"Perfect for a last minute get away
I loved the location of Marty’s Merry Go Round. Easy access to the beach and perfect for a sisters get away. Every thing was clean and had all that we needed. If this was my property I’d work on cleaning up the outside to make it more quaint and get rid of all the extra dining chairs. Would be nice if the place came with an extra garbage bag and broom. Other than this I’d absolutely rent this place again and again and again. "

"Great Little Place Steps from the Beach
This is a cute, unique little spot less than a block to the beach. The beds were really comfy, the space was well laid out and clean. The property isn't super private, but the decks and back yard provide a nice space for a cookout and family time. My only complaint is that there wasn't any dish soap or sponges to do dishes with. We used maybe three glasses the whole time we were there and didn't need to use the dishwasher. Other than that the place was great."

"Don’t let the Merry Go Round pass you by
We had a great stay at this cozy beach house in Surfside, SC. A last minute change had us looking for better accommodations and this was everything we needed. 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath with full living room, Kitchen and sleeper sofa. Our family of 5 absolutely loved our couple days here and would stay again. <5 minute walk to the soft sandy beach.
If you’re keeping up with the Jones’ then this might not be for you however Justin and Tiffany will make sure you have everything you need for an amazing stay in paradise. "

"Location was great but the property was not well maintained
The location was perfect and it was right by the beach. Management was very responsive. The manager Justin, went above and beyond in helping us. The bathrooms were clean but the beds had dirty sheets and comforters on them. The comforters were heavily stained. The couch sheets were dirty. There was cobwebs and dust on the window units, ceilings, and blinds. The sponges and dish cloths were dirty. The floors needed to be swept and the table in the kitchen was dirty. There was mold on the second bedroom’s curtains. This was brought to the manager’s attention and was hopefully resolved for future guests. The air conditioner in the second bedroom broke. The door to the washer and dryer popped off its hinges when we opened it. Hopefully all these problems will be fixed for future guests because the location cannot be beat. If booking this location I would recommend bringing your own linens."

"Mini vacation at Marty's Merry Go Round
My husband and I went to Surfside Beach for a spur of the moment long weekend with our son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. We were lucky to get the little round house for 2 nights. It was cute,comfortable and clean. We were within a short walk to the beach. We had a really nice weekend there."

"You don't get what is pictured.
Check in took awhile because the cleaning service hadn't called to tell the management they were done. When we got to the house the outside was dingy and the deck needs replaced. The outside furniture was too dirty to use. Inside the furniture is not what was pictured. The flooring is uneven and warped. The appliances are so Ole they barely work. Dishwasher never worked. At night there were giant water bugs everywhere. They covered the deck on the first night and after that they were climbing inside from somewhere. Overall we enjoyed our vacation but not where we were staying."

"Stay away- no emergency contact for no hot water or unsafe oven
This was the worst VRBO I have ever been to. We went over New Years Eve weekend and had no hot water for a day and half and NO EMERGENCY CONTACT AT ALL -we left NUMEROUS EMAILS and VMs letting the rental agency know and didn’t hear back until Monday AFTER WE LEFT!!
The oven was a safety hazard, there was brown liquid leaking out of the shower wall (gross!!) the place IS NOT UPDATED, it smelled musty- we have requested a refund and have not heard back We sent pictures of brown liquid to the rental agency and got a response AFTER WE CHECKED OUT, that yes it is indeed gross and they wanted to send someone over to fix it. STAY AWAY"

Thanks to MBM for listening and sending out a rep to replace the bedframe which provided no back support for the first week of our stay. Other than that, this property was just uncomfortable, bug infested, and dirty. Overall, not a good working vacation experience, and I would not suggest this property. "

"Disappointing
The location is ideal, however, the place is in poor condition. The deck was rotting, and the furniture had stains all over it. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. With proper repair this place would be excellent."

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a month and it was perfect! You cannot beat the location. The place was clean and had everything we needed. It’s close enough to walk to things to things to do like bars, restaurants, arcades, the beach or pier for fishing. The neighbors are all really nice and it’s a great neighborhood. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. "

"Shabby
I was fully prepared to stay in what looked like a manufactured yurt trailer that was obviously from the year I was born. I don’t mind if things aren’t new and shiny, and great location looked GREAT. I could NOT GET OVER how incredibly shabby and grubby everything was. The floor didn’t feel clean, the couch looked like it belonged in a frat house and the master comforter was OLD AS THE HILLS. I’d planned to cook some meals in the kitchen area but it was too depressing, the tin foil on the stove and the age-old cooking film on all the cabinets. It seems that since this place has been rented out there has been little to NO maintenance updates. Quite a disappointment. "

"Amazing family vacation
I’m the husband of Casey and my father Alan came along with us for a weekend that is going to go down in the memory book for the rest of time! Amazing vacation with our family as we had stayed recently at another AirB&B closer to the main road, but this approximately 200yrd walk made this along with all the other accommodating amenities the better choice! Thanks for a nice easy going weekend with family that way made perfect with the right choice in a stay!"

