Welcome to Peninsula Point! This spacious one-story home, located in a quiet, residential area is within easy walking distance of Balboa Pier. Plenty of cozy seating in the living area and an enclosed side patio with barbecue make the home a comfortable option for families looking for a more out-of-the-hustle and bustle rental.

Enter into a large, split living area with a couch - which folds out into a sleeper - and built-in bench seating on one side and, on the other side, two loveseats and a colorful bench on the other.

The light, bright dining room has a large oval table and six chairs. Just beyond, the updated kitchen has more than ample counter and storage space for serving up family meals.

The first bedroom is just off the kitchen with closet and an adjacent full bath with tub and shower combination. The middle bedroom has a queen bed, the back bedroom a king with a half bath in the hallway between. The back bedroom has a sliding glass door to access a rear deck.

• BR1: Master bedroom, king bed, adjacent full bath
• BR2: Queen guest room, shared hall bath
• BR3: King guest room, shared hall bath

Soak in the sunshine from three outdoor patios. The elevated front deck at the entry has a table and chairs for enjoying bay breezes. The side patio just off the kitchen has a gas barbecue. The back patio off the bedroom is unfurnished, but allows for lovely, cool airflow.

The garage is not available, street parking only.

Stroll to the surf for an afternoon of beach fun or walk on the sand or boardwalk – which begins a few blocks away – to the Balboa Pier area for an array of shopping and dining options—stop at Cabo Cantina for happy hour margaritas or Harborside for seafood and views of the bay.

Win classic carnival prizes at the Arcade, ride the Ferris wheel at The Fun Zone or cast a line off Balboa Pier and fuel up with burgers or salads at Ruby’s retro diner. The ferry ride to Balboa Island takes just minutes and opens up a whole new set of shopping and dining options.

***The fireplace is inoperable.

"Split Opinion
Pros: The location is ideal for the quieter beach area on the peninsula. Beds are comfortable. Living area is great for a small family and pleasantly decorated. Porch and yard both have outdoor dining options. Bedrooms are air conditioned. BBQ was good.
Cons: The only shower/tub appears dirty, pools, and needs to be replaced. Kitchen appliances are old. The stove cannot turn down to a simmer. Cooking tools are dollar store quality and pans are in trash worthy condition. On a busy corner."

"Gorgeous Getaway
The home is beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. OIT was perfect for our family getaway."

"129 G Street
This was my first time renting from Burr White. The property location was superb. And the house layout was as-advertised. But we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the house when we arrived. The shower was filthy and the beds weren't made. And we were disappointed that the house was not supplied with basic items that one would expect from a high-end rental like this (items such as a vacuum cleaner, sufficient paper towels and toilet paper, a few basic kitchen items like salt/pepper and olive oil, etc...). We booked our stay last minute and Jane was so helpful. We stayed in 129 G St. in Balboa and LOVED it. We found its location to be amazing with only a few houses behind us to the beach and across the street for the bay and fun zone. The home was darling and CLEAN. "

"129 G Street
House was large and suited our needs, but was in a bad location. Some of the furnishings needed repair. Example: the dinning room table would lean from side to side with little pressure and the chairs were not very comfortable. The bed in the back bedroom was not comfortable with a hard mattress. The rear sliding screen had numerous holes. Parking is bad all over but this property was especially bad due to the location. The house was clean, and having the small garage for our bicycles was handy."

" Fine for what it is
This was a last-minute booking to get my kids down to the beach. The location is good. The property is as advertised however it’s just barely a rental property. I think I clown at six dinner plates, six Miss matched balls and six drinking glasses glasses. Burr White Realty was excellent however. They were very professional and easy to deal with"

"Don't know if we will stay again...
We've stayed at this location for the past 4 years . This year was by far the worst time we've had. At the cost of booking this property for a week, one could expect the amenities to be of quality, but this was not the case. The beds all squeak as you toss at night from the discomfort of them. Not to mention they are urine soaked underneath those mattress pads (gross). The box fans are covered in dust and the blades are all broken. I mean they only cost $19.99 at your local Walmart. The vacuum that's been there for the last 4 years still doesn't work. There is only one t.v. in the entire house and these are things that are upsetting to a family that loves coming to this property every year. For the cost of this house weekly I could take my family to a resort for a week, but we actually love this house and hope that you all take this review seriously and maybe upgrade beds, fans, just basic things so that we may want to book for next year. Otherwise I guess there's Air B&B. Have a nice day."

