Seawood Vista is the perfect getaway, located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood just 3 miles North of the Seaside village of Trinidad, 3 miles South of Patrick's Point State Park and about 20 miles South of Redwood National Park. This luxurious 2 story, 2400 square foot custom home has sweeping ocean views and sits on over an acre with Redwood and Alder trees. Guests are greeted to luxury and quality throughout this 3 bedroom, 3 full bathroom home. Enter on the main level which offers a carpeted bedroom with a Queen bed and woodland views, full bathroom with a combination tub/shower, living room and dine-in kitchen both with breathtaking ocean views. Cooks will love preparing meals while gazing out to sea in the well appointed kitchen with stainless steel Bosch appliances (stove/oven, dishwasher and extra large French door refrigerator), gorgeous Quartzite counter-tops and breakfast bar island. Enjoy family meals at the large dining table for 8 or head out to the deck and barbecue on the gas grill while looking for whales! The living room is a great place for relaxing with a large sectional sofa and leather chair, wood burning stove, 65 inch Smart T.V. and Blu-Ray DVD player. The wood beam, vaulted ceilings and gorgeous hardwood floors add to the wonderful warm ambiance. Step outside to the expansive deck and take a soak in the large hot tub, a great way to unwind after hiking in the Redwoods!

Head upstairs to find the Master suite, 3rd bedroom, bathroom and alcove. The Main suite has stunning, sweeping ocean views in 3 large picture windows one with a window seat, a King Tempurpedic bed, 43 inch smart T.V. and plenty of open floor space to either do some yoga or spread out the 2 twin foam mattresses as extra sleeping space for small children. The main bathroom is simply dreamy! Soak in the claw-foot bathtub or step into the large, Travertine tiled walk-in shower and gaze out at sea. The 3rd bedroom has wooded views, a Queen bed, 43 inch smart T.V. and is tucked back from the master offering nice privacy. The alcove just beyond offers a workstation for guests needing to work while on vacation and a full sized futon sofa comfortable for sleeping 1 adult or 2 smaller children. The 3rd bathroom is located just off the alcove and has another beautifully tiled porcelain walk-in shower. The indoor laundry room is located just off the kitchen and has an extra large Electrolux front loading washer and dryer. Step outside into the front yard and enjoy sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the kids play on the large lawn complete with soccer goal net. This house has it all, the perfect getaway for visiting the Redwoods!

RESERVATION ALTERATIONS OPTIONS:
Guests cancelling less than 14 days to arrival may make a one time reservation date change for the same property, without a fee for the same calendar year, or renter may take a credit for a future stay at the same property, without a fee for the same calendar year. No rental refunds will be given for circumstances beyond our control such as planned or unexpected PG&E power outages, road closures, weather related issues or other “Acts of God”. When possible we will offer a one time reservation date change for the same property within the same travel season.

DAMAGE PROTECTION FEE: charges a $39 non-refundable damage protection fee. This fee protects guests for up to $500 in accidental damage that may include: stained bedding or linens; broken lamps, glassware and windows; damaged doors, walls or furniture; torn screen doors, etc. This fee does not cover normal wear and tear. After a guest’s departure and inspection of the home, management will notify the responsible party of any excessive damages including photos, a description of the damage and an assessment of the cost of replacing or repairing the damaged item that exceeds $500. Any cost over $500 required for this repair or replaced item will be charged to the credit card on file. We encourage guests to do a thorough inspection of the property upon arrival and notify management of any existing damages, stains, or broken items so as not to be held responsible.

COVID Related Cancellation - Cancellations made by either the guest or for any stays made after March 14, 2020 due to COVID-19 related circumstances such as: illness, transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable law; and other government mandates—like evacuation orders, stay at home orders, border closures, prohibitions on short-term rentals, and shelter-in-place requirements will not be considered an extenuating circumstance and our cancellation policy will apply as usual. After the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization, this extenuating circumstance no longer applies because COVID-19 and its consequences are no longer unforeseen or unexpected and are considered a known travel risk. "Very well appointed home with great attention to comfort
Enjoyed all this huge home offered, beds were terrific, great bathrooms, jacuzzi clean, hot and marvelous. Large windows, ever detail was top quality. Baked my sourdough bread too! Highly recommend for views, privacy, view of the ocean. I could see a few whales spouting in the distance.

