The stay overall was very good. Unfortunately our refrigerator started leaking. Also the TV box was blocked in the living room. The maintenance man moved the box from the bedroom to the living room but never brought one to put into the bedroom. The second bedroom had no TV. Staff was very responsive. The beach was amazing!! "

"Great weekend getaway
We had a great weekend getaway at the Inn at Dauphin Island! It was wonderful being a quick walk to the beach and having 2 pools right outside our patio. The condo was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. It is centrally located to all that Dauphin Island has to offer!"

"The Inn unit 102
Overall, it was a great experience! The unit was clean although the refrigerator smelled like fish and the freezer was rusted. The jetes on the whirlpool tub didn't work which was a bummer :(. Other than those items we really enjoyed staying at The Inn. We liked that we were able to walk right out to the pool area. The boardwalk to the beach was a cool experience. I would recommend a stay here to my friends and family. "

"First Stay at The Inn
We have stayed at Dauphin Island for the last 9 years, but this is the first time we have stayed at The Inn. We reserved a "half condo" which was plenty large enough for the two of us and for the grandkids to spend a night or two (slept 6). We were on the first floor, so there was a pool right outside our back patio door...VERY handy. And there were four pools total. Easy walking distance to a food establishment and some gift shops. Electronic entry codes for property gate and room door were very helpful. No keys to keep up with or pick up or return. Our complaints were: The beach was SO FAR AWAY!!! Quite a hike for littles, disabled adults and non-disabled adults loaded with chairs, coolers, beach bags umbrellas, etc. The view from our room was....a sand dune. That was not clear in the room description. There was a TINY fraction of a break in the dune where we could see a microscopic section of the ocean and horizon. VERY disappointing for the price of the condo. The couch is worn out--not comfortable at all. Reading materials (current magazines, books), pen and paper would have been nice to have. Ice maker was very slow to make ice--we purchased two small bags during our week stay. I went back and read my contract before leaving and it clearly stated NO PETS. However, there were dogs everywhere and the owners would bring them out to do their business away from their own condos but right next to ours!! Frustrating. Although everything was very nice, I am doubtful we will stay here again"

"Excellent stay!
We had a four generation family vacation. The ground floor condo was convenient for all ages, especially direct access to the pool and beach boardwalk. The latch on the gate was high enough that our intrepid 4 year old couldn't get to it. The living to room sliding door seemed like it needed some oil, it took a good bit of effort to open it. (Though not necessarily a bad thing for the previously mentioned 4 year old.). The condo was well furnished, clean, and the beds comfy. I might bring an extra blanket next time though. All in all it was an excellent place to stay."

"Loved Dauphin Island!!
Everything was great for the price we paid. Yes they could always upgrade the look of the interior but it gave us everything we needed for our family week stay. Unfortunately the handle on the sliding glass door did break off due to it being tough to open and shut but maybe it will be better for the next guest."

"Wonderful visit to Dauphin Island
Our stay at The Inn at Dauphin Island was perfect. We walked on the beach every morning and looked for birds and in the afternoon we rode our bikes. The unit is very nice and clean and tastefully decorated. The View out our window was beautiful. Street view of the property is ok but the back of the building with the pools and beach is beautiful. We liked the locked the parking lot too. Older property but very well maintained. "

"Brinkoetter rental
Overall we had a great week. This is our 3rd time renting this particular Unit #2.
Unfortunately, the sliding glass doors were both extremely difficult to open, with the living room slider missing a door handle which was also loose and coming off 2 years ago. I actually smashed my hand in the bedroom slider trying to open it. The kitchen is also missing some towels and pans which were previously there.
Unit was clean and nice but I wouldn’t rent this until again until the doors are fixed or replaced. "

"Great location, loved the island!
Condo location was perfect, both where at on the island and in proximity to pool and walk over to the beach (right outside back patio). Condo was comfortable and worked well for our family of 3. A few things that i noticed that could use some attention...several of the bath towels had stains on them, bedding on master bed had tear across side and no blankets on any of the beds (just a thin comforter over sheets). Got chilly at night and would have been nice to at least have blankets available in a closet to use. Overall the condo was great and would stay here again. "

"Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. We loved that it opened to the parking lot on one side and to the pool and beach on the other. No stairs, no lobbies and halls. That also meant not much of a view but that wasn’t important to us. The condo was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy, linens were all good, plenty of cookware and utensils. It was perfect for our family and we would absolutely rent it again. "

"Our favorite place
We’ve stayed in this condo twice now. It’s definitely a favorite of ours. I love how quiet the units are. We can never hear our neighbors and they say they cannot hear us. I love how the ocean is a short 3 minute walk from our condo. We plan to come back every other year since our kids request to go to Dauphin Island almost weekly. "

"1st Floor Unit! Out the gated back patio to pool and beach!
Super 1st floor unit - liked the privacy at the end of building - able to walk out your gated back patio to the pool and beach. Check in process super easy! Parking is close for all units! If your more concerned for an ocean view go up a level. We prefer easy access to amenities. Clean and comfy unit (I would only suggest plastic mixing bowls for salads and popcorn - ��)"

"2019 Family Vacay
We’ve been coming to Dauphin Island for 30 years...this trip was my one year old grandsons first trip to the beach... While the Condo was very nice and had everything we needed... we just found that it was too far from the beach(with a baby)... and the Pools were extremely dirty (nasty greasy film). But overall all we made Amazing family memories...! We are already planning our return...!"

