San Diego Zoo:

The first exhibit you'll see at the San Diego Zoo is the much-photographed Flamingo Lagoon. Also near the entrance is the Children's Zoo, which features 30 child-size exhibits, the Petting Paddock, and a baby animal nursery. These are the best stops for children, along with the Wegeforth Bowl (home of the popular Sea Lion Show) and the Hunte Amphitheater shows. Then there's the Giant Panda Research Station, home to the San Diego Zoo's most famous residents.

Other attractions include Polar Bear Plunge and Elephant Mesa, where you can watch the chimps play and listen to colorful birds sing. The whole family will enjoy the gorilla and orangutan exhibits. And, while it's easy to be enraptured by the animals, don't forget that the San Diego Zoo's broad mesas and steep canyons host an astounding variety of tropical and sub-tropical plants. Many feature interpretive signage with information about their country of origin.

Wild Animal Park:

Your first Wild Animal Park greeting comes through the calls of exotic birds as you walk through the African Aviary. A few steps away lies Nairobi Village, a tropical paradise surrounding the beautiful Mombasa Lagoon. This bustling Village is home to shops, restaurants, animal exhibits, and activity centers; it's a good place to stop, check the map, and plan your day. Since Nairobi Village is located the heart of Wild Animal Park, it's a convenient "base camp" you can return to for rest and refreshments. Kids love the play area in Nairobi Village, as well as the Petting Kraal and baby nursery. And all ages have fun feeding the birds at Lorikeet Landing.

When you head out into the bush, don't miss the opportunity to ride the famous Wgasa Bush Line Railway. You'll see what makes the Park unique- giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and hundreds of other animals freely roaming in herds over large areas of scenic natural habitat. Other favorite treks include Heart of Africa, Gorilla Habitat, Condor Ridge, and Kilimanjaro Safari Walk. A Wild Animal Park show is a treat for the entire family. Elephants surprise you with their smarts at Elephant Presentation and birds teach you a thing or two at the Bird Show. Along the way, trees and botanical gardens add to the beauty of the experience. These exhibits are opportunities to see wild animals up close and, in some instances, to help out at feeding time.

Sea World:

Where can you look a shark in the eye and live to tell the tale? Only at Sea World San Diego! One of California's premier family vacation and travel destinations, Sea World features some fabulous aquatic shows, amusements, and other adventures. No wonder both kids and adults love this place- it's educational as well as profoundly entertaining.

Sea World has a variety of great shows. A "must-see" is Shamu's Adventure (Hint: If you want a big splash, sit in the first 14 rows). Other Sea World institutions include Dolphin Discovery, Pirates 4-D, and Pets Rule, where dogs, cats, and pigs get into the act. Meanwhile, at Shark Encounter, you view hundreds of sharks in a huge habitat. Then visit a sea creature we all love- the dolphin at Rocky Point Preserve, where you can learn about them, watch them play, and maybe even feed one. Other Sea World crowd-pleasers include Penguin Encounter (yes, there's snow in San Diego) and Wild Arctic.

LEGOLAND California - one of San Diego's premier theme parks - ignites creativity in kids and adults of all ages. Feel the excitement grow as you approach the front entrance, where a 9-foot, bright red, LEGO dinosaur welcomes you to a day of color, amusement, thrills, and action!

LEGOLAND is divided into several areas- the Beginning, Dino Island, Explore Village, Miniland USA, Funtown, Knight's Village, and Imagination Zone.

Older kids (and adults) head for Imagination Zone, which features the LEGO TECHNIC Coaster. People of all ages also enjoy riding high above LEGOLAND on Fun Town's Sky Cruiser- but be sure to line up early for this popular ride. Fun Town has other appealing "transportation opportunities"- youngsters can fly a biplane, captain a LEGO boat, and even pilot a helicopter. Although every LEGOLAND area offers something for toddlers, Explore Village is an ideal place for them to start. It's home to the interactive Playtown and the Fairy Tale Brook boat ride. Castle Hill features not one, but two, exciting coaster rides- Dragon Coaster and Spell Breaker. Playtown is also one of five venues that offers a family-oriented theater experience. Be sure to take advantage of the many interactive play areas that are designed to stimulate both physical and mental activity in children and adults.

