"Beautiful rental
Beautiful rental home and location. Had a lovely visit with my daughter and grandchildren. Toured the aquarium and fort Walked and visited all the gift shops and parks. Drove from one end of the island to the other. Had to h best seafood at a nearby restaurant. Beautiful walk on the beach and sunset. Helpful and courteous staff. Just a offer all fantastic visit."

Location was great. Very well maintained. Great access to beach and service for umbrellas. Quick food nearby which was good. Store for fishing needs as well as food items needed close by. Overall when you get past the check in (I helped another couple having the same difficulty) it was a great experience. Might I suggest you remove the fact that you will have a locker with instructions and your name if you aren’t going to do it. There were some lockers with names but not mine and the other couple (during the day) said the same thing. Frustrating and no one could help on the phone numbers given. Had to just figure it out myself. "

"Sleeps three people not four
It is not possible for anyone to get onto the top bunk because there is no wait up there without climbing the whole bed. It sleeps three people comfortably not four. It was nice and clean but the toilet paper was very very rough. I was woken up the second morning there by maintenance in the next condo. They did not respond to me when I ask them if they could try not to be so loud. For this being a vacation spot I think they should respect everyone's mornings much more. The elevators are hotter than outside. It was a nice place to stay but for some reason the price was $270 per night but I found it available for less than $160 after booking. I don't like how the prices swing so much. If I had time to book sooner I would have booked something else. I do feel like I was robbed for that price I could have gotten something much nicer."

Comfy & cozy with great views, but furnishings are a little tired. It’s a long slog through grasses & mud from the end of the boardwalk to the beach; not sure why the boardwalk wasn’t built across this area as well. Bring your own pillows unless you like sleeping on flat rocks. A small investment in some decent pillows would make a big difference in guest comfort."

"Great place for a quiet getaway
After an initial snafu regarding our rental charge (which was cleared up pretty quickly with a phone call), we found our rental property easily. Check in was super easy and the after hours boxes are a great idea! Loved the condo. It was perfect for my wife and I for an anniversary celebration. The condo would be good for a family with one or two small kids, as the two hallway bunks would not be great for kids over about 8 years old.
The condo was very well-kept and had everything we needed. Nice balcony. Is a good walk to the beach over the dunes, but not too bad. The beach was amazing! We love places that don’t have the large condos as we don’t want to be around big crowds. Super quiet and great for long walks ok the beach. Highly recommend heading left in the beach and going to the point. Lots of wildlife and beautiful. Loved that the condo complex emphasized quiet by the pool, but still super family friendly. Never had to ask for anything from the staff, but saw them around during the day.
Overall this place is a ten! If you need a night out head to Pirates. Is .7 miles away and has a cool vibe with a pool, bar, and restaurant with great seafood.
We highly, highly recommend this condo if you are a person that likes a quiet, uncrowned beach vacation. We will be back!"

"Perfect. I would rent again.
Perfect space for a family of 4 adults. Had an amusing first day, when we had to be rescued from the balcony. The sliding glass door falls into a “divot”, making it difficult to pull open with the door handle. The Maintenance man climbed up to the balcony with a ladder, because the front door was chained. He was able to lift the door and open. He said he would be replacing the door track.
We all had a good laugh."

"Beautiful and clean space but bring an air mattress
We really enjoyed the island and the room had a beautiful view. It was mostly quiet with other families staying throughout the Inn.
We never met anyone that worked there. We arrived after they had left for the evening and no one ever said hello or came out of the office during our entire visit. It was different. Not really a complaint, just noticed it was managed differently than any other place we had visited.
Our only issue was the bed. The mattress was worn out and we were both struggling from lack of sleep and back pain by the end of the trip. It honestly had the feeling of an overly used hospital bed. Understandably, no bed has the same comfort of your bed at home but a new mattress and frame is needed in this room.
Our son enjoyed the bunk beds.
We were impressed with the cleanliness and safety of the Inn.
We really enjoyed the beach and the island was a great place for families."

"Nice Quiet Area
Nice condos with varying amenities in each unit. We stayed last year in a much better stocked unit and were unprepared this year to not have measuring cups or decent knives. The location is within walking distance of several restaurants. The beach is nice and not overly crowded. The water is less blue/clear than further down the coast line. The walk to the beach is extensive. About half of the walk is on a boardwalk which is nice. The other half is in sand which is a bit more difficult. Increasing the length of the boardwalk would improve the experience of getting to the beach immensely. Pools were clean and well maintained. The best part is that it’s quiet and not overly crowded like further down the coastline. "

The condo was in a nice location, with a beautiful view but that did not make up for the horrid bed! We had read one previous review prior to our stay, that said the bed was awful. we didn't listen and boy did we pay! the first night neither my husband or i barely slept. the second night we thought might be better - NO! Then we tried sleeping on the sofa and a bottom bunk that was in the hallway. the bunk bed slept better than the bed in the only bedroom! Not at all what we paid for! we would get up in the morning both of us complaining about how bad we slept and felt because of that horrid bed! the owner needs to replace it NOW! when i told the person at the desk about it she didn't even write it down and I felt like nothing would result from it. when you go on vacation, you hope to rest and relax, not come home and go to the chiropractor!"

