North Coast Sanctuary is an architectural gem perched on four acres above the Pacific Ocean near the seaside village of Trinidad. An exclusive vacation home for those seeking a peaceful, uniquely tranquil experience where the beauty of art, architecture, and nature nourish the body and soul. The style and craftsmanship of this custom, luxurious, multi-level home is a one of a kind peaceful retreat filled with beautiful art and surrounded by the sights and sounds of the sea. A perfect getaway to restore the mind and body while gathering with family and friends. The interior design combines the elements of wood, glass, and slate in balance & harmony with the natural surroundings of Redwoods and sweeping ocean views. Guests will love relaxing in the hot tub while soaking up the breathtaking ocean views after a day hiking in the Redwoods. Outdoor entertaining galore w/ a propane bbq, horseshoe & fire pit for roasting marshmallows and staying warm while stargazing at night.
The spaciousness of this large coastal home on 4 pristine acres offers plenty of room to retreat inside or out! The open, airy concept allows for easy, fun filled gathering. Soak up the ocean views from all 3 luxurious bedroom suites of this estate. Sleep up to 6 adults & 2 kids w/ add'l bunk bed room. Lounge in the upper living room and soak up the heat and ambiance of the gas fireplace while watching tv (extended cable and an active Netflix account for fun viewing). For a quieter place to relax, step down to the lower living room encased by large sliding glass windows, grab a drink from the wet bar and sink into the feeling of being surrounded by the sea. The large, open kitchen is a cook’s dream that includes: a large island with a gas stove & breakfast bar, high quality stainless steel appliances including an Electrolux oven, refrigerator w/ double freezer drawers, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig, French Press and a regular coffee maker for serious coffee drinkers! The shelves are stocked with a wonderful supply of pots & pans, dish & glassware, spices and condiments, local coffee & granola to welcome guests.
Each of the deluxe bedrooms w/ King & Queen beds have en-suite baths. Step up a short stairway into the master suite, a romantic sanctuary w/ breathtaking seaside views, a gas fireplace, T.V., private balcony, bathroom w/ a large walk in shower and dual shower heads. Step down a short stairway to the 2nd bedroom, a lovely place to rest & relax with a Queen bed, T.V., desk, bath w/ a deep soaking tub & shower and large sliding glass doors that open onto the deck w/ a hot tub. The 3rd bedroom is located on the South wing of the home, offering privacy, more coastal views, a T.V., built-in desk for guests needing to work while away and a bathroom w/ a beautiful slate stall shower. There is an additional, very small room, best suited for children w/ a set of twin bunk beds for groups of up to 8. The powder room and laundry room are located down a nearby hallway.
The expansive lawn, gardens & decks create an outdoor oasis to get immersed in the sights and sounds of the sea. Take a short downhill walk (.3 mile) to Baker Beach, a secluded cove known for it's beauty and also preferred by clothing optional.
*Please note this home does have Ring for security purposed only, on the front of the house at the door and one facing the back yard.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Relaxed & Flexible
Should you wish to cancel a reservation, notice of cancellation MUST BE IN WRITING via email. *Cancellation policies may vary depending on the platform used to book the home, (Relaxed Policy), Airbnb (Strict Policy), TripAdvisor, etc. whose policies will prevail. Bookings cancelled at least 14 day before arrival: Receive a full refund minus $75 ($50 cancel & $39 non-refundable booking fee) Bookings cancelled less than 14 days to arrival: Receive a 50% refund Bookings cancelled 7 days or less to arrival: Non-refundable
RESERVATION ALTERATIONS OPTIONS:
Guests cancelling less than 14 days to arrival may make a one time reservation date change for the same property, without a fee for the same calendar year, or renter may take a credit for a future stay at the same property, without a fee for the same calendar year. No rental refunds will be given for circumstances beyond our control such as planned or unexpected PG&E power outages, road closures, weather related issues or other “Acts of God”. When possible we will offer a one time reservation date change for the same property within the same travel season.
DAMAGE PROTECTION FEE: charges a $39 non-refundable damage protection fee. This fee protects guests for up to $500 in accidental damage that may include: stained bedding or linens; broken lamps, glassware and windows; damaged doors, walls or furniture; torn screen doors, etc. This fee does not cover normal wear and tear. After a guest’s departure and inspection of the home, management will notify the responsible party of any excessive damages including photos, a description of the damage and an assessment of the cost of replacing or repairing the damaged item that exceeds $500. Any cost over $500 required for this repair or replaced item will be charged to the credit card on file. We encourage guests to do a thorough inspection of the property upon arrival and notify management of any existing damages, stains, or broken items so as not to be held responsible.
COVID Related Cancellation - Cancellations made by either the guest or for any stays made after March 14, 2020 due to COVID-19 related circumstances such as: illness, transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable law; and other government mandates—like evacuation orders, stay at home orders, border closures, prohibitions on short-term rentals, and shelter-in-place requirements will not be considered an extenuating circumstance and our cancellation policy will apply as usual. After the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization, this extenuating circumstance no longer applies because COVID-19 and its consequences are no longer unforeseen or unexpected and are considered a known travel risk. We offer travel credit and reservation date changes as options. Please carefully consider this and our cancellation policy when booking.
