If you cancel more than 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date (60 days prior to arrival for monthly rentals), the reservation downpayment will be returned, minus a $100 cancellation fee. For example, if a $300 downpayment was paid, you will receive $200 dollars back.

If you cancel within 45 days of arrival (60 days prior to arrival for monthly rentals), there will be no refund unless we are able to re-rent the property for some or all of the time you committed to and refunds may be less than the actual revenue paid. We apologize, but properties are hard to re-rent, as many people make bookings far in advance.

For reservations made within 45 days of arrival (60 days prior to arrival for monthly rentals), payment is due in full at time of booking in order to confirm the reservation, and the cancellation policy as stated above will apply. A cancellation becomes effective from the date that it is received in writing, fax or e-mail.

"Great stay - everything as described and more
Stayed here for a week on our most recent vacation and enjoyed it very much. We have stayed at the Waikiki Banyan before and enjoy staying there because it's a great value. The pros are: reasonable price, free parking spot and wi-fi included, close to beach, and you have a kitchen and fridge for drinks. The only con is that the building is a bit dated but many of the rooms have been renovated. This unit was quite nice and had a electronic bidet seat, updated kitchen, and also had a better than i thought partial ocean view you could see from the patio. Some body boards, beach chairs and umbrella were also available on the patio. The room and linens were clean and beach towels were available and there was an air-conditioner. There is one queen bed and a big queen sized sofa bed. The TV was nice and had many channels to watch as well as built-in Chromecast. Upon arrival they also had a fresh lei and a pack of one pot coffee, soap, shampoo and dishwashing soap and a sponge. The expectation is that you leave the room in the condition when you arrived, which included throwing the trash out. The management company, Captain Cook, was great. It was the first time I dealt with them. They sent many quick confirmation emails and instructions which were easy to follow and also called in to ask how we were doing. We were very appreciative that they gave us a very late check in as our flight wasn't until 11:30 pm at night and it would have been a hassle if we had to check out at 11 am and drive around for several hours. Thanks to Byron and Captain Cook Resorts. Looking forward to a future stay in Honolulu."

"Beautiful unit near Kuhio beach
Checkin and checkout was fast and efficient. Byron met us and gave us a parking permit. The unit is very clean and the ac keeps it very cool. The bed and sofa beds are very comfy. Unit includes all the tools needed to make a nice breakfast or meal when you are too tired to go out. They provide bath and beach towels. They also updated the toilet with one of the Japanese ones that wash your butt. Hubby loved that feature. We live staying in this unit because it is clean, includes parking and is super close to Kuhio beach."

The unit is very comfortable for two people. We stayed in the unit for 59 days and would like to suggest that extra kitchen towels, paper towels, and toilet paper be provided. Also a small umbrella for rainy days, a smart tv, and the ice maker.

"Nicely appointed condo.
T1 #2002 is a well appointed Waikiki Banyan condo. The kitchen, especially, has just about anything one needs for a one week stay! The condo was very clean, the closet was well stocked with towels and the view from the lanai was very nice."

"Comfortable and Neat Condo
Flight arrived on time and I setup an appointment with the property Manager(Byron) as soon as I got my rental car. He was there to meet and greet me on time and gave me a nice orientation. He even pointed to me what is missing and took care of a lot of things. (got me beach chairs and Umbrella as well as the access key from Parking lot.) He also pointed to me that the Toilet roll holder was missing. Although that was not fixed during our stay we managed to live without it. Specific things that could have improved our experience :
1) it would have been great if condo stocked simple kitchen essentials like salt and pepper and cooking oil. I had to go fetch that at odd hours to make something for my infant.
2) there was no laundry detergent even for a single use, and I had to fetch that too late in the night. (although I was given some promptly on my last day of stay when I approached my property manager)

Our stay was comfortable and 3 cheers for property manager Byron.

"Another Excellent Experience
This is our second rental through Captain Cook, and we are just as happy this time as the first. Their customer service is great, and the properties have been exactly as pictured on the site. For us, visiting family who live nearby, the location is perfect. But anyone would be happy to be one block from the beach, and easy walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, and activities.

Our one suggestion, and this applies to nearly every rental and hotel we've ever stayed at in Waikiki: Some way to hang up wet beachwear would be good, either a retractable clothesline in the shower area or a fold-up drying rack. But as I said, we've run across this at nearly every place we've stayed, so it's not particular to this rental.

We are so pleased to have found Captain Cook -- it will always be our go-to for rentals when we visit Honolulu!"

"Great windows and a great home away from home
A really nice room. The best part was when I called on the last day to request a late check out time of 8pm to catch the red eye flight, and they said yes! It was like having a bonus day to enjoy Hawaii, stress free, and then pack up for the trip home. The pull out couch was adequate, if not amazing, but it was very handy to have a second bed. "

"Great Location / Needs Work
We stayed in 2002 for a two week period Jan. 28 - Feb. 11 2017.
The place is in a wonderful location and Captain Cook was wonderful as they have been in the past.
We only had a few complaints, the patio door is in desperate need of new rollers, it took two people to open the large sliding door. Captain Cook came and used silicone spray and it worked for two days. The beige couch was so filthy we placed towels over it before sitting. We had six hangers in the closet so we purchased a package of 24, the only closet was filled with so many bedspreads and other things we had little room for storage. The glasses in the cupboard were filthy and stuck to the cupboard, we had to wash all the glasses and plates before use. The plastic front of the air conditioner kept falling off due to broken fasteners.
After these complaints... We loved the condo, it was a large and perfectly located condo very close to the beach and shopping. If these minor complaints are looked after, we would have no hesitation to stay there again.