"Great family vacation in the Redwoods
The pictures do not do this place justice. It is gorgeous and so comfortable. Sometimes when you stay at places like these, it feels bare boned and unwelcoming, but not this place! They had literally everything you could want-warm blankets, extra bedding, a fully stocked kitchen (and my husband is a chef!), games and an amazing hot tub. The views are incredible. It was such a great place to relax after all the hiking we did during the day. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

For those thinking of visiting, we highly recommend going to Fern Canyon. It was a favorite of everyone on our trip. Definitely need to wear waterproof shoes for that adventure. The Trees of Mystery was very fun and a great immersive experience for kids and adults. Both of these destinations are only a short drive north. We enjoyed stopping for a bite at the Eatery and walking down to the beach after and exploring the tide pools (not sure of the name of the beach but its just past the Eatery restaurant). We did a lot of cooking so I can't recommend other restaurants but Murphy's is a great little grocery store that had everything we needed for our trip. "

"Beautiful view
The property description was accurate regarding the layout and amenities. The house had a beautiful view of the ocean and there was plenty of room for all of us. The property was close to all the site seeing we planned on doing. The redwoods were amazing. We had a wonderful time. Now what we didn't like. I booked this property because it said no animals. When we opened the front door there was a strong order of what smelled like wet dog. Which was strongest upstairs in the master suite. In the kitchen one of the trash cans had not been empty as well. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT! The kitchen could use a large electric skillet. There wasn't anything big enough to cook breakfast for 6 people. We had to use 2 frying pans just to cook scrambled eggs and trying to make pancakes was a joke. The only reason I would not recommend this property to a fried is because the house smelled terrible>"

"This is an amazing home and location! We highly recommend!
Me and my friends from Louisiana and Montana stayed here for a week I. mid-October. We all felt the same about this home and location; it was certainly the best vacation home we have stayed in as a group and during solo travels. The location was perfect to go to all of the beautiful sights, hiking and exploring Patricks Point, Fern Canyon, Trillium Falls, Moonstone, Trinidad and all the gems we visited north and a little drive south to the Avenue of the Giants, Confusion Hill, and Founders Grove. A short drive to Farmers Market in Arcata, and minutes away from our Carriage Ride in Old Town Eureka and a visit to the renowned **** Taylor Craft Chocolate Boutique and Factory. To add icing to the cake we had a delicious meal down the road from the vacation house to Larrupins Cafe, it was the best filet mignon we ever had.

We stayed home the only stormy day that week. Awe at the ambiance, seeing the stormy ocean and horizon. We watched a RomCom, tools naps in our comfortable rooms, and ordered a delicious gluten free pizza from Headies Pizza in Trinidad (just a hop skip and a jump away). It was the most comfortable, convenient and well stocked place. We joked about it has everything but pepper, but sure enough there it was, three different kinds. We cooked breakfast daily and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was more expensive than I would usually pay, but once there, it was reasonable considering the location, comfort, and special touches of home. "

We loved this house! The location, the views, the kitchen! "Incredible!
Want to visit the lost coast and stay in a spacious, comfortable, sparkling clean home? Look no further. My family of 6 stayed here for an entire week to explore the redwoods and north coast. The location is perfect, close to the parks and the coast. The living spaces and kitchen were awesome and fully stocked. The deck and yard were a fun place to relax and soak in amazing views after a long day on the trail. The hosts have taken care of everything you could need or want. We made some wonderful memories here and hope to return someday. "