When you think "San Diego" think "beaches"- warm, wide, sandy, clean, perfect beaches! From Imperial Beach near the Mexican border to Oceanside in North County, you're never far from the sea. San Diego's pleasant climate lures visitors outdoors and into the water. There's so much to do- swim, surf, snorkel, walk, jog, bicycle, skate... you get the idea.

Home to the famous Hotel Del Coronado, this is one of San Diego's best beaches. Coronado lies across the bay from downtown and boasts the widest expanse of sand anywhere in San Diego County- which means plenty of room to sunbathe and play! The village area near the Hotel Del Coronado features upscale shopping and gourmet eateries.

Mission Beach / Mission Bay / Pacific Beach:

This area is a favorite among locals and tourists alike because of its miles of sandy beach and paved bike paths. Mission Beach's Belmont Park features the Big Dipper roller coaster, plus a host of carnival rides and other activities.

La Jolla:

"The Jewel of the Sea" is San Diego's premier coastal region, complete with a European-style village, upscale shopping, and dining- all just steps from the ocean. Families will enjoy snorkeling in La Jolla Cove or exploring the tide pools. Don't forget your camera; La Jolla's coastal scenery rivals anything along the California coast.

Del Mar:

Home to the world-famous Del Mar Racetrack and fairgrounds, this quaint village area along Coast Route 101 has beautiful beaches.

Encinitas and Leucadia:

These beaches are some of San Diego County's least crowded. They also abound with shopping and dining opportunities along Coast Route 101.

Home to LEGOLAND and world-famous flower fields, Carlsbad offers vast stretches of uncrowded beach and a fun village area with shops, restaurants, and a mile-long pathway for walking and riding.

All the amenities of home with a bonus ocean out our door. We stayed from Jan 14-21/15 and found our accommodations very comfortable, clean and spacious. We rented a car and found everything accessible within a maximum of 35min for our daily tours. This stretch of Imperial Beach is beautiful and quiet (the odd helicopter was training). Dealing with the owner Calie was a very positive experience and we would definitely stay again.

Great place, right on the beach! This condo is located in a quiet area at the southern end of Imperial Beach. It has a great view of the ocean, which is just a few steps from the patio. After an evening walk on the beach, fall asleep listening to the ocean waves. Five of us stayed there very comfortably and would stay there again!

Winter Paradise. This is a very comfortable condo located on the beach. The owner provides everything you need for a most enjoyable stay. There is a full size washer and dryer which allows for light packing! It is in a very quiet part of Imperial Beach, a short walk to the pier and shops. Just a half hour drive to all of the cultural and entertainment centers of San Diego. To stay here you would need a car since restaurants and night life are very limited in Imperial Beach. One caution is that there still appears to be some confusion with the condo association as to the legality of short term leases but we were not harassed by other tenants nor did it impact our stay.

Excellent Vacation Rental! I took my mother on vacation. This was our first time in San Diego and the rental was exceptional! The beach and the ocean was steps away from the patio. Mom and I walks the beach and even dined on freshly prepared seafood on the local pier. Very friendly and family oriented community! Condo was very close to major restaurants and supermarkets. We were minutes from major highways so sightseeing was easy! The condo owner really was a gem and did everything possible to make my first trip to San Diego unforgettable!

Awesome place on the beach. Very nice beachfront condo. Haven't been to this area since I was a kid, brought back some great memories. We spent some nice evenings watching the sunset and listening to the waves. I brought my dog and the owner is OK with pets, had a pet deposit, but no issues. Nice running along the beach, easy access to local shopping, plenty of places to eat out or to bring in. Stayed in off season so it was cool, but nice. Deposit was no issue, owner was quick to respond to questions and easy to work with. Overall a great vacation.

