With a balcony accessible by the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Shorewood 431 enjoy a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Shorewood pool area. After hours in the surf, vacationers return from the ocean via Shorewood's beach walkway and then dip into the freshwater swimming pool or a seasonally heated spa. Pool is Heated March 1 - April 30 and Oct 1 - November 30.
Toddlers have a separate wading pool. Shorewood is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Shorewood is two blocks from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. 1 Walk In Shower.

"Shorewood is Awesone, this unit not so much....
We have stayed and shorewood before and were very happy with the property. This unit’s location allowed for a nice view but we found it lacking in other areas. While the vacation rental company made it very easy for us to check in smoothly, we felt like the unit was hastily cleaned/restocked. There were many things in need of repair or updating in the unit, including refrigerator seals, snags in the carpet, broken lamp, and very low quality pillows. Also, the unit owner had multiple notes throughout the property ie - "don't use these cups" which we thought were unprofessional. Had we known about these issues before, we would've chosen a different unit. "

"In need of updating and cleaning!
We’ve stayed at Shorewood for 5 years and this is by far the most disappointing place we have rented. The condo is in desperate need of updating and cleaning. The carpet smelled of mildew and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. We found candy wrappers and food on the floor of one of bedrooms. The vent in the hallway was covered in a thick crust of dirt and dust. Neither of the televisions worked in the bedrooms. The couches were dirty. The positives- the kitchen and the bathrooms were very nice and clean and updated. We had a wonderful time anyway and made the best of it but we wouldn’t stay at this condo again. "

"Family stay
We enjoyed our stay at Shorewood. Location is perfect, close to everything. Gated community gives you more privacy and security, which is a big plus. The apartment itself has a nice pool and ocean view, but a little undermaintained. "

"431 Shorewood
Condo was in a great location which made everything walkable. Also a great view from balcony. Unit was comfortable but needs a bit of TLC. Carpets were heavily stained and need to be replaced or professionally cleaned. WiFi didn’t work and prop mgmt was unable to fix so I had to fix it myself. Ceilings had water damage in several locations and need to be repainted. Overall, liked the unit as it was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. "

"Great spot for a family of four
We love everything about Shorewood - the location, the pool, the gated, secured entrance. We had a few issues with kitchen appliances during this stay and the maintenance crew was very responsive & helpful. This was our first time staying in bldg 4 and we loved the covered parking option. "

"Great View
The property was very clean, the master bedroom was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The living area was a great size but the furniture was a little uncomfortable. Nice updated kitchen with everything you would need to prepare meals for family and friends, down side is the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer were extremely loud. Two very nice bathrooms, which is always a plus. Second bedroom was large with two twin beds but the beds need to be updated, very uncomfortable and they squeak whenever you move. The balcony view was awesome, it overlooked the pool (nice) and the ocean. For the money this is a good deal, but I would suggest better furniture in the living area and second bedroom to make the property more comfortable. The property management company was very helpful since we had a late check in, I would suggest them to anyone wanting to book a property in the Hilton Head area. Overall I would give this property 3.5 out of 5. "

"Very Pleased with Shorewood 431
Everything looked like the photos from the site. The circular char was missing its cushion, likely from it being stained as per previous reviews. The living room curtain rod was barely holding on, my 11 year old pulled it right out of the drywall when closing it on the first day.

Overall, we were very happy, despite those few points above. The location is great, the view is great, and overall it was in great condition. We would rent it again. "

"Bad start and end. No elevator ,than no electricity and noicy
The weather was great. I liked the condo my husband couldn't bike after using the stairs for 8 days for the 4 th floor..The last day was **** without electricity and trying to pack and eat in the dak.Mchael should have told us that the repair was for the next day. We got the use of a front condo for the fridge and shower. We didn't touch anything . We slept at 431 in the dark without candle and flashlight n the condo. We should have at lease$500.less next year. At the pool, It was very noisy due to the balconies renovation "

"Wasn’t great.
Overall our stay was fine. There was a closet door hanging off the track pretty obnoxiously when we arrived. We called someone to see if they could fix it because we have two little ones and it posed a danger to them. They admitted to hoping they could have gotten away with not dealing with it until after peak season and their solution was to just remove the door so we had the beautiful sight of sweepers and a mop stacked on each other in there as we passed in and out of our bedroom. There was a MAJOR safety issue out by the elevator. One of the spindles on the fourth floor came loose and our 18 month old happened to find it and could have very easily fallen through had my husband not spotted what she was so interested in. We told the security guy about it and it was repaired quickly but that pretty much ruined things after that experience. Having the image of your child falling through the fourth floor balcony will do that. We stayed in units closer to the beach with a nicer view and less of a walk to the pool and beach. We will be back in one of those next time. "

"Leahey stay in 431
Wonderful stay in 431. Clean and well finished unit. The Wifi does not work however which is a major detractor. We all had IPhones which could link to the Wifi but could not access the Internet. They were indeed operative as they worked on the Internet through my parents' units' WIFI. We ended up using all of our data for the month and will this be charged $20 extra for the overage. I consider this a cost which I should be reimbursed for. "
