This stately Victorian home just above Gloucester’s historic harbor evokes the feel of a gracious bygone era. Elegant and spacious, the home has belonged to the same family since the 1880's and was lovingly renovated to offer modern amenities and comfort. Beachmont has a formal parlor, separate living room, an elegant dining room, and five bedrooms that provide you with plenty of space to either gather together or find a quiet corner as you choose. You'll also enjoy watching the schooners sail majestically across the harbor from the comfortable balcony.

Walk down to Stage Fort Park with its playground and two beaches--Cressy’s Beach (named for the original owners of this house) and Half Moon Beach, a splendid sandy beach set among rocky outcrops with sun and shade. The park also features tennis courts, concerts, fireworks for Independence Day and Labor Day, and a seasonal neighborhood restaurant & ice cream store. Across the street and a short walk up one of the oldest streets in New England is the entrance to Gloucester's 500-acre nature preserve, Ravenswood Park. Stroll in the other direction along Stacy Boulevard past the iconic Man at the Wheel sculpture into Gloucester, where shops, restaurants, whale watch excursions, various wedding venues, and schooner cruises await you. Wingaersheek Beach and Good Harbor Beach are just a 10-minute drive away; rinse off the sand in the hot/cold outdoor shower at the house after your day in the sea and sun.

Kitchen: The bright eat-in kitchen has vintage charm, with modern appliances.

Dining Room: The formal dining room seats 10.

Full Bathroom 1: This is the powder room for the ground floor.

Laundry Room: Contains a washer and dryer, along with and iron and ironing board.

Screened Porch: Off of the living room, the porch provides a shady spot to relax.


Bedroom 1: The Master bedroom has a King bed, an AC unit, and large bay windows.

Bedroom 2: The “Lavender” bedroom has a Queen bed, an AC unit, and sliding doors open on to a large deck that has ocean views.
