"Not very satisfied
I was very disappointed that the parking area near our room was closed for repairs. I was never notified of this. The only thing I was notified of was that the pool/beach access area would be under repairs, which it was not, thank goodness, because we had to park in the back and lug all our stuff to the front of the complex to get to our room. I have rented this unit before and had a great experience, but I feel it needs some upgrades as far as the furniture is concerned. This is not an inexpensive unit, and I feel like the price we pay should have more excellent furniture."

"Back to the 70’s, the good, bad and the ugly!
Location is just about the only thing that almost makes unit 107 worth the cost. Although we didn’t come to the beach to watch TV, the operating system is very difficult to navigate. The unit appear to be clean, but the first visit to the one bathroom My nose was immediately aware of the strong smell of urine! Upon inspection, I found urine puddled around the base of the incredibly low toilet. Yuck, ��!!! Although a call to the management brought the cleaning crew back, the situation still left a uneasy feeling about the true cleanliness of the property. The throw pillows on the sofa are stained and smell bad, the dining table had food stains on the edge, ect. I stopped looking closely after that.
The whole place could use a really good cleaning, and some serious updates in the decor. Beach tacky is definitely out! All these issues aside, the poor construction of the building subjected us to listening to the family of six in the unit above loudly stomping non-stop until well into the night. At 2am we were awakened by what sounded like furniture being dragged across the floor. Ughhh!
At the pool we experienced two separate instances of catching our feet and hands on wads of hair, which I’m sure was as a result of the mob of teenagers that dominated the pool every evening. The location was the only redeeming aspect."

"El Constante
The condo was as described and steps away from the beach. The view was amazing, really enjoyed sitting on the patio at night listening to the waves. The only downside ( not any fault of the owner) is that other guest that were staying in pet friendly units always brought their dogs to the grass in front of our unit to relieve themselves. When your sitting outside trying to relax, and there’s people talking to they’re dogs about doing their business right in your line of sight it’s uncomfortable. Again, no fault of the condo owners, but the property should probably set up a specific area for the pets to do their business away from the units. Other than that, the stay was amazing!"

"JUST PERFECT
We so enjoyed our stay in 107. The room is well supplied, so clean, and accommodating. El Constante is incredibly nice and well maintained. You cannot be the proximity to the beach. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I stayed here 17 years ago and it is even nicer now. My family and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! We will definitely be back!"

It was a very cute condo, we loved the furniture. The only part that wasn't comfy was the mattress, it felt like it needed to be replaced. Not very comfortable to sleep on. Every time when we got in it felt like we were going to roll of the edge. Other than that things were great. We had some issues with the internet, they worked hard to get it working correctly, but finally had to contact the company,hopefully they got it taken care of."

The room is always clean and management is always friendly. If your looking for a getaway that's right on the beach then this is the place. We wont stay anywhere else. "

I love El Constante condos. I always stay there when we head to the coast and love that it is right on the beach. This condo, I have been trying to book since we started staying there. It is always booked! This is my favorite condo becuase of the view. When all windows are open, you have a panoramic view of the beach. It is an amazing view! It also have a big patio since it is the corner condo."

"Great location
Condo was nice and clean and excellent location overlooking the beach. The only issue we experienced with the location was the condo's pool. It is a very nice pool, but there was a bunch of small black bugs that bit our skin! The bugs were all over the pool and even in the hot tub. I'm going to rate based on the whole property and not just the condo. The condo room was good, but pool was not."

107. 10 plus years coming to El Constante. This unit is the best we have stayed in. Fairly recent refurb, King Bed, the best furnishings so far with decent tall back recliner and a good sofa. Patio is not shared a BIG PLUS. Possibly the best single bedroom rental at ground level beach front on North Padre."

Perfect spot to walk out the door and hit the beach. Nice being able to wash your feet off once you walk up from beach. Property management company very friendly and helpful. Property has all the basics you need. Didn't spend much time inside best part was the view from the porch! Beautiful sunrises! Inside was clean except for some patches of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom above the shower. Bed was not very comfortable. Overall great stay!"

"I love El Constante
I have stayed at El Constante several times over the years. I keep coming beck to the same place because the rooms are on the beach front and I can hear the waves even with the door and windows shut. The rooms are spacious and well supplied. Recently upgraded the room contains all the furniture and kitchen supplies ever needed. I love the porch where I can sit and watch and listen to the waves without having to actually walk to the beach as I am older and beach walking is difficult for me now. Unfortunately, the prices have now risen so high that we will probably never be able to return. That makes us very sad, because we really love the place."

