"Do not stay here
When we arrived there were 2 bathroom sinks that were filthy (shaved hair in the sink and back up stuff in one sink and brown stuff with foam in the other sink. Bathrooms marginally cleaned. Kitchen marginally cleaned. Dishes DIRTY with food on them and we had to clean. Not a useable pan in the kitchen. We went to the office and showed them pictures of the sinks and the conditions of the pots and pans. They sent housekeeping again who only rinsed the sinks and did not clean! They gave us a new pan we could use thank goodness so we could at least could cook. Disgusting "

"July 2023 Family Vacation
The location of Ocean One #101 is great. The unit is in need of TLC. All bedding is at least 5 yrs old, the kitchen supplies are less than adequate. We had to buy a pan as the largest one available was 8 inches. The attention to a clean turnover is seriously diminished. The sheets in the queen bedroom had not been changed, with evidence they had been slept in; had to wash upon arrival. Would recommend with skepticism, as the noted items should be addressed."

"Nice visit to Hilton Head
We had a nice time but the condo we rented really needs some freshening up. The walls need new paint BAD, the furniture needs updating as it’s worn out and not comfortable at all. ( mainly the living room). The towels were very dingy and old looking as well, so I actually went and bought towels, bath cloths and a coffee maker to use while there because the ones provided was so old and worn out."

"Last minute spring break getaway
Management company communicated effectively that there was construction taking place within the complex. This did not effect our stay with regard to noise etc.. and I was pleased that we were made aware of this prior to arriving. Unit was spacious and clean. Location is great with access to the pool and beach. Would highly recommend. Only complaint was we were disturbed by a real estate agent who was apparently there to show the property with a group of people and we were not expecting them. "

This was our first time to stay at Ocean One 101. We had a great time. The location is amazing, the unit was perfect for our family reunion. Clean, well maintained, there was nothing negative about our stay here at all. We are all ready talking about returning again next year! "

"Great location
We have been coming to Hilton Head for several years and we love the Ocean One property and location. This unit was perfect for two families with kids. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and most of the unit has been updated. We love the ease of the first floor for the kids to play outside in the grassy area and have easy access to the pool and beach. Our only complaint would be the kitchen. Very limited pots/pans and the condition of them was definitely deteriorating. The freezer also had a lot of frost build up, which I saw in another review from a few months ago, so it is too bad that hasn’t been addressed. The beds were comfortable, the unit was clean and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay in this unit again. "

"Perfect Beachfront Condo for 3 couples
this was a very nice walk out condo. We went with 2 other couples and had a great time. I wish it had been up one level for ocean views, but aside from that it was super nice. We could walk right out to the ocean, pool and BBQ area. Open the doors and hear the band next door at the Tiki Hut. Great experience!"

"Great location on the beach, especially for children
Location near Coligny Circle was convenient for quick shopping/groceries. Wonderful playground across the street for children. Unit was clean but I am real picky on cleanliness, so floors could have been dusted better and frig had some major spill issues that were never cleaned properly. Needed to take glass shelves out and scrub. Plush towels, comfy beds, bathrooms for each bedroom made our stay comfortable. Lots of beach toys, chairs available."

"Thanksgiving 2021: Great location but poor accommodations..
The location of the condo was convenient to shopping and dining establishments. The music from the bar next door was very loud and intrusive, even with the sliding glass door closed.
The kitchen was in very poor condition and lacked some of the necessities found in other rental properties. Most of the kitchen utensils were in poor condition.
The freezer drawer on the refrigerator did not close securely, allowing the freezer drawer to build up ice/frost on all the interior surfaces of the drawer, negatively impacting the capacity of the drawer. The automatic icemaker did not function due to it being covered with ice itself. The filter on the HVAC equipment was more that 50% blocked by accumulated dust and debris."

"Perfect Location
We had a fabulous vacation! The condo exceeded our expectations. Four couples in our group. Plenty of room for everyone. Every bedroom has their own bathroom and their own television. The location can’t be beat. Right on the ocean, beautiful pool, Tiki Bar right next door. Walking distance to so many shops, stores, restaurants, and bars. "

"Very convenient when staying with young children
Nice ground floor unit. With young children it is so easy to just walk out to the pool and beach. Kitchen is nicely stocked with essentials. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Lots of TVs for everyone. Fortunately the music from the hotel next door ends about 10 PM. We enjoyed our stay."