Overall very happy with our stay. Condo is as nice as the pictures and the location 2 blocks from the beach is a great spot. My wife didn't find the bed too comfortable but I didn't find it horrible. Only real areas for improvement would be a more reliable wifi/internet and a phone that has an in tact antenna to help with call quality. The pool was closed during our stay for some TLC but that was reflected with a discount. "

"Beautiful Paradise Condo
This condo accommodated my family of four very comfortably. The condo is clean and we'll kept. All appliances and electronics were working fine. Great WiFi access. Location is amazing. Just 2 blocks away from waikiki beach and restaurants. Very safe area. We rented a car so having parking included was a plus. Great place for a family to stay especially with young children. The staff from captain cook resorts were very professional, friendly and accompanying. It made our experience even more satisfying. We will be back with this company again! "

"Excellent Waikiki Condo
The condo is a 5 minute walk to the beach. It was very clean and all appliances were either new or close to it! Looking at the photo brings back good memories. I would definitely rent again. There is a pool and hot tub on the 6th floor, a store and local coffee shop in the lobby with internet ($2.50/15 min).Free parking. Very homey. Byron, the manager was very helpful and our visit went as smooth as it could. i was initialy kind of worried because i'd never rented a condo or went thru (this is owned by Captain Cook Properties). But it all went great.-No worries. There is a sliding wooden door that separates the living room area from the bedroom which was nice. This is a great central location. Mahalo. "

"Perfect Little Condo
We were fortunate enough to be the first tenants in this nearly-renovated condo. The only things that could have used improvements are the bathroom (not upgraded but adequate) and sliding curtains (not upgraded and difficult to slide). But the rest of the condo was beautiful - brand new kitchen, brand new flooring, great location 1 1/2 blocks from the beach, and easy access to Highway H1. The Captain Cook staff was friendly and accommodating and the check-in and check-out processes were easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CONDO!! When we come back to Oahu, we'll be booking this place again."

"Great location, friendly service, and a great time
We were the first folks to stay in this unit since it had been upgraded and aside from a few minor issues (didn't have garbage bags) the unit is clean, has a comfy main bed, and is in a great location. The pool for the condo is great, especially for kids, and is in good walking distance from the beach. The only real negative I would say is the the sleeper sofa is terribly uncomfortable for adults. We put our kids on there and they slept fine, but an adult would be pretty sore sleeping on it. Great experience for us and we're grateful to have stayed there! "

"Over charged and Under delivered
This condo is not only outdated but it is in dire need of attention if they want people to come back. The stove top is falling apart and unsafe to cook on, the fridge makes noises all night long. The carpet is from the 1970's and is very dirty, the lanai is filthy, it took half an hour to clean the filth from the fan and on and on. When we tried to get help to address the problem, we were not supported. Do not recommend the company or this hotel-condo. As well, having to check out at 11 am when your flight is at 10 pm is ridiculous - this alone would be enough to stop us from returning but the condition of the condo is terrible- not a good value for what you get. "

A good location in Waikiki. Unit is of middle class standard and has the amenities you'd expect. Bed and sofa bed not particularly comfortable, but all else is fine. Although on the 20th floor, view is not great as you are boxed in with other highrises - but not terrible as you do get a glimpse of the ocean. Value for the money is set fairly and in line with what else is on offer in Waikiki on the condo rental market. "

"Perfect location!
We stayed in this T-1 unit at the beginning of Sept'13. Captain Cook folks were very helpful during booking and arrival. It was exactly as posted. A little dated (as is the entire property) but very clean and of course convenient. It's located right off of Kuhio so plenty of access to shops and restaurant and transit, which will take you anywhere. And only a long block off of Waikiki beach. So if you forget something, you can easily go back (I did!). The partial ocean view from the unit was nice to wake up to. I'd definitely come back."

One bedroom condo, one block from the beach with partial beach views. Captain Cook Real Estate worked with us to find the perfect condo in our vacation budget and kept us informed of any and all aspects of our condo. Upon arrival there was a rep. from Captain Cook who meet us at the main entrence, showed us the best place to park, had a parking pass for us and showed us to the condo we were staying in. "Fabulous Stay
My sister and I spent a week in Waikiki and stayed in the Waikiki Banyan (#2002). The condo was exactly as advertised and we loved it there. The only complaint that I had was that our lanai was blocked off for our stay due to maintenance and that is completely out of the control of Captain Cook so I can't count that against them. They did let us know in advance that it was a possibility and we are supposed to get a discount for the inconvenience which I thought was nice. Prior to arriving I didn't think I would mind - but I found that once we were there it did bother me that we couldn't sit out on the lanai in the evening so the discount is much appreciated. The accommodations were excellent, we were within a couple of blocks of any bus line we needed to get us to Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay and anywhere else we wanted to go. Overall we had a fabulous time and I would definitely recommend (and rent with) Captain Cook Resorts."

"Roomy room, good spot
We thought the unit was in a good location, was roomy, with a great view over the buildings to the mountains on one side and sea on the other, and it was well equipped. The people staying before our week had done some minor damage to the fixtures and fittings which we were immediately informed about and which were also fixed on the first day we were there. I did have to wash all the crockery before using it though as the plates and bowls had been placed in the cupboard dirty with dried egg, grease etc on them - yuk - this obviously hadn't been checked before our arrival. Not a big deal but didn't feel confident any of the crockery, cutlery glassware etc was clean after that until I had washed it all (no dishwasher). Overall we had a great stay in Waikiki in this unit. Thanks to the owner and property management company. "