We stayed in El Constante 107. The view of the beach was great and we enjoyed the private patio facing the water. Bed was good and the kitchen was well equipped so we could make some simple meals when we wanted to.
The condo's size was great for two people. We enjoyed the sound of the surf with the windows open.

I booked this the day before we left on the recommendation of a friend. Then I looked at reviews and I was concerned when I saw the bedbugs and bad smelling fridge. I would assume these people were angry about something and were trying to get revenge. I am a germaphobe and the property was very clean and in the perfect location. We had the patio to ourselves, it is right by the parking lot and the beach was right out our front door. This was our first time in Corpus, we usually go to S Padre, but I am sure we will be back here at some point. It is a quick drive from where we live. I highly recommend this unit! "

"Dated condo
We have stayed at these condos many times and this was our least favorite room. The location beach front was great, but the inside of this condo is very dated. The kitchen counters are crumbling from underneath. The fridge smelled like a dead fish (we were brought some baking soda from the main office for this), and the two people sleeping in the back bedroom came home with bed bug bites all over their feet. The construction workers from the side of the building were constantly going to the bathroom by the pool without masks on, walking frequently in front of our condo. We would have loved to enjoy the big patio facing the beach (which was the reason we booked this specific room) but with the constant stream of construction workers, and a workman (also mask less) reinstalling security cameras ON our patio multiple days in a row, it was impossible to enjoy. "

"How Can A Property Go Downhill So Fast?
Been staying there for many years and never had a problem. This time the staff was less then helpful, at times even rude and uncaring and unwilling to help solve the issue of an AC unit not working properly and the request for a blanket since the pull out bed did not have one. The storm came in, literally through the door. Stayed up all night to keep mopping the water off the floor to protect the property and my personal belongings. Staff had literally abandoned ship early in the afternoon and could not reach anyone. Still no staff the next morning but got a text then another saying disregard the last text after we had already left. Told them we had left and two days later are called and asked when we are checking out. DIRTY dishes, pots and pans in the cabinets. Things just thrown in the kitchen cabinets, electric wall outlets coming out of the wall in the living room. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED My family and I have always looked forward to our stay there and always felt welcomed and taken care of and never ever had an issue with the room. You can't beat the location, it's simply beautiful. As far as feeling safe, no. There should have been someone that told the guests what to do with the storm coming, provide sandbags for the doors. Surely they know the rooms flood because we we were not the only ones trying to keep the water at bay. We had to the staff the night before that the balcony door above us was open and being repeatedly slammed and beaten up by the winds. I wonder if the unit owners know how their units are being taken care of? Since the new company has taken over it has really gone downhill and the staff will tell that you as well. Security staff clearly not engaged, my truck was slammed into in the parking lot with extensive damage, asked to see if we could review their security camera video and no response. So a several thousand dollar stay down the drain. I vote with my wallet and will be looking for another place to stay. "

"Best Splurge Trip for Beach Lovers
This is the third time we have rented a room at El Constante, and we plan to continue our annual "splurge" trip next year. I love the beach - the surf, the sun, fishing, chilling out in my chair with a cool beverage and a book and/or spending time with my friends, my kids and grandkids. My husband does not particularly care for sun or sand though. The condo provides what he does like - air conditioned comfort free of sand and cozy furniture where he reads or watches anything he wants on TV. The forecast for Saturday was not promising for sunshine. However, we were blessed. Instead of seeing the sunrise, we saw the most amazing show of lightning over the water! The sky eventually cleared, so that by 11 am or so, the sun came out, just in time for a dear friend of mine to arrive for some long overdue chilling time at the beach. It's not a fancy place, but it is cozy and has everything we need for a weekend away from home. I highly recommend El Constante! "

POSITIVES: Nicely situated end unit; comfy bed; outside areas (pool and all grounds) clean and well-maintained; office and property staff polite. NEGATIVES: Unit interior, such as appliances and linens, are outdated, cheap and worn -- ex: needs more than a single, threadbare face/hand towel. Interior decor too cheesy. MUST GET BLACKOUT CURTAINS IN BEDROOM due to floodlights in breezeway (this one's a no-brainer). It wouldn't take much for owner to make it a lot more comfortable overall -- a little bit can go a long way."

This Condo is in the perfect spot for accessing the beach. I have stayed here a couple of times and unfortunately the property has had some type of landscaping or renovation going on where they use the concrete pad/picnic area to store their materials. Other than that the property is great with a very nice swimming pool. As for unit #107, it needs some upgrades. I know location has a lot to do with the price, but please update your appliances, and televisions. Also put better curtains in the bedroom to keep out all of the lighting that is right outside the bedroom window. Also the kitchen faucet has horrible pressure, please fix it. Thank You. "

Great location and proximity to the beach. Porch gives a great view. Just grab your chair and a drink and pull up to the water's edge.
If you want netflix, go somewhere else. Connection is too slow for anything but hulu. Guests above and next door can be heard easily so bring earplugs for sleeping."