"Fantastic
Very large 4 bed 4 bathroom. Great location to everything. Be aware though that you only get 2 parking spaces in the lot for the unit and there is no overnight parking around the area besides airport. Defiantly will stay again this is our second time in this building and the first in this unit. It has everything you need for a great family stay. "

"Seamless
The property is in a great location; it is walking distance from the grocery store and restaurants and is just steps from the beach and pool. The unit is well stocked and was in good shape and kept clean.
I particularly liked dealing with a local rental company instead of national companies that are not responsive and work through other subs and vendors. I made one call to the rental office and spoke with a real person who answered my inquiry in 2 minutes.

"Excellent Multi Family Layout
We loved our stay! The music was awesome while sitting on the patio. I thought it was going to be an issue though when we but the kids to sleep, but it wasn't. They were too tried from playing at the beach. The layout was perfect. My sister and her husband stayed in the front bedroom, my parents off the living room, and my family (2 kids, 2 adults) took the other side. It was almost like we had a whole "wing" to ourselves."

Overall it was good. Not as nice as the pictures but still nice. Just an older building. Things were clean. Bed was comfy. Living room could use more seating as we had 9 people and ended up sitting in the dining room chairs to watch tv at the end of the night. Close to beach and pool. "

"Another memorable family vacation!
Our twelfth annual family vacation to Hilton Head was wonderful, in spite of the Covid-19 virus concerns. This was our first time at Ocean One but we loved the condo and location and will plan to return again in the future. No complaints with the condo or property. The only issue we had was the limited parking (only two vehicles per unit permitted)."

"Wonderful week
We loved our stay at ocean one 101. It is a gorgeous condo and accommodations were perfect for our family. The kids loved the bedroom with the 3 twin beds. We enjoyed being on the first floor so the kids could go play in the grass and we had easy access to the pool and beach access. My only complaint is that seashore vacations gave my sister in law the info at check in and never checked her ID and her name was not on the reservation. She arrived there before me and I did not give approval for her to get the key info. Other than that, the condo was great!!"

"Beautiful condo
The place was beautifully remodeled. Plenty of space for us. The showers in the queen/king rooms were AMAZING! Would've been nice to have the twin room bath with a more upgraded shower/tub combo, but we didn't even use it. The bath rug in that bathroom needs washing. Seems neglected. Would also recommend putting up blackout curtains in the front room. The breezeway lights fully illuminate the room. Location was great too. We got to see the first lantern parade. So cool! The only big complaint we had was the cleaning lady showed up at 9:25am, when checkout was at 10am. She insisted non coming in to pull sheets to put them in the washing machine. We felt very rushed and did not appreciate it it at all. Overall, we'd rent again though. Thanks! "

"Perfect location and nice accommodations
We had a great time. The location was perfect - right on the beach, close to shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed hearing the live music from the Holiday Inn Tiki Bar next door. The layout of the condo was really nice. Our only complaint would be that the grass wasn’t cut until right before we left, but to be fair, maybe it had something to do with the storm threat the week prior. One thing we do wish is that there had been better communication about what was there at the condo. If we had known that there were beach towels, chairs, toys... then we wouldn’t have packed our own. It made it difficult because the instructions tell you to store your beach gear in the storage room outside the unit to keep the sand out of the condo, but the storage unit was full of beach gear already. All-in-all though, you can’t go wrong here. The beds were comfortable, the showers/bathrooms were great and the location can’t be beat!"

"Wonderful vacation condo
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ocean one 101. This was our second year staying at this property. The condo has been completely renovated which made our stay even better than last year. You can't beat the proximity to the ocean and the pool was relaxing too. Short walk to Coligny is nice too. We also enjoyed the live music everyday at the tiki bar next to the property. We will definitely be back. "

"Perfect Stay
Overall 5 stars. Can’t beat location of this condo. The first floor was perfect getting out the yard with kids every morning. The beach access is so close. Everything about the condo was updated and comfortable. Love the four bathrooms. All beds very comfortable. The decorations were so warm and tasteful. Very nice stay!!"

"Great location with little babies
Loved the location with having 2 babies with us. Loved the layout of condo, however the monkey chair in living room is so old I felt like I was going to sink and never get out. Also the in the master bedroom the outlet on back wall did not work. I really love this condo I just wish it was upgraded."

"Pledge the Pink
We did not realize that we were going to be so close to the action at the bar and restaurant next door. It kept us from sitting outside on the patio but others might enjoy it. I like music but bands were not good. TV did not work in the living area but we got someone to come and fix it. those things should be checked ahead of time. And although the unit is livable, a good freshening up could make a world of difference. Thanks."

