Guests of 17 Port Tack can relax in the Private Pool
overlooking the tranquil Lagoon or take a leisurely bike
ride to the beach! Guests can also rent a kayak &
explore the 11 Mile Lagoon System that winds it's way
throughout the Resort or enjoy the miles of Bike Paths
within the Palmetto Dunes Resort. The Dunes House
with it's beachfront bar & dining is also available guests
with limited free parking.

18.) CANCELLATION POLICY- For a refund of moneys, cancellation must be in writing and received 91 days prior to your arrival date. The cancellation fee will be 10% of the rental rate. Cancellations within 46-90 days will result in the loss of the 40% deposit unless we are able to re-rent the Dwelling for the same rate and time period. No refunds will be made for cancellations received 45 days or less prior to arrival unless the Dwelling is re-rented for the same rate and time period. If the Dwelling is re-rented, then a 10% cancellation fee will apply. For this reason, we highly recommend that you consider purchasing the optional travel insurance.

Selena and Pool Superstar, Nathan Bass were the BEST and made out stay even MORE impressive! We really loved this home and the hot pool and jacuzzi! Sea Turtles Getaways is also the BEST management company on the entire island. So thank you all so much!"

"Fantastic Location
It was a pleasure staying at 17 Port Tack. The location was perfect- it is tucked away back in the neighborhoods of Palmetto Dunes, away from the hustle and bustle closer to the center of the plantation. The house was only a few minutes walk from the beach. The pool/outdoor space was very well maintained. The dock was an added bonus for those who enjoyed fishing. The house was very clean, very spacious and conducive to gathering as a family for dinner and games. The kitchen is perfect for eating in. It also had plenty of space to spread out as well. We will be returning to 17 Port Tack in the future. "

"Lovely, Convenient Home in Palmetto Dunes
We had a great week. The home is located in a nice neighborhood with a view of both the lagoon and golf course, so very scenic and private. The house has been renovated so all the amenities are there. The only suggestions I would have is to replace the sleeping pillows in the master bedroom and perhaps some window coverings for privacy in the main living area of the house. Overall it was very comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely rent again."

"Misleading photos
Overall, the home was not as well maintained as the photos would lead you to believe. The rugs were DIRTY, the bathrooms had mold (in the showers!) and all of the sliding glass doors leading to the back patio were FILTHY with a lot of dead bugs in the tracks. Considering how much we paid to stay for the week, we were expecting a much higher level of cleanliness and maintenance. We took pictures. Also, a storm came through on the Wednesday night of our week and there were LOTS of downed tree limbs, branches, and leaves not only all over the property but in the pool as well. We never heard from the management company / property manager about clean up. We had to spend our vacation time cleaning the pool the best we could without any equipment, just so it was at least acceptable to swim in. Again, we have pictures."

MY wife and I stay at 17 Port Tack for 2 weeks. Location was great. House was very clean and the management company was very responsive to a few issues we encountered. Only suggestion would be to upgrade glass wear as all of the wine glasses were plastics and no cocktail glasses It would be better to have a propane gas grill and a kureig coffee pot"

"Perfect stay
We spent 5 nights here to celebrate my daughters first birthday. The house was gorgeous and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need which came in handy as going out to eat with a one year old is hard. My husband spent hours every day fishing and we loved walking around the shaded neighborhood. We felt very safe here and can’t wait to return.

Check in /Check out could not be any easier. Just punch the code into the keypad on the door and that’s it. Sea Turtle Getaways is professional but also they were very kind and pleasant when I called to make the final payment. We can’t to come back! "

"Good home at an excellent location
The house is well furnished and equipped to comfortably host 6-8 people and the back yard views and setup are beautiful! Some improvements will enhance the quality further - there are white lights in most rooms and warm bulbs will be better, especially during colder weather. Secondly, the living room windows and French door can do with blinds/curtains for some privacy at night. Maintenance was sub-par with one shower not providing hot water and it took a couple of plumber visits for a temporary solution, and also some cleanliness issues (some dirty dishes). Nevertheless, a very enjoyable house."

"A Wonderful Place to Unwind
The home is as described - a well-equipped house in a great location. Spa/pool is beautiful. The back patio is a great place to have a cup of coffee and watch the birds. For us, the master bed was very firm and the TV in the living room is framed so that it is not possible to hook up a firestick - minor things, but they might matter to you. The property management company really does a great job at helping you have a great stay."

"A Lovely Home
My husband and I stayed in this home for a week in September. The house was clean and pleasantly decorated. The kitchen was really well stocked with pans, plates, kitchen appliances much better than some rentals we have stayed in. The location was perfect for us very close to the beach but very peaceful, we watched the golfers over coffee in the morning and the kayakers in the evening. The only recommendation I would suggest for the property is the addition of a smart TV, not a big deal, but when we had nights in it would have been a bonus. Would definitely stay again in this property. "

We have been coming to Hilton Head since 2010 and have been in different properties from condos to fourth row. This was by far the families favorite house. It was super cozy and comfy and beautifully kept and maintained. Being on the lagoon gave us a new opportunity of something different do, fish on the lagoon and we loved it! We had , probably the best vacation in our years of coming to Hilton Head and I think it had to do with feeling like we were at home! Every year, there is so much time spent scrolling sites for the perfect vacation home and sometimes you don’t find it. We did ! So, thank you Sea Turtle Getaways. The Thome Family ♥️ Port Tack 17!!!"

"Memories Made at 17 Port Tack
We had a wonderful time in Hilton Head and loved our rental house. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and made us feel like we were "living the life" during our stay! It was just a short walk to the beach and the outdoor shower helped us keep the sand outside, rather than bringing it in. There was a full-sized washer and dryer so we could launder our beach towels if we wanted to. I also liked that I could use the vacuum cleaner and other household supplies to help us maintain the home with our 8-guests.
The only thing I would note is that housekeeping did not do the greatest job cleaning before we arrived. We found a pack of gummies under a bed and gum wrappers in a closet; not a big deal, but I would think those items would be noticed by the housekeepers. Overall though, it's an A+ "