"Perfect Beach Rental
Being locals in the area, my family and I stayed here as our temporary home while our home was going through major construction. We stayed here for a month and it truly felt like we were on vacation. Literally steps to the beach and it is situated away from the crowds but close enough to walk to the restaurants & shops. We will definitely rent back as a staycation next year. "

"Great location. Needs better beds
The home is in a great location. The inside was very clean and it's nice to have a washer/dryer. Total people in the home was my wife, 2 daughters, and myself. The furniture in the kitchen and bedrooms need to be up graded. We paid $1500 for 2 nights and it felt like sleeping on a Bale of hay. All the beds were super old and worn out. Mind you we are not college kids who party and crash wherever so things like this make a difference to us. The chairs for the dining table were literally falling apart and pose a hazard when sitting on them. And no, we are not overweight people. Average build. Also about 50% of the window covers are broken. Everything in the house from the pots and pans to the chairs is very cheap. I understand it's an investment but again for that kind of price tag I expected more. Also would like to add that my with red awning was horrible. I had to call book directly in order to get instructions on the pick up location of the keys. I left a voice message every day for a week as well as emails and never received a response from red awning. it wasn't until I contacted directly and express that I was going to be reporting the transaction as fraud that someone finally called me back . "New Years Adventures
We had 3 pregnant women, their husbands and 1 toddler staying for a week. The location is fantastic. There were a few leaks that resulted in a huge puddle in the walkway of one of the rooms which then resulted in a mildew smell. The maintenance crew came out in a timly manner but were asked to fix the dishwasher after we had left, we only had a day left of our stay. They insisted on coming in resulting in a longer time away from the beach. It rained most of the time we were there, they came on one of the only non-rainy days. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to get there and then wait until they were done. One of the chairs was broken and a 38 week pregnant woman almost fell to the floor. The front room had sand all over the carpet. The location is perfect, the house is adorable. I wish the house was looked over a little better before we got there. Seems like the company needs to be in better communication with the owner. "

"Pros and Cons
We were 9 guests ages 2 to 74 and the location was great for everyone: nice walking neighborhood for the adults, good biking for the younger, EASY beach access for all (no streets to cross,LGuard station close). Having the whole house meant no concerns about routine noise level. The house could have been better equipped: kitchen tools, places to dry towels, several broken chairs, fridge is old, etc."

"Pretty Good
Pretty good house. Parking is bad. BBQ sucks.
Nice close to beach. Pletny of room. Would not rent again."

"family get away + Disney
The house was well located for our use and lifestyle. The beach was a block away & no streets had to be crossed. Great for the little ones. Bikes provided gave good get-aways to beach & the "wedge" 6 blocks away. Neighborhood was quiet, out of the commercial district, yet very interactive being on the corner. Front deck was always in the shade, fun to interact with passers by. House slept 9 just fine. One bath seemed to be manageable, two would be better. Kids bed in alcove room is too high to allow 4-7 yr old sleep, no railing and fall would be big hurt. Couple of notes, broiler in stove full of grease, floors swept but not mopped thus dirty on bare feet. Window ventilation and ceiling fans kept house cool at night. Would rent this again in a heart beat even though somewhat dated. Living room large & lots of seating. Perhaps a ceiling fan in the living room?
Did not use firepit in small side patio."