"Great location, but pricey for the rundown place
The location of Ocean One can’t be beat. We also liked being so close to the live music next door at the Tiki Hut. The condo itself was laid out nicely and the rooms were spacious. However, we did have issues that were avoidable.
Upon arriving, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and dirty socks in a bed. There was a leak in the plumbing and during our stay the carpet was soaked in a bedroom and the maintenance company had to come out to change part of the carpet and put huge fans in a bedroom. They were friendly and professional, but loud fans and construction sounds were not how we wanted to spend 2 days of the vacation. It was very disappointing that we were not compensated for the inconvenience or even spoken to afterwards about it.
The complex itself needs to be fixed up. When in the pool, we couldn’t sit or lean on the edge of it because it was sticky. It almost seemed like they used the wrong type of paint. The stairs, elevators, and hallways were dirty.
For the price of Ocean One we expected a lot more. "

"A nice oceanfront stay
The condo was nice but we did not spend much time in it thankfully due to nice weather. It is outdated and could use significant updating and furniture replacements. We found out no one had stayed since November and it was not surprising. We booked last minute for Easter week so the picking was slim when it came to 4 bedroom rentals. The WIFI was out which was a problem for my husband since he runs a company and it was a “working vacation.” It took 2 business days to have the issue fixed."

"Extended Family Get Away
Our first time to Hilton Head was a success! We are a family of seven, ages 9 to 79. Manager was welcoming. We recommend One Hot Momma's BBQ and The Salty Dog for delicious food. Our condo was comfortable, spacious and great for many family home cooked meals. Rented bikes for the week, shopping, wine tasting, horse back riding, beach and pool time, evening walks. Loved not having to deal with an elevator. Beach was a small walk from our door. Wish I was there now!"

"Cannot beat 1st floor convenience
We love Ocean One and have been staying there for years. Though other units have been updated a little more, you can't beat the convenience of being able to walk out to pool and beach from 1st floor-so convenient. Kitchen could use a few new items such as can opener that works, sharp knives that cut, etc and ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be nice. Overall a great unit with no bugs and we would stay again."

"Far From Clean Condo
The coco size and location are great. It is also well stocked. However, I'm not sure it has ever been cleaned. Coffee grounds in the coffee maker and food in the dresser drawers indicate someone had been there prior to our stay. How did they manage the trash and animal feces on the porch, webs and dirt in every room or the linens that were stained and looked as if they had been used to clean a car. One bed was without a mattress pad and the power was turned off while we were there. Property management had it turned back on and even called the cleaning service who came on Monday. Good to know we didn't stain their weekend! Now we know why the only reviews are from last fall! I understand there are very nice units in the complex-not this one."

Overall a great vacation experience. We all loved the convenience of the location to Coligny Plaza and Holiday inn. Grounds were well kept and pool was in great shape. Unit 101 was in good condition with everything we needed for cooking and all appliances were in good operating condition. Our internet and phone was out until Monday since the owner overlooked paying their recent bill but seashore immediately took care of it Monday morning. The head boards of the queen and the twin beds were very loose. The one walk out from the the master bedroom seemed collect a lot of debris from the grounds due to how the ocean breeze funnels through. This area should be area that the cleaning people should make sure to pick up."

"Great Location and a Great place to stay !
This was at a perfect spot for our family get-together.
Beach access was private and the walk to the beach was short.
Getting the keys and the access to the house was painless even at 1:00 AM.
The rental agency was very responsive and had made things really easy.
The beach, Coligny Shopping Plaza and bike rentals were 5 min. walk. Even grocery stores are close by.
House was clean and well equipped.
Overall we had a great experience !"

"My Family Vacation at Ocean One
On a positive note, the 1st floor provided easy access to the pool & beach area. the Wi-Fi worked well. On a negative note, this property did not measure up to the money paid. For example music at the Holiday Inn next door was so loud at times it interfered with the visit. Other examples were a toilet handle was not attached & came off, a light switch plate was not attached, the fitted bottom sheet on the king size bed I slept in continually came lose during the night every time I got up to use the bathroom. The appliances in the kitchen are very dated & noisy. The air conditioning was either to cold or too hot. I had 6 adults & 2 grandchildren in the unit, which made it roomy enough, but I wish I had rented a vacation rental that was much better furnished & more upscale. I do realize some of the problems I mentioned above are just part of an older built building, but I also realize that there are some very nice rentals we stayed in over the years at Shorewood the next property over. Each condo is privately owned & how well it appears has a lot to do with the attention the owner gives it. I just feel this unit needs some serious love & care it needs. "
