St. Croix Virgin Islands

St Croix US virgin island is considered the "Big Island" at 26 miles long and 6 miles wide at the widest point. However, this may be deceiving because although it may seem as though you can travel from one side to the island to the other in thirty minutes, it is improbable. The roads are usually only two lanes, very curvy, and you may have to stop from the occasional "Crucian Traffic Jam". For those of you who don't know what a "Crucian traffic jam" is, it's the rare occurrence of a goat, chicken, or horse crossing the road!

The United States virgin island of St. Croix has weather that is every vacationer's dream! Who would not want to travel to an island where the weather is warm all the time? The sun shines with an average temperature of 80 degrees during the day and during the evenings, the temperature drops to an average of 70 degrees. There is also a nice breeze that comes from the east that keeps the islands humidity at a low.

It's part of the reason that the island and its reef have been made into a National Park. There are many full day and half day trips to the island, so it is not hard to actually get there. However, many say that there is a problem trying to get the people to leave. One of the beaches on Buck Island, Turtle Beach, has been voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches by national geographic.