Nothing between you and the ocean. This statement is so true. Imperial Beach is a beach town just below San Diego. My boyfreind spent one week in a condominium that was everything that the advertisement said “Nothing between you and the ocean”. Right out the back door, you can sit for hours and gaze at the Pacific Ocean. At night, we opened the sliding glass door so we could hear the wave crash on the shore; wow the sound is so amazing. One morning, a dolphin swam past. We almost thought we saw his flipper wave a hello to us. We watched tons of sea birds flying, and then dive into the water. They will nose dive straight into the water; it is like watching an Olympic diver trying for that perfect dive. On a clear morning, you could see the Coronado Bridge and Coronado Island as well. Across the street is the Tijuana Estuary, the Tijuana river runs through it and if you keep looking east, Tijuana. You can even see the bullring. Imperial Beach pier is walking distance and on
Friday from noon until sunset, there are many vendors selling food and gifts and there may even be some local entertainment. On the pier, there is even a very nice restaurant, The Tin Fish excellent fish tacos. If you want to shop for groceries, there are a couple of grocery stores, I suggest Wallys. The main freeway is only just a couple of miles. Downtown San Diego is a few minutes’ drive. After walking, shopping, and site seeing, going back to Imperial Beach is a nice way to come down to earth and relax. Slow and relaxed with the sound of the ocean, life is good.

The Best Price Luxury Beach Front Condo. They say it's location, location, location and this has it and more. The view from every room is fantastic. Its great place to seat and read or just relax and watch the dolphins go by. You are centrally located to all of the activities Imperial Beach has to offer and yet you are in a quiet neighborhood that makes you feel at home. I highly recommend it for pet owners, the bottom corner unit along with the 2 patios makes a great area for your dog to observe and enjoy. The condo is fully stocked with everything you would need, the beds are fantastic. The master was so comfortable I asked the owner where I could get one. The owner is Kaylee and she is wonderful to deal with, very friendly. She called to make sure our trip went well and to make sure we didn't have any problems and returned our deposit quickly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a Beach Front quiet access to all activities that has pets or children.

Very clean inside, fully furnished, nice comfy beds and linens. You have a full service kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, coffee pot and microwave! Close to everything park your car and don't move it for the entire week you are there! I have 2 kids and they too had a blast! The Condo was very comfortable. The patio was great for lounging drinking coffee in the morning and people watching in the afternoon. We saw dolphins in the surf just before sunset, and the surfer and kite surfers were very entertaining!Great location to access the beach and restaurants! I loved this place and was sad when our week was over! We will for sure be coming back to this beach front condo!

It was very hard to leave! The condo was so well equipped we felt like we were at home! The best of both worlds, you didn't feel like you were in a big city, but yet when you wanted more night life it was a around the corner or a few minutes away. The views from our condo were spectacular especially the sunsets. The water was warm and clear and the beach was pristine. We swam to the pier, surfed and couldn't get our kids out of the water. Just recently returned from a wonderful week in March at Imperial Beach. This condo is beautifully situated steps to the beach, saves looking for parking spaces, and the beach chairs and boogie boards which helped keep three teenagers occupied all week.
The weather was gorgeous and the gentle sea breezes kept the condo cool at all times. The Patio was perfect for those afternoon drinks or sunbathing and the sunsets were spectacular. The condo comes very well equipped with a fully stocked kitchen and 2 TV's. Wonderful mountain bike/hiking/running trails right across the street there is a wildlife estuary. Owner is wonderful and attentive if needed and would highly recommend a stay to anyone. Can't wait to get back.

We stayed here in March 2013 and were extremely pleased with our choice. The condo was immaculate, designer decorated with lush furnishings and bed linens. The beds were so comfortable I had to pry my teenage sons out of them! I also hated to leave the gorgeous, luxurious master suite and did so only when I had to! Everything I needed to cook was in the kitchen. The view from the master deck was incredible! We could sit on our bed and throw a rock and literally hit the sand on high tide! Even the beach towels provided were extra large and extravagant! Kayli was very helpful and informative and cooperative. She is a wonderful host and provided us the ultimate in comfort. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it only if you want to feel pampered and rich while on vacation!!! The unit is gorgeous and just as described on the website. The complex is safe and secure and convenient to everything in San Diego County. We are in no way related or affiliated with
the owners and feel very lucky to have had such a terrific experience based on sight unseen booking online. Thank you so much for a great experience!! We hope to come back in the future and would definitely book any of Kayli's properties!

