, specifically beach access and the pool. Only complaint with the unit was the Wifi, it is horrendous and almost unusable. Sea Turtle Getaways staff was great to work with. Their communication was excellent and they were very accommodating to our schedule."

"2019 Spring Break
This was my family's first time to Hilton Head and the Villa was in a perfect location. We were close to Coligny Park, Restaurants, Shops, everything.
The Villa however was much less than I expected. It's extremely outdated, the towels were thread bare and the guest bedroom had a mattress cover with plastic. It was like sleeping in a hospital bed.
The guest bathroom tile had hair stuck to it, and the overall cleanliness was a disappointment.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this wonderful 5th floor unit at Shorewood! It was clean, great views of the ocean and pools. The pool itself was wonderful and great if you have small children. Merle from Seaturtle was very responsive and instructions were easy!. Overall great stay and

"Pick another condo in Shorewood
This was our 5th year to stay in Shorewood Villas and we love the location and the pool. We used Sea Turtle Getaways previously and had a great experience, but this time our condo was extremely dirty. We will not be using Sea Turtle Getaways again. The condo was very dirty, the WIFI did not work very well, the kitchen was not very well stocked, and the master bedroom door did not close correctly. We will not stay in this unit again and I do not recommend this unit to anyone. "

The condo interior was a little dated and worn and it could have been cleaner. Overall, we would stay here again but call ahead and ask the management company to pay extra attention to the cleaning job prior to arrival. "

"Great Hilton Head Stay at Shorewood!
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation this year staying at Shorewood in Hilton Head! The location to shopping and dining was great! Just a very short distance (probably about 1-2 blocks) to get to Coligny Plaza. Sea Pines and the Lighthouse weren't far either, only a 10 minute ride in car to get there. We stayed in Shorewood #539 which was a beautiful condo, one of the largest we've ever stayed at while on vacation. It was an end unit but close to the elevators and was very quiet while we were there. Also loved that the owners had beach umbrellas and chairs in the closet which we used while there. Loved that it was a gated complex, not that we had any problems whatsoever. We couldn't get over how pretty and wide the beach is when the tide goes out and the waves were so very calm the whole week we were there. The pool was well kept and plenty of lounge chairs and tables available. I would definitely stay at Shorewood again on my next visit."

"First Time for Mom, Dad & Kids in Hilton Head
We really enjoyed our stay at Shorewood! The condo, pool, ocean and shops were all super convenient and as advertised. We would definitely return and stay in the same unit, we really enjoyed it being an end unit. The elevators were fast and never really had to wait long. The property itself was clean and well maintained. The ocean was awesome!"

This condo commands a higher rate due to the view and location but is lacking in quality. The kitchen needs help. The stove, washer and dryer are rusty and old. Safety grips are lacking by each tub/shower. Other than that, We love being there on Hilton Head Island. The condo is in a great location, just steps from the beach."

"Great View but Much Needed Updating
Great experience. Easy booking and check in. Great porch, view and living room furniture. Bed linens needed major updating-holes in fitted sheet. Not enough towels were provided so had to constantly wash. Kitchen needs major updating! Overall great week but would have liked the unit to be more updates. "

"Great location, very nice property
Good end unit on top floor, with diagonal view to ocean from terrace. Very clean and well-appointed. My only complaint with the unit is it could use curtains on the bedroom windows, as the blinds are older, and so it's difficult to sleep past early sunrise (if you like a dark room). Otherwise, great place, very central, yet quiet. A bit of attitude at check-in, and expectations not properly set regarding bike rentals, so not a great first impression, but everything was sorted out adequately. "

The condo was perfect for four adults. The location and view were beautiful, just as described. Easy to get to everything in the Coligny Beach area. "Fun times on HHI
Even one day indoors because of Hurricane Hermine couldn't dampen our vacation. Shorewood was everything we hoped for. It was not wall to wall people on the beach, pool or in the elevator. We were able to park under roof which was really nice during the storm. A maintenance worker came by during the storm to check that everything was ok. We never even lost cable TV. This was so convenient to everything. We ate out every night, traveling less than a mile most nights to quality restaurants. The unit we rented was beautifully decorated with nice furniture. Baths could use a little updating but were adequate and very clean, as was the kitchen. Sea turtle was very accommodating and easy to work with. I will stay here with them again."

"Hilton Head family vacation at Shorewood.
Wonderful from start to finish! First time to Hilton Head for our family and we had a great time. Booking was easy and staff answered almost endless questions as we didn't know anything. We wanted very close to the beach but in our budget and Shorewood was perfect, family friendly, quiet and accessible. We rented bikes and used them to shop and explore. We ate mostly in the unit and on the balcony which had great views of Atlantic, beach and pool area."

"Familie vacation
The location was awesome. The beach, nearby restaurants and shopping as well. The condo was not clean. Dirty socks, garbage and stuffed animals from previous renters under the beds and behind nightstands. One of the bathrooms was nasty, outdated and the tub drain clogged. The kitchen was in okay shape.
We were not told that the office to pick up the keys closed at 6pm.We would not stay there again."

We family of 3 adults and two children ages 2 and 4, had a fun vacation.
Our rental at Shorewood 539 was a corner unit with beautiful views of the pool area and ocean.
The unit was spacious, clean and had everything we needed.
The unit is in good condition, once kitchen and bathroom are updated, it will be excellent.
Shorewood is an excellent location, close to everything you would need. Walking distance to Coligny Plaza that had shops, restaurants and entertainment at night.
The pool was so nice for the kids with a beach entrance and also a kiddy pool. The grounds in Shorewood were very clean and maintained.
Rental agent Merle was excellent, always answered my questions and made the booking process easy."