"Summer 2018
It was ok. The sliding glass doors were difficult to open and close, there a few light fixtures with blown light bulbs, the refrigerator never got cold, and the ceiling fan speed could not be adjusted in one of the bedrooms. The pool closes to our room stayed warm and had a film of sunscreen built up in the corner, and the walk to the beach was a little far for my mom and daughter. Other than that it was ok."

Our room was clean. Enjoyed our room except the mattress was like a rock. The last time we stayed they were heavenly. Got ready for a soaking in the tub and the jets didn't work?? A little disappointed ? But be ok. The over all stay was good. Love the area. Ate at several restaurants. They were pretty good. Skinners was the best for the seafood. JT's sunset grill would be my next suggestion, and then islanders... the pools and the building /grounds were well kept. I would highly recommend the Inn. ! Quite, clean , friendly, I would highly suggest anyone to stay here! I would go back to the Inn as my choice! "

Poor. Sofa was not acceptable. Both sides of cushions were worn and shredded. Would have to start the dishwasher numerous times to get it to clean. Main door to ghall bathroom would lock and have to use a key to unlock. This unit should not go for the going rate. Needs new furnishing. New coffee maker. Comforter on queen beef was badly stained. Checked for a different option with a different rental when we saw it but everything was booked. Top bunk bed was not made at check in "

We loved the island and our condo was nice, but the sofa and chairs were pretty dirty looking..we kept them covered with sheets, so we didn't have to sit on the stained fabric. The management were very nice."

"Satisfied Overall
Convenient and easy to find. Check-in was easy and felt welcome.
Location was great and easy to get to the beach, view of the oil rigs took getting used to since many are close to shore, but the sand was white so no worries.
Sliding door sills need to be cleaned, too hard to operate. Bedroom door to patio latch needs to be replaced, was unlocked when we arrived. Looked like it was latched based on the lever, but it was not engaged. Had to play with it for several minutes to latch it. Never went back out that door for the next 3 days.
This was the first condo we ever stayed at that required loading/starting laundry and also washing and putting the dishes away AND still be out by 10AM. Why did we pay $95 for cleaning such a small room? Much higher than normal.
Agent gave a great recommendation to the Pirates Bar & Grill (at golf course but not on the list in the room). They were having a wedding rehearsal later that night and were preparing for it, but still served us--great food and service."

"Family Beach Vacation
Stayed for 4 nights. Great condo, the sliding doors were difficult to open, especially for our kids. Loved the pools. The walking distance to the beach was difficult through the loose sand with all our 'beach equipment'. Overall, we had a nice stay, our kids were kept busy between the pool and beach. The walk-out access to the pool was great!"

"Worth the Money if your on a budget.
Enjoyed our stay at the Inn room 102. Room was pretty much what I expected from the pics. older condo and a little dated. Everything worked as it should and it was clean other than the patio some dirt and leaves. The view was slightly better than the pictures show. Direct access to pool and beach front the patio was terrific. The beach is one of the best I've seen other than the Caribbean. The staff was friendly and helpful, got us in the room at 1:30 instead of 3:00. Pool was a little dirty but didn't stop us from swimming."

My family of five enjoyed this condo for its close proximity to the pool and the beach. While the dishwasher was difficult to use and temperamental, the kitchen was otherwise well equipped, with plenty of dishes, silverware and cookware. Everything else worked as expected and was up to standard."

"The Inn 102
This was our first trip to Dauphin Island. At first the property was amazing. However, after the first night, we found out that the air in our room had been going out and the staff knew but never mentioned it to us until we complained. They did put more freon in the system which helped for the next night but after that the temp kept rising. I understand it was Labor Day week and weekend and there was no place for us to move, but if we had known ahead of time we could have brought fans. Or THEY could have bought some for us. Also, the pool needed cleaning along the sides really bad. It had yucky buildup that was just nasty. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will most definetly stay here again. I will ask about the air first though. haha"

My family and I stayed in two units, one on the ground floor and one just above on the second floor. Both units were well stocked and it was easy for us to visit. Access to the pool was very convenient, especially for smaller children. The unit was very quiet, even though we were close to the pool and the parking lot. "

"Nice Condo, bad beach.
The condo at the Inn was nice, I give it a 4 out of 5. Clean, roomy, stocked, people were nice. The 2 pools were nice and a life saver since the beach sucked.
The beach was awful. There was tons of seaweed that moved in about the time we showed up. It harbored mosquitoes and biting gnats. We basically could not use the beach. "

"Rude managment
We bring a group of women to Dauphin Island every year and have stayed in these condos for the past 12 years. We rent 3-5 condos each year. This is the first year that we have considered relocating. This is because of the rudeness of one member of the
management staff. There was a problem with one of the condos that we had reserved..completely understandable that we had to be relocated to a different condo. But, the rental manager was so rude and unprofessional that it has a left us with a very bad impression!"

"different perspective
Unit 102 offers the convenience of being able to walk out to your vehicle or to the pool area and the beach without riding the elevator. I did miss seeing the Gulf and hearing it. Would not be my first choice for rental."