My husband and 2 sons (13/15) traveled to Dauphin Island July 27-Aug 3rd and booked Condo 208. When you walk in, it smelled fresh and was very clean. Our view from the balcony was breathtaking. The electric grill did wonders for our Kansas City bbq! The kitchen had every essential we needed. There was a small flatscreen with DVD player and many DVD's and cable for late night lounging. The beach was NOT crowded at all and the white sand was so pretty. We will definitely be returning every year! The management was nice and informative and very clean pools (cleaned every morning). The grounds were kept up as well. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable.🏖❤🌴 Don't forget to check out Lighthouse bakery, Rainbow pizza across from Inn and catch a sunset along the pier by bridge. - The Beck family "

That condo looked clean ,but it had a smell as you walked in the door and the bathroom smelled like pee. The bed was hard the pillows were terrible the bunk bed slept better than the big bed. This was a girls trip so we swapped beds every day . The patio was fine and the furniture on the patio. I would only stay here again if I couldn't find something else . "Our Happy Place!
We love staying at The Inn because it's easy to book, clean, and has an awesome location. The pools are always clean and well maintained as well. This particular trip was awesome in terms of marine life. We saw tons of dolphins, some only about 20 yards from shore, lots of hermit crabs, sand dollars, and sand crabs. We enjoyed the laid back feel of Dauphin Island and enjoy doing nothing but playing on the beach during our stay. The beach is not busy at all and the best for families. We always have dinner at The Islander because their food and service is unbeatable. "

"Yep, it's a beach condo!
This was a fine beach condo with great beach access and well maintained pools. This location was nice and quiet with no rowdy groups. The unit was in good condition except one of the bunk beds had so much sand in it on our arrival that my daughter had to sleep on top of the covers until we washed the sheets ourselves. Also the bunk bed ladder was hidden in a closet when we got there. We had to get our own trash bags and toilet paper (two rolls were supplied). I feel like they should supply those things as well as dishwashing liquid; you're relying on the previous renters to have actually washed the dishes with soap that's not provided. Two packs of dishwasher detergent were provided, though. Our dishwasher wouldn't start, but maintenance promptly reset it. Overall a good property, just bring your own housekeeping supplies or go buy at the Ship & Shore for c-store prices. "

A nice condo with easy access to the beach. Located within walking distance of unique restaurants and shops.We came just before the Memorial Weekend rush, so it was nice and quiet. Condo was well stocked with kitchen needs, plenty of towels, washer/dryer, etc. The living room furniture could have been comfier and a pull out sofa would have been nice, but overall a nice condo for the amount of time we spent inside. Our biggest issue was the pillows - they were super flat! It was great having the pools as an option as well on windy days."

A perfect space for a family of 3...and budget friendly! Clean unit. We would definitely go back. Drawbacks/suggestions for future: 1) we were stressed by the fridge instructions saying to wait 24 hours for it to be up to temp. We bring groceries for the week with us ?? Not cool! 2) this is our first time at this unit (2 previous times at the same location just different unit) and comparatively, we felt this unit was very stingy with the things provided such as TOILET PAPER, hand soap; dish soap, laundry soap, dishwashing soap. Yes, it was stated we would need these things so it's just an observation bc the other unit was quite stocked."

We had a wonderful two weeks in Dauphin Island! This was our second time staying at The Inn at Dauphin Island and we love it! Our accommodations were clean and comfortable except for the bed, it was too hard and not very comfortable. But other than that everything we needed was provided. The condo was beautifully furnished and we felt right at home. My husband fished from the beach in front of the condo and caught a 46' King Mackerel! He was in heaven! We will definitely return to Dauphin Island and will definitely stay at The Inn at Dauphin Island!"

We absolutely fell in love with the Island. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. Our condo at The Inn in Daulphin Island was everything we hoped for. The only issue we had upon our arrival was that the ice machine was crammed full of old ice so that it wouldn't make any new. We just cleaned it out and then he produced plenty of ice for our stay. Also, the walkway to the beach held some stagnant water that we definitely wouldn't walk through and dragging our beach buggy around it was difficult, but it didn't keep us from enjoying hours on the beach. We can't wait until next year!!!"

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff was friendly and very helpful. When we notified them that the grill was non-functional, a replacement was supplied later that day. Our only complaint is the exterior light while helpful at the door, also resulted in too much light in the bedroom at night. Additional window coverings in the bedroom would lend to a better night's sleep. The pool areas were clean and well maintained. We loved the view, the easy access to the beach, and the quiet overall atmosphere. "