Awesome vacation! This was a fantastic place to stay! Furniture was all comfortable, all appliances worked well, lots of cookware, dishware provided and a real + for us...food storage containers for leftovers. Spent early mornings and late afternoons watching the surfers as we walked the beach or just enjoyed our balcony. Ruby's restaurant at the end of the pier provided us a great dinner one night and a great breakfast one morning! Walmart is about fifteen minutes away with other local grocery stores a little closer. Easy drive to Sea World, safari park, zoo, Disney, museums, Coronado. The Coronado Pool 5 min away was awesome for laps and kids swim right on the ocean! The only negative thing...we didn't stay long enough! Should we ever decide to return to the area I would definitely stay here again!

First, I highly recommend this property. Kayli is great to work with and overall the property was great! Great price! Great location! We had a great time! We wanted a vacation with all our grown up kids (6, total including the new son-in-law) before they scattered for school and life in general. We found this beach front condo listing and with only a one week notice, we were able to make the arrangements for our stay. Kayli, the owner, was great to work with. She responded to our emails/text messages very fast and was understanding and flexible regarding our needs. We stayed a full week and spent significantly less than trying to get rooms at a hotel for everyone with the benefit we were all in the same place, but with our own private space, too. The property has a great location. Your right on the beach, An easy walk to , shopping, and dining. The Condo is in excellent condition, nicely decorated and recently remodeled. There is plenty of room for 6 adults. The
kitchen/family area is spacious and accommodating. The patio is off of the master bedroom is large, with a great plenty of seating for eating or lounging. The master bed was so comfortable I never slept better! Other beds had foam mattress toppers which made them very comfortable for sleeping according to my kids. There is a lot of very comfy seating in the family room and elsewhere around the unit and a nice outdoor table and chairs on the patio. Overall, the experience was excellent and I would go back without hesitation. I hope we can swing it next year.

Wonderful experience and would do it again! It was an amazing property. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with any and all of our needs. We relaxed on the beach front patio and the carpet full of purple flowers overlooking the emerald blue shades of the ocean and the dolphins playing in the surf and the surfers doing their thing everyday. We enjoyed walking along the beach to the south and down to the river mouth on the white sandy beach that goes for miles. We went to Coronado Island a few minutes away, walked along the main strip to see all the amazing shops. We even bought some beautiful art work.

We were looking for a place to get away one weekend, a place of rest, beauty, tranquility and comfort. The moment I walked in, the warmth was in the details-the gilded mirror in the living room, hallway, the plush couch,It was a touch of elegance matched by cozy comfort. The details on the pictures, the fireplace looking out into the ocean, looked like something in the Caribbean, were what added to the exquisite feel of the place. The huge family room was perfect for all the conversations that happened in the evenings, the kitchen spacious enough to cook our intimate meals. In the afternoon, one could sit outside on the patio, listen to the sounds of the ocean and the drifting conversations down below, and if so desired, the ocean was right out the door and less than one-minute walk away, with a vista of amazing waves. Each bedroom had its own unique theme, and the mattress on the beds reminded me of the fairy tale, "The Princess and the Pea." The rest was incredible-for
mind, body and soul. With -in a few blocks was a quaint local coffee shop perfect for morning coffee and a people-viewing. All in all, my expectations for the week were superseded in every way, and I am looking forward to another visit.

This condo is lovely and truly "home away from home". My kids (13 and 8 years old} and I stayed a week in June. As soon as we arrived, we were so pleased that it was such a peaceful and relaxing hideaway. The large patios off the master-bedroom and one off the living room was great to sit and take in the ocean air. It was wonderful to have the beach as our backyard. The rocks have built in "steps" so it is easy to access the sand or walk less than a min. down the sandy path to the beautiful beach. The condo had everything we needed! It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. Very easy access to major attractions, the airport and Mexico. My one and only choice for our next San Diego vacation!

