INTERIOR
You can sleep 4 in this comfy beach view property that comes with a queen size bed as well as a queen size sleeper sofa in the living area. This cheerful, ground level beach view unit gives a great side view of the beach, has a private master bedroom, an open kitchen, dining and living area as well as a spacious bathroom.

Linens for every bed and bath towels for every guest are provided. This property does not have a washer/dryer in it but there is a laundry facility with new equipment on the complex grounds. A two night minimum stay is required.

STARTING ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2019 AND LASTING UNTIL EARLY JANUARY 2020 OUR BEACHSIDE BUILDING (units 108-128 & 210-231) WILL BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. CONSTRUCTION IS FACTORED INTO THE CURRENT PRICING; NO ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 25% of the total reservation balance is due when the reservation is made. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival unless staying 2+ months then the first month's balance plus fees and taxes is due 30 days prior to arrival. Each additional month’s rent is due 30 days before the 1st of that month (i.e. March’s rent is due February 1st). Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to check-in will result in a $50 administrative fee that will be deducted from the original 25% payment. The remainder will be refunded to the guest by the same form of payment in which it was made. Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of the payments made. We recommend that any guest staying up to 180 days purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures.

"Great vacation weekend at El Constante
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was terrific, walking distance to the beach. Great ocean view (dune side of building) and very clean. We definitely will stay at El Constante again. "

"Great beach location
Awesome beach access and location. Nice pool. Overall really nice complex. 109 was reasonably priced and I would definately recommend and stay here again. That said, 109 HANDS DOWN has the WORST room rental BED ive EVER tried to be in. Wife agrees. The pull out sofa was better even with the classic break-back bar in place. Also, please paint once in awhile to update and hide the gross black moldy corners. And, the $5 Walmart mini-blinds..... no light or noise or look-in control. Please update with some beach appropriate non-absorbant curtains. The TV/cable NEVER worked, but i did not report or request help as my tween kid had a game console, and we benefitted from the TV hiatus anyway. Otherwise 109 was fine, really. "

"Good location, but unit needs updating
Overall this property was okay but I'm not sure we would stay here again. The short walk to the beach is great. The pool was nice but little smaller than expected and we didn't end up using it because it was too crowded. They don’t clean the rooms each day or replace the towels, but they will exchange your towels for you at the front desk, I liked that as I don’t need someone entering my room each day to make the bed and tidy up. The unit description "unmatched beach view" simply isn't accurate. The unit has a view of the beach access road; there is a slight beach view if you look down the row of rooms. This unit also needs updating badly. All the furniture is old, and both the bed and pull out couch were very hard and uncomfortable. Additionally, there is a large microwave installed over the oven but it is broken, and instead of fixing it there is a second microwave on the counter, taking up valuable space. Our family members booked another room (same size) for the same price but it was much nicer and more comfortable, recently updated with more counter space in the kitchen. However the biggest issue we had with this property (and the reason we probably won't return) was the booking/ payment policy, and the complete lack of a refund policy. We were required to pay a deposit at booking, then pay the full amount a few weeks prior to our stay. That wouldn’t have been an issue if it weren’t for the lack of a refund policy; we had to pre-pay the full amount and we would have lost all of our money if we had needed to cancel. If you require 100% of the money to be pre-paid weeks before the stay, you need to allow for at least a partial refund. That's a very unfair policy that the management team needs to reconsider."

"Subpar
Ground floor was helpful...but not a beach view unless you stand on the porch. Great view of the cars in the parking lot.

This unit was incredibly dirty. We noticed several things right off the bat (couldn't check in until after had to be "inspected" first...that's a joke. There was a screw on the floor as soon as you walk in, glad I was wearing shoes...granted it was hard to see on the dirty floor mat inside the door. A huge ball of human hair in the bedroom (easy to miss? must have been because I had to point it out). There was blood on the bathroom door, a stain on the couch, had to wash every single dish we used prior to using (lots of dust and some grime). There's much more but I am tired of thinking about it.

I immediately called the management company and they apologized and said they would send housekeeping back out and for the inconvenience they would move our unit and upgrade us. We saw another unit and loved it...clean, great view. However, when we said we would take it they tried to charge us a couple of hundred more dollars for the upgrade. Mind you this is almost 3 hours later and we're tired and HOT...Texas in midsummer. When I spoke with the manager she said she would have her manager call me but instead only made the first person call me back and say she was wrong and I was getting a great deal of 20% off the second unit...yet I was still going to be out of pocket even more money. Ranting now but it aggravated me. Never got the call from the manager like she said and had to beg for a discount on the first unit. I was not going to pay full price and spend two days cleaning for them (especially since you pay a cleaning fee).

Side note...when they sent housekeeping back I pointed out the issues I immediately saw, they took pictures and "cleaned it in 2 minutes flat. I went out and bought cleaning supplies and corrected it for them.

Oh, and the bed is REALLY uncomfortable. We will not be staying in this unit EVER "

"Coming to El Constante for 30 years
As always our stay at El Constante was enjoyable. The staff is the best. The condos are always immaculate and stocked with the basic necessities. It is a wonderful place to stay for families. This is why we keep coming back. First with our children and now with our grandchildren. The only negative comment I have is while it is wonderful that it is receiving a complete makeover be prepared for the noise and obstruction of views that comes witb renovation. "

"Dumpy Awful Place
We stayed here with every intention of going to the beach right outside the property but with the constant craziness of the public drive to the beach adjacent to the property it was just too much. The room was dirty with mold in the window sill, the ceiling was paper thin (you'd think giants were upstairs, but they were just children), and the whole place under construction (I wish I had known beforehand). The pool was always full of people not even staying at the hotel; one lady who was staying there literally passed out in the pool while we were there.... not fun. We were happy to check out at the unreasonably early 11am."