You pay for the view here. Very close to the beach. Room is nice, bed is a king but needs replacing. Nice hot powerful shower. Living room TV needs replacing and is SMALL compared to other units. Unit needs more towel racks and updated kitchen sink/faucet. Property is ok and there was construction going on. Been coming down to this area for 20 years and it seems that any place on the gulf has had and will have construction going on. On this trip the construction was extensive to El Costante and I dont see it stopping for at least the next year. This is not hurricane damage, just updating. Cement around pool needs attention. Hot tub and pool need updating. Pool area also needs a shower. I would stay again knowing what I know now, just not sure of what unit. "

Overall a nice weekend stay. We had a nice beachside view and could walk to the beach from our room. We could view the beach from the room but the windows were cloudy and needed cleaning, the rooms were clean and we had the amenities we needed. The stove controller panel was broken but we managed. The unit was on the corner of the building so there was little privacy when sitting out since it was on a walkway."

The condo is cute and reasonable in price. Excellent beach access. Good pool. They have soap and paper towels for your first night or two stay. That was an extra perk I had not expected. I usually forget to bring that stuff. One disappointment was that we noticed sand in our bed that we are thinking was from the people that stayed before us. We are really hoping sheets are changed between people staying at the condo and thorough cleaning of the condo. For this reason I dont think we will be back. The front desk seemed like they didn't want to be there. Friendly front desk and clean condo go a long way with me. "

Very enjoyable. Nice accommodation and friendly staff. We liked the access to the beach. Even though we were next to the beach access road, it wasn’t that big of a deal, even with the traffic to the beach. If you want more privacy, this is not the ideal location, but this was not an issue for us. Overall, a nice place to spend a vacation."

I enjoyed the view and my stay. Staff was very friendly. Had to have a kitchen chair fixed. Phones needed fixed in rooms. Sink was leaking underneath and had to have it fixed. Tub would not drain. I had to pull a lot of previous hair out of it. Ewww. Furniture needs vacuumed after each stay. Very dusty dirty. For the amount of money it cost they should be more on top of the cleaning and repairs. Had a lot of problems getting in and out of the gates."

This is our third experience with Padre Escapes and we found this unit in need of some TLC. Our previous experiences were great. The unit is in need of a facelift. The comforter and pillow shams smelled like sweat and need to be washed. Pillows need to be replaced. Furniture in living room is old and smelly. Kitchen untensils need to be sifted for damage. It appears that the unit owner never sees it. This unit is secluded and in a great location. "

Perfect spot,sunrise and moon from your frt porch. Very clean beach,noticed alot of fish caught from the jetty 7 minutes away. Nice large heated pool and family atmoshere like a community. Met alot of people been coming here for years, its the best kept secret, very affordable. CAN'T BELIEVE ITS JUST A FEW STEPS FROM THE BEACH. We're coming back and bringing family. Beautiful beach! The king bed was a little high for us short people, but nice condo."

I’ve stayed at El Constante many times in different condos. Number 107 is a wonderful location on the corner with incredible views. It was very relaxing and just what I needed. The condo itself is very comfortable, bright and provides all the basic essentials. Everything was very clean except for the side of the fridge facing the stove. "Managements Integrity Saved The Day
We loved the beach view apartment. It went wrong from the start with getting a promised 1:00 check-in delayed to 4 PM. Front desk was not concerned. The faucet was replaced and a leak developed over the toilet, everyone that we met took care of the issues in a professional manner, we were checked back on by the property and maintenance manager for our feedback. As a retired construction and facility executive, I know they did their best work under poor circumstance beyond their control. The units are owned by individuals. Our daughter and two granddaughters as well as myself and wife enjoyed our time on the beach. Before we left we were contacted by Jeremy Clayton, co-partner of the firm inquiring as he heard we some challenges, he was concerned and directly spent revenue to make it right, he did not have to do it but by doing the right think, I will be back."

"Great location but old furniture
The location of the property is good but the fueniture is old , the dining furniture and the kitchen are very old fashion , The bedroom and the bathroom are okey but I think some furniture needs to be remodeled"

First time staying here.. great place! The room was awesome had a semi private deck that was just steps away from the beach! Didn't get to enjoy the pool but it was very inviting. Everything in the room was perfect... enough room... wanted for nothing. Will definitely book this room again. "