"Grand Faded Lady
We (8 peeps) had an activity-packed, May-June week of family reunion in this well laid-out house, w/ huge sunlit windows. (The sand & beach is a 1 minute, no traffic, walk.) The tv, dvd player, & internet work fast & consistent. The bikes & beach chairs are super, as is the large kitchen w/gas stove. Shower pressure is amazing, as is the outdoor warm water shower, for after beach rinses. The 1 & 1/2 baths were very clean, as was kitchen, rest of house needs a deep clean. W/D works well. Great front deck, w/table & umbrella, but close to active street for little ones. Back & side decks have privacy fences, a bbq & portable fire pit. 1 good parking space in front of garage. If we owned this house, we would wash the decks, replace non-functional dining rm chairs, provide new mattresses w/waterproof covers, rip out dirty & stained bedrm carpets, replace bdrm skylight, give walls fresh paint & service the a/c. The kitchen knives we sharpened & purchased a crescent wrench for bike seat adjustments. As usual, Burr White staff was always responsive to our questions & requests. 1/4 mile to Balboa Village & Balboa Island Ferry. Quiet, friendly, location. "

"Great Value! Wonderful Location! Well Apportioned Home!
This home has it all. Plenty of space for our family of five, lots of useful indoor and outdoor areas, and a garage full of bikes, beach chairs and water toys. Rent it now! The half-block walk to the beach made it easy for each child to walk alone if needed (youngest is 10). We biked to the Balboa Fun Zone and Pier, Newport Pier area, and walked along the jetty and the Wedge. Never saw the neighbors except in passing. Parking was easy. Linens were plentiful and house was very clean. Burr White is a gracious, easy rental company to work with, offering many special touches that made our stay even better. Thank You!"

"Hooray for our stay near Newport bay!
Burr White staff was efficient from start to finish. Prior to check-in, I received regular email updates. On check-in day, their office was packed with eager vacationers. The process was expedient and friendly. The tote bag, towel, bucket, etc. was an unexpected and nice touch. When some minor service was needed for a smoke alarm and light bulbs, Burr White staff quickly responded and resolved everything in a professional and respectful manner. We hope to have another chance to rent from Burr White in the future."

"Family vacation
The location was great . The kids loved the outdoor shower . The kitchen was well equipped and our family enjoyed cruising on the beach on the bicycles that were in the garage . I would recommend this house to anyone. "

"Amazing Weekend
Pros: amazing location, cozy house. Big enough not to bump into people. clean (except bath tub). Living rooms and kitchen were spotless and so the rest of the bedrooms. Burr White people were very professional. Will rent from them again anytime. One of the neighbors was very pleasant and friendly.
Cons: Older neighbor came knocking around 6 pm & asked us not to make loud noise after 10:00 pm which was OK. A woman went by and
kept taking pictures of us/house/activities??? was weird.

"Our Stay
Great Location close to the beach. Very nice seating room for family to gather abd a nice kitchen and dining area. No off street parking so you have to look for a street parking spot. Didn't bother us becuse we are use to the drill having come to the beach for many years.

Have to watch small kids as the front piurch opens to a very busy sidewalk and street. Air conditioning was very nice as well."

"129 G Street is Heavenly
We loved 129 G Street from the minute we first saw it. Charming, emaculate, great layout and amenities. We had a wonderful time there and would love to go back sometime."

"Clean and Convenient (but 2 minor things to be aware of)
It's a well-maintained house four or so houses down from the beach. The beach is beautiful down at Peninnsula Point and so a beachfront house, looking out onto the beach and water is a real draw. If 129 G St is discounted properly because it lacks this feature, this house is a great deal (keeping in mind two little minor issues I note below)

Everything was as advertised and we enjoyed our stay (with 2 kids). The house is stocked with wares and appliances and linens, but you should know that the mattresses are not comfortable (they are just old now) and that the sidewalk out front is very busy in the summer as it is the continuation of the beachfront boardwalk that ends a couple of blocks away. This latter fact makes stepping out of the front door with little ones a little treacherous. As for the beds, you'll be glad to get home to your own after a few nights.

Also, the garage is tiny (maybe fits a Prius) and so you are really only insured one parking space (in front of the garage). That's not as big a deal as you might expect down in Newport Beach. There were almost always a few spots nearby even during peak hours.

