"Four Generations
The Beach Club on Dauphin Island NEVER disappoints! Our family has been coming to the island ever since our daughter attended Spring Hill College in Mobile.That has been nine years and we keep coming back! This year we brought one of our daughters and her two children with us and my parents. The condo was on the third floor with a gorgeous view of the Gulf for my elderly parents to enjoy; and large enough for all of us! The staff were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. We are already planning next year's visit!"

"Dauphin island
The rental condo was absolutely amazing the elevator was a great help getting everything up and down because we stayed on a third floor. The views out of the living room and the master bedroom of the ocean were absolutely gorgeous! There was plenty of linens and towels the kitchen was very well stopped the overall cleanliness was a 10/10. We would definitely be back!"

"More negative than positive
First let me say that our vacation had to be set back a week due to some personal issues. Management DID allow for us to come a week early and not charge us extra or make us have to cancel our trip for my daughters sweet 16 due to an incident we could not control. So BIG KUDOS for that!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Then there is what the management might now have been able to control (not sure how it works and if each condo is individually owned) BUT the beds were like rocks. I spent our vacation on the couch. The condo was not decorated. It looked like a rental, plain, miserable, dreary rental. The beach is a very long walk with kids and all their gear.
Again, I sincerely appreciate the change in rental dates but I’m afraid we paid dearly for the change in condo. The one we had secured before our incident looked much much nicer! "

"Great Price, Perfect Location
#303 is a roomy 3BR/3BA with all of the supplies we needed. This was a girl's trip of 6 nurses, in desperate need of a break during the second week of August! Nicely lit, well-kept boardwalk to the beach, 2 pools conveniently located on the property as well, VERY affordable, easy booking, great communication. The unit had enough bathing linens (bring your beach towels), pots and pans, glasses and plates, and other dishes. We had all we needed for a girl's trip. A few negatives for us was the refrigerator needed replaced, it was old and smelly. We added a box of baking soda to the freezer to help. Some of the mattresses need updated, they were pretty worn out. And lastly, the place could have used a good dusting. None of these issues are deal breakers for our group. Overall, we were generally satisfied and would stay again for sure. This is my 3rd stay at DI Beach Club (each at different units) and I enjoy this spot of the beach for the price. I haven't experienced a poor quality unit yet. "

Overall the stay was pleasant. Beach weather was good and Chaise and Rays always adds to the great beach experience.
As stated in a few other visitor comments for this unit, the beds / mattresses were NOT good. They need to be replaced. The toppers that we provided helped, but mattresses are still lacking. Sliding glass doors to the deck need to either be repaired or replaced. They Cannot be Locked to keep small children inside. The refrigerator was small and OLD - with rust and wire coat hanger holding condiments on the door. Ice maker did not work. In comparison to other units we have rented, this one is not a "keeper". "

"Great Value!
The pictures don't do this unit justice. It is MUCH bigger than pictures show. It was a great value for sure to be on the beach and able to stay in 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom for the amount we paid. Only negative was that all three rooms had really poor mattresses so bring a mattress topper if you want to sleep comfortably. It was still a great experience and great unit!!!"

"Business and Pleasure
Stayed at the Beach Club while on a four-day business trip to Mobile. Really enjoyed the view, the beach and the pool! The cost was no more than staying in a decent hotel but the experience was way better."

We had a wonderful stay. The property is very nice. The view and proximity to the ocean is fantastic. The beach is outstanding and the pools were very nice. The property has everything you need although somewhat sparse supplies of toilet paper and so on. We liked the people in the rental office - very accommodating. "

"Sadly Very Disappointed
Exterior was in need of TLC. Pool was dirty. Grounds were shoddy; walkways and stairwells filled with leaves, rocks, dead bugs. Outside our door was a pile of swept up sand and debris. We had to step over it to get in and out. interior was clean but also in need of TLC; the sheets had stains, there were hairs stuck in the sheets; the disposal had a very very foul odor coming from it. I tried everything to clean it. Smell was so bad that we didnt even use the kitchen. There were no pool chairs around the pool. The lights on the walkway to beach were not turned on at night. Just disappointing all around. We left after one night because it was just depressing. "

"Last minute trip
The condo was more spacious than we expected. We normally rent a house. The only problem we had was the sliding door from the living room was very hard to open. Was a long walk to the water but a great view. Kids loved the pool."