"Great house!
The house was beautiful and very clean, the views were unbeatable. The hot tub was also sparkling clean and we enjoyed it every afternoon. "Beautiful, well-equipped coastal gem!
This house was wonderful! It felt like someone's custom home, and you felt like you were visiting a friend's getaway at the coast. Often when renting a place, there are "just enough" plates, a bare minimum of other kitchen essentials, bathroom supplies, blankets, etc. This house had EVERYTHING and more. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, all the glassware and dishes appeared to be new - and there were NUMEROUS pieces of each- so you weren't washing dishes all the time. The bathrooms all appeared to be freshly remodeled - seriously. They were all well-thought-out, highly functional, aesthetically pleasing, and had full towel/supply cabinets. The house itself is thoughtfully designed and built, and was perfect for our family of two couples (husband and me, our grown son and partner, and another single grown son). Everybody had their own space and privacy. Plenty of room to gather as a group in the common areas, and gorgeous views of the ocean throughout the home. The deck was lovely, and protected from wind, etc. by the orientation of the home. Our kids really enjoyed the hot tub.
I really can't say enough about how nice the home was. It far exceeded our expectations in every category."

"Fun time in Northern California with a view!
We had a wonderful time at the home and the hosts were really good to us. The proximity was great for what we wanted to do there which was to see the Redwoods and spend time at the beach. The home had everything we needed and it was great because we brought all of our food and were able to cook and clean with ease in their amazing kitchen. The hot tub was really nice to relax in after hiking as well. All in all, it was a great stay and we really enjoyed it!"

"Fantastic weekend, gorgeous home!
I stayed here with a group of girlfriends for two nights. I wish we could have stayed another two weeks!! The place was fabulous. Gorgeous views of the Pacific from the Kitchen, the master bedroom/bathroom, and even from the hot tub. We had dinner one night in downtown Trinidad and went hiking one day at Patrick's Point state park - both were a very short drive from the home. One of the highlights was the master SHOWER! Huge with one of those rain shower heads coming from the ceiling. We also used the wood stove to warm up on a chilly night. Thank you for a fantastic weekend!"

"Still a great house but the neighborhood is a downgrade
We've stayed in this location last year but this year's experience was a let-down.
First of all, the neighbors were disruptive. Loud renovations and RV usages. We were attempting to grill on the deck one evening when the next door neighbor was blowing dusts everywhere that we couldn't go outside. The RV that was parked on another neighbor's house had their lights on all evening. It was not a relaxing experience.
Second, we had a power outage during our stay for an extended period of time. The manager was nice enough to deliver flashlights to hold us over the night but we found out from a restaurant that we visited that this is a frequent occurrence (winter) and that most all rentals have a back-up generator. This location did not.
Many of the food we brought were getting spoiled in the refrigerator and my husband had to get ice from a local store to keep them. We couldn't utilize the hot tub as there were no electricity and no one could take a hot shower either.

I understand that the power outage is out of control with the property management but the handling as well as not planning for it with a generator when it's a known issue in the city is frustrating.

For anyone who's staying at this location, be aware. Especially during the winter months per Trinidad locals.

"Amazing Ocean View
This was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of hiking at the Redwood National Park, which was a short drive up north. The hot tub was nice and it comes with a wonderful view of the ocean. The place was so clean and the beds were very comfy. I will be staying here again!"

"Amazing Getaway!
The house was spotless, well organized and incredibly comfortable. There were movies, toys, a well appointed kitchen, and tips from the owners on how to use everything in the home. It was one of the cleanest homes we have ever stayed in. The kids loved the hot tub and on the days when it wasn't raining, the deck views were incredible. Short drive to stunning hikes. Owners were responsive and kind. "

"Wonderful home!
This home was everything and more that we could have asked for. We stayed at a different VRBO for 2 days prior to our stay here, and we would have stayed here for the whole trip if we would have known how great the place was going to be. "Beautiful house!
We loved our stay here! Loved the decor and layout as well as the amenities (hot tub was a nice bonus) in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds are comfortable, with room for all 7 of us! The only disappointment was there was no Seaview due to the fog! It's a little farther from Redwood than we'd like but only 2-3 miles up the road from the town of Trinidad, which is so quaint and charming. This is one of the nicest homes we've rented!"