"Just OK
Cottage had been recently renovated, but needs a lot more work. All and all stay was just OK. Kitchen is tiny and table and chairs are so close to frig that you can not open the door. The Ice maker does not work, must not have any water line to frig because there is no cold water. Kitchen cabinets are full of unneeded items, i.e. parfait glasses. One big concern is they have a ceiling pot rack which is not completely over a shelf so you can head your head on it and it is full of heavy pots and glass cover on top which will fall out if you're not careful and with the glass pot covers on top it's. very dangerous. No where to put your food or supplies except one small shelf. This unit is not set up for a rental. The remote control to the TV batteries failed and we had to go buy new ones which we left in the remote. The tubs were clean however the kitchen stove top had not been cleaned and the stove is very old, although it does work. It needs a major cleaning not just surface cleaning. It was close to the beach, just a very short walk, and the lot is beautiful with big trees and very relaxing in the cool mornings. The Myrtle Beach Management staff was friendly and efficient. Be careful to go to their new location, just a door on street side kinda hard to see. "

"GREAT STAY AND MANAGEMENT!!
Our vacation rental experience was Excellent!Family trip with my mother,my 13yr old niece and my 9yr old nephew.When we arrived,the rental was in fine shape and the air conditioning was on and cool inside.I immediately checked the place out and reported anything that was out of the ordinary and the management company was right out to fix any problems we had.(Not Many)The glass blender had a crack in it,and they brought over a brand new one so we could make smoothies.The freezer door wouldn't close all of the way,some ice that had built up was the cause of the door staying opened & had melted into the floor.Within minutes of my phone call the management was out fixing the problem and cleaning up the water!The hose pipe handle seal outside had broken a couple days into our vacation which we used every time we came back from the beach to rinse off, causing water to spray every where leaving no water pressure but again right away someone was out and replacing the part.The kitchen was well stocked with plates,cups,cooking utensils, and pans so we cooked meals every day(AWESOME)Trash pick up schedule was on the refrigerator,Even though We had Trash Angels! One day we came back from the beach and someone had already pulled our trash cans out and the next morning after pick up someone put our trash cans back!The walk to beach was in fact the same amount of steps they advertised on the Beach cottage!There were only three negatives we came up with after our Charming stay at Marty's Merry Go Round; my mother really wanted a clothes line to hang up clothes instead of using every inch of space on the nice wrap around porch,the outside shower was not in workable condition it would have been ideal to use instead of the hose pipe or taking turns with the inside shower,and the pull out couch mattress was horrible-I ended up putting every couch cushion under it every night in order to get comfortable. Thanks so much we hope there are some updates and we WILL see you this summer!!"

"Close but a Miss
The photos are not representative of the house. The house is very old with significant water damage, especially in the master suite. The second bathroom has a bifold door, not a real one. The house does not have central heat and air, it has wall AC units. We arrived and the house smelled like must and was not clean. The towel racks were broken, the shower was broken, I had to clean before I even unpacked. Candles helped with the smell. Having one tv and 5 teenagers was not pleasant. I messaged the staff and they replied that it was like that due to the humid atmosphere and for me to not burn candles. That's it. Also it took 7 days to get the security deposit back. If you don't care where you stay and just want to be close to the ocean, this is for you. We cleaned it up and made do but it isn't something I would choose again. If you like clean, comfortable, and close, stay elsewhere. "

Adorable little round cottage, perfect for just the two of us. When we first arrived DishTV was off and the shower knob did not work correctly, but the property manager came right away and gladly fixed the small issues. Very nice gentleman. Very short walk to a beach access. Perfect location."

"Martys merry go round
It was a decent stay. There were a number of things that we disliked. There is a cockroach problem inside and out. We spotted multiple bugs in the cabinets in the kitchen. The refrigerator leaks water also. The beds were confortable, except the pull out couch. It was covered in filth so we bought a air mattress. There is also no electrical outlet outside to charge a golf cart. We had to buy an extension cord just to charge it. The outside grill was also unusable. Full of rust and old. "

"Villa review
The staff at the office was great, the property smelled like it had been closed up..a old like smell that wasn't nice...the outside was dirty and you couldn't sit outside and enjoy it..yes I know I could have cleaned it but that's not what I came on vacation 's a drop cord right behind the sink in the second bedroom that is dangerous, if the sink leaks it's not going to be nice, someone is going to get hurt..Didn't like the washer and dryer been right there in the room either.."