"Summer 2017 Ellison Family Vacation
Our vacation rental experience was great. The keys were in the lock box whenever we arrived. The directions and key codes were emailed to us before our arrival date. The directions were easy to follow. I would like to see the rental unit have a few updates such as the refrigerator, the sliding doors were difficult to lock and with the tropical storm some water came in under the door, and the decor was outdated. We LOVED the view from the great room and the third floor balcony. We enjoyed the pool and especially the beach. The pictures were well done because it captioned the view perfectly on the internet. Overall, We had a fantastic family vacation."

It was decent. The room could have been cleaner and several things were broken or didn't work properly. The main sliding doors did not close all the way. A chair was broken, but you only know if you sit in it. And the dishes all needed to be washed - they were disgusting. "

"Family Vacation
This was a wonderful trip for our family. The facility was clean, neat, well decorated. The view was wonderful! We watched the Shrimp boats with dolphins trailing behind every morning from the balcony. The beach was not crowded and was very family friendly. Awesome! "Fantastic Family Vacation 2016
This was our first family vacation with our adult children and 21 month old granddaughter. We couldn't have been happier. The unit was spacious, beautiful and well stocked (except maybe cutlery). The view was breath taking. Sitting on the balcony with my coffee between 5:30 and 6:00 in the morning I was even treated to the sight of a fox traveling back and forth. We voted to return every summer for a repeat experience?"

We spent 5 nights at the Beach Club and it was lovely. The island could not have been more beautiful. The condo could have used a good deep cleaning but it was clean enough. The views were amazing. The pools and grounds were clean and well kept. The location was ideal. "

"Relaxing week
The unit was great the only complaint was the balcony doors were very hard to open and close and the balcony doors in the bedroom would not open at all. Other than mosquitos and a school group of what seemed like 50 children that came during our stay it was awesome. We will come again. "

"Dirty pool
This was always our family vacation spot. Loved the island. The beaches now very far,from the condos and therefore no longer worth the price. Since the beach wa so far, we opted to stay at the pool more. Pool was very dirty with debris. Frequently saw guest getting the nets and cleaning the pool themselves so their children could swim. My husband included. Walls of pool were dirty and the pump and return system did not have clear filter pressure. Several guest called the office to complain and they stated the pools were only cleaned in the mornings. Clearly the walls of the pool were not cleaned daily. Condo was really nice and clean it's a great view. Sad beach has moved so far way after hurricane Katrina. Even sadder we won't be back."

"Fantastic stay!
Thr condo was very clean! We stayed in a three bedroom condo and it was very spacious and nicely/comfortably decorated. Gorgeous view of the beach and ocean (We stayed on the third floor)! The private beaches were clean and well maintained. The walk to the beach was the only down side... it wasn't THAT far but just far enough away from the walkway that you dreaded the walk lol. The condos are also close enough to restaurants that you could walk of you wanted. All in all I would definitely recommend staying at the DI Beach club to anyone. Loved it and hope to be back next year!"

The living room furniture is worn and felt the condo needed new furniture, was too low to get up and down from comfortably. Had problems with the elevator on several days. Loved your poem "once you have slept on an Island". Met some great people during the week."

"Met expectations
My sisters and a friend and I stayed a week in the DI Beach Club in March 2014. The view from our balcony was spectacular. With the colder weather, the shore birds had not yet made their migration, so bird watching was a bit of a bust, but our excursions to Biloxi, Mobile and New Orleans were very do-able drives. I'm not sure what the island is like during high season, but there were not alot of crowds anywhere this week. The condo was sufficient for the week. All the furniture sat low, which challenged our older knees. Of course, it all depends how much time you intend to spend inside. There were general maintenance issues - the front door lock needed attention and the sliders did not operate freely. These were left in a list at the desk when we left, so perhaps they've been addressed. All in all a satisfactory week."