My whole family stayed at this property and had a fantastic experience. The owner was tremendously friendly and willing to please. The condo was quit comfortable for all 6 of us and the fresh air from the ocean breeze was so relaxing, we never slept so well! The kids love the the beaches and all the activities that were within walking distance! The adults loved walking and hiking and swimming in the ocean , just a few steps away! We celebrated a family member combined birthday and all 6 of us fit comfortably around the dining room table. We wanted for nothing in the kitchen appliance and accommodation area. We were right on the beach and only and 5 minutes from an array of stores and restaurants. We are coming back next year.

The condo was a 5 star, It was awesome for the kids. great surfing lessons right in front of the unit. Beautiful beaches. Just hanging on the patio we saw schools of dolphins just about every night, we loved watching the kite surfers and surfers. We played golf and swam laps every day within 10 min away. The dining was very elegant with great restaurants, shopping etc. Looking forward to many more vacations at our favorite beach front condo!

We have stayed in North Coast Village several times. This 2 bdrm unit was clean, comfy and had many extra helpful items in the kitchen. The 2 dbl beds in 2nd Bdrm are a plus and the master bedroom is great! Being on the top floor is quiet and two balconies another plus! The complex pools are well kept and grounds beautiful. If you have small kids remember mini golf clubs and ping pong paddles. We could walk to Coaster train and pier and the shops and restaurants.

If you are looking for a great relaxing vacation away from the crowded beach this is the place in San Diego. Here you share the beach with nature not people. Sitting on the rocks while watching the Dolphins swim by and all the birds is a spectacular sight. The condo itself was well equipped with everything you need. It is quite large and very comfortable for my wife and myself. We will be returning next year at the same time.

We did enjoy our stay at this location. We loved waking up and walking right out onto the beach and having breakfast while watching the surfers! The master bed was VERY comfortable and the sound of the ocean had us in the best deep sleep I could ever imagine! The location is great, almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! Our pets were so happy, it's such a nice pet friendly experience! We can't wait to come back this winter.

We had a very enjoyable few days in this sea-side condo. We found the property to be as advertised, with beautiful views of the beach, and all the amenities that made our trip relaxing and fun.

This gorgeous unit was so close to the Ocean, we slept to the sound of the Ocean every night! We vented our sliding glass door and could seriously roll right out with a few steps to the water, just like Kayli, the owner said. It was so reasonable and everything was in great working condition, and very neat and clean! There were plenty of linens and towels, and my wife who is hard to please has been talking about coming
back this summer! It's better to book early cause her dates book up real fast! Our pets loved hanging on the 2 patios side by side and had plenty of room and shade! We were very pleased!

We always stayed in La Jolla and now this secret place is our favorite! Everyone seems so nice and relaxed! We were so close to everything. We had 7 people and it never felt too crowded. They have a very large family / living room area! The location is very special cause one side is the Ocean and across the street is the estuary, exotic birds and running trails, great biking, and my kids said it was the best surfing in Southern ca. I know at the end of the day everyone crashed out like they had run a 50 mile marathon! It was a sight for sore eyes! We had a blast ! Just returned from our 4th stay! We loved the June weather!

The hardest part was trying to get our kids back in the car when we were leaving! There was a small kitchen that fit 2 perfectly! All the utensils and amenities we needed to cook for 6. It was so convenient to everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, the pier, great food and restaurants, so quaint! We rented surfboards and they had a special, then our kids came across the YMCA camp and loved it! We rode horses on the beach, that was our favorite, not to mention the dolphins that played in the surf and watched them while we were eating, just about every morning! Were definitely are coming back this summer!

Watching dolphins in the evening while catching a beautiful sunset of all different colors was the highlight of our vacation! Even our dog was in 7th heaven, hanging out with the family! The unit was very spacious, everything was in working condition. The dvd player was a little iffy , until we figured it out. We didn't care cause there was a variety of movies on the TV, and enough for everyone to stay super busy in this dream vacation spot! We have gone back 3 times and are coming again this summer!