Overall: Easy, Relaxing and Clean."

"Family Beach Trip
The house was very roomy and well decorated for a beach rental. The kitchen and bathrooms had been remodeled and were great and well equipped. It was nice being so close to the beach. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our granchildren had a wonderful and memorable time. I used to stay in that area with my family when I was a child - many happy memories. Let's do it again! The corner location was a bit busy and we had to caution our grandchildren to be careful when stepping off the deck because of the number of bikes on the sidewalk. We survived and had a great time building memories for them."

"Good place to stay
The company was great to work with. We had to change our dates about a month prior to our vacation, and they were easy to work with. The house is very clean, although the decor is random, cheap, and cheesy. My only complaints are the garbage cans and the the mattresses. There are only two tiny trash cans and trash service on Mondays. We had a full house and ate in most nights, so by the end of the week the cans were overflowing and flies were everywhere. The mattresses were not very comfortable, but we were still able to sleep. Lots of kitchen and living space. We were not crowded with 9 people + a toddler. Outdoor shower is a nice amenity, although the outdoor deck could use a little repair. The location is fanstastic. We didn't have too difficult a time finding parking in mid-July, and we brought 3 cars. There were some bikes and boogie boards in the garage that we used several times. The beach is very close and not insanely crowded like at Newport Pier. Overall, we had an amazing vacation despite the flies and mattresses. "

"129 G. Street
Our extended family had a great week at the beach. For the price, the location is great and it's on the quiet end of the peninsula. The only complaint was the beds were not very comfortable. "

"The Hein Family Beach Vacation
Everything at the rental property was ready for us to settle in as soon as we arrived from Texas. The property management staff was very helpful and provided all the information we needed. The neighborhood was great and we felt secure in allowing the grand kids to come and go to the beach as they wished. We thought that parking was going to be a challenge with all the summertime beach goers but it worked out and never had to park to far from the house. Even restaurants and shopping were within walking distance of the place. So it was all good."
Jun 20, 2013 - Warren H., Friendswood, TX

The garage on-site was not adequate to park our mid-sized car. If this is a consideration in the rent charged and an promised amenity ...??"
Aug 30, 2011 - Chris M., La Verne, CA

Aug 08, 2011 - Jess O., Gilbert, AZ

Everything was great -- the house was nice and located close to the beach with a lot of room inside. The location being on busy corner was a bid of a set back, also the parking and very small garage was a small negative.
We did have a bit of an over reaction by Jane. We had our son-in-law visiting us (24 yrs) and his 3 friends (26, 28, & 28 yrs). While we were gone to go to the store I received a very aggressive and threatening message on my cell -- accusing us of having and leaving "children" and a threat of calling the police. Just think this call could have been made with a direct conversation and discussed exactly what really was going on and not a report from a laundry delivery person. I don't think it should be a issue to have adult guest visit without a negative reaction within 1 hour? I did understand the concerns -- but I had just rented within the last month without any issues and left the home on Bellvue in perfect shape and very clean."

"Summer Beach House on Balboa is a dream!
Very clean home, great beach location, alittle crazy being on a corner. Also, alittle difficult getting hooked up to the internet. House is very well stocked when you arrive. I'd go there again!"
Jun 10, 2010 - , Granite Bay, CA

"Balboa Peninsula Point Beach Cottage
Best Feature: Location! Balboa Blvd @ G Street; easy, flat stroll to quiet end of the beach. Daytime street noise, but very quiet at night. BPP is an exceptional residential neighborhood, fewer rental units than other peninsula locations.

Beach cottage has recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms: very nice. Four bedrooms are comfortable and adequate for a week's stay. Sunny and bright kitchen, dining room and living room.

Less than Expected: One-car garage parking is misrepresented; it's a half garage/half drive-way parking spot for mid-size car. (Street parking was easily accessible for renter and visitors) Internet connection in one bedroom only; no "work station" area. Pots and pans were in poor condition (bring your own non-stick fry pan (8/08)."
